My family had lunch today at the hop. Customer service was excellent, Troy served us and also cooked our lunch. Food was really good, I have to say the burger was the best I have had, really well cooked. We will definitely come again when we are in Blackpool.

Well laid out Pub with pleasant staff. Good meal choice and can recommend the steak. Good range of beers especially the craft lagers.

The Hop is a disappointing pub north of Blackpool city centre. While the pub itself is lovely and spacious, my visit was ruined by an incompetent, indifferent bar man who not only couldn't work the till but also drew my pint incorrectly. That [picture] was not nearly a pint. Since the real ale collection itself was underwhelming, too, I left after just that one near-pint and went back to the *much* superior The Brew Room, which is just a 3-minute walk away - who make their own beer, at moderate prices, have nicer, more knowledgeable service and serve really well-made food. Not recommended even for Blackpool!

We had been at the winter gardens and want to get food close by, we stumbled upon this place and wow what a lovely place, Barman/chef was very helpful and food was amazing. I had the tai curry which for £6 would rival a tia restaurant it was the best I’ve tasted We loved this place and would highly recommend it

I went to this pub because I wanted to watch a football match on BT Sports. The landlord and staff could not have been more obliging. A nice friendly pub with friendly customers. Highly recommended.

It was very quiet when we popped in - the barman was very friendly though and spoke to us about spirit offers. The toilets were grubby - had lots of mosquitoes in - the lock didn’t work either. Advertised lots of music so I’m sure there would be more atmosphere in an evening rather than a Friday afternoon when we went.

Went in on a Friday night only about 10 in miserable barman ghastly marylyn manson type ‘music’ which got turned up, in complementary lighting and cold atmosphere the only good thing was pint of lager. The hop is now owned and run by Blackpool council which explains the couldn’t care attitude and feel of the place! A real shame as being a successful licencee myself this place could do a lot better with someone running it with some passion and vision.

Visited for a few drinks with friends, lack of popular draught brands had me spending £4 on bottled cider as the fruit cider on draught tastes like nasty cough syrup. We ordered food, one friend was told they didnt have what he ordered so given the closest thing on the menu, 2nd got his order but was missing things listed in the menu(again, out of stock) and the food was almost inedible. The burger was so overcooked it resembled rigid cardboard as it was snapped in 2, the bun was a burnt crumbly mess which was mostly left. I waited for my order 15mins after my friends food arrived before it being announced that the kitchen was closed. When i enquired i was informed the bar person hadnt passed my order to the chef. When the food arrived it wasnt worth the wait and the apology was minimal at best. We arent a group that likes to complain and i dont think we will be going back anytime soon.

Visited on a Saturday afternoon. Kids running riot everywhere. Funny smell, and it wasn’t pleasant. Has nice lights and 2 dart boards, that’s about all I have got.

Most pubs in Blackpool offer live Sky sports and when matches are on the pubs get packed and The Hop is no exception. I prefer the pub when no matches are on as you can chat with the locals as well as tourists.

traditional pub with a good selection of beers ---big screen sports for all the football---always plenty in so the atmosphere is great.

the food here is by far the worst in Blackpool, absolutely revolting just like the rest of this area and town. do yourself a favour and head down the coast to Lytham .

Cerca de Blackpool North Station. Sólo tienes que ir esta tarifa para encontrar un pub ese no tocar música alta y hacer que el cante karaoke todas las noches.

Went for breakfast twice and drinks on and off as we were stopping just around the corner. Food took an age to come out and was mildly warm. Nice though - just cold. Drinks cheap. Service hit & miss at the bar. Some really dodgy smelly people queuing to get in at 0800. But we were in at 0800 as well so not judging at all. It's a Wetherspoons. Some better than others. This is one of the not better ones.

Staff were so friendly, we came about 1pm and it was really quiet so got a seat and ordered straight away. Shared a full rotisserie chicken between two adults with some extra potatoes and gravy, a bit more expensive than two meals from burger king but worth it imo. The wait for food was about 10-15 minutes so not bad at all. Chicken was juicy and the gravy was very tasty - wish the portion of gravy was bigger but we did try to share one between two of us. Great find if you don’t want to eat a burger and chips like most other places at the park!

One of the worst food experiences in Blackpool. They charged me £15.50 for a small, burnt burger on an oversized, stale bun. It was that dry the bun fell apart like clay. I also got wings but they were burnt to the bone too. Demanded my money back and the rude bar man didn’t even argue because he looked at the food and agreed it didn’t look edible. Never eat at this place
