Stopped in for dinner and it was wonderful. The apple crumble dessert was fantastic also!

Definitely have the bruschetta! That was a delicious starter and honestly, my favorite part of our meal!

Good food,fast service, friendly staff,not keen on the chairs (no backs for comfort).

Went here after a city bus tour. Was a bit taken back walking in to the place as it appeared very dark. We ordered food and was very surprised by the portion size... superb and drinks were great Good service by several members of the team would highly recommend visiting here for food and drinks

I’ve been coming regularly with a colleague for lunch and am never disappointed! The choices on the menu and execution of the meals is excellent! Highly recommend for solo, groups and families!

Omg. Toilets are disgusting. ! If you can't keep toilets clean what's the kitchen like ??? The place wasn't even busy. Staff just sitting talking and no interest in customers. AVOID.

First time at this venue. We booked a table for 4 people for dinner. Three of us had starters which were nice. One of us had not finished our starter when they came to remove our plates which was fine. Straight away when my friend was still eating their starter the waiter arrived with all of our main courses which we refused because firstly our friend hadn't finished his starter and we had just finished eating ours. Usually you get around 10 to 15 minutes between courses so this is why we were so surprised when our mains arrived so quickly. Our meals were brought back to the kitchen and within minutes were brought back to the table by the manager who wasn't even willing to listen to our explanation and proceeded to set them down in front of us and even putting down my friend's meal while he was still eating his starter. We would eat out regularly and we have never experienced a situation like this before . We found the manager and the waitress to be quite rude and unprofessional and we do not recommend this venue for eating at as we had a really unpleasant experience there.

Another fantastic meal at the Rusty Saddle. They have a lunch time special 2 courses including a soft drink for £19:95 (Monday - Friday). Food was superb as was the service. The pub was very relaxing and unlike some other places we had time to digest our meal & not feel hurried. This was our third time here & we’ll be back again. Highly recommended

Very nice and particular place, you really experience the classic Irish atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and fast. The food was excellent, we had delicious salmon. I would say the prices are average for those seen here in Ireland and the portions are right.

Popped in for a drink and ended up staying for a few hours and had some food. Service was good. Had the soup which was delicious and the chicken Goujons with fries. Worth a visit if in area.

Lovely and very irish pub with live music and good food. We had dinner there. Two delicious steak pies that tasted like homemade. Obviously good beers too.

I would like to bring to your attention a deeply troubling incident involving one of your bouncers, specifically a man with a ginger beard and cap. Last night, he made some extremely offensive comments towards me and my sister that warrant your immediate attention and action. My sister was visiting Belfast and, after enjoying a few drinks at Margot, we decided to go to The Rusty Saddle. Upon our arrival, we sat down outside on a bench to vape before heading inside. A group of lads from Liverpool made some typical flirty banter about our appearance, which we chose to ignore. However, your bouncer then interjected with highly inappropriate remarks, saying things like, "No, too much meat on them" and "Too much cushion for the pushin'." These comments were not only crude but also completely unprovoked. To give you a better understanding of the impact of his words, I'd like to highlight that we were innocently minding our own business, engaged in a private conversation. I am five months postpartum, and like many new mothers, I have been struggling with my mental health and body image. According to studies, approximately 1 in 7 women experience postpartum depression, and many more face significant anxiety and body image issues after childbirth. The insensitive and misogynistic remarks made by your bouncer exacerbated these struggles, turning what was meant to be an enjoyable night out into a distressing ordeal. In a society where mental health awareness is increasingly important, it is shocking and disheartening to encounter such blatant disregard for women's well-being.

Had a great meal here on a rainy Monday evening whilst visiting Belfast on business. The food was really good and portion size - huge! It wasn't the busiest but there was a good atmosphere. Staff were very attentive and friendly, service was excellent. Overall very good value for money. Let's face it it's not a 5 star gourmet restaurant with prices to match but a very good pub with excellent hearty food great staff and of course Guinness!

I didn't eat here, there was a musician playing, which was the reason for the visit. Great selection of whisky!

Great food and beer, and the live music is always top notch.

Horrible… bland taste and disappointment to get fish and chips wrong. Tomato soup was the wrong kind of chunky. Salad should be called sad-lad. Cups were dirty. Waiter attending us was quite nice tho. Fire your chef please :(

Food was pretty decent. Drinks prices is on the high side. The facilities are good. The service was abysmal. Nobody took our order for 20mins and ended up having to ask the bar staff for service. The server plonked down drinks and food abruptly and rudely, a very unpleasant person. Bar staff were friendly.

Food was lovely, very filling. Service was quick, the staff were very attentive. Really lovely venue. They had live music when we were there which added to the atmosphere.

Pig ignorant bar manager who practically spat in my face when asked a simple question. Condescending and spoke over the group I was with when we were simply pointing out a minor thing that could have been dealt with so easily. One member of the bar staff also spoke to us like we were children. This used to be a great venue with a good atmosphere and the past bar manager was friendly and welcoming. Wouldn’t set foot in the place again with a disgusting, aggressive and entitled jumped up little man at the helm.

Excellent quality, great portions, very comfy seats, great service and for sure value for money. Stubbled across the rusty saddle for lunch coming off the glider at May Street City hall this is just along the street. We had the two course lunch menu - 2 course and a soft drink for £19.95. The portions were great and food was so tasty. Would definitely recommend

Great bar for lunch and drinks. My wife and I had great sharing platter and drinks. Great atmosphere. Little overpriced for a pint of soda water and lime at over £5. Other than that very good.

All staff are very friendly and professional. The food is excellent. Nice selection at the bar. The Bruchetta is one of the best I have ever had

We called in for a quick bite this evening and everything was perfect from start to finish food was amazing and staff were even better great attention to detail for a busy pub.

The place itself is really fun and quirky. I loved the decor. The food was delicious and great portions. The only thing was how long we waited to place our food order, we had to wave the waitress over to take it as we had waited so long. Overall, it was fab food and great place.

When arrived in we were approached by a female member of staff . No personality at all . Was told to just sit were you like. There was two tables reserved beside us and she just gave us the menus from those tables. Then just came over hardly spoke . We ordered the steak offer I had to say what way we wanted our steak cooked weren't asked. Then in her words "what wine" we had to go up and ask could we have our wine now as she was pouring the drinks for the table next to us. Food was brought done without a word spoken. I must say the food was lovely . But staff need customer service training . Thursday evening this was.

Saturday afternoon most tables were reserved but we managed to get one. Service was very quick and the food was beautiful. We both had burgers nothing yo fancy, but it was piping hot and lots of it

Well arriving with 4 adults and 2 children ages 4 -17 for lunch ordered drinks and food. I asked was the franks sauce on the wings spicey hot ? To be told u must of had franks sauce before! We got our food which was fine Then went to the bar to order more drinks to be told I could not be sold more drinks as there was children at the table. Then to be told the children would have to leave .(3.30pm) A 4 yr old ! Then to be told we would all have to leave after spending £110 I will not be back or anyone going with children avoid

Went for food which was really good.i had the beef daube which was very tender.veg and gravy were also really nice.price wise it was really good and the staff were very polite and efficient.I gave 4 stars for the atmosphere only because it was a Tuesday night and was fairly quiet.If you are in the area it's definitely worth a visit

7 of us visited for dinner before heading to the opera house ..everyone had nothing but positive reviews of their meals ..lovely portion sizes and fast service. We will definitely be back

First time getting food and it was perfect chefs are really good and the bartenders are so helpful and friendly would highly recommend.

Portion size is not an issue here. Trying to finish it all is impossible. Food was amazing, the only complaint was that we had to leave food as we physically couldn't fit anymore in. The only disappointment I had was that it was new years eve and there was no entertainment booked.

If there was a ZERO on the review it would be too much. I never witnessed anything like the appalling treatment of paying customers in all my life!! My husband and I are in Belfast for our wedding anniversary and decided to go here for our dinner.. biggest regret ever! It was as if we were not welcome here and The waitress practically threw the cutlery on the other side of our table, we ordered wings, (which were tasty..) no bowls of water, no wipes, no nothing. Not as much as a glass of water arrived to our table. We asked one nice waitress dark haired very young lady and she did bring us a glass of water. We were asked “will there be anything else?” Quite rudely but we decided we would order dessert When we ordered desserts the bill arrived on our table before the dessert without us even asking for it.

We went as part of a large group. I wouldn't go back as part of a large group again. The food was ok, The service was ok and the price was ok. It was all just ok.

This «  city centre «  venue , the two managers were rude and dismissive, we came in with two 12 year old boys . We were served our drinks by a very polite bar tender , when we had our drinks we had an extremely agressive rude man approach us to tell us we had to leave as we had children . There were no signs indicating children were not allowed . The bar tender seen the two boys and still served us .As I write this review and we try to finish our drinks both the female and male manager approached us even more agressivily . The then tried to take our drinks off us after paying £15 for them . They were racist as my friend with me she was greek but clearly had racist issues towards Dublin people and foreigners. Avoid this place , such a nasty horrific experience , you can see both managers in the videos ! Avoid this place literally .

When in Belfast like going here good food. but last Sunday having day in Belfast shopping Xmas markets then some food but when we got into your restaurant which we were highly looking forward to we were told our daughter could not dine there as she is 15 years of age was told no children so is the rule adults only restaurant and the time was 440 in the afternoon very very disappointed ☹️ ☹️☹️

Twice a week I enjoyed myself in this lively pub! It is located in the very centre of the city and thus it is very convenient for drinking after work in order to revive oneself with some pints of stout. The staff are sensitive to the needs of customers. In the evening you can enjoy live music as well. A perfectly smooth pint of Guinness and a single Jameson made me warm and relaxed!

Called down with some friends for a NHS Christmas dinner and were turned away for nothing at the door by the dinosaur door staff who as usual like to ruin people's christmas night out. Plenty of good bars in Belfast so I'd recommend not wasting your time with this dump!

This is a fantastic place, the staff are great, the live music is great, nothing to dislike. 1st time in Belfast and will come back again

Very nice food and attention to intolerances. Great atmosphere.

Having called the bar to make a reservation I was told it is just walk ins and there was a 2 hour maximum stay we decided to go to the bar for an early tea. We were eventually greeted by a waitress who just replied no tables. When I offered to queue she said we can't guarantee how long u will be waiting. It could be an hour, after saying that was OK she just said we can't guarantee. It was obvious she didn't want us. I said that table up in the eating area looks nearly finished she replied oh they have been drinking all day. So I said I thought it was a 2 hour max per table.. oh no not if you are drinking. She had the personality of a wet fish.. After deciding no we definitely were not going to eat here with Miss no personality we had a lovely meal in Queens cafe Bar.

A decent spot in town for drinks and food, though if you are eating I'd recommend trying to get a table away from the bar- I noticed people eating while others stood at their elbow waiting for drinks. Could do with 1 or 2 fewer bar stools so people can get to the bar. I didn't eat here on my last visit, but had previously and the food was great.

It was a spur of the moment decision to go to the Rusty Saddle for a meal, and our party of four really enjoyed our visit and our meal. A pub with live music and a great atmosphere. Friendly staff and a reasonably priced menu with plenty of dining options. Recommended

It may have just been a bad evening but unfortunately the drinks (namely, white wine, definitely off, and Guinness, bad keg perhaps) were not as good as I would have expected Because of the layout of barstools, patrons having to reach over us to order at the bar, and when we tried to pass on orders for folks trying to order behind us, told bluntly by the bar staff "just let me do my damn job" I'm not too sure if I'll be back soon, but I hope for a better experience next time if so

This pub/bar remains our fav when going to Belfast. Crackin place & always very well looked after. Well done to you all & a credit to Belfast. See ya all soon. Xx

Loved this pub. First went for a drink, great atmosphere and Kathleen the barmaid was very chatty and helpful. Returned on 2nd day to have food, it was out of this world. I had fish and chips, two friends had salt and chilli chicken and another had peppercorn chicken. All meals were absolutely outstanding and service was once again amazing. Would recommend for food, I wish we’d went on day one so we could have tried different things. Lovely bar.

Hubby and I have been here quite a few times and never been disappointed. Food consistently good and service friendly and quick. Great wee spot if you're up at the Opera House.

Very good food and drink. Haven't been in here for years. Was a great bar back in 70s then went through a series of changes when very poor service and geared only for those in 20s 30s. Glad to say surprisingly good and welcoming with mixed punters.

Didn't have any food, just shared a bottle of wine with my friend, but the plates of food that were being served to others looked amazing. I think the next time I'm in Belfast shopping, I'll be trying out the food..😁
