Pequeño lugar, el personal muy amable, aunque despejando y no limpiando la mesa perdió un punto. . . bebidas muy buenas, precio razonable y servicio rápido, comida encantadora y un gran lugar para relajarse, charlar y observar a la gente con música de fondo decente que no era demasiado intrusiva. . . sin duda recomendaría y con ganas de intentar de nuevo en un cálido día de verano junto al río

Mi novio y yo visitamos el hooch un viernes por la tarde antes de ir al mercado de Navidad, y debo decir que era precioso, cálido y acogedor con hermosas luces centelleantes También una gran vista del muelle y una maravillosa hospitalidad Tomé un chocolate caliente con baileys y vaya que gran regalo de invierno. Y mi novio pidió un café con Jamesons y si te gusta una bebida fuerte esto sería perfecto para ti! Sin duda recomiendo

Un punto de agrietamiento para la gente que mira con un ambiente brillante. Gran agradecimiento al miembro del personal de hoy que atendió una petición especial que podrían haber rechazado, pero en cambio fueron cálidos y acogedores - y la comprensión de las circunstancias. Sabes quién eres. Muchas gracias por salvar el día.

Bonito lugar para un café o una bebida. Pedidos bocados ligeros muy bien presentados pero de muy mala calidad Pannis estamos sobre cocinados tan duro que no se podía morder o cortar. El gerente lo culpó al tipo de pan en lugar de mirar cuán cocido estaba y sin comer. No se ofrecieron disculpas en su lugar se me proporcionó en un tono sarcástico. . : disfrutar del resto de su día.

Mi marido y yo nos ENCANTA este bar que visitamos mucho Newcastle, ya que como nuestra hija está en la universidad y nuestro hijo ahora vive en el noreste, hemos pasado por el bar tan meny veces y estaba demasiado ocupado para conseguir un asiento cuando finalmente fuimos en las bebidas de música todo fue brillante.

A lovely bar but lacks atmosphere it is like a morgue everyone so miserable won't be back. Staff are quite miserable to. Told not till enjoy ourselves as manager would get angry.

We came upon this place walking along the quayside whilst looking for a cafe. My flat white coffee with oat milk was very good. This place is quite cosy and comfortable with nice views if you are by the window. The only negative for me was the very loud music which wasn't really suitable for 3pm on a weekday when customers are trying to have a chat.

Called in when passing. Very glad we did. Always try to support independent bars and this did not disappoint. If you want ambience, good music and pleasant staff this is the place for you. It’s also spotlessly clean. We loved it.

Fabulous place! Visited for drinks after dinner at Six. Great vibe, awesome music and fabulous drinks. A real find. So much so … we’re back tomorrow!

Beautiful bar that doesn't seem to follow the style and format of most of the generic bars around town. Nice and chilled with a fabulous soundtrack whether it is live Dj's or background music, it just adds to the ambience of the place and to top it off the staff are attentive and courteous to the extreme. Fabulous cocktails and great wine and chessboard offers throughout the day. If you are looking to an alternative to the hustle and bustle of most bars in the town, this is the place for you. Highly recommended and I look forward to my return.

Returned to Newcastle for a lovely walk along quayside and visited an old haunt coffee shop which has changed a lot since last visit.....and a lovely transformation. A very different and pleasant coffee shop, bar and snack experience. As coffee connoisseurs this was very good as well as snacks....can highly recommend ham & cheese croissant..scrumptious. Good for snacks/ light lunch. We went in the morning but guess evenings with a nice new bar would also be nice. Small intimate atmosphere and in a great location with views of the Tyne & Sage. Staff were also nice and quality upgrade of toilets since last visit.

Been here a lot recently - coffee and croissants in the morning; wine and cheese in the evening; cocktails and small plates tonight on NYE. Always a warm welcome, good food and efficient service. Fab views of the quayside at all times.

Called into The Hooch en route to meet some friends one Saturday in May but ended up staying all night, messaging my friends to come along and settle there for the evening as the music was so good! Staff were unbeatable in their level of service and friendliness with amazing food to boot. Shouts must go to DJ Dan and his accomplice who played such a brilliant variety of music all night, ranging from old Jamaican Rocksteady to soulful House without any of it being too loud or inappropriate for the surroundings. Looking forward to catching him again soon and trying the Haggis and Pakoras which I'm hearing so much about!

Had lunch here. Great food and very friendly service. It’s located on the waterfront opposite Sage Gateshead and is a great place to people watch if you can get a window table.

Came here whilst working on the quey side for a tea and brownie and wow were the brownies good! Had to come back for more later in the day! The place was also very clean and the staff were really nice!

Just found my new favourite place, lovely staff, small and cosy yet airy, bright and immaculately clean, fab cocktails and range of rums and great music, what’s not to love. Will definitely be back and must try the food.

Friendly bar Nice cocktails 🍹, friendly staff , great views . The music let’s it down a bit but I will visit again soon and perhaps try the food menu.

We had a really wonderful time at The Hooch last night. Isaac was so attention and really made us laugh a lot! Thank you for your fantastic hospitality and the lovely drinks. Next time we are in Newcastle we’ll be sure to pay a visit!

My wife and I popped in to the Hooch during a recent visit to the Quayside and were very glad we did. In a great location with views over the Tyne and the Millenium Bridge the Hooch is welcoming and friendly with a funky vibe....

We popped in here by chance on a Saturday night the food was brilliant value for money snd the Greek salad was delicious. The cheeseboard was huge and the mixed pakora a nice change! The staff were lovely- would definitely recommend

A very enjoyable visit here in the late afternoon for a drink and a snack, which was well presented and of high quality. Service was friendly and efficient and we had a great view of the river and the Millennium Bridge.

Looks attractive from the outside and is obviously a reguluar stop off for locals, snacks eat in or takeaways. Clean with friendly staff and the food was good quality.
