Brought two big dogs and had a nice place to sit, water straight away and they had leftovers of a mixed grill given as a treat so lovely service thank you all!

Decent place, can't complain about the food had the mixed grill which was overcooked and half the steak was fat & gristle, but it was only £15. But the rest of the food was ok. Service was good, everyone was really polite and smiling. The place was busy.

Danni behind the bar and serving meals was amazing. She has a brilliant sense of humour and engages with the customers in just the right way. Efficient and friendly and fun. What more could you ask for. Food on the visit was great drinks were to the usual high standard. Great night

Great place, great food and well worth a visit. Two mains for less than £12 is scandalous, give it a try

Lovely food, great prices friendly atmosphere. Just tried the new menu, Curry house feast and the Tandoori Chicken. Must say was very impressed. Bonus was a free drink by using the app..

Fast service, staff was really nice and always asked if everything was ok and if we needed anything else, brill food.

Arrived at 5.30 for tea on Saturday. Pub is bright and clean with lots of places to sit , some of the chairs are worn and shabby but the general appearances are good really friendly attentive staff. I ordered jerk chicken skewers with rice and veg other meal was Mediterranean chicken with chips and salad. Both came quite quickly 10-15 minute wait . The skewers had generous chunks of chicken which were nicely spiced. Fresh vegetables fried off with garlic and a good portion of rice really enjoyed would recommend

Alot better than the other sizzling pub we would usually visit as it has been treable the last few visits, but Homestead smashed it.

Came for bottomless brunch today with friends, and we had amazing service from the manager and staff, they was friendly and nothing was too much trouble, they kept asking if everything was ok and if we required anything else, would return

Went in a group of 5 for lunch. Ordered the mixed grill as it was small bits of everything. Others ordered chicken burger and fish and chips. The mixed grill was OK, hard to eat as you don't get a plate and have to chop the meat. The steak was cooked a perfect medium, the gammon was hard and tasteless but the chicken was very nice. The sausage was uneaten as very cheap and peppery. Shame about the rest though, the chips were undercooked and inion rungs were just soggy. The chicken burger was apparently nice but chips undercooked. Fish and chips tasted nice, very small portion. I wouldnt rush back.

Been for breakfast this morning 8 adult's and 4kids preordered we arrived at 10oclock and made very welcome food came shortly after and there were empty plates by all would definitely recommend the big breakfast and steak and egg's we will be returning in the near future staff was very good with the kids providing crayons packs and sweets thanks

Fabulous family Christmas Lunch. Great value for money. Felt slightly rushed but I'm sure that was only the staff wanting to ensure everything was done. Only down side was the men at the bar. Very loud drinking and swearing. Not called for in a family pub.

10 of us went in August for a family Birthday and had a great time. The food was great and the staff were wonderful,everything was so good we're all going again on Christmas Eve, can't wait xx

Visited The Homestead for my Dad’s birthday last night. The food was amazing value and perfect portion sizes. Will definitely be back soon.

The waiting time for our main meal and desserts was a little longer than normal, but we were not in a particular hurry, but we did have to ask about our desserts. A party of 4 seniors, we meet there often for a meal and drinks, as it is midway to meet. We all enjoyed our meal yesterday and thanked the bar staff , and the chef, who was just coming out of the kitchen as we were leaving. The staff are always friendly and polite, with a smile, and ask if we need anything while they are passing tables, when delivering, or collecting from various tables. The conservatory is our favourite area, as it seems too dark around the seats nearer the bar area, although it has not stopped us from staying for a meal.

Lovely little pub and the people that run it are so friendly, welcoming, and nothing is too much trouble. Food is lovely. However, the steak can be a bit hit and miss, particularly the rump it can be quite fatty. Other than that, everything else is spot on!!

Spent a wet Saturday afternoon eating and drinking, very welcoming staff and a great atmosphere 👌 food was hot and tasty. What more could you ask for!

Another fine lunch at the friendly Homestead. We had hunters chicken and clucking stack with dirty fries which was delicious again. Not too often you get the same standard of food and service on consecutive visits at this high level. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and we will return soon. Thanks again landlord.

Just started going back here recently and it is under new management which you can really tell. The manager is a super guy who is great with customers. The place was full on a midweek night and they had a lovely entertainer doing Irish bingo. The food was great and piping hot, and the service was fantastic. The food came pretty quick considering it was so busy. Will definitely be visiting more regularly now. Well done to the manager and all the lovely staff!

What a great pub the Homestead is now we have a great new manager, everything was perfect. The wait on food was only 20 minutes, for fresh food that's very acceptable, food was delicious, served by a lovely girl called Rachel. Smiles all around if you have not been for a while try it again you won't be disappointed.

Meal was cooked to perfection enjoyed it

The standards of cleaning tables between customers is well below what we would expect. Tables are left un-cleared and un-cleaned between customers for a considerable length of time. We have been in the establishment for over an hour and not one table in the area in which we are seated has been cleaned. This is not acceptable. Not eaten here recently and no plans to do so until this situation improves. May even look at drinking elsewhere

Absolutely shocking, steak was so poor quality I didn’t even eat half of it. Chips was cold, best thing about this place is that’s I hit the jackpot on the bloody bandit while waiting for the food 🤦‍♂️ I’ll not be going back

We had breakfast here today, and the food was lovely and fresh and very good quality nothing had been skimped on and the toast 👌 best brown bread toasted I think I've ever had. There were a few people already enjoying their breakfast and a lot more came in whilst we were eating. The atmosphere lovely, clean and cared for, food delicious but Janet our lovely server and Joe the Mgr made the visit even more enjoyable, nothing was too trouble and you could see they enjoy their jobs the way they welcomed visitors in, good to see Homestead back in hub of the community. 😊

Food and Drink were very good, waiting to order was a little longer than expected

Food wasn’t nice at all - mostly overcooked. Wasn’t sat together as a group when we booked in advance with a request to sit together. Waitress rude and not willing to try to help.

We've been twice now. The landlord and all the staff are really helpful and friendly. The place has a really nice atmosphere. The food is AMAZING. The Goodfellas burger is the nicest burger I've ever had. Our new dinner spot. It's perfect .....

The reason for only three stars is that the place was obviously very short staffed. Our meal was nice but the whole place was disgusting. The ladies toilets were terrible, 1 blocked and no toilet paper in either of them. No hand drier or paper towels, reported this to the staff and nothing was done about it. The tables were left uncleared and the bar area was full of dirty glasses. This could be a lovely pub if managed properly, as the queues at the bar were ridiculous.

We visited with a disabled member. Our waitress Leanne was so helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. We will be back, it’s sadly rare to find disabled friendly places where you can relax as a family. So this little gem made my sons day.

Had a lovely meal on Saturday night. Ended up staying until closing when some friends turned up unexpectedly 😊. Atmosphere was good, reasonable prices. Service wasn't the friendliest I've ever received, but certainly wasn't bad. Will return.

Had a birthday meal with our twin grandsons who are 13. They can eat for the country and were actually full after our meal. Everyone enjoyed the food, piping hot and tasty. Staff very friendly and helpful

We came for a birthday dinner and everyone enjoyed it they didn't have garlic bread for my meal but did offer to add an extra for free but I didn't bother it was quite busy and only two.memebers off staff serving but did seem to get everyone served quickly and still looked happy even when the bar seemed had a a big influx of customers we will be back only one thing which isn't the pubs fault the lack of special dietary things we had a member with us who had a gluten allergy but the landlord was apologetic and did his best to accommodate her

Your app; specifically ordering! As we'd not used the app before, I processed our order but despite pinged by my bank & receiving an email - the app showed that our order was still sitting in the basket, so, checked it, got our discount for first time attendance. Wait staff come over & says order processed twice! It then took us 45+mins to get our meals (our son got his first & finished by the time we got ours). We queried with wait staff about 35mins into wait... We stayed for the Irish Bingo & Family Fortunes as it was half-term week & our 10 year old was allowed to stay up later. We left around 9.45pm - having been there since 6pm for dinner, desserts & soft drinks! Staff were friendly, welcoming. Just a shame about the wait... a couple came in & sat behind us: ordered, ate & left before myself & hubby got our food! Joe (Manager) & Janet (wait staff) sorted out the app order confusion & looked after us very well - will order at the bar next time & save all that fuss! Haha!

It got a decent car park... Apart from that, only negative experience. The decor is dated and shabby, servis is dreadful, the place was almost empty on Sunday afternoon, and still the service was slow, App didn't work, we waited hours for food to arrive, and twice the waitress mixed up the orders! More training is definitely needed! When the food finally arrived it was either burnt(grilled veg) salmon was overcooked, halloumi was like a piece of rubber, salad was warm!!! My complaints were apparently "passed on to the chef", no apology... Train your staff, teach them how to smile and look after the customers, and forget the useless App!!!!!

We ordered food around 5.40pm and it took 50 mins to come which they didn't mention when we ordered. They forgot onion rings on the mega mixed grill, sausages were burnt on both kids mini breakfasts, chicken was only warm on the chicken platter. The lady working in the kitchen only seemed interested in the table sat near us, she kept coming out and telling the man on the table that they had ran out of certain products and he went and got them for her and then she kept coming and asking the children how the food was. It just looked really unprofessional.

Unfortunately I was very disappointed today I understand that it was a bank holiday and the guys were very busy but, we had a table booked for 6 at 5pm the table we booked wasn't empty till 6.30pm luckly there was a free table, undered food and told it was half an hour wait, which I was happy to wait due to alot of people, so food arrived 4 out of 6 dishes were either burnt or dry, no customer service to see if everything was OK, sorry but I won't be going again, I was on a 24hour shift and was looking forward to my food, disappointed and left hungry

Really nice breakfast and lots of it. Kind and courteous staff. Will be going again soon.
