Pizzeria Pomodoretto in Wandsworth

We had two scrumptious gluten free vegetarian pizzas with toppings of our choice. Luciano and his team were warm and very hospitable. We would love to visit the Pizzeria again.

As an Italian abroad, I was on the lookout for a spot that serves authentic Roman-style pizza, and this place absolutely nailed it. The crust is perfectly thin and crispy, just like back home, and the toppings are fresh and full of flavor. I’ve been here a couple of times now, and it’s consistently excellent. If you’re after a true Roman pizza experience in London, this is the place to go!

My go to for good pizza (and other Italian dishes). Authentic, Italian family owned and run. Friendly owner and staff and the pizzas are great for a reasonable price. Forget the chain pizza places and give these guys your custom.

How can you deliver a pizza a keep it vertically in a bag?!? The food was not eatable, condiments were all over the place

I’ve ordered from them several times because I liked the product, but this is the second times something like this happens, the sausage smelled like it’s gone bad, very heavily, my house stinks of gone sausage… this is health and safety, you can’t serve something past the expiry date

Amazing Italian style authentic pizza. Great if you want to eat or order whole pizza or even if you just want a small piece. My favourite, definitely is the one with mozzarella and rocket salad. Family run business, the owner is a lovely guy always kind and smiling,ready to serve. I used to live really close ,so I would pop in often for lunch at least once a week. I live a bit further away now, but when I feel like pizza ,this is my go to place.

Unpretentious place serving delicious pizza al taglio - the parmigiana and fresh mozza with rocket are my favourites. Tiramisu is pure magic! Owner/chef is very kind and friendly

At this pizzeria they offer pre-baked pizzas to take away, but we opted instead to have two pizzas made to our own liking for lunch. The pizzeria here is truly impressive, with a taste that I haven't experienced anywhere else. The pictures speak for themselves. I can only recommend the “Italiana” pizza to everyone. You can feel how the owner prepares each pizza with great love. It's definitely worth just stopping by and trying it for yourself.

Excellent pizza with quick service and a cheerful if practical vibe - definitely more of a takeaway than somewhere to eat in but if you did it would be pleasant. Definitely try to move away from the toppings you would usually order especially if you typically load up on loads of meat as a little goes a long way and the bread used lends itself to some of the more unusual combinations - I recommend the potato and rosemary

The best pizza I've ever eaten!!!

A great spot for sliced pizza fans (pizza al taglio in Italian). The quality is so good and the place reminds my favourite pizzeria in Rome. I tried margherita and it was delicious: light and crispy. Now I know where to go next time I will miss the atmosphere and the taste of my city.

The pizza al taglio is SO good here that today after having a slice of potato pizza I just wanted to hold the owner's hand and thank him from the bottom of my belly! It was absolutely delicious and I'm gutted it's not close enough to where I live as I'd love to visit more often. Do not miss the opportunity to eat here in person (I've not tried the takeaway large pizzas but I'm sure those are outstanding too).

Best roman flat pizza in London so far.

Roman style pizza, crispy base, zero flop as Dave Portnoy says! Really tasty slices. Have yet to order a whole pizza but I’m sure it will be as good. Friendly owner/baker/server. It’s like stepping into Italy, very good.

I won’t be getting pizza from anywhere else! The quality of the pizza is unparalleled.

I don’t think the delivery driver should have taken the order as the food was sat waiting by 820 and he only collected it at 8.55pm as a result the food was super late and cold.

I ordered the pizza slices to take away and the quality is incredible: crunchy at the bottom, soft on the top, high quality ingredients (the tomato sauce is great!). I strongly recommend to try it out.

Unfortunately pizza was very overcooked and toppings were eow quality

The pizza was really horrible. Thought I would be getting a sausage cheese and mushroom topped pizza. It came and the meat was undercooked, the pizza stank really weird and it was contaminated with bits of sweetcorn where the ingredients were obviously put too close together and no new gloves worn. The taste was pretty bad and I had to put it back in the oven to recook the meat. The duo starter offer was not much better, the taste was ok this time. The mozzarella in the center however had not been wrung correctly leading the fried lumps to be a bit of a soggy mess.

Definite "hidden gem". Have lived in Wandsworth for couple of years and for some reason hadn't tried this place. Great selection of pizza "by the cut" (slice), and even after reheating had great crunch. As others said a nice change from Neapolitan style pizza - this is equally tasty but slightly different style. Recommending to everyone I know!

La pizza al taglio non è niente di che e la salsiccia che usano non è quella italiana. I supplì sono senza carne nonostante costino ben 3£ l'uno e li ho trovati anche un po' insipidi. Nel complesso niente di che e oltretutto è molto caro.

Pizza arrived cold, soggy and badly banged around the box with slices stacked on top of eachother. Tiramisu had also spilled sideways in the container. The meal had the feel of last night's leftovers. Not happy

Always a great selection of pizzas served by the slice making them great value for money and a perfect quick takeaway option. I have been many times and it never disappoints, always delicious! You can choose to sit in or takeaway, so it’s a great option.

I keep on coming back to you religiously because what you do is a great product. This is a hidden gem of a place for connoisseurs.

Nice place, ideal for a pizza take-away or even a quick meal inside the restaurant. Pizza is different from the classical Napolitan pizza and is equally super-lovely to eat. All the pizzas are made by the kind owner of the restaurant, with only Italian ingredients. The owner himself is Italian (Rome) with more than 40 years of pizza-making experience. I found myself welcomed, with a great product and normal prices. I would definitely suggest this restaurant to everyone in Putney who wish to try a really good italian pizza and service.

Posto carino, piccolo e spartano. La classica pizzeria al taglio italiana. La pizza è stra buona con una varietà di gusti enorme! La chicca è la pizza alla Nutella, assolutamente da provare! I proprietari carinissimi e alla mano, tanto che io e la mia amica ci siamo fermate a chiacchierare proprio come se fossimo a casa nostra, con tanto di caffè offerto. Assolutamente consigliato!!!!!!

this is a place that sells pizza by the slice but you can also order an entire pizza delivered with deliveroo. they offer great deals (5 big slices and a drink for £10). there is a great selection of toppings available, including ones without cheese for the vegans. the owner will always greet you with a smile. this is not a restaurant with table service: you order at the till, sit on a high chair , eat, leave but oh it's so so good!

Out of all the pizza places in wandsworth this is by far the best. From the ingredients/products and traybake style to the Italian owner and chef, who always goes out of the way for his customers. A pleasure to visit and eat, always.

This is the place for every Italian who is missing the real Italian Pizza al Taglio (take away sliced pizza). I am from Rome and pizza al taglio in Rome is a must, you eat it as a snack at mid-morning, quick lunch, afternoon snack, dinner in front of a movie.. and Pomodoretto makes the same pizza as we eat it in Rome. Plenty of choices, vegeratian, folded, with Italian sausage, plus all the fried appetisers like Suppli' (rice balls) and croquettes. I love this place and would suggest everyone to stop by and trying it.. unless you are looking for Neapolitan pizza style, this is different, so be aware. Thanks to the owners for bringing this piece of Rome to London!
