The food was service was very good. The restaurant had a very nice atmosphere. My only suggestion would be if the offered dips to go with the pizzas.

Best pizza in London. Never disappoints. We order to pick up and it’s always friendly & speedy service. Favourites are Vegetariana and Capricciosa.

Been a few times this my last review and is still the best pizza . Personally I don't think Pizza "travels" that well. Get yourself down to Mr Honest and taste it fresh out the wood fired oven MINUTES after order. No I'm not a shareholder. It's simply the most reliable and consistently great food place in the area.

An unexpected and very pleasant surprise. Great service, delicious food. Taste of our pizzas and shared Antipasta was unbelievable .Everything freshly cooked and the best pizza we have ever had. Huge portions too! Will definitely return soon and recommend to friends & family.

Best pizza I'm eaten anywhere in London. Service usually takes a minute (sometimes less) since the kitchen and eating area are open plan... .. and they have a roaring wood fired oven.

This really is the best pizza in South London. Light, thin, crispy crusts (no Franco Manco stodge here!), authentic flavours, polite and friendly staff (and a clean toilet). I had the Napolitana with a side salad, and it was superb. My dining companion had the house pizza, the Honest Italian, with the most amazing prawns ever. Highly recommended, either as take out, Deliveroo or eat in. Eat in is best, though. This was our fourth visit and we shall definitely be making a fifth and a sixth visit.

This restaurant appears to mainly serve the home delivery market and as such has just a few tables. Clearly very popular with locals and we could see why as the food was absolutely delicious. 3 of our group had fab pizza's and I had aubergine parmigiana which was very tasty.

Had the most delicious rocket pizza from this hidden gem pizza restaurant in Balham, generous amount of fresh ingredients ...the chocolate fudge cake is now my fav guilty pleasure and my fav pizza in Balham

Perhaps we can blame Covid? Not busy at all, but pizzas still excellent, though service rushed and brusque! Mentioned it was a birthday dinner, but no response. And in the 'old' days, a complimentary Limoncello after dinner (which a nearby Italian restaurant still does) - no Limoncello, so an orange substitute - and GBP4 each!! A tad steep, we thought. So shall wander over for takeaway, at this stage.

I ordered a mushroom pizza via Deliveroo, the pizza arrived swiftly but was awful. There was not much tomato sauce and even less cheese. the base was nice enough and there were enough mushrooms but without the cheese and tomato it was tasteless. The chocolate brownie was delicious.

I went here for an evening meal with friend and really glad that I did, the pizza base was the right thickness, it was nice and cripsy on the edges and the dough was not soggy towards the middle. I ordered the vegeratian pizza and you can see clearly the ingredients was fresh and freshly prepared. The customer service was very good and the waiter was attentive. I sat outside as it was sunny and warm but you can see that inside the restuarant it was intimate and welcoming, you can see the chef making the pizza cooking it in the wood fire oven giving the restuarant a feel of home. I woudl recommend the Honest Italian to my friends.

Deliveroo driver messed up our delivery but they were very good at sorting it out and getting replacement pizzas ready so swiftly.

We ordered home delivery via Deliveroo. Absolutely the best, most authentic pizza I have eaten in the UK. Ever. Can't believe I've been wasting money on PizzaExpress all these years because that's all we knew - when genuine Italian pizza like this is actually right here in our neighbourhood. Can't recommend this highly enough...

El servicio es bueno y amable.Recientemente, obtuvimos un par de conclusiones de aquí durante el cierre del Coronavirus. Es increíblemente rápido. Tiempo transcurrido desde que presionan el pedido en Deliveroo hasta que la pizza se entrega en bicicleta a la puerta de mi casa (aproximadamente a media milla de distancia) = 11 minutos (!)

Ww were absolutely puzzled as to why we were the only people dining in here on a Saturday night (even a wet cold February one) although there was a lot of takeaway delivery activity. This is a real gem on Balham High Road a 'stone's throw' from the station. We received a warm welcome from the staff with the wood fired oven glowing in the background. Great value pizza of the highest quality and better than many I have eaten in Italy. We had a lovely South African Chenin Blanc which was great value too and our food arrived within a few minutes. I hope that the locals will also frequent the place rather than just have their fine food delivered - we will certainly be back - thank you !

Went here for lunch on a very quiet day because of the weather. It's nicely fitted out, attractive environment. Quite small but the food is really excellent. Limited Italian menu, but it's all really good. We had pizzas which were big and delicious. And apparently the aubergine parmigiani is excellent as well.

Travelled 2 hours for pizza. Amazinggg place. The food was really nice. Waiter and chef well friendly. 10/10 would return.

Ordered for takeout. Food was out with driver within 8 mins, save to say pizza was anaemic looking and Luke warm. Parmigiana was tiny and wasn’t very nice. Salad wasn’t dressed. Safe to safe I won’t be ordering from here again. It’s a no from me

Ordered a pizza for me and my girlfriend and ate in. It was decent and had a good amount of topping. Only critique I have is that there weren't many pizzas that weren't pork or vegetarian.

Good large pizzas, quickly served. Mine ould have been a little better cooked in the middle but my husband loved his. House wine is reasonable, although more choice by the glass would be appreciated. Had to ask for water.

We found this place quite by accident, looking for somewhere to eat close by the Balham Travelodge. We thought it looked closed at first until we were right in front of it, it was about 10 pm at night and we had had a full day at the tennis in Wimbledon. Lucky for us they were still serving. It is a gem of a place, small, excellent service and the food amazing. Would recommend to anyone who loves pizza!

I arrived at about 8pm. Ordered a pizza and a drink to eat in. All was in front of me within about 10 minutes. The pizza was delicious. If you like thin and crispy based pizzas (as I do) you won’t be disappointed

This restaurant has a great atmosphere despite limited seating. The menu was very impressive, the pizza tasted and looked incredible. Their sign out front says "very Instagram-able" and I couldn't agree more. Delicious!

Acabo de estar en este lugar para una cena rápida con nuestro hijo de 6 años a quien le encanta la pizza pero solo sin queso. El servicio fue muy bueno, todo el mundo fue muy amable y servicial. Todos estábamos muy contentos con nuestras pizzas. Jugos y batidos recién hechos también estaban muy bien. Solo estábamos en Balham por la tarde, pero si viviéramos cerca, creo que estaríamos mucho en este lugar.

Just moved to the area, thought I’d give it a try. Pizza has a delicately thin base and beautiful fresh topping. Had a bruschetta that was overflowing with fresh cherry tomatoes. The service was speedy, the staff were friendly and it was just a nice place to be. Will become a regular place to go for sure

Went to The Honest Italian on a sunny Sunday and absolutely loved it. Options to sit inside/outside (shaded area) or best of both worlds, at the bar seating by the front window.

We have visited this restaurant 4 or 5 times now and have never been disappointed. The food is amazing, the portions are generous and the service is great. Truly authentic experience and much more reasonably priced than other local restaurants. Would definitely recommend.

La pizza era tan fresca la base estaba muy finas y crujientes cocinadas en horno de leña. Un montón de verduras no sólo su 3 o 4 aceitunas, que tenía al menos 15! Servicio excelente, comida llegó rápido. Personal educado y amable. Pedí la pizza vegetariana con queso no era tan deliciosa, un increíblemente sabrosa.

Mi novia no es un gran fan de las pizzas pero decidí darle una oportunidad a este lugar. Realmente lo disfruté. Teníamos una pequeña mesa en la esquina, parecía bastante íntima. Los camareros eran muy simpáticos y serviciales. La comida estaba buena, sin duda, un lugar que volvería.

Lovely pizza, lots of options and really generous portion sizes. Staff are really friendly too! Only recommendation is that they should put affogato on the dessert list :-)

This is a rare pizza restaurant in England. It has a wood fired oven. Subsequently the thin based pizzas made by Tony, are outstanding. It's a small owner run restaurant, cosy and friendly. Would always recommend.

Las pizzas finas y crujientes (muy auténtico en su aspecto y sabor) y delicioso. También disfrutamos de una copa de la casa roja, que era suave y cálido, justo lo que necesitábamos. Estaba cerca de la hora de cierre, pero el personal era muy acogedor y amable y no parecía prisa de deshacerse de nosotros. Sin duda volvería allí.

We had a lovely evening, we ordered two pizza which were made in the wood pizza oven is front of us , lots of yummy toppings which were delicious, accompanied with some wine.

Brilliant friendly little place! Welcomed with a smile by all the staff despite not having a reservation and the service was excellent. The food is exceptional, authentic wood fired pizza's with the best toppings, clever combinations and huge portion sizes. They catered for our party extremely well offering child's portions to the people who were not as hungry, along with serving us an Affogato (vanilla ice cream in a shot of espresso) which wasn't on the dessert menu. Topped off with a lovely ice cold Limoncello. If you're looking for great pizza with a smile this is your place! Highly recommend!

Visited twice recently, once on a Friday and once on a Wednesday. On Wine Wednesday you get a free glass of wine if you buy a pizza! Great service from the waiters, nice decor and excellent pizza. Very reasonably priced as well. Will definitely be visiting again and recommending to friends.

An open kitchen always inspires confidence in me because of it's "nothing to hid approach". Sitting in the smallish restaurant (maybe 35 covers) the enormous wood-fired oven dominates the far end as does the chef extravagantly tossing the dough.The pizza itself was well stretched and tasty. The red wine was served at exactly the right temperature (it makes a difference, trust me). The waiters were eager and polite. It was a thoroughly pleasant evening.
