Snax 'n The City in Belfast

Popular cafe ideal for a quick bite for lunch. Irish stew is really good, but avoid ordering a jacket potato. On two separate occasions, I have been left disappointed. Potato was huge, and the amount of filling was minimal, ratio completely off. The filling I got was not what I ordered neither. Potato was very dry and bland, I was not asked if I wanted any butter. Please learn how to produce and serve a jacket as well as you produce other food items you offer as it lets you down as a business. I do not like paying £7.50 for a huge dry potato with no filling left after a couple of mouthfuls.

Male supervisor or ‘manager’ (questionable behavioural wise… rude & nonchalant), treated me as though he had other places to be or care for. Everything about my experience was disorienting & disorganised. It’s a basic tuper-ware catering company but I had to experience people shouting for a chef to put things in my full view into A CUP! NO PLATES BUT CHARGED EXTRA FOR TAKING A SEAT! Coffee was a disaster. 3 people behind tills, Doing nothing, dirty tables all around & who I believe was the owner demanding they stayed at their station. I was embarrassed for them. Will never be back. And realising that all their treats that would be served with coffee are out-sourced . PATHETIC

Always worry when offered scrambled egg because they have run out of poached and fried ones........ hardly fresh then. Ingredients tasted cheap on the sausage soda, and the sausage roll was off the takeaway shelf and drier than a camels butt crack. Coffee was okay, but when all considered the price to quality ratio means there are many, many, many better options nearby. It's a real shame, as it used to be good.

What a great little spot for breakfast

Very friendly staff. I had the Irish stew and it was delicious. But, i was late. They were closing, I said I'd eat it quickly and the server smiled and said "don't worry, take your time. We will close up around you". Very nice staff.

First time trying here afraid be the last. Ordered brown toast with scrambled egg, saug soda. Two white coffees one with extra shot. Food arrived 15 mins later scrambled egg was microwaved to inch of its life.it was awful and got white toast. Sat for another 15 mins no coffee had to go in front of everyone ask where is my coffee order. Came out like dish water no extra shot. Instead making a scene as my other half hates it when i complain we just left. What is the point complaining about badly cooked scrambled eggs. Bloody hell cant cook that shouldnt be in food industry. Wont be back

My husband went in and asked for change so we could pay the car parking fee. He was very rudely told the till wasn't open. There was four people in total unable to go in for breakfast as they wouldn't give us change to pay for the parking. Very poor customer service

Well, I tried to reserve platters for a child's birthday party back in June. I emailed them my request and heard nothing. I did not expect to be ghosted. I tried calling and the phone just rang out. The night before the party I had to come to the reality that I had no food for the party the next day. No where else could accommodate me at last minute. I had to make my own bland ham and cheese sandwiches on the day of the birthday. Oh well, they lost out on £60+ not me. Avoid this place at all costs

Waited 20 mins for 2 bagels for takeaway, and I only realised it when I opened them that they didn’t have half of the ingredients in that I paid for….

Good quiet place to stop for a coffee

Always love this spot for lunch. It’s just a very pleasant place to spend time. Notably the free glass of water - to clear the palate before soup, stew, traybake or coffee - is a small but significant bonus!

Great for lunches and salads. Any time i am in the city and can find a parking space i will always walk around. By how buy it is at lunch shows that its excellent so need to get in early!

Blink and you've passed it, but you will also have missed a treat. This café produces a warm atmosphere, quality coffee and a caramel flapjack that is worth a try. Recommended!

Was told by a friend the soup here was great when they used to frequent it....So we drove down to sample the soup to warm us up on a chilly day.....we drove to a nice leafy spot to enjoy the soup...roast parsnip which was mine, and a veg tikka.....I can honestly say I have never tasted a more vile excuse for a soup....mine was like a slightly thickened vinegar..truly..all I could taste was vinegar......my friend tasted it and simply said....oh my god....awful.....they said the tikka was extremely disappointing too..and very watery..not anything like they used to buy......I can't believe someone actually tasted that parsnip soup and released it for sale!.....I make soup myself, and I have tasted many soups from lovely places in the city but this is the first time after 2 spoons it was all thrown away....inedible

Lovely little place we stumbled upon the the first day of our trip around Ireland. So many inspiring options to chose from, opted for the Superfood Salad and am pleasantly surprised by the taste! Great, friendly staff and amazing food!

Very good and Unique choice of hot and cold foods like sandwiches, paninis' etc, staff always very friendly. Very popular spot so head early if possible as sandwiches etc tend to go quickly

Very tasty food. Very popular so can get very busy. Not the biggest inside. Quite expensive but it's worth it for the quality.

Amazing little place. Reasonably priced and you get a whole heap of food for your money. If you can't find what you'd like, they'll make it fresh for you.

Very new and clean. Great snax for anytime in the day. We’ll set out- not too crowded. Outside seating also. All fresh and a great selection. Could’ve stayed all day!

Poor customer service. Sit-in breakfast was a pantomine. First server didn't make eye contact then called me madame, kept interrupting me as I placed my order. She rushed me through the process. I took the orange juice I ordered to a table and was told the food and coffee would be brought to me. The food showed up but the coffee didnt. Then a different server unable or unwilling to bring the coffee to my table yelled out for me to come to the counter for the beverage which was in a paper cup. Given that I paid the extra few pence sit-in price, the coffee got emptied from the paper cup into a mug and eventually brought to me. Meanwhile I'd managed to spill said orange juice. The only redeming element was when a third server came to my table and cleaned up my mess and moved me to another table. By this stage I had lost my appetite and as I had already paid for the meal I got up and left the breakfast unfinished and walked out the door.

Popped in for a brunch and found a friendly welcome! Ordered scrambled eggs and bacon, with a coffee and thoroughly enjoyed it! Not cheap, but quality for the money! Will visit again

Busy little cafe, has a loyal following from all the offices in the area. Usually a large queue but moves fast due to efficient staff. Chicken curry and super food specials are great.

Popped in after spotting this on our way to Tescos Express for sandwiches. So glad we did, the sandwiches here were lovely and fresh, well filled and really tasty, also a beef sausage roll ( didn’t know that was a thing) which was fresh, lovely soft pastry and very tasty. The staff were friendly and chatty and it felt like a really nice place to support.

A gem in the heart of the city. Decent selection of freshly made food from sandwiches, salads, noodle dishes. Good coffee too. Nom! The most striking thing is how happy the staff are in Snax. There is such a great atmosphere ❤️

Nice little cafe. Had a good range of cold and warm lunches. Freshly baked scones and try baked were lovely. Small seating area and costs about £1 more to stay in but would recommend.

A relatively small cafe right in the city centre just adjacent to the City Hall. Great variety of food on offer from soup to sandwiches and paninis. Its always busy at peak times but well worth the wait.

Small cafe, reasonably priced with great selection of hot and cold food. Located on quieter backstreet with option for indoor and outdoor seating as well as takeaway. Staff very friendly. I had heated hoisin chicken noodles box, v tasty, generous portion. Would recommend for fans of pret a manger. Convenient for me, as then had to catch bus from Nearby Europe bus station. £10.20 for heated lunch and coffee - decent value considering location.

Over priced bacon salty and burnt coffee luke warm. Wouldn't recommend

"deep filled toasties" on the menu at a fiver. Honestly the smallest toastie I've ever had. Nowhere near deep filled and the smallest slices of bread I've seen. Really should have taken a photo but it was gone after a few bites.

I've recently started with an organisation in Linenhall Street, and despite being spoilt for choice in this area, Snax wins every time. One of the things I think that keeps me coming back is the staff, Becky and all the others are always friendly and obliging and chatty, which is more than can be said for a lot of places like this in the area! The food they offer is always fresh and varied. With Burrittos and specials and soup, sandwiches and curry. Another good thing about the place is definately price. Tea and toast in the morning is £3.50 or thereabouts. Lunch is £6-8 and they dont force you to buy a drink, there is water available (iced). All in all I hope they continue to thrive!

Love this place, first spotted it one morning walking home from work and since then I have to stop at least once a week if I can before I go home from nightshift. The breakfast is lovely with great prices and there is always a smile on their faces and a bit of happy light chat, makes your mornings less stressful

Always packed out but the efficient and friendly staff mean you never really have too long to wait. Good choice of food and drinks on offer to suit most tastes and budgets.

Coffee was very nice but other foodstuffs such as salads, sandwiches and milk seem to be expensive.

Working close by here I would visit it very often. Myself and work colleagues would have breakfast and lunch here regularly. Everything is freshly prepared, so you wont be disappointed with the quality of food. Staff are also very friendly which is a bonus! Would recommend a visit if you are ever in Belfast.

Great coffee and service super friendly staff

Unbearably slow. Food is good and staff are really nice but honestly I've stood waiting for my food for almost half an hour on multiple occasions. Definitely not somewhere you can just grab a quick bite to go. Complete wa ste of a lunch time if you want to go here. Also absolutely no organisation in terms of food collection. Once you order food you're supposed to wait beside the tills but there's always so many people waiting that there's no differentiation between the queue and the people waiting.

Breakfast wrap and a large amricano every other morning always on point it just can because but slow at times if I'm in a rush but staff are lovely and the girl in counter is great always remembers your first name deff my first port of call for breakfast wrap !!

This was a very good place as came for breakfast....a good range of food available and staff very quick and friendly. Slight drawback was that they charge for every single extra such as butter!! which was strange as had toast. Overall a good choice to eat.

Staff are so nice and friendly in this place! The chicken curry is the best I've tasted from a cafe. Everything is a tad over priced but I guess you get what you pay for. It gets crazy busy between 1230 and 130 so best to plan lunch early or late

Called in on reccomendation for gluten free snack while shopping . Was afternoon so the lunchtime rush had limited my options but had the soup of the day with gf bread and coffee . Just over 7 pound . Very nice. If you want something quick convient that keeps you going then this is perfect . Bit dear for what I got but can't fault staff or ambience

Visited here for a quick espresso, fifteen and and whinge about life with a mate. Traybakes are great and they have samples at the counter for you to try before you buy. Great idea to be honest. The coffee was ok, not the greatest flavour. Will visit again regardless.

Food was great - the selection was very low at 1:30pm but the server apologised and explained how busy they'd been, so go early. The servers we had were very friendly and efficient (although one guy was standing behind the counter shouting Can I help anyone?! passive aggressively lol) Would definitely go back for an earlier lunch

With out doubt ,the best boutique café in Belfast. Friendly welcoming staff, 5 star healthy food, an amazing choice of coffee and beverages. Well worth a visit, individually or with friends. Waiting time at busy periods,less than 10 minutes. Outstanding, give it a try.

Tend to overdo it with the pepper recently, particularly in their soups. So disappointing as this used to be a great place to eat and I was a regular customer. I did raise the issue but they didn't fix it.
