The food was beautiful and didn't have to wait to long, also great service

High quality food with good options for all dietary persuasions. Great atmosphere and friendly staff.

Food was average. Staff very pleasant.

I do not recommend it. The potatoes were burnt... the other dishes had a so-so flavor.

Only bar review- been many times, love the vibe, nice beers & wine but every time service is painfully slow. Mid week, weekends, late or early its always the same slow service. Nice decor, and seen some lovely musicians in it too! I'd still recomend it but bring a book.

Absolutely jammed the night we went, should never have been allowed entry due to the high numbers of people already in there. Stood at the back of the bar and was asked to move because of health and safety. I asked where they'd like us to go and was directed to the main part of the bar again where there wasn't room to move. Think this was more of a health and safety issue. We didn't stay and headed on somewhere else.

What a great place! My friend and I Booked an early dinner, we arrived to a lovely staff member showed to our table straight away.. We had the deep fried brie which was excellent, then the turkey dinner, also very good. Service was excellent, food fantastic, a busy, fast pace great afternoon/evening. Highly recommend

Just a drink...so bar review only....on a night out with just my wife....a busiest ish night in December so you would expect that the bar would be prepared....not at all...we actually stayed for 3 drinks so I'm very happy to leave a balanced review which I believe should be representative of service. In one word....."shocking".....3 behind the bar which I wouldn't criticise....except there were about 8 other members of waiting staff walking about ..."we're not bar staff attitude "...picking up the odd glass etc. I've had 20 plus years in catering industry and I have to day ...I left in disgust. I just couldn't stay any longer with such poor management. Please address service and the bar will live up to its expectations

A week ago I booked a table and had to pay a deposit of £20. The following day I had to cancel the booking and after a week the deposit has not been refunded to my credit card!! A very poor way to do business!! I’ll definitely not be back

Always very busy on a Friday evening as commuters call in for a quick pint. Usually a musician playing Fri as to the atmosphere. I haven't tried the food.

Pre theatre dinner and booked for 5pm. No starter but two mains, two desserts, two soft drinks and a cappuccino for £60 and the food was very good, along with the atmosphere and the service. Excellent for food at any time and very convenient to the Ulster Hall in Belfast. Will certainly be back.

Dined in sweet afton as part of a work Christmas dinner. Food was incredible and the staff (including the restaurant manager) were so lovely! Bonus points for the mixture of live music and regular

Absolutely appalling experience. Went for an Xmas works meal, and when we arrived, 7 of us were expected to eat our meal on a table designed for 4. After complaining we were moved to a bigger table. Booked for 1730 and pre ordered food but didn't get our starter until 1835, and when it arrived, it was barely warm. Then we had to wait a further 40 mins for the main course to arrive and this was luke warm. Round slice of turkey (processed), a tiny slice of ham, one roast potatoe, and 2 sprouts and small portion of mash. Also had to Wait 25 mins for our drinks order to arrive. Complained to the manager whose attitude was "so what". £39 for that?? Avoid like the plague. 7 very disappointed and angry customers.

Loved the many layers/levels to this cleverly designed pub. Very good use of lighting. Seems to be popular for sport with the big screens & also had live music. Drinks are not the cheapest around, food looked good but didn't try any on this occasion.

Ciara and the staff were amazing, the food was amazing and top tier, the staff ran to Tesco to get candles to put onto my dessert as my mama asked for my birthday amazing service

Friendly staff, lively atmosphere and tasty food

Byron was our waiter. We got the swordfish and the chicken supreme. Was absolutely delicious and the service was impeccable. Credits to Byron for his kindness and for going out of his way to make me and my wife feel at home away from home. Will reccomend to my fellow American travellers who are visiting this beautiful country

La comida era normal, el servicio terrible, ya que tenía que ir al bar a tomar bebidas mientras cenaba y los baños de caballeros vil. Claramente no mantienen la limpieza en un lugar alto de sus prioridades. No recomendaría.

El bar estaba excepcionalmente ocupado como se esperaba para un sábado por la tarde. Me paré en el bar al que me preguntaron si estaba bien. Dijo que sí, que me atendieran. Me dijeron que tendría que pararme al otro lado. Hice lo que me indicaron. Así que me paré y esperé pacientemente como tú hasta que todos los clientes frente a mí fueron atendidos. Solo entonces para que fuera mi turno y fue completamente ignorado por quien solo podía pensar que sería la figura de autoridad detrás de la barra. El mismo tipo que me dio instrucciones de pasar al otro lado de la barra. Tres veces me miró sabiendo muy bien que necesitaba que me sirvieran y pasó a mi lado hasta el otro extremo del bar y atendió a los clientes que habían venido en ling después de que yo hubiera estado de pie. Huelga decir que siendo gerente de un bar durante más de 22 años, me sentí afligido. Nos fuimos y puedo decir que ciertamente no volveremos allí. Si hubiera podido dar una calificación cero lo habría hecho. Entiendo perfectamente lo que se requiere. El arte de la "lectura de barras" obviamente se ha ido por la ventana.

El servicio y la comida era genial! Tenía el Lamb Rump y estaba delicioso. El ambiente era ideal para una experiencia culinaria irlandesa. Como entrar en una guarida. Me encantaría volver y escuchar la música en vivo la próxima vez que esté en Belfast.

Myself and a group of friends in Belfast for the day went in for a pint of beer refused service from a young man behind the bar as one of the males was wearing tracksuit bottoms even though there was other males in the bar wearing full tracksuits , terrible service and discrimination won’t be back.

This is my 4th visit to belfast and I had to come here the food is just unbelievable it's full of flavor I haven't had food like it if you read this and are in Belfast don't hesitate go here for food it's that good friendly staff , the Guinness perfect, the food 100% perfect a good atmosphere all round il definitely return every time I'm in Belfast I highly recommend this place .

Was there on a Monday lunchtime. Menu had recently changed and was fairly comprehensive. Atmosphere good probably because it was a Monday lunch time. Staff attentive.

Great pub, I visited last year, after working all day it was the closest pub to the hotel and I was very impressed, great choice of beers, live music, great atmosphere.....you could not ask for more 👍

Beautiful environment, young and very friendly staff, low prices.

Super Belfast city location to grab a bite to eat, enjoy a drink and watch live sport. Lots of booths or screens so should always have some ability to see the game. Great table service and whem the weather is good you can sit outside when the suns out.

Atmosphere is fantastic, music is too! it's super hard to get served though soon as cocktails come out for someone your waiting 15 mins for a pint in more or less an empty bar.

Our 1st Pub to visit since arriving into Northern Ireland and it was fabulous. Everything was on point, thank you to all the staff we encountered, your hospitality was very much appreciated to us Aussie's.

Enjoyed a meal here with my partner to finish our short break to Belfast as we leave tomorrow. Food was lovely, staff friendly and had a great atmosphere.

A great wee bar and restaurant. Food is wonderfully prepared and presented, and the drinks are cold, clean and served quickly. As usual with most city centre establishments, waiting times at the bar during peak hours can be lengthy. They have a great cocktail menu too.

Very disappointed having been here a few years ago at Christmas when the food was surprisingly (for a pub) really good. Chips like concrete. Steak sandwich undercooked and literally that - steak in a thick ciabbatta - very dry and hard to eat.

Ben was a fabulous and very helpful bartender! He gave us so much info about the city. We so enjoyed chatting with him. His service and knowledge exceeded any bartender we have chatted with in town!

Terrible bar service, in 2 days in a row and had to wait 10mins to be served each time. Less than 10 customers at the bar waiting so not overly busy. For £6+ now for a pint it needs to be better. If you’re in a hurry go elsewhere, probably cheaper too!

Few of us had dinner here last night. From start to finish great experience. Our server was Bryon a lovely lad. Very knowledgeable about menu and wine. He was attentive and lovely attitude. He's definitely an asset to the bar. Food was devine we had chicken burger with a curry mayo. Devine. Wine was delicious recommended by Bryon. Just great experience and not very expensive. Tys Bryon we will be ack.

Service was the slowest I've seen in Belfast . I waited half an hour to get served, then they served a customer that was there after me because they were waving at them.. honestly? Yound immature staff. Poor. Go somewhere else.

On our first night in Belfast we came across this wonderful and cosy place. There was no need to search for anything else during our visit in July. Great food - try the fish & chips but make sure you are hungry - it is a more then decent serve. And don’t miss out on the exquisit Pavlova. Sooooo yummy. Special thanks to Byron, who looked after us during our first visit and remembered not only our names but also our preferences when we returned more than a week later. Thank you Byron👍😊

Visited on Saturday afternoon at 4pm. Nice atmosphere about the place and servers couldn't have done more. Food was excellent also. First time I have been back in a long time and it was as good as I remembered

Been here numerous times foods always been good tonight tho was served a portion of mussells that werent cooked fully quite a few where undercooked and quite a few unopened meaning dead/ineatable was told would be taken off my bill and they where.Was also offered two free cocktails for the issue after leaving i checked receipt and had been charged for the so called free cocktails would forgive if was another member of staff or mix up but same person that quoted 2 free cocktails rang my bill in, wont be back in a hurry again after such a negative experience to be told something and not honor it isnt acceptable for me.

Smelt like absolute piss like they mopped the floors with stinking water that they used in the bathrooms ruined my birthday on Tuesday

Was here for a work event! The food was surprisingly nice and the staff managed a very full venue very well. The fish and chips was really good and huge!

Very nice Restaurant with good athmosphere. The lunch had a good price, not so expensive, for staying in the middle of the city. Tip: The Clubsandwich or the Steaksandwich. Both of them are delicious.

Visited here for drinks a very busy bar. Had a really good singer on as well in the evening. Service was good along with the drinks.

We visited when it wasn't very busy but service was poor. We ordered food and drinks. When we had finished our drinks somebody grabbed the empty glasses but didn't stop to ask if we wanted another drink. Eventually we managed to order more drinks. About 50 minutes after ordering our food we asked where it had got to and the order had been forgotten. Eventually, an hour and ten minutes after ordering, the food arrived and wasn't bad, just a bit ordinary. I think we should have been offered some sort of compensation for the long wait but no good will gesture was forthcoming. If it's like that on a quiet night, I don't hold out much hope for anyone visiting when it's busy.

A really cool place with great food. We went on a Monday lunch and it felt a little bit empty so was lacking the atmosphere, but I imagine at a busier time it would be great! The Korean cauliflower wings were so yummy, as well the Sweet Afton loaded fries.

I can’t say I was impressed. The venue appears to have a 1 star food hygiene rating which I think explains the quite dirty interior. The staff were unfriendly and the beer tasted very odd. It was expensive for what it was and there’s far better places in Belfast

The staff were absolutely amazing, they went above and beyond to make our evening out even more amazing.

Best cocktails and girl behind the bar with glasses was lovely however we were there with a group of hens and spent a small fortune over a couple of hours but tried to move to a booth to be seated together after spending alot of money only to be told it was reserved. No party came in the whole time we were there so could've sat there instead of high uncomfortable stools. Towards the end we were asked to keep the noise down even though 3 of the tables close by had already been over and spoke to our party! 1 member of staff was very abrupt so we finished our drinks and took our business elsewhere. Shame really as the cocktails and young lady with glasses behind the bar were so nice!!! Here til Monday and won't be back!!!

The pub itself is so cosy however the staff are incredibly rude. This is the dirty glasses that just sit on the bar. Found this a bit strange

Great food and service. It's always busy at weekends so book a table. The food was so tasty. Cocktails were great too.

During my time here the bar staff were over pricing drinks despite it being 'Happy Hour'. I let this slide for 2x rounds of drinks before asking them about the prices on the 3rd round of drinks. After asking, the price dropped from £16 to £12. I'll give this place a miss next time.

Group of us on a visit to Belfast dropped in for a meal and a drink. Felt a little over priced for bar food but the food was quite good.

What a place!! The staff, the food and the beer are all first class, they really made us feel so welcome!! We ordered the Pil Pil Prawns which were amazing, I got the big double chicken burger while my wife had the brisket wrap, washed down with on-par Peroni and Pinot Grigio. Very enjoyable experience and thank you for looking after us!

Had the Sweet Afton burger, wasn't great especially for the price tag (£20 🤯). Staff were excellent. Didn't really enjoy the guy singing tonight, good guitarist. Not the best vocals, although we sat under the speaker

Was there watching the football on my birthday and ciara the waitress was very kind and helpful, nothing was too much hassle.My partner had the Korean wrap which was lovely and I'd the chicken burger. Food was nice especially their chips and dips that came with the mains. I had a few long island ice teas and they were a delight. Sometimes they can be hit and miss at certain places but I would recommend them here. Staff are very friendly and place overall is clean. Toilets were clean. If I had to be picky the only thing I'd say is it was a bit cold in the place and they had portable heaters out but ut didn't seem to help. Although the more long island ice teas I had the warmer I got lol.

Staff went above and beyond, were very accommodating and checked on us, even during the rush of Christmas Staff Dinner parties on a Friday. Food was great too!
