Eglantine bar in Belfast

Muy decepcionado.Íbamos al Teatro Lírico por 7. 30 pm y pensé que esto sería útil. ¡También pensé que reviviríamos algunos de nuestros recuerdos de nuestros días de estudiante mientras estudiamos en Queens! ! El menú sonaba bien. También nos sorprendió gratamente las ofertas de bebidas.Llegamos poco después de las 6 de la tarde y, aparte de una pareja sentada en el bar, éramos la única mesa ocupada, 7 de nosotros en total. Pedimos nuestras comidas a las 6. 20 pm, 4 hamburguesas, 2 papas fritas y una lasaña. Por 6. 50 pm nuestra comida todavía no había sido servida, así que llamé al barman. Se disculpó y explicó que estaban teniendo problemas en la cocina y que tendríamos que esperar más para nuestras comidas. Le expliqué nuestra necesidad de ser atendidos rápidamente. Aparte de las hamburguesas, las otras comidas llegaron unos minutos más tarde. ¡Las hamburguesas llegaron justo después de las 7! ! Estaban secos sin absolutamente ningún aderezo, a pesar de que me dijeron que habría queso y tocino, etc. Me quejé, pero no tuvimos tiempo para una alternativa, así que tuvimos que comer lo que nos sirvieron. ¡Las patatas fritas también estaban frías! ! Nos ofrecieron cobrarnos la mitad del precio por 2 de las hamburguesas. Nuevamente no tuvimos tiempo para discutir o negociar nada diferente. Ya estábamos llegando tarde al teatro. ¡Solo tuvimos que pagar y correr! ! Cuando revisamos la factura de camino al teatro, nos dimos cuenta de que nos habían cobrado de más por TODAS las bebidas. Ninguna de las ofertas se aplicaron: el 1 para todas las bebidas al pedir un plato principal y el 24/7, es decir, 2. 47 para el vino sobre el que había preguntado expresamente. En lugar de comprar dos hamburguesas a mitad de precio, habíamos pagado las probabilidades. Comida extremadamente decepcionante, servicio lento e inaceptable y estafado con "ofertas especiales" como se anuncia en todo el bar y en los menús. ¡Come aquí si te atreves! ! !

He estado aquí unas cuantas veces. La comida es razonable pero esta vez no tuve la oportunidad de probarla.Fui a un miembro del personal para pedir un menú. Tardó unos segundos en verme mientras giraba la cabeza hacia arriba, mirando el balón de fútbol en la pantalla. Conseguí mi menú y luego esperé durante 10 minutos. Miré y él estaba parado allí otra vez mirando el partido. No volveré

Siempre disfruté las noches en Eglantine y los días allí también. La comida era estupenda. . . El servicio también fue excelente y un ambiente agradable. Desafortunadamente, han incrementado el precio de la cerveza en 60 p, lo que es un poco loco. Además, la música, incluso durante el día, nunca es lo que querría el demográfico (lo sé de hecho). Espero que presten atención a su demografía y no a la cultura pop.

Nicht nur für Studenten ein super Anlaufpunkt .Ambiente eher spartanisch und dunkel, Barmann sehr jung, aber kompetent und nett. Preise unschlagbar günstig, und Montag's Live Musik. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und würden gerne wieder kommen.

My friends and I are frequently in Eglantine bar...we never have anything bad to say. Theres always a comfortable seating area for us..reasonably priced drinks, nice staff and next to no waiting time for drinks. On top of that they serve nice food and have pool and other games for entertainment

Gegenüber unseres Hotels war es ein Katzensprung hier unser abendliches Guinness zu trinken. Die Bar war sehr leer und somit hatten wir die uneingeschränkte Aufmerksamkeit der netten Bedienung.

Early St Patrick's Day drinks and lunch. Very friendly staff who were apologetic when there was a mix-up with our food orders and straight away brought us over free drinks on the house. Great atmosphere and reasonably priced.

Un bar restaurant chaleureux, avec différentes salles, une décoration très sympa et un personnel attachant. Pour tous et pour toutes!

This was our last stop of our Belfast bar crawl so it included dinner. The food was fresh, tasty and reasonably priced. The service was efficient and friendly. Would go back again if we are in town.

I had fish and chips. Not the greatest, but the Guinness was ok. Vegetarian meals were excellent. Noisy, but expect that near Queens.

Llamamos para té ya estaba cerca de la salida del hotel. El personal era encantador y no podía hacer lo suficiente para nosotros. Pedimos comida y cuando llegó era lo suficiente para alimentar a 4 de nosotros no 2 y era bastante buena, caliente y fresco. Sin duda volveremos aquí si yo estaba en la zona de nuevo.

Este lugar es excelente! Fuimos en un gran grupo y el personal fue muy servicial.

Hemos venido aquí todo el tiempo y los cócteles son absolutamente increíbles, saben mejor que algunos que he tenido por el doble de precio. Las ofertas de cócteles siempre vale la pena probarlo y he probado todos y no hemos tenido una mala! El servicio también es genial, nada es una molestia y siempre amable. He probado un montón de cosas del menú, la sopa siempre ha sido encantador y la goujons y hamburguesas también son muy sabrosas. El ambiente es genial y está tan relajado que nos encanta!

El Eg es un lugar fantástico para una ronda de descanso de cócteles cuando no te gusta ir a un club nocturno. Los cócteles son absolutamente de primera clase y el personal del bar es extremadamente amable y llevar camisas frescas hawaiana. Este mes de julio me lo regresen a las reinas son para comenzar mi Doctorado - este lugar va a ser mi nuevo abrevadero.

Tuvimos una cena y unos pocos guinness aquí. 4. 40 una pinta pero 3. 30 Durante juego. Ordenados en 85 minutos, pero sirven en 92 minutos. . . . 4. intentaron hacer. 40 por lo cual era incierto y pinta irrazonable. Segundo camarero se unió a la conversación y evidentemente mintieron para apoyar a su colega wee deshonesto. . . No categoría triste. Visitar belfast sin duda evitar este bar como servicio es tan pobre como yo he experimentado. Cenamos de antemano. . . . . No acumular negocios. . Quizás el sentido común no es tan común! .

La noche abierto mic está ace! También, cerca de la zona de estudiantes y viajes de infraestructura, muchos taxis y comida de venta. Zona genial.

El cóctel bramble aquí es una de las más sabrosas bebidas que he probado!

We had a quick visit to the 'Eg' recently in a city break to Belfast. We had yet to try the infamous Guinness so chose here. The bartender was so friendly and asked to change the barrels to make sure we got a good pint. They were then delivered to our seats with a smile. While chatting at the bar he also recommended his cocktails and we succumbed. They were very tasty and good value. The bar was quiet when we were there but the staff were attentive and kind. Would recommend and would go back again next time in Belfast.

We popped in for a quick bite around 2pm in the afternoon and received the best service of all the places we visited in Belfast. Both chaps were attentive and good natured; even popping to the shop in record time to get some English mustard for us when they had run out. Quirky place, great service, prices very reasonable :-)

Called in for after dinner drinks. Very dark inside with loud music. Good staff and brilliant cocktails at just £4.50 before 11.00!!!

This Pub has been around forever 'the egg' ever evolving and updating in order to be in touch and relevant. Great pub with good atmosphere and really good grub. Good sports coverage, designated smoking area, enclosed outdoor drinking and eating available.

I come here every other week. The cocktails are great and the service is excellent. I've only had food here once but it was pretty good. The drink specials are great as well. Half price cocktails are well worth the visit.

Another well frequented and buzzing spot. The "Egg" has lots of students, get down early if you want a table. Had to wait a while to get a drink!! Have screens to watch sports.

Used this bar to avoid hotel food and was very impressed. They had a good menu which we all enjoyed, plus deals on cocktails. The cocktails were great, mixed properly and a good variety, On a Saturday night the bar was quite quiet thought steady, a good alternative to the very loud Botanic Inn over the road.

Great bar for watching the footy. Staff are friendly and good selection of beers. Some decent bar food.

Visited the Eglantine bar a couple of times. Always a very friendly staff. some good beers and wines to choose from. Very tasty bites as well!

Called in at the weekend to watch Norn Iron in the Euro's. Had reserved seating in the comfy seats, large screens with good beer and food. Had the wings, El Jefe sandwich and fries. Substantial and reasonably priced. Enjoyed my visit and service was good.Place is very busy at weekends and a 'local' for the Uni. Not fine dining and not a place to enjoy a quiet night but for a pint and some grub.... not bad.

Pub moderno con ambiente rilassato. Se non è molto affollato per una cena con la famiglia è perfetto. Personale gentilissimo, buon cibo e bella atmosfera

I was staying in the Wellington across the road, and having eaten in the other places around this area I thought id give this one a go as well. I went in and it didn't seem to busy, I got a table ok and ordered the 3 small plates for £10, consisting of Pouteen, Chicken wings, the pouteen was some of the finest iv had, the wings were ok pretty average, the only problem was the place was very loud, there was some football match on, and I must say I m pretty sure iv been to football matches that have been quitter, I don't think I would go back.

Booked here for a meal on a Thursday night. When we arrived nobody greeted us at the door so we had to make our way up to the bar and told them we had booked a table for two. They told us our table was not ready yet and would be another minute even tho we had booked two hours before and nobody else was in eating food. We ordered a drink and after 15 minutes we were shown our table. It was dirty and for only two people we were placed at a large table seating 8 people. I decided I didn't want to eat here after the appalling service and the cleanliness I didn't want to spend my night here. I went down and told the bar man I wouldn't be eating here but I would still take my drink since he already had one half made. Half an hour later he presented us with two cocktails which costed 14 pound!! Complete rip off and they tasted disgusting! We left our cocktails with one sip out of them and walked out! Clear to see they didn't care. Definitely won't be back. My boyfriend and I both work in restaurants/bars and if any of us gave that service we would have been sacked on the spot! Very disappointed. A Thursday evening ruined

My parents live in Belfast but, not being local, it can be hard to find somewhere for drinks that isn't too studenty or intimidating.The Eglantine was welcoming and offered a great selection of drinks. Tasty beers and cocktails made with a huge amount of care and attention. Went on a midweek evening and there was a good atmosphere but not too loud to sit and chat. Totally recommend!!

They used to sell 6 shots for £6 here which was an absolute star when you were walking from Elms to the Union on a Monday night - the toilet break while you were here was fab too! The 6 shots were cactus jacks kind of shots but for that price you couldn't complain! Apart from that, the Eg does really awesome burgers. I've ate here a few times for lunch and been impressed every time. At night they also used to hold a monthly quiz about a certain topic (The Walking Dead, 2015, Lord of the Rings etc) which was awesome. You had the chance to win £300 or something + runners up got food/drink vouchers and they sold raffle tickets for a chance to win the £300 by picking a box on the screen. I believe this place also had a buckfast bar at one point...Overall it's a nice place for some lunch or a few drinks - stay away from karaoke night though... there's always some really bad singers there!

Called in here for a few drinks last weekend. The decor has greatly changed since my days as a student. Friendly bar staff who recommended a lovely gin fizz cocktail. So good I had to have a second one. Pretty quiet for a weekend in the run up to Xmas, but I guess most people go out in the city centre these days.

The bar is nicely laid out and the staff are friendly however the food was very poor. The fish in the fish and chips was very very over cooked and the burgers were partly cold. The muscles were also cold when they arrived. This could have just been a bad night for the kitchen and I imagine they can do better but onthis occasion this was not the case.

My word this bar is great. It was once a predominantly student bar with cheap and cheerful offerings for the penny pinching academics but now it's so much more. Yes the shot ladder is still there and yes it still serves £5 student lunches but now it also has one of the most comprehensive drinks selection that I have seen in the city and their handcrafted cocktails are awfully good. That's not to mention quality of the food offering with my personal favourite being the "Bloody Mary Barboca". If you haven't been then you simply must go!

Great bar, very modern and popular with people of all ages, great music and sport is shown. The food is excellent and has a modern edge to it. If you're in the area it's worth a visit
