Great bar for Cocktails, wine and beers. Its a modern design (stylish) with a friendly and restful atmosphere. Plenty of seating with food available.

The atmosphere was nice and the food was really tasty and presentable. However, we had a bad experience with the waitress who was rude and inconsiderate. When the bill came, she forced us to pay her way and was rushing us intentionally to get to other customers because we were "holding the line". We wanted to pay in cash but she insisted one person paying the whole price by card. Her attitude left us extremely disappointed and killed the mood entirely.

Well cooked, well presented and tasty food. Great staff! Went in on a Saturday when Rugby on, no booking but were given a table. Very generous portions of tasty food.

the Irish steak and guinness pie was the worst of the 3 places i tried it in N.I. I think it had been sitting in a roaster or stove pot way too long. the beef just kind of disintegrated in your mouth. not in a good way. just as the pastry top crumbled to dust like material. nearly choking on it while inhaling it during a bite. my wifes meal wasn't much better. nice staff and atmosphere.

All of the menus had the wine pages torn out as apparently they are waiting on the new menus with increased prices. We said we thought it was illegal not to show prices but they didn’t seem to care about that. Our first drink was at the original price but the second drink was £1.50 each more! I will not be back and I would not recommend to anyone…

My adult kid and I stopped in for drinks and food on our first night in Belfast. The location was good, the staff were friendly, and the food was great! We had the ‘Care to Share’ platter so we could try a bit of everything and each item was delicious! I’d highly recommend this dish. Plenty of food for two people. I would go back.

Had lunch here with my brother yesterday. We were both just going for the fish and chips the waitress convinced us to go for the lunch special to save us money. So we got the cheese garlic bread as a starter and it was delicious as was the fish and chips. Would highly recommend to everyone great food and the service was above and beyond.

Food was great. Service great. Value for money, good. I mean, it tasted good.... but £20 for pie and mash would have to be served on a gold plate to be excellent.

The food was the best we had whilst in Belfast. Beautiful comfortable pub with lovely decor and atmosphere. Service was fantastic and the food was absolutely amazing and really decent value for the quality. We had chicken wings each for starters and both had beef for our main and it was all delicious and top quality. 2 starters, 2 mains, 2 beers for €65. Will definitely visit again if we are back in Belfast !

Lovely food and a fantastic atmosphere

We booked this for convenience to my sons place of work-so glad we did! We will definitely be back the next time we are in Belfast. The service was excellent, the staff attentive and efficient and the food was great. Tasty, piping hot and fairly priced. The interior is cosy and the place was busy, but we never felt rushed. Thank you!

Dined here at the Rusty Saddle on Friday 3rd January with my daughter. All the Bar Staff and Waiting staff were very efficient and welcoming. A big friendly shout out to Jack the Manager and Cathy who were tuned in, attentive and pleasant to speak too. Food was tasty and superb, Little waiting time and well presented, lovely unique taste. My daughter had a Ceasar salad and I had the steak Ciabatta really delicious and apple pie with ice cream and custard. Fast drinks service too and great live Belfast Entertainment from the “ Belfast Busker “ John Garrity and Lana-del-rich - amazing If you are visiting Belfast and want a friendly cultural setting come here ! Drinks and food were well priced and reasonable 5 Stars from me ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A great place to discover Belfast's food culture. We tried the Irish stew and it was better than I expected 🤤. The atmosphere is very good and welcoming.

Ate here last night whilst visiting Belfast....best meal I've ever had. I ordered the salt & chilli chicken and my friend had the 10oz steak from the festive menu. Absolutely delicious and huge portions. Would definitely recommend.

Personal de Navidad Sillín oxidado 7 / 12 / 24 Tuve una experiencia muy desagradable en la comida de Navidad de mi personal en el Rusty Saddle el 7 de diciembre de 2024. Le informé a mi servidor que quería pavo y jamón con patatas fritas. (Soy un adulto con DCD que no puede tolerar las texturas de ciertos tipos de alimentos). Me dijeron que esto no era posible y que no podía tener chips. Pedí que tuviera pavo y jamón solo (a pesar de haber pagado £ 40 por mi comida de Navidad). Esta petición fue completamente ignorada. Terminé siendo incapaz de comer nada. Considero que he sido discriminada debido a mi discapacidad. Una simple solicitud de papas fritas en lugar de puré, asados, verduras y salsa habría recorrido un largo camino hasta el restaurante demostrando inclusión a los clientes con discapacidades ocultas. No debería avergonzarme de tener que explicar mi discapacidad (especialmente frente a otros) para justificar una solicitud de comedor modificada. Confío en que solicitudes similares en el futuro serán consideradas más por su personal.

I booked dinner online for a group of six, seven weeks in advance, to accommodate visiting family. When I called to confirm during the week of the reservation, I was told they don’t accept online bookings in 'December.' However, my reservation was for November 30th! To make matters worse, they were fully booked and claimed they couldn’t help because they don’t manage their own online reservation system. Extremely disappointing. Avoid this place—there are far better restaurants with reliable reservation systems and customer service.

1 hora de la calle en Belfast y se recomendó este lugar. No decepcionó nuestro ir cada día y noche. El personal era muy amable y el servicio era excelente. Aparte del valor del trabajo en la puerta que dijo que no se me permitía entrar, ya que tenía joggers en sus ojos, así que fui y los cambié y no tenía ni idea. Así que de todos modos fuera de él la comida era absolutamente excelente. El ambiente era brillante. Pintas de Guinness fue lo mejor que tuve en mi visita. Así que sí, recomendaría una visita.

My Dad and I had a beautiful meal in The Rusty Saddle last night prior to a show in the Grand Opera House. We both ordered the 10oz Steak, chips, pepper sauce, mushrooms, and tomato. We ordered ours cooked medium and it was absolutely perfectly cooked. We received very good, friendly service too and as I was driving, it was nice to see they had a few zero percent beers for me to choose from too!!

Average food but good portions, city centre prices. Older crowd. Nice staff.

One star because there was no where for minus 0 food was disgusting and staff member lady with blond hair had never received training of any type,she was not only extremely rude but totally ignorant ! Definitely will be telling friends and family to avoid like the plague !

Tan pronto como entramos, pudimos ver una mesa de hombres borrachos, uno de ellos puso sus manos en la cabeza de mi sobrina. Me sentí violado de inmediato. Teníamos una mesa encantadora y la música en vivo era genial. La comida era normal. Durante la comida algunos de estos hombres borrachos estaban siendo s baile estúpido. El lugar se vació muy rápido. Después de terminar mi comida, un hombre borracho me puso las manos en la cabeza mientras estaba sentado a la mesa. Estaba absolutamente disgustado de que no lo echaran. Estaba muy enojado porque los guardias de seguridad no hicieron nada en ese momento, pero tiempo después lo escoltaron fuera y los otros lo siguieron. No recomendaría una visita allí. Estábamos celebrando un cumpleaños y esto no es con lo que esperaba lidiar.

Stopped in for dinner and it was wonderful. The apple crumble dessert was fantastic also!

Nunca había escrito una opinión antes, pero se hizo sentir tan desagradable por solo un miembro del personal que sentí que necesito escribir una opinión. La comida era buena, la mayoría del personal era agradable. Camarera rubia alta que parecía que ella corría el piso. La escuché hablar con la mesa de al lado y ella era todo preguntas y charlar con ellos la esposa era de Letonia y el marido de Brasil. Durante la comida le pedí mayo, y fue como si la ofendiera. Más tarde pedí la cuenta, señora, la tiré sobre la mesa, no nos preguntó ni dijo nada, puse la máquina de cartas sobre la mesa y no abrió la boca. Tan grosero, en mi opinión después de haberla visto con los otros clientes, la única diferencia era de dónde éramos y nuestro acento! Tan decepcionante en esta época. A juzgar por otras reseñas que he visto aquí, no suena como que la gerencia tomará ninguna acción.

Went here after a city bus tour. Was a bit taken back walking in to the place as it appeared very dark. We ordered food and was very surprised by the portion size... superb and drinks were great Good service by several members of the team would highly recommend visiting here for food and drinks

I’ve been coming regularly with a colleague for lunch and am never disappointed! The choices on the menu and execution of the meals is excellent! Highly recommend for solo, groups and families!

Omg. Toilets are disgusting. ! If you can't keep toilets clean what's the kitchen like ??? The place wasn't even busy. Staff just sitting talking and no interest in customers. AVOID.

Had the Daube of beef , was beautifully cooked

First time at this venue. We booked a table for 4 people for dinner. Three of us had starters which were nice. One of us had not finished our starter when they came to remove our plates which was fine. Straight away when my friend was still eating their starter the waiter arrived with all of our main courses which we refused because firstly our friend hadn't finished his starter and we had just finished eating ours. Usually you get around 10 to 15 minutes between courses so this is why we were so surprised when our mains arrived so quickly. Our meals were brought back to the kitchen and within minutes were brought back to the table by the manager who wasn't even willing to listen to our explanation and proceeded to set them down in front of us and even putting down my friend's meal while he was still eating his starter. We would eat out regularly and we have never experienced a situation like this before . We found the manager and the waitress to be quite rude and unprofessional and we do not recommend this venue for eating at as we had a really unpleasant experience there.

Another fantastic meal at the Rusty Saddle. They have a lunch time special 2 courses including a soft drink for £19:95 (Monday - Friday). Food was superb as was the service. The pub was very relaxing and unlike some other places we had time to digest our meal & not feel hurried. This was our third time here & we’ll be back again. Highly recommended

Popped in for a drink and ended up staying for a few hours and had some food. Service was good. Had the soup which was delicious and the chicken Goujons with fries. Worth a visit if in area.

Very nice and particular place, you really experience the classic Irish atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and fast. The food was excellent, we had delicious salmon. I would say the prices are average for those seen here in Ireland and the portions are right.

Called in for drinks only very nice bar was midweek visit for us and not that busy expect it to be a lot busier at weekends seems a lively bar

I would like to bring to your attention a deeply troubling incident involving one of your bouncers, specifically a man with a ginger beard and cap. Last night, he made some extremely offensive comments towards me and my sister that warrant your immediate attention and action. My sister was visiting Belfast and, after enjoying a few drinks at Margot, we decided to go to The Rusty Saddle. Upon our arrival, we sat down outside on a bench to vape before heading inside. A group of lads from Liverpool made some typical flirty banter about our appearance, which we chose to ignore. However, your bouncer then interjected with highly inappropriate remarks, saying things like, "No, too much meat on them" and "Too much cushion for the pushin'." These comments were not only crude but also completely unprovoked. To give you a better understanding of the impact of his words, I'd like to highlight that we were innocently minding our own business, engaged in a private conversation. I am five months postpartum, and like many new mothers, I have been struggling with my mental health and body image. According to studies, approximately 1 in 7 women experience postpartum depression, and many more face significant anxiety and body image issues after childbirth. The insensitive and misogynistic remarks made by your bouncer exacerbated these struggles, turning what was meant to be an enjoyable night out into a distressing ordeal. In a society where mental health awareness is increasingly important, it is shocking and disheartening to encounter such blatant disregard for women's well-being.

Had a great meal here on a rainy Monday evening whilst visiting Belfast on business. The food was really good and portion size - huge! It wasn't the busiest but there was a good atmosphere. Staff were very attentive and friendly, service was excellent. Overall very good value for money. Let's face it it's not a 5 star gourmet restaurant with prices to match but a very good pub with excellent hearty food great staff and of course Guinness!

I didn't eat here, there was a musician playing, which was the reason for the visit. Great selection of whisky!

Horrible… bland taste and disappointment to get fish and chips wrong. Tomato soup was the wrong kind of chunky. Salad should be called sad-lad. Cups were dirty. Waiter attending us was quite nice tho. Fire your chef please :(
