The Parlour Bar in Belfast

Worse pint of harp in the city, manager was rude when asked to replace the pints. For the dearer price of the pint in comps with the rest of the city are not justified

Cold food Came here last night, with a group of friends. My food arrived cold. I apologised to the waiter and sent it back. By the time I got the chips and salt and chilli chicken, everyone at the table of five had nearly finished eating. Very disappointing.

Be prepared to pay extra for sauces I ordered chicken burger £10 I asked for BBQ I was told I’d have to pay £1.50 extra my husband ordered Beef burger £9.50 he asked for mustard again he was told £1.50 extra

We were lucky to get a table on a busy Wednesday night. Enjoyed our wood fire pizza and calzone. Good selection of beers on tap. Situated opposite Mandela Hall in the University Quarter. Pressed metal ceilings and gas lighting a very Irish Hotel would highly recommend to check it out.

Been going to this amazing bar for near 8 years now and again. From open mics to music nights just watching. It’s a great bar and lovely food great atmosphere and u love it when everyone in the bar itself is having a great time. I always have time to meet friends in this terrific bar. I used to eat here quite alot until i was informed thier kitchen doesnt use qualified chefs, kitchen porters are made to do all cooking in an upstairs kitchen (unpaid, of course, only paid for washing dishes). Only ever one chef on duty, typically standing at the pizza oven downstairs with little to do other than oogle at all the young girls. Bit creepy if you ask me. Also, the 'kitchen porter/chef' at the time didnt have a clue what gluten was and couldnt tell me if there was any in any of the food, (direct quote from the very rude irish female head waitress/wannabemanager). Dont leave tips here if ordering food as the kitchen staff dont see a penny of it, all straight into the waiting staff/bar staffs pockets. Personally, I'd rather the kitchen staff got the tips for thier hard work preparing so many meals on minimum wage rather than the rude waiting staff who carry a plate to your table but what can you expect from students

Called as a party of 4, no booking required. I had a bowl of chips. Reasonably priced, great feed! We also shared a garlic bread. Restaurant clean, service quick

Went here after graduation for celebratory drinks. Staff member was so rude. I believe he was actually the manager! Glasses were filthy couldn’t drink water from glass due to smell of beer. Gin glasses cloudy with grime! Glass of Sauvignon blanc that was served was woeful, unable to drink it and when asked the manager to change his reply was I’ll change but you will pay for it and was rudely dismissed! Could not recommend this bar to anyone.

Nice pub/bar in the university quarter, often full of students, with lots of space and a small menu with a bit for everyone (but I recommend the pizzas as they worth a visit). Pretty clean and reasonable prices. Only negative aspects... they advertise as having live music everynight but there was none when we visited the weekend after St Patrick's day. Maybe it was too early in the night, but there was nothing advertised either.

We've been here before and really enjoyed it but we had to leave without ordering on this occasion. It took a few minutes for anyone to acknowledge us (in an empty bar). Then the whole place stank of cigarette smoke, for whatever reason. Had to leave and go elsewhere.

Lavishly furnished and beer garden usual beers untap and cocktail pitchers. They have a wood fire pizza oven that smelt great

I used to go here all the time in my student days so I knew what to expect, but it was so much better! Pizza was amazing, and the wedges. We had to bring a whole pizza home as the portions are very generous. Staff could not do enough for you either. Fantastic

I met a fried on mine in the Parlour last Saturday for a few drinks. There was a five or ten minute wait as it was first come first for the beer garden. Absolutely the right way to do it imho. Some well poured pints of Guinness in the beer garden with polite and speedy service all evening. Well done the Parlour.

Our first outing to a pub after lack down. We were not really sure what to expect but the staff made us very welcome. Seated in an out door area, thankfully weather was dry and warm. So nice to have a poured pint again.
