Pug Uglys in Belfast

Absolutely fantastic spot with incredible food. Our dog was so welcomed, and the staff even gave her treats and some water. Great atmosphere and absolutely incredible Yorkshire pudding wrap. We will be back! PS definitely reserve.

I didn't want to leave Belfast without visiting this place. We had a great time, good beer, good live music and a good atmosphere. I take back to Barcelona a good memory of this time.

Crappy service and extremely rude staff. That's Belfast for you.

Called into for a drink, the barman was almost passive aggressive, felt most unwelcome, paid with cash for our first drink then refused cash payment for our second drink

Went in with my Girlfriend yesterday just a quick drink in the nice weather and got served by an American called Dylan. The main reason I’m writing this review is because of how personable he was, how engaging he was telling us about where he was from, asking stuff about us and getting on like we had known each other for years… he made the experience of visiting a solid 10/10 memorable reason to come back. (Btw we hope he can find a similar bracelet) There was another guy with glasses , who was also really nice and great too would not want to leave him out.

Nice pub, would have spent an evening there but left early for the following reasons. Advertising live music but no signs of it starting while we were there. We visited on a Sunday at 7.15 for our evening meal but got told they had stopped taking orders, despite the server keying in an order while telling me this. Had been busy when we arrived but got quieter by the minute

My wife and I dropped in here not knowing what to expect but we were VERY impressed! The atmosphere was great, the food selection was good and the pints kept coming!! What stood out the most was the friendly, informative service we received from our server, Dillon! Making our first trip to Belfast even better!

Easily one of the best roast dinners I’ve ever had. 10/10. Everything was delicious. Unfortunately, the gent behind the bar really let this place down with his bad attitude—it set a negative tone the moment we walked in. The lady with the red hair, however, was a dream and looked after us well—she was the saving grace of the visit.

Only had a pint here whilst the footy was on but great location and atmosphere.

Buen bar, bebidas a buen precio. La comida fue decepcionante. La pasta de orecchiette era sosa las papas parmaseas estaban bien llamarían de nuevo por una bebida pero no por comida.

En nuestro viaje de tres días a Belfast fuimos a muchos pubs / bares y restaurantes y uno de estos pubs se llamaba Pug Uglys'this es un bar brillante que ofrecen una fantástica gama de comida y bebida y está situado en una excelente zona de Belfast. Este es un pub brillante con un interior brillante con decoración local y muebles locales y magníficas zonas de estar. Muestran deportes en vivo aquí y tienen música en vivo y noches de concursos y cuando visitamos aquí temprano en la noche estaba bastante ocupado. Lo que nos atrajo a este excelente pub fue el nombre de los pubs que es excelente. También ofrece una buena gama de cervezas y cuando visitamos aquí tuvimos unas pintas de Harp Irish lagers que estaban perfectamente servidos y en cuanto al precio estaban a la par con otros pubs y bares que yo y mi hermano gemelo visitó en Belfast. Este es un pub magnífico que está situado en una zona muy animada de Belfast y es un pub que yo y mi gemelo volveremos a visitar en nuestra próxima visita a Belfast. Visité este pub no porque me lo recomendaran, sino por el hecho de que me encantó el nombre y el gran hallazgo. El Pug Uglys es un pub clásico de Belfast , me encanta el aspecto de este pub, el interior es soberbio, muy tradicional, un bar de servicio de estilo isla llamativo domina la sala principal, ladrillos a la vista, características iluminadas con neón, decoración y mobiliario del pub, pantallas grandes para disfrutar del deporte y un montón de opciones de asientos repartidos por todo este pub tanto en el interior como en el exterior, es un pub realmente bueno para relajarse. Pedimos un guinness cada uno, estos se vertieron de la manera correcta, incluso dando tiempo para el asentamiento muy importante, nos relajamos y planeamos la noche siguiente mientras bebíamos nuestro guinness de cervezas. Mi guinness era absolutamente soberbio, espeso, cremoso y lo más importante helado frío, era tan bueno estar en un bar tan encantador disfrutando de una pinta de calidad de las cosas negras y se sentó con mi hermano gemelo, mejor compañero de cerveza del mundo. Realmente disfrutamos de nuestra guinness aquí antes de seguir adelante y aunque nuestra visita fue solo fugaz para una primera visita a The Pug Uglys nos quedamos totalmente impresionados. El Pub Uglys es fácil de encontrar a lo largo de Bedford Street. El horario de apertura es ; Lunes a sábado, mediodía hasta la 1 am. Domingo, mediodía hasta medianoche. Un pub maravilloso, vale la pena comprobar si estás en la zona o planeando unas vacaciones en Belfast.

Booked the upstairs function room for a surprise 30th and just wanted to say a big thank you to the girls and guys behind the bar. They were a great help with setting up decorations, serving the food and the clear up after too! Would definitely recommend for a party!

It's great to be able to have a bite to eat and a glass of beer with your pet by your side, I really don't understand why more pubs and restaurants won't allow pets, we have moved on landlords from the 80s it's about time you all did the same, pet's and owners are well behaved and very responsible.

Go get a Guinness draft beer! Very pleasant staff! I don’t think there’s any need to order food! We only order Guinness beer. Two glasses of Guinness draft beer came to about £12! I think it would be nice to go and have a drink. It was very good

Booked a table for myself and my two boys and brought our little miniature dachshund pup along too, was her first time being out with us in any restaurant/social setting. Staff were amazing, food was lush, cocktails were lovely. all in all a great experience for our family pooch included she was super chill.

Website needs updating, out of date menu/event info. Burgers are good. Sriracha chicken burger very big. Would recommend for a mixed group if some eating and some just drinking- would not recommend to come just for food though, limited options.

I visited here on a recommendation, and I'm glad I did. The service is excellent. Great customer service. The food is tasty. The atmosphere is lively, to say the least, especially when there is a football game on, be prepared to be croaky the next day after having to shout if you wanted conversation.

Hadn't been thru the doors here in years...visited again at the invitation of two pals...glad I did..!

Friendly staff, good food and atmosphere

Held a private function in their lounge and it was fantastic- just the right size for what we wanted, (just under 80 people) we had three excellent and very attentive bar staff. They have a selection of food options ranging from finger food to sit down meal options. We went for a buffet- pizza, chicken goujons, sandwiches- just a selection for our guests, they were great, everyone enjoyed the food and the bar manager did a really good deal for us on the price and was really helpful. Would recommend and would book again!

Nice wee bar. Good food for the price but 6.20 for a pint of Guinness? What is this London prices for a so called "capital" 😂😂and I assure you it was not the best Guinness in Belfast. Have one and then move on. But the guy Eoghan behind the bar was great! My guyyy

I don't say this lightly... Pugs does a better Sunday Roast than my Mum. There, I said it! It's a great place with an awesome atmosphere. The staff are fantastic and very attentive. I also don't think that I've ever had a bad meal here, it's a rock solid choice for a good night out 👌

Came in to order some food and drinks and watch the football. Went up at half time to pay and enquired about student discount that was advertised, and was told yes that I could get it after presenting my student id. The server took a good few minutes at the till which I assumed was sorting the discount, but upon paying and seeing the receipt I realised the discount wasn't added. I asked another waiter could it be looked at as I was charged full price. About 15 minutes later I was given cash as the difference, even though I paid by card. I advised that I would prefer a card refund as I don't use cash and I paid for card so the money needs to go back to my card. A man came down who I assume was management and was extremely rude to me, he said they don't do card refunds and that they don't have to give student discount, even though it's clearly advertised. He then said he didn't even see my student card, so I offered to show him and he said no he didn't want to see it. He then said I was getting cash and that's it and walked away. I obviously got the difference of the money which is the main thing, and to be honest I didn't care so much about the money, it was the service of trying to pay, them offering student discount and not knowing how to apply it, and then the rudeness of management. A card transaction should be refunded to the card being paid, any POS system is capable of this, the man just decided that he would be rude for absolutely no reason. Won't be back.

Simple, tasty and inexpensive Ribs, Chicken Wings Buffalo, Self-made Fries, Steaks and Live Music

Cool pop music and nice waitress, but she said there will be no problem of making vegetarian option vegan and then I got the burrito full of cheddar cheese… please don’t force other mothers stolen milk on other when they ask for that…

Ducked in here to get out of the rain, ended up having food and drinks. We shared the deep fried lasagne bites - which were absolutely amazing! Parmesan fries and Mac and cheese were also very tasty. Nice friendly staff, although they were abit short staffed so we had a small wait for drinks initially. Would definitely recommend for food.

Really nice place. Dog friendly. Great atmosphere, lovely selection of drinks. The food was SUPER 🔥🔥🔥. I can't speak anymore. Ordered the chicken barbacoa tacos and the buffalo chicken goujouns. Both are still brining through my soul.

Stopped in for a Sunday roast and we were so happy. I had seen this place on Tiktok with great reviews for their food and we were not disappointed! We both opted for the turkey and ham roast dinner and it was absolutely delicious. Excellent hearty portions and everything was fresh, flavourful, and probably reaches in my top 5 best roast dinners I've had all time. I have to especially compliment the gravy for its richness and generous quantity, as well as the incredible turkey and ham which again was plentiful and so juicy and moist. Great selection with all the trimmings including stuffing, cauliflower cheese, turnip/carrots/cabbage and roasties. Amazing!!! Also it was incredible value.

Bald door man without tats is a psychopath. Ruining the ambience for everyone else because he's giving misery! Boy bye!

Eoghan…… was nothing but spectacular all night long, i also should mention, I met him before i came to the bar and he remembered me, pretty impressive. His customer service is second to none!!! what an asset!!!!

Decent pub close to the centre of Belfast. Didn't eat here but the beer selection was good too.

Food was just barely warm and over salted, but the guys serving us were lovely.

Had a really enjoyable lunch here with some friends. Atmosphere, decor was really cosy. Didn't realise it was dog-friendly, so it was great seeing people come in with their little buddies. Service was excellent, staff were very friendly and helpful. Only criticism was with the food. I'm not a fussy eater, but I ordered a southern fried/spicy chicken dirty fries. Taste was excellent. However, the coating was so hard in places that I couldn't bite it. It meant I had to carefully try each mouthful and remove the hard bits that I found. And there were a lot. I don't know if this was how it was meant to be or a one-off issue. My friends said their food was excellent.

The bar was nearly empty roughly 20 to 30 people 3 bar staff on waited 12 minutes on being served when a couple came in wanting food the bar staff had no problem serving them waited another few minutes and then left so rude 😒

Have had lunch here the last 2 weeks in a row. The staff are all total sweethearts. The food is delicious. Not fancy, not posh, just yummy and ridiculous amounts of it. It's doggo friendly and my wee guy Murphy said is steak was 5 woofs!!! Right in the city centre, its great for parking. They have an astonishing array of spirits and when I asked what they had 0% alcohol (didn't fancy a coke etc) they had a great choice of those too.

Friday evening, live music was excellent. Nice atmosphere. Managed to get a table. Serve Guinness 0.0 from the surge tin things. Great! Toilets are located upstairs and quite a trek away but disabled facilities available on the ground floor, if you can get by the large step at the front door. Didn't get to have food as was in too late and just for drinks but menu looked good. Typical pub grub. It was a chilly night but the bar was a nice temperature.

Music blasting all the time or sports on TV turned up to 11. If it was a more club type bar grand but it's not. If you want to be able to talk to your mates go somewhere else.

Sports bar that needs table reservation as if you don’t reserve they won’t serve you food even if you wait patiently for a table. Bizarre for sports bar food!
