Great food & service, great live music - what else can you ask for. Will definitely be back again. Reason enoufh to visit Belfast

This is such a wee gem in the heart of Belfast. The people who work there are the salt of the earth, genuinely lovely people. It's got a great atmosphere inside and the cocktails are amazing. It's a very quiet place most of the time but lively enough on a Friday and Saturday night.

Very good pub, very spacious, nice atmosphere on Saturday evening with a DJ who lit up an already very hot room... Compared to other pubs in Belfast, particularly in the Cathedral Quarter, the attendance here seemed much younger to me . If I was around 20 and wanted to flirt, this is where I would come. We tried the wood-fired pizzas and they were honestly very good.

It's a quiet bar in the midst of the Belfast city. Serves good pints. It has an outside seating area which is nice if you get a summery weather

3 weeks later and I’m still here and can’t leave. What a spot! Tried to goto the cinema, was surprised to find it demolished. Jokes on the cinema, I found The Marcus Ward! Can’t recommend it enough for food or drinks. Unfortunately I cut my knee from an accident, I was moon walking on the dance floor. Tony from the pizza oven sorted me with a plaster and a firm shake of the hand to assure I was ok! 5*

Perfect little bar situated at the bottom. Of dublin road, some time quiet which is great. Lovely bar staff and fantastic food supplies by the guys at Fat Sals.... Also dog friendly 10/10

What a fantastic place and what makes it so special for us it's fully dog friendly!!!This was our second visit and once again the food was amazing, seriously guys you need to try it .I would recommend the dragon tongue if you like spice and heat ,and something we thoroughly enjoyed was deep fried lasagne!! I know it sounds weird but it's so so good definitely a new place for us especially because it is dog friendly and a big shout out to the staff they are all so nice and even brought us water and treats for our dog ,can't wait to return, oh and their pizza and wings are amazing also

Great venue for a fancy atmosphere with affordable prices. The food was fantastic a delivered to you in a fashion you wouldn't expect. To save spoiling thar surprise I will only say give it a shot... it's worth it!

I attended the Marcus Ward during a Stag-Do/ rugby world cup final. Once we got there the venue was relatively quiet, the premises was clean and well kept, although however, even though it was practically empty at this point, the service was very slow. Once we'd been shown to our table and ordered our drinks, we waited to about 30 minutes before being asked for what food we wanted. After a further 20 or so minutes, the starters came out (the food was alright, certainly doesn't justify the price). At this point we ordered our mains. And I say with all honesty, it was again a further 30-40 minutes before we got our mains. The food itself, was incredibly vague in it's description on the menu, I did not get what I was expecting, nor did anyone else at the table, it was just far too minimal (again it didnt justify the price). The further the night went on, the more I realised I wouldn't go back to the Marcus Ward. Thanks.

1st visit to Belfast and this bar. We were the only customers in for half hour. Music ok, bar staff friendly. Drinks overpriced, each cocktail £10.50 we had one then left.

If I could give this place less than 1 stars, I would! The bouncers are bloody horrid… Kicking innocent civilians out for absolutely no reason, not even letting you leave the premises! Bloody sodding Rudiccolous!

Outdoor seating, great cocktails, young vibe serves food didn't eat but good menu, central to city young friendly staff it's at the back of the new trade market, close to nandos and wetherspoons. Check it out.

Great gem of a place. Resh woodfired pizza on the spot with a pint for £10 in the centre of Belfast! Large selection of cocktails and 4 beers for £10 before 8pm. Canny whack it.

Food was good but it took an hour to arrive

More for lunches or dinners, not much in t way of snacks and NO tea or coffee at the time we went, bout 1200. Had garlic bread and a drink, lovely bread. Brought a bowl of water for the dog aswell

Wonderful! Ordered two sourdough pizzas and truffle fries and enjoyed our cocktails as we waited. Great music and DJ and would 100% recommend.

Nice staff and drinks, new menu was rather disappointing in comparison to the old. Pizzas looked great so gave them a go anyway and after one slice they were extremely soggy. Looking forward to the menu expansion. Previously would have highly recommended calling in but now wouldnt go for food whilst only operating the new menu

We went here accidently looking for food early on Sunday evening (12 Dec ). To be fair we were told that food had stopped being served as soon as we entered but we stayed for a few drinks. The cocktails were so good and the atmosphere so pleasant we stayed for about 3 hours . The music was nice and chilled with a mixture of local young DJ's on the decks and the staff nothing but helpful and chatty. It was so good we intend to take friends in Feb . For a Sunday night its superb.

Lovely bar- bar staff were so friendly- top class bar couldn’t fault. However, the bouncers were extremely rude, kicked us out without any warning and started harassing us for no reason. Spent at least £100 in the Venue, didn’t expect to be harassed by the staff. Absolutely appalling, will not be back due to the door staff and will be sure to inform others about the unprofessionalism and abuse from the door men. Extremely disappointed as I Used to attend this bar weekly.

We visited on Friday night for drinks upon the recommendation of a friend. The cocktail menu and range of beers and craft ales is very good but unfortunately the service was extremely slow. The first drinks order took a while to arrive (for three cocktails and a beer) and once we had finished with those we waited and waited for the next order to be taken but none of the waiting staff came or even walked by our table for us to get thier attention. It wasn't that busy either, (bar staff even had time to throw bits of lime or something at the passing waiting staff). After a frustrating wait we went to the bar ourselves, paid and left. The mandatory 10% service charge was the final bitter taste upon leaving. We had planned to stay here for the nights drinking but left for somewhere else as I doubt the service would have got any better.

I would literally never normally leave a bad review but over the weekend our experience was so bad. Management are so rude and so are the bouncers. Thought it was a decent bar but I’d never be back.

Nightmare....got served once in 3 hours. Was constantly told by the same staff member that he would be out in 2 mins. He was happy to be forward and back to a table of 16 year olds but not us. When the bill arrived for our party we were massively overcharged for rounds that never arrived. No idea who was incharge. Grim. I planned to have a hangover today, instead im up and fresh because I couldnt get a pint fs.

I'm a regular and the service is amazing. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Toilets are always so clean and provide femine products. Plus the dog customers are amazing 😁

Around 20 of us went for a mates birthday and trying to get a drink was a bloody nightmare. Ordered 4 pints and waited about an hour. Probably would have had to wait longer if I didn’t go up to the bar THREE TIMES to remind them. Then the guy on the bar was quite rude and said yes you’re other friend has already mentioned it. If so then why did I have to go up once again to try and get the drinks. Left early due to not having the best of times. Was lashing outside so we stayed because we didn’t want to all get drenched or we would have left much earlier. 1/5 stars.

In 3 hours I had two drinks. Waited 45 minutes at the end and just gave up and asked for the bill. I get covid and table service has changed things but it needs more staff and a better system

We were there for over 3 hrs and only managed to get served twice! Even getting the bill took far to long, we ended up getting up to leave before finally getting someone's attention. We were told when paying that the servers have no say in who they serve and the system tells them which table to go to... If this is the case I think maybe this needs looked into?

we were judged before even stepping foot on the property by a blonde waitress telling the bearded bouncer to clock us coming in we were then told that the place was booked out considering that there were empty seats available all over the place what a shame won't be back with that attitude was a much better venue as the stiff kitten.

Great pub. Fancy but unpretentious. Great selection of beverages. Can and does show sport. Tunes were belter - they were playing the GTA Vice City soundtrack on loop. Epic.

Upon arrival we were told to sit on one of the benches outside. We waited around 40 minutes before we had to go inside and ask a staff member to take our drinks. After our order was taken we waited for another 30 minutes before having to leave. The place wasn’t overly busy and the staff acted as if we were a nuisance being there in the first place. A group of men in front of us purposely smashed a number of glasses and knocked over a table with around 10 pints on it whilst laughing and the staff/bouncers allowed this to carry on. One of the worst bar experiences I have had.

Booked this with a few friends for my birthday as any other time I've been, it has been a nice atmosphere and a lovely place to drink! For starters theyre a nightmare to get a hold of, if you have any questions or changes to make to your booking, they never answer their phone. When we arrived we sat at our table for over an hour before one of us had to go get a staff member to take our order (even though the staff were walking past us constantly and standing nearby) waited another hour for our food to come and when the pizzas came they were too greasy to eat, they weren't cut, no napkins provided and the wrong toppings. 2 of us had to send full pizzas back because they were falling apart due to grease. We were offered more food but the service and waiting times had been so bad, we had been there for almost 3 hours already and half of us didn't have anything to eat and had only been served 2 drinks. The staff were apologetic and took the pizzas off our bill which was nice of them, but still really unhappy with the experience overall. definitely won't be back here for food

Not a great experience! Booked a table for 5pm and not convinced they were expecting us! 50 minutes for the wine to arrive; apparently the booking system was down but no one tried to take paper orders during this time or explain to customers that there was a problem! Not sure how we get our £12 deposit back either as pay by credit card on an app.

Visited here at the weekend with some friends and found the music volume intolerable. Rather than using the music to create an atmosphere its played at a volume that meant that having a conversation became virtually impossible. The bar was at about 15% capacity and...

Only about 20 people in the bar on Saturday nights, but they insist on playing the (dreadful)music at a deafening volume. Had to leave so prevent further damage to my eardrums. Shame because it seems like a nice bar.
