Great food , only thing is they changed the garlic bread starter was like cheese on toast last time we had it with sun blush tomatoes and was very tasty. Apart from that food is amazing great portions and the staff are really friendly

Myself and daughter called in on off chance 14th Feb. Was welcomed and given a table for 2. Service was great but meal was awful. Garlic bread was pan loaf bread toasted on one side, garlic buttered, never ever experienced garlic bread like this before. Cajun pasta was slimy. Horrible food. To top it all my daughter wasn't allowed to take home her chicken and chips left overs that she had paid for. Begs the question What do you do with leftovers. Such a waste. Always liked kitchen bar but based on this Never Again

The quality of food has picked up considerably ,so much better than a few years back. They have obviously brought in a quality chef

Nos quedamos tan impresionados con la comida y el servicio que volvimos por la noche para la cena! Ambiente encantador, personal encantador y deliciosa comida! Sin duda recomendaría.

"Suggested" Service Charge: They add a suggested Service Charge to your bill (this is not mentioned anywhere on the menu). The waitress brought it to my attention and said it could be removed. I would not have noticed had she not mentioned it, and I would have added an additional 15%-20% tip on top of it. I could easily see how the waitress drawing my attention to it could be innocently overlooked if they were busy. This is not America; stop demanding tips. The food: The main courses were very good. However, the waffle ordered for dessert was awful. It had the texture of a stale cake and couldn't be eaten. I mentioned it to the waitress who said she would say it to the chef. There was no suggestion of removing it from my bill. Overall, the experience was marred by their extortion tactics, and I will never set foot in this place again or recommend it.

Great place to meet and enjoy food and drink. Was there for a festive meal with friends. Food was quality, well prepared Christmas fayre. Excellent service created a great atmosphere from bar staff to restaurant service. Always somewhere to visit when in Belfast centre.

Lunchtime menu looked very promising with a good variety of choices. Bar and Wait staff were first class. Food was ok, Fish was bland, batter a bit thick but chips were smashing along with side salad and mushy peas. Turkey and Ham Christmas Dinner was one slice of turkey, a lump of stuffing and a slice of dodgy looking ham. The creamed spuds, roast spuds and beautiful veg made up for the sad main event.

Visité la cocina como lo hemos hecho tantas veces antes y siempre fue genial, pero cuando llegamos con un cochecito y 3 adultos había un gerente (supongo) señora mayor robusta con el pelo corto que era tan grosero y nos dijo que no nos podemos sentar a comer porque no hay lugar para el cochecito. Finalmente encontramos un lugar para el cochecito (sin ayuda de ella en absoluto) que claramente solo quería que no nos quedáramos. El personal parecía encantador, pero parecían tener miedo de ella y no podían hacer nada sin tener que pasar por ella primero. Tuvimos un bebé y les preguntamos si podían calentar su sopa durante 30 segundos y se negaron a hacerlo. Y es la única sopa que mi pequeño puede tomar. Era tan inútil y grosera y claramente no disfruta de su trabajo. Siempre nos aseguraríamos de visitar aquí cuando esté en Belfast y siempre hemos hablado con amigos sobre aquí, pero ya no.

Gran ambiente, gran servicio y gran comida reconfortante! Siempre parando en el almuerzo en un día de compras en Belfast. Reservable.

Very rude staff, Especially an older woman ruined my children’s night and had to leave as she pestered over a small bit of spilt coke. Very rude and passive aggressive

The portions were very generous and it has a great value for money. The Irish stew was very tasty and I was even craving for more after finishing it. I would definitely recommend this place and will go back there again myself whenever I’m in Belfast.

Came here for food one evening, food was absolutely lovely (had the stew)... atmosphere ok...but downside was the service, took a while to be served and had to call someone over after waiting 20 mins or so, wasn't that busy either... However, staff were polite and the food absolutely gorgeous, would recommend - but be prepared to ask to be served!

Este sería nuestro abrevadero habitual cuando lleguemos a Belfast. Siempre un gran ambiente y había una banda en vivo el sábado por la tarde. Estábamos buscando cenar también, pero hubo una espera de 30 minutos. Después de una segunda ronda de bebidas y en 30 minutos todavía estaban esperando. Le pregunté al camarero que amablemente se registró y se sentó casi inmediatamente como un grupo de 4 no apareció. Los dos tuvimos el bistec y pastel Guinness que era muy bueno. Las verduras estaban ligeramente poco cocidas y eran firmes, pero eran perfectos. . Buena porción de aros de cebolla en el lado. Volveré.

Nice food with ok customer service and decent location. Would I go back? Absolutely not, simply due to the service charge! I know it’s optional but is it really when you put customers first on the spot?? I tip in the majority of establishments purely based on my experience. This puts me off completely..upfront and brass, no thanks.

Llamé para tomar unas copas y decidí que 2 porciones de papas fritas sería una buena idea para un acompañamiento. 2 , llegaron lo que yo llamaría porciones infantiles. £ 9 cobradas por esto. Consigue un agarre barra de cocina. No regresaré.

Went to this place yesterday for a meal 9 adults waitress was so ignorant and arrogant she bluntly told us wait 45 minutes we were willing to wait wouldn't even give us a menu to look at...zero customer service skills definitely would never return.. need to talk to your staff on how to speak to paying customers

Everytime we go to Victoria Square we eat in here but I’ll not eat here again. I think the waitresses are practicing for Halloween because they were like the witches of Eastwick. First they told us it would be 45 mins for a table - looked like there was a few free tables to me but we said we would wait. I then asked could a take a menu to look over while we were waiting and I was told no - then the waitress try to tell me some excuse about the chef being like Gordon Ramsey - not sure what that had to do with me looking at a menu that was easily googled. I’ve eaten in here before and I can assure you the chef is about as far from Gordon Ramsey as you can get. We decided to leave anyway because of their rudeness and won’t be back

Went in for food. Not too busy. Waitresses were not very nice. Very rude. Left for another restaurant. Avoid.

Dined here last night. Shared a nachos, plenty between us. Best ever honey chilli chicken. Huge portion, great value for the money. Relaxed homely vibe. Would highly recommend.

Passing through Belfast? Don't hesitate. The service is very cheerful and pleasant. The cuisine is just as good with a pub atmosphere. Correct prices.

Disappointing after reading other reviews. Tried to book a table for the evening during the afternoon but told no booking allowed. Reserved plaques were seen behind the bar?Restaurant is on two levels.The upper level only half full we we shown to a table in the corner by the door on the lower level. We said we would prefer to sit with everyone else but the waitress stated this was the only table available to us. We ordered drinks and Irish lamb stew. The stew was tasty but contained only a few chunks of lamb. Our drinks arrived when we were just finishing our meal. We waited 15 minutes after completing our meal but no one came to ask us about dessert or any further drinks. We had to find a different server to pay our meal. Not made to feel welcome at all. Was this because we are English?

Tuve que ser la peor comida que he tenido en una casa pública, pedí una cena asada de pavo y jamón y saqué rodajas de pavo de un paquete, sí de un paquete, cortes gruesos de jamón de goma y un poco de puré y una patata asada dura con algunas verduras. Fue un insulto y luego pagó 18 libras por ello. Mantente alejado de este lugar si quieres comida ordinaria decente Mi esposa tenía el sándwich BLT y no era mucho mejor

Food is always excellent and large portions too 😋 Service can be a bit slow but only because it is usually busy. Not always possible to eat in the restaurant part but there's plenty of seating in the bar area. One of the best in Belfast for pub food 👌

Walked in at 12, they had just started serving food. Really nice atmosphere as they have a dedicated seating area further in. Had really good food, all the dishes we ordered were great and exactly what we expected and service was relative quick as well. Recommend the Irish stew which we had never had before but really rich and delicious. The other standout dish was the pulled pork sandwich which was spicy and sweet and had pickled onions. Other dishes we got were the carbonara and the kitchen burger.

Came to this bar last year and still the same smell lingering in the pub and bar. Only way to put it politely is drainage and number.2 smell. we ordered last time because we were outside but didn’t order this time because there was no way i could eat with the smell being inside. shame because the food was nice last time and wanted to come back to sit outside but due to weather we couldn’t. Cannot understand how we’ve came a year later and there’s been no change to the smell. granted the smell is worse when the toilet door is opened but it lingers for a long time once opened and it’s not even the entrance to the toilet, it leads to a corridor!.I overheard overs saying the same thing so i kno it’s not just a one time occurrence.

Staff are friendly.Food was perfectly hot. Veggie burger was tasty. Chicken Curry was basic. Chips slightly under cooked. The Servicer could have been a little more attractive as we needed more water / drinks and may have stayed for dessert if asked.

What a great wee find! We Had never been here before, loved it. The menu was great, tough to choose what to have. The food came quickly despite being busy and was brilliant. Great size portions and very tasty. The staff were lovely and there was a great atmosphere. Would definitely recommend for a casual lunch, will be back!

Chanced on this place on our first day in Belfast. Jenny was the first to serve us and demonstrated excellent knowledge of the beers and superb service. I don't know the names of all the staff but all demonstrated the same high standard of service. The food was great, too. Jerry (sorry if that should be a G) provided excellent service on our last visit, remembering us from a previous one. A busy city centre pub and restaurant that welcomes all, however busy they are, providing a warm welcome and excellent service.

Stopped in the kitchen bar for some food today. Excellent service and excellent food... Highley recommend.

The place and staff were great. Alas the food disappointed due to undercooked chips meat in burgerwas not great. More critically the gents toilets really needed a Deep clean, strong smell of urine, tiles were grubby by the sinks and if you look the chrome strip at the edge of the tiles did not look as if it had ever been cleaned with fluff and dirt on it all. Sorry but disappointed.

Onion rings were too oily, I can't say the meat was perfect, garlic bread was edible, Guinness beer was great

Incredible delicious food!!!!! Very welcoming, kind and professional staff. I had the chicken stack and a raspberry and white chocolate cheesecake for dessert - without a doubt the best cheesecake I’ve ever eaten! Clearly couldn’t wait to take the picture…

Wide menu, generous portions, good food and fast service

We visited the kitchen bar on 22nd May just before a concert and the food was so good! We got chilli chicken and fish and chips and the presentation alone is brilliant and the taste was fantastic! We will defo be back!

It was recommended to me by a local for food and I believe the choice was ideal. A cozy pub serving Irish food with a great atmosphere and attentive service. I really enjoyed the fact that part of the pub is reserved for the restaurant, in fact it was nicely quiet :) I tried the Irish Stew which was amazing! Big portions too! Closing the dinner with Irish coffe, It was great too! Absolutely recommended :)

Went for lunch. Had the chicken burger and fish and chips. Waited a few minutes in the bar as the kitchen hasn't opened yet.

Had lovely chicken fillet burger with chorizo n chips, all washed down with good pints of Heverlee, class. Service was great and the GAA/Soccer were both on the big screens/tvs. Great spot 👌 👏

We were in here the other evening for a quick meal with our 10 month old after a busy day visiting Belfast. The food was beautiful and offering something a little different to your average pub grub. However, the selling point was the angel in disguise who helped us with our son - you know who you are! He was tired and a little grumpy so the lady who worked there chatted to him and pushed him around in his pram till he settled so we could eat. Totally above and beyond her day job, but wow were we grateful! Best service ever - amazing!!

The pan fried hake plate was a mess, the mashed potato was not fresh. The atmosphere was OK and the service was acceptable.

Came here on Wednesday afternoon with a friend and child(with the pram) with no reservations in search for some pub food. We have received a warm welcome from All the staff, once we got seated, we got offered drinks straight away and we have been explained the menu. My friend went for wings and parmesan chips, wee baby went for sausages, mash & chips and I was like a greedy one... I went for larger wings, also some Sirloin( rare) which was served with chips, mushrooms, tomato and peppercorn sauce. Steak was lovely, chips were tasty too. Our whole bill came to £65 for all of us, which I think was fair enough . Definitely will be back again! Thank you!!!

We went there in the valentine’s day for a lunch - the food was delicious but the service wasn’t. Too long to get the order taken, then too long to the drinks been served etc .

Visited at the weekend with my parents and daughter. Portions extremely small and over priced. Kids meal was served with about 10 chips and 2 tiny pieces of chicken. Chicken stack came with 3 tiny pieces of chicken exactly the same a kids meal chicken and was brought with chips instead of mash. Peppered sauce was like water. Sides served in tiny bowls only half full. Still waiting on the vinegar to be brought to the table. Not worth the £70.

Nice pub. But the toilets weren't good.

Guiness is nice and food ok, but whatever you do dont make any noise. You will upset the bar staff! Two years running we have been asked to be quiet while cheering on a rugby game. Absolute nonsence! Will not be back.

The is bar and kitchen was first class. The service and friendliness of the staff and the manager made the food and drink even more enjoyable. We ate and drank here a couple of times and enjoyed a nice whiskey from the manager’s recommendation. I’d say it was well worth a visit as the hospitality was brilliant. Also a big shout out to the barman who served us yesterday as he was a star. A very nice man. We loved Belfast and the people and the bar made it all the more special. We can’t wait to come back.
