Super ambience. Service is a tad slow, but that's the norm for such high-quality cocktails..

Went in near lunchtime over Christmas and were told to sit wherever and we'd be brought a menu so we sat at the end of the bar. We were sitting at the bar for probably 5 minutes without anyone asking if we wanted a menu or drink. Eventually I had to go over to a table to take a menu. We then sat at the bar with the menu waiting for someone to take our order for another 10 minutes or so while other people were getting served. We were about to walk out as we had reservations at AMPM when eventually I was able to wave someone down behind the bar. Bear in mind, the place wasn't that busy when we got in, and staff were standing around chatting while we waited at the other end of the bar. There was no politeness from the staff whatsoever or apologies for the delay. The drinks we got were OK.

Went for a few drinks yesterday and the atmosphere was brilliant. The service was fantastic, table service for drinks was unexpected but so good as didn’t have to stand at the bar. The young blonde hair girl just kept the orders coming, she would need a pay raise as at no time did she stop working. Cleaning shelves, cleaning tables, taken drink orders… she just didn’t stop. Everyone there just seemed to know what they were doing. Definitely be back. Definitely be back very soon. First time customer. Not the last.

Popped in for a cocktail post shopping with my girlfriends. Equally can be a very intimate place.

Basement location with penthouse delivery. Recently had a Christmas dinner at Margot with almost 20 people. The ambiance and vibe was great and the music was great, particularly if you’re in the 30-40 bracket. Service was friendly and attentive with staff taking orders from the table on multiple occasions, which was great as the bar was busy. Food was lovely. I had prawn cocktail, really nice but could have done with a larger portion. Daube of beef was delightful. I didn’t have dessert however others did and feedback was good however the Eton mess was too sloppy so may need tweaking. Overall, a must visit for at least a drink and the staff will take care of you!

Worth going for the French Martinis alone. The staff were exceptionally good , especially the security guys who were great with advice and recommendations

Booked in to Margot yesterday 9/11/24 at 2 o'clock for bottomless brunch. First impression was stunning place, not to busy, really nice ambiance, unfortunately such a let down. Got seated and were told how the bottomless brunch works. Been to a few bottomless brunches in and around belfast so know how they work, finish your drink before you get it replenished etc etc. Anyways two hours of bottomless drinks sounds great to kick off the day, well that's if you ever get served. Left feeling absolutely deflated having only had 3 yes 3 Prosecco each. The service was absolutely shocking, you literally could not get a drink even if you went to the bar yourself and only 2 members of staff waiting. A friend travelled from Dublin to join us mid bottomless brunch and ordered a gin and tonic which took 35 minutes to arrive, mean while my friend had to share her glass of Prosecco with me. You literally could not see past the bar for the amount of dirty glasses and plates scattered on the bar counter. Food nothing to write home about had a better McDonalds. So there we were 3 of us sitting at a BOTTLELESS BRUNCH with not a glass of alcohol between us. Unbelievable. Ask for the bill and to top it off the bill arrived at 99 pound, considering it's 35 pound per person for bottomless brunch, doesn't take a genius to work out the bill should be 70 pound plus one gin and tonic added to that.🤦🏼‍♀️ So query the bill , got that sorted then they can't take the payment as the WiFi goes down . I'm actually laughing at this stage, still trying to make payment to then be told can yous move as we need the table. 😂 So guys if you are looking a good BOTTOMLESS BRUNCH may I recommend THE PERCH in Belfast literally around the corner from Margot, you will never have an empty glass and the pizza is so good. So Margot is a big fat NO from us.

La primera impresión fue un lugar impresionante, no muy ocupado, un ambiente muy agradable, por desgracia, tal decepción. Me senté y me dijeron cómo funciona el brunch sin fondo. He estado en algunos brunch sin fondo en Belfast y sus alrededores, así que sepa cómo funcionan, termine su bebida antes de que se reponga, etc, etc. De todos modos dos horas de bebidas sin fondo suena genial para empezar el día, bueno eso es si alguna vez te sirven. Izquierda sintiéndose absolutamente desinflado habiendo tenido solo 3 sí 3 Prosecco cada uno. El servicio fue absolutamente impactante, literalmente no podías tomar una copa incluso si ibas al bar tú mismo y solo 2 miembros del personal esperando. Una amiga viajó desde Dublín para reunirse con nosotros en medio del brunch sin fondo y pidió un gin tonic que tardó 35 minutos en llegar, mientras que mi amiga tuvo que compartir su copa de Prosecco conmigo. Literalmente, no podías ver más allá de la barra por la cantidad de vasos y platos sucios esparcidos en el mostrador de la barra. La comida nada que escribir en casa tenía un mejor McDonalds. Así que estábamos 3 de nosotros sentados en un BRUNCH SIN BOTELLA sin un vaso de alcohol entre nosotros. Increíble. Pida la cuenta y para colmo la cuenta llegó a 99 libras, teniendo en cuenta que es 35 libras por persona para el brunch sin fondo, no se necesita un genio para trabajar la cuenta debe ser de 70 libras más un gin tonic añadido a eso. 🤦🏼‍♀️ Así que consulta la factura, arreglado eso entonces no pueden tomar el pago como el WiFi se cae. Tuvimos una noche de chicas aquí el viernes por la noche, optamos por compartir unos platos para probar todo, y cada plato era delicioso y cada uno mejor que el siguiente! ¡Lo habría comido dos veces! ¡La margarita de coco fue increíble! ¡Es el tipo de bebida por la que querrás volver! El personal era otra gran ventaja. Fueron atentos, amables y no podrían haber sido más serviciales, lo que nos hace sentir realmente bienvenidos. ¡Pregunta por Caroline que es una loca! (Y puedes decirle que la canción se llama Roses, de las chicas de Waterford) ☺️ Si estás en Belfast y buscas un lugar con comida increíble, bebidas fantásticas y un servicio de primera categoría. Muy recomendable!

We went to a drag brunch on Saturday. The drag show itself was excellent . Sadly the service was not. We were seated and the guy left and took other people's orders and ignored us until a girl came over almost 15 minutes later and took our orders. Then the food came out. 2 orders were cold and one was lukewarm. No one came to our table for drinks orders so we had to go to the bar each time (even though we were told to wait at the table). When ordering, the staff member who originally showed us to our seats, was behind the bar. He sighed and you would of thought we were asking for one of his kidneys. We ordered drinks at the bar each time as our table seemed to be ignored. We would of left but we had paid for tickets for the drag show. It was amazing and really improved the atmosphere. Sadly we won't be back as we were made to feel like an inconvenience not paying customers.

Very aggressive bouncer, we questioned the bill and were attacked, two 60 year chilled guys having a fun night out abused by a bouncer who escalated everything we said and did his best to make us lower ourselves to his level. It’s sad to see a bouncer trying to provoke aggression whilst we were trying to deescalate the situation, I hope the management review the cctv..

Absolutely amazing cocktails on the Halloween special menu! Best I have ever had honestly - that poisoned apple 🥹 cannot thank everyone enough for the amazing service even when we left late for another booking we accidentally walked out of our paying ( my genuine sincere apologies - such a force of habit w/ paying at the bar <3 ) they sorted it out with no problems and I cannot thank them enough again <3 will be back as soon as we can!! <3

Had some brilliant cocktails but also great choice of beers and spirits...brilliant atmosphere and vibe in there so would highly recommend...book a table to get a seat as gets very busy

Table service was such a bonus as standing at the bar waiting for 2 unhappy looking blokes behind the bar to finish off cocktail orders wasn't nice at all. Not even as much as an acknowledgement from them

Adorable night-capper where tourists are welcome. The food is great (really, superb for a an up-scale bar) and the drinks were lovely. A good find, for sure.

Qué horror. Paquete ABBA Brunch. £ 45 por cabeza. Brunch era muy pobre. Pequeñas porciones y huevo escalfado frío congelado. Aguacate suave. No hay chutney o copos de chile como se describe en el menú. Los cócteles anunciados no estaban disponibles. El gerente rechazó una alternativa. Bebidas en factura que no eran nuestras. Gerente muy antipático. Definitivamente no volveré.

Had the misfortune to visit on Saturday during what appeared to be a Hen Party themed afternoon. Mostly well behaved apart from one group which made more noise than a 747 landing - the endless screeching, "Yeoooow" calling, and - one person in particular - the truly offensive levels of foul language and "banter" made for a very unpleasant experience. The bar staff were either deaf or unwilling to ask for a semblance of order to be restored and the raucousness continued - we moved outside and it was still plainly audible from the pavement. A salutary lesson on why Door Staff is required even during the afternoon and especially when Hen parties are booked in.

Fantastic spot, the staff are second to none every single person who works there will stop and chat and is great craic. Had a blast there, must do and fantastic cocktails obviously.

Great selection of spirits, beers and wines but I go here for their cocktails. Nice twists on classics or interesting in house creations. The staff are super friendly despite being over ran during the busiest times. Highly recommended.

Came here by myself today to pass the time and a few drinks only to be met with one of the most welcoming (Both in staff and in overall atmosphere) Bars in all of Belfast. Tucked away down a little stairway, the dim lighting and smell of high quality food and booze filled my nostrils and it didn't disappoint when I made it to the counter and ordered my drinks. Staff were very lovely and took my order despite a HUGE wedding order ahead of me and every time I came to the bar they were happy to help and very friendly, even chatting while they made my drinks. Speaking of which: Cocktails are a MUST here. I had a whiskey sour and to say it blew me away is an understatement. Anyone visiting the city hall or Belfast as a whole should visit here. Good prices, drinks, and I imagine the food (I didn't actually get a bite to eat) is just as good. Will surely come again, next time with company!

Pasando y se detuvo solo para tomar una copa. El servicio fue rápido. Decidió tomar dos cócteles solamente y fueron agradables y dieron en el lugar.

Reservamos una mesa en línea para COMIDAS & BEBIDAS, llegamos a 4 personas en el lugar para que nos digan que la cocina está cerrada y podemos ir a otro lugar. Les dijimos que reservamos para comida y bebidas, pero no les importó, así que tuvieron que buscar otro lugar para comer, afortunadamente Belfast no estaba ocupado de lo contrario nos habríamos quedado completamente atrapados. No es un buen servicio en absoluto y muy oscuro por dentro.

Amazing little (slightly hidden) gem, beautifully laid out and lovely staff. Wonderful for cocktails and food, worth the visit. Big improvement from the long ago basement bar.

It is a lovely cozy bar with great service and fabulous cocktails. Don't be put off by the limited offerings in the cocktail menu. When we asked, they made the cocktails we wanted.

Tara and Jamie were so helpful giving us tips about the cocktails with such friendly and quick service they made our night ♥️♥️

Favorite Cocktail bar in Belfast ! Great atmosphere, excellent servers, and a deadly cocktail lineup. Currently working my way through their Birthstone led menu. Favorite so far is the Citrine,great Whisky based drink. Will be back again through the next few months to complete the menu.

Absolutely rate this place for brunch. Really generous with the drinks, we were given a jug of cocktail and a bottle of Prosecco so really got good value.

We had a great morning at Margot’s! The bottomless drink was flowing very easily. Staff were friendly and fun. The singers brought so much energy to the room. The food was delicious but maybe a little small.

Really good actually. The basement thing lends to the experience. Great service, great cocktails, we were there on a Thursday evening, so the place wasn't very busy, so just the 4 stars because the atmosphere wasn't all that, but I imagine Fri/Sat nights would be great.

Called in to Margot on the recommendation of a friend and it didn't disappoint.The decor is really cool and there was a lovely chilled atmosphere.The staff were really attentive and we enjoyed some delicious cocktails.Will certainly be returning.😀

We usually like here but only want to pay once for the bill! They do have a tab system here and I cleared it at the bar well before leaving (in fact we had more drinks after and paid for them). On leaving a bill (which was paid) was produced….guess the rest of the conversation. I think I’ll pay as I go next time

Not enough staff for a Saturday night , booked a table for dinner, all good got table on time and food was good . But ordered more drinks after dinner, gave up waiting as guessed by time drinks arrived my hour would be up and I'd be kicked of the table to make room for more. So left and went elsewhere for more drinks 🍷

We came to drink a cocktail and I had a special cocktail for only Wednesday called Cool Mum, was really delicious and beautiful. If you want to drink cocktails in Belfast, I recommend you to come here🩵

We booked dinner for 745pm. Prior to the day I got an email asking to confirm if for food or just drinks. I tried calling, twice, with no answer. I emailed and confirmed it was dinner. I received confirmation email from a team member by the name of Jamie, saying this was ok. When we arrived we were told the kitchen was closing at 745pm (on a Saturday night). Not the waitresses fault but to the management/communication team, this needs improvement. Also, your website is not the best to navigate. Food and drink nice. We were also told to vacate by 10pm for another booking even though there were ample tables available (the table next to us had the same seat numbers). Wouldn’t rush back.

Beautiful and quiet bar that I would highly recommend you go to whether you're traveling or live in Belfast. Especially if you're into the more chill bar scene.

If you’re talking about cocktail bars in Belfast this is a must. Fabulous service, fantastic drinks and a real comfortable bar to sit in. The staff are so friendly and knowledgable, able to recommend me a lovely drink when I didn’t know what I wanted (Annoying I know). Would highly recommend.

I have never written a bad review as I believe talking to a manager first , as we have done that and basically was told a story that he’s been told to tell, but New Years Eve boking a month ago , confirmed booking 24 hours ago , drove 80+ miles to say chef not working, but we have a table! Thank you seriously good communication folks!

Lovely cosy basement bar, fantastic cocktails, can get very busy to hard to get a seat but with live music etc on a night out it's still worth a stop

We have been turned away 3 times in as many weeks recently. Staff were rude and unapologetic. First time we arrived one minute to twelve, we were told to leave as they weren’t open yet( they open at 12!), rather than say “please take a seat, we’ll serve once bar is open”. Second time, they apparently had a private function on and weren’t serving until 4pm, they serve d the couple who came behind us, they weren’t part of the private function! Third time we stood and stood and waited to be served, sorry we weren’t turned away, we actually left, never to return!!!! Try Whites Tavern……. Excellent service and food and really made to feel welcome!!!!

£10 meal express fantastic value, all 5 of us loved the food, atmosphere. Service..Recommend.. we will be back.

Cant really offer a review other than tried for a week to book a table, repeatedly told to email their bookings address, now one week later and no response. Have called only to be told there is nothing the staff can do and SOMEONE will get back to me, still waiting. I'm sure the food, service and atmosphere is wonderful shame ill never know..............

Plenty of other bars, lounges and pubs to go to, avoid this spot and give them no business, especially if you're a minority. Came here during a vacation to Belfast and I tried getting drinks from the bar and was told to take a seat at a table and that they would serve me. After half an hour, that never happened so I got up and got my own drink. This is where is gets bad- I wanted to try another drink since I was visiting and got up from the assigned table I was at. I specifically told a bartender & server that I'd like to order another drink but want to use the restroom first, please save my table. Once I came back from the restroom, they had just seated 3 people at my table, to which I didn't think much of. The bartender that was making my drink said I'll bring it to your table and I told him that your server just seated some people at my table while I went to the restroom. The bartender said to tell the server to get my table back otherwise I don't get my drink, which seemed a bit weird. I explained the situation to the server per the bartender's request and asked the server to get my table back. The server told me to ask the patrons that were at my table to move (felt weird but I just wanted to try one more cocktail). I went to the patrons, briefly explained what happened and asked if I can get my seat back, to which the patrons loudly replied to me with some profanity and "to go back to where I came from you Sand (N-word)". The patrons, server & bartender had a laugh after that was said and then I looked at them at asked " ya'll don't find that insulting, that's pretty messed up and prejudice" to which the server replied, "they're regulars so it's ok". At that point, I figured I wasn't going to get my last drink and figured it was best to leave, So I asked for my bill and to close out, and they charged me for 2 drinks, the one I had and the one I was hoping to order, which ended up going to the regulars. I told the server that I only had one drink and this second drink needs to be removed as it got sent to someone else. The server told me that the people that had my drink were "regulars" and I replied, that's fine but I don't know them at all, why couldn't you just directly give me my drink so that this whole confusion could have been avoided. This was followed up with a comment from the server, "cheap @$$" and the updated bill. I paid for my bill and being from USA, I even left a small tip for the first drink and just as I was about to leave, the patrons yelled sand n-word to me again and the bartender + server had another laugh..... I just walked out since I was not looking to pick a fight on foreign soil. I know this is not representative of Belfast since I had a great time there but this bar deserves no business from anyone, especially minorities as they're supportive of racists. I even tried to get in contact with management via voicemail and even stated what I was wearing so that they could review what happened on their cameras but to no response. I even sent emails and tried additional methods of communication and again, nothing but mere silence or generic emails followed by ghosting. Either way, to all tourists, especially those that are minorities that are brown/dark skinned, please do not support this bar, they're racist and they won't be shy about attacking you if you're not one of them.

Judged me in the middle of the day after travelling a few hundred kilometres because I was wearing tracksuit bottoms..I was more then respectable and don’t condone this type of judgement of character…very disappointing

Tried to go in on a Saturday night at 9.30pm and was asked if we had a booking. We didn't. They said they had no room. A couple out the front said the seat beside them was free so we tried to sit there and the bouncer again told us it was booked. There was another free seat down the way too. Found them rude with no reason. Ten Square were lovely though and we got a perfect reception from their bar staff

Had to order my drinks personally at the bar 🍸 🙄. Once I was asked did I want a drink at my table. First I was told I couldn't be here as I was in track bottoms even know I was wearing trousers. Then I was severed. All and all staff only look after a certain clay and tell.which is upper class people 👏 🙄 🤔 👍 wouldn't be back and never tried food so can't comment on it overall 2 stats

Great Barstaff lovely cocktails

Margot comes across as a dive bar and fully delivers. From over priced drinks to a grubby dark atmosphere this bar is exceptional at what it does. The smell of urine surrounded the bar today (19/08/23) and the dark toilets are just dark enough to entice you to do your business elsewhere. Handsoap for both sinks was watered down soap which had been watered down again. What an experience to never have to experience it again!

Adding a service charge to a medicore £13.50 cocktail is absolute insanity. Not sure if the barman decided to add it of his own volition but I'll certainly not be back if every cocktail ends up being £14.85

Love the atmosphere Underground lights with good chill jazz bass music. Food is average, I didn't really liked the bourbon pulled beef pizza because there is a sweet sauce, probably from the caramelized onions that takes over all the flavor. There isn't enough beef as well. Halloumi is dry and not that good. Miso Steak is fine, it was well cooked inside but a little too burnt outside. The onion ring was dry as well. The prices for the pizzas are surprisingly cheap.

Nice little chill bar tucked away in the city centre. Impressive selection of cocktails and friendly staff. Fast service. Whilst there were a few non alcoholic cocktails only one non alcoholic beer. Wish there were a few more for the drivers!

The cocktails were very sweet and the service was very slow. We waited a long time to get the cocktails as well as the bill.

Stopped by for a quick solo late lunch and unexpectedly had the best eggs Benedict in a while. Brilliant taste and presentation, the eggs were perfectly poached, the hollandaise was light and full of flavour. Had a gin enjoying the sun and people watching on their outside tables. Part of me wished I could sit in as well as the interior is very nice, maybe better for an evening meal/drink though. Would definitely recomment, excellent price per value ratio

First visit, not often eating in Belfast enjoyed good service and general ambience of the place.

Came here on a Friday night and was hit with a wall of delicious blast of live music, fast service and some of the best Old Fashioned’s I’ve had in a long time. Lady Margot, I’ll certainly be back.

Had such a lovely evening here last week. Gorgeous interior (we were able to have one of the cosy booth tables), wonderful food, yummy cocktails and five star service! The lady who served us was a star, (I think her name was Aoife?), nothing too much trouble for her, talked us through the food menu and looked after us all evening. Will definitely be back! :)

Attended a corporate lunch here recently. Salted chilli squid had no salt or chilli flavouring whatsoever, just regular batter. Bland and arrived at the table cold. Sides didn’t get served until we highlighted they were missing. Drinks order was incorrect. Very disappointing experience.

The ambience is good - service isn’t bad. I wasn’t overly impressed by the food and taste and a few of our group also had the same experience though we had ordered different dishes.

Enjoyed zodiac cocktails and lovely meal. Friendly staff added to relaxed atmosphere. Will be back!

Nice and quiet on a Sunday afternoon. Good for a few socials. Only issue is you're directed away from the bar and to the sofas. Just my personal preference is I dislike table service. But that's just me. Great spot though.
