Frankie & Benny's Boucher Place in Belfast

Food sat on pass for ages, didn't bring sides out until we were nearly finished mains (at this point I told them I didn't want them).....Food is not great and completely overpriced! Waste of money!

Called in last night there was no server at the counter so we stood awhile with a baby & and the staff from the kitchen just stood watching us stand like idiots not one staff member could come seat us we walked out went too Eddie rockets instead disgrace won't be back.

My mom and i were there today for lunch. The waiter did not listen to our order at all as I had asked for the double bacon cheese burger with no lettuce or mayo and with sweet potato fries. My burger came down with lettuce and mayo in it and normal fries. My mom ordered loaded hot lava fries which was not as described was just normal fries (not chilli seasoned) with some red onions and spring onions and no cheese sauce which we had to ask for and they put the smallest amount on. found the waiter had put it in as vegan fries. The food was not nice at all that we ended up not finishing it, just paid and left. I will not be back here any time soon. Wish we had gone to mcdonald's instead as food would have been nicer and cheaper.

Poor food and poor service. No ribs and no burgers available and wasn’t told until I tried to order the ribs. Long wait for food and it wasn’t busy on a Sunday afternoon. I ended up opting for the salmon with mash. The sauce was congealed and the mash inedible and had obviously been made beforehand and reheated. When we went to pay the server was on her phone during the transaction. Avoid.

Out for a birthday lunch. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Food was delicious. Would highly recommend to anyone. Xx

Only one member of staff looking after the entire "restaurant ", food cold, took forever to serve.

Went here for breakfast yesterday and lady server was so so rude. Rolled her eyes and let out a big sigh while waiting for our order. Didn’t get our orders right but instead blamed us, the customers. A friend at our table was about ready to confront her while another one was ready to walk out.

Having arrived at 1400 hrs on Wednesday, February 14th, 2024 we waited almost 40 minutes to have one chicken burger and one cheese burger, with fries delivered to our table. We had noticed both meals sitting on the serving counter for approx 10 minutes. When the food did come it was cold and really of no higher standard than McDonalds. We rejected both plates immediately. Sadly, there wasn't even an apology. Having said that, the food was replaced and was hot. I approached the checkout expecting at this stage an apology and a discount, maybe even the cost of the jug of diluting orange at £3.60 being deducted. But no, neither was forthcoming. At a total cost of £27.50 for a breast of chicken in a small bap garnished with a few shreds of lettuce and a small burger and bit of melted cheese in a bap, served with a few frozen fries it has to be the most expensive McDonalds in the country. Maybre I'm asking too much or my expectations were falsely set high, but my first visit will be my last.

Shocking burgers. Where to start. They are small. The burger pate was nearly inevitable and the weird amount of lettuce on it and barely anything else despite it being a cheese. Makes me queasy thinking of it.

This is a nice restaurant with a nice menu. The decor is lovely and when we got there it was quiet. Gradually the restaurant filled up - and got busier. The food was nice and arrived as described. The service was slow - and the server apologised for this. We only had a wrap and a burger nothing fancy.

Food was good as always. Our server was fine but another waitress wasn't as friendly.

Will not be back food wasnt up to standard manager came over and was very rude and questioning me what happened to customer service i felt very uncomfortable so paid and left she took burger off bill but it wasnt plesent speaking to manager wont be back,the young lady who served us was very pleasent thats about it !

Food was okay, the members of staff we had serving us were a bit dry and didn't seem very welcoming. Food order came out wrong, and with missing items. We were charged £6.80 for a bit of plain pasta on the side for our 2 year old as that's mainly all she will eat, staff were a bit rude when we questioned it. They finally reduced it down to £4 after having to speak to the manager. But still seemed a ridiculous price for what it was.

Absolutely gorgeous food and friendly staff

The lady who looked after us, I'm not sure if she was the manager, was fantastic especially when we expressed my daughters list of intolerant ingredients! My daughter ordered a vegan pizza but the lady wouldn't let her have it as there was too much sugar in the tomato sauce and she would not have been happy for my daughter to eat it also she couldn't guarantee if there was or wasn't any cross contamination between ingredients! Poor daughter had chips but the rest of the families meals were great 😀

Nice place, reasonably priced food and frequently topped up chilled drinks. The staff were pleasant and attentive.

Nice setting but food is mediocre. I ordered the pasta and meatballs for myself and pasta bolognaise for my 2 yo daughter off the kids menu. Both dishes were exactly the same only mine had 2 tiny meet balls on top. Not impressed.

They also operate under STACKS on ubereats - dear god avoid because it is the most inedible burger I've ever had the displeasure of paying for.

Food was great but they had no license for alcohol which was a shame Good value for money

It would have been rave reviews all over, but unfortunately the food, both mains and dessert were cold. Shame. Staff great though.

Went for my birthday lunch. Food was lovely, no complaints about that. No chat, no happy birthday, order taken and that’s all the communication. sat in a booth at the back which was nice and roomy for the 3 of us. I wouldn’t be rushing back if at all. Should have read reviews before hand.

Had a gorgeous mac and cheese, could not recommend more! Stephen was so polite and friendly, Sharon made the evening! Best night in awhile.

Had dinner in the Boucher road restaurant, the meal was beautiful but what made the night was our service. Rhia looked after us all evening and was very welcoming and is a credit to the restaurant. She definitely deserves a pay rise.

Hotdogs and chips were good. Mojito was tasteless. None came back over to us so we didn't get to order desserts

My servers Rhia were the best in the world. have eaten here loads but felt compelled to leave a review this time because the service from everyone was amazing. refreshing to know theres still quality restraunts in this s**t town

Nice place inside the Victoria square's shopping center. You can sit and relax. Their Godfather cocktail was really good.

First of the the lady in reception was not friendly. We ordered Beef lasagne and cheese burger. Lasagne was full of tomato purée. The burger was dry and no taste at all. They didn’t even put some burger sauce in that. Never go again there

Went here with fiancé to celebrate our anniversary of being together, sat down eventually; no one came and asked us for drinks until our actual order was taken which is a odd experience compared to the Victoria square counterpart which is our go to restaurant when out shopping in town. Took our order and at the end I said “that will be all thanks” to which Connor responded “is that all?” …yeah mate just said that lol anyways food was okay I think the VS one is of better quality but it was good enough, maybe a bit pricey for the portion size. We were ready to go to the counter to pay and were even already leaving our booth bags packed etc when Connor came around to take away our dishes to ask if we wanted dessert which I think was a silly question as we were both standing up, big anyways as we were told we were getting a bill we sat back down and paid in cash; as my fiancé handed the cash over he simply snatched it not even acknowledging the amount we could have handed more or handed less and he’d never know and said thanks have a good day and never returned with change, in fairness it was small amount of change nothing we really cared about long term but we were never asked about leaving a tip or would we like the change he simply took the cash and went about the business and kept the spare as a tip, it felt v rude and felt like “you have paid, f your change, get out!”, I’ve worked in hospitality before so understand he’s maybe new or nervous etc and I do try to be extra nice and compassionate towards servers but it was a v odd moment which had us baffled; which we will stick to the VS version which has friendlier and faster staff

No complaints here, Staff are very friendly & helpful. Great selection of Vegetarian, vegan and traditional food. Restaurant is clean and well maintained. Two main courses with tea £36. Located at Boucher cres Belfast pop in after a good day shopping. You won't be disappointed 👍five Stars

Great wee place for breakfast. Fry's are really good, service was spot on, and was fab sitting in their outside area in the sun

Me and my mum went for food and it absolutely gorgeous staff are amazing we were well looked after we will definitely be back girl called siobhan served us she was so well mannered drinks and food and staff we’re definitely a five star:)

Went for dinner for my sons birthday. From we arrive until we left Fiona couldn't of been any more helpful. My son is a fussy eater so trying to order from restaurants can be tricky, but Fiona was patient and helpful with his order. She then brought his desert down with a candle in it with Happy birthday playing in the background. Thanks again. Will definitely be back

Stopped for a quick snack and enjoyed the food and the service was great

Very disappointed, after being seated for 10 minutes our orders were taken only to be told the pasta boiler was broken and pasta was off the menu why could we not have been told this when being seated. This is the 2nd time we have had bad experience at a F&B establishment. We really didn't find anything else suitable on the menu so had to leave.

Wonderful atmosphere, fast service from the waitress we had, not too crowded and absolutely wonderful food. definitely would eat here again.

Great food and service dinner experience

Not the best, I must say. It looked like the food was just dumped on the plate. The pizza was good. Hiwever, the quantity was just not sufficient and the price is also on the higher side. The only good thing was that the staff was friendly. But I probably wouldn't visit here again.

Always a favourite of my daughter's, so go quite regularly. Went yesterday and ordered our usual Spaghetti Bolognese, to find it was totally different, and also a much smaller portion. Dessert was smaller too? Is this a new chef? Very disappointed.

Had a dodgy stomach after eating here. Table felt cramped and service wasn't great. Won't be back. ..

Had the meat lasagne supposedly mamas homemade - more like reheated from a week ago! Bad stomach the next day. Mu brother had bbq chicken and that was OK. Super friendly attentive staff and a nice restaurant!

Ate in here today and never again..food was tasteless..I had chicken with bacon and melted cheese with bbq sauce..they must have ran out of cheese and sauce as it could hardly be seen..onion rings tasted of frying oil..my husbands dish was tasteless as well.will never be back

This an excellent place for food at very reasonable prices. It's a shame they have reduced their salad options, but the Njuda sausage option certainly packs some spice.

Really bad! My husband, my son and I ate here this evening. We got ribs with sweet potato fries, chicken with chips and kids chicken with broccoli and mash. The ribs were fine, the sweet potato chips were ridiculously burnt. The kids broccoli was so undercooked that my son couldn't bite into it, his mash potatoes had been microwaved for too long and had crust on the top. The server was very friendly and chatty. Although we got an apology when we told her the food wasn't good and explained the problems we had, an apology was all we received. We still paid extra for the burnt, inedible sweet potato fries and still paid full price for the kids meal that my son didn't take one bite of. Really disappointing to say the least. Avoid at all costs.

Good, fast service. Food was super bland, meatballs dry and flavourless. I've had nicer microwavable bolonese from spar. Eatable but bland, therefore overpriced. If it weren't for the fact we hadn't eaten in hours and were starving, would have left. Disappointing as Lisburn one is lovely.

Very helpful servers and great lunchtime meal. 3 courses for £14.50.

Portions where terrible my pizza was exactly the same size as my 6 year old sons yet mine cost £3 more some of the food was soo bland my 3 year old daughter even refused to eat it and all she eats is pasta and cheese won't be back unfortunately.

We went here recently when out doing some shopping. Frankie and Bennys is a place we have previously ate it numerous times over the years. I've always loved the Itialian theme, the music and decor and the food has never disappointed until this visit. The menu was seriously reduced in terms of the variety of food available to order. The food arrived surprisingly quick but it soon became apparent why. It was the most basic (most likely) frozen burger and my wife's pizza was mediocre at best. The bill came to £36 and to be honest we'd have been safer just going to McDonalds. Very disappointing. Won't be in a hurry back.

It took a few minutes before we were approached to be seated but thankfully once we were service improved. Food was delicious and we left very full and happy.

Had previous bad experience here but due to all other bar/restaurant options being booked out due to time of year & Christmas market etc, gave it second chance as was young daughters birthday and she wanted a treat for lunch. Girl greeting customers was friendly and helpful, but from there the experience was a disgrace. Once seated, order was taken and after 10 mins was informed there were no more wraps available, so child had to reorder - which we did. Then, few mins later the adults food arrives - a pizza which was thinner than the menu itself and of very poor quality for the price paid. I noted all pizzas being delivered to tables were exactly the same thickness and quality and can't help think they are pre frozen and simply heated up. Would explain the quality of the food. The amended child order arrived about 25 mins later, when the adults had already finished their meal. By this stage she had grown tired of waiting and the food was of awful quality. Needless to say she barely are it and we just wanted to leave. No staff apologised for the delay, fact it wasnt put as urgent bearing in mind the original delay due to running out of ingredients etc. Throughout the experience of around an hour and 15 the staff were running around in chaos, even arguing amongst themsevles and the ordering system in full view along with kitchen showed just how disorganised they actually are. I asked for the bill - for girl to say she'd bring it to my table. She passed the table at least 15-20 times delivering food, taking new orders and as befitting of this place having sat and given her ample chance to get back to me had to ask her AGAIN 15 mins later can I have the bill asap, and as per her reaction, she'd actually forgotten to go and get it leaving me sat unattended. I can accept a restaurant being busy but more importantly the quality of the food here is of absolutely horrible standard on both visits, appearing to be pre-packed or frozen and reheated only. The service isnt far behind and needless to say, its last time i'll ever set foot in this or any other Frankie & Benny's. You've been warned!

Unfortunately, I'm giving this a low score due to food & the feeling of being rushed to finish up. My 13 y.o took me out for a birthday dinner, he ordered lasagne and had to pay for the chips separately. The portion was smaller than other places we've been to. My double bacon cheeseburger was dry and lacked seasoning. The bacon was bordering on black. He got a chocolate brownie cake. It was the thinnest wedge I've ever seen. The server said it was the last piece. 1 small scoop of ice cream with it. Although my Newyork cheesecake was delicious, it was also small. It's gonna take a lot for me to go back there. I had higher expectations of this establishment. Bill was £52, and went home feeling disappointed. Happy birthday me!!

Staff were lovely but food was so basic kids pizza was barely any topping on and I got a burger I’ve had nicer out of a burger van.

The atmosphere and food is just superb and a great place to dine in. I'm just a bit disappointed with the service that was provided. Only 1 or 2 staff were running around for taking orders and there was a huge delay in service even for just getting cutlery. We had 2 coupons from 3 (Three) providers and it was clearly written that more than 1 coupon is accepted at each table and when we enquired about it, the manager just denied us and told us only 1 coupon could be used because it's been a long time since the offer has been running and it's going to stop soon. This happened in Oct and expiry is only by Nov. A bit disappointing since we had gone with one of our friends who was new here.

Had an absolutely amazing lunch. Food was so tasty, came really quick and all piping hot. The staff are attentive and so nice. It was the second time going for some of our party and they suggested it as a great place to eat out on a Sunday in Belfast.
