Service in the cafe was quite bad, I think it's because we didn't want to sit on the high chairs (due to mobility issues) so waitress had to clean another table and then totally ignored us and served others that came in afterwards, had to go and ask someone to take our order and they didn't seem very pleasant throughout, food was OK when we finally received it but we'll overpriced.

Bought chicken a few times from here. First time gave me a bad tummy and it didn’t smell great… shouldn’t have eaten it but thought maybe me. Bought it again and given me awful tummy upset. Don’t bother buying very expensive and obviously selling bad and outdated chicken

Just when will the butchers stop handling chicken with bare hands and then handling everything else in their vicinity without washing their hands. To be frank I’ve grown a little fed up telling them that their standards are poor. Even when purchasing Chicken only it’s unsafe as they simply bag it up so handling the packaging that then transfers contamination to everything else in my shopping bag. Personally I’ve taken to opening the plastic vegetable bags and let them drop the product in. When will that team learn basic food hygiene?

Lovely cafe for breakfast. It's 5 minutes off the motorway, we went here on our way to Cheshire Oaks and it was lovely. Arrived at 9 on a Wednesday and it wasn't too busy. Staff were delightful and the food was so nice and very fresh. It's not as big or pretty as the Little Budworth one but it's so handy to stop there and much nicer having breakfast here than Cheshire Oaks. I thought the cafe prices were fine. The same as any very nice cafe you'd go to. I had the granola and it was really yummy. I'd definitely go there again. The food in the farm shop isn't cheap but it's nice produce and tbh I think all farm shops are similar prices.

I only nipped in for coffee, I grabbed a cappuccino, staff were very friendly and the coffee was one of the best cups I’ve had. It was quite busy in there and I loved the atmosphere. It was a very pleasant visit, and I’ll certainly be back again soon for more coffee and some food too. Cheers!

We lived in Cheshire until moving to Kent so this is a favourite place to meet up with friends for coffee/lunch etc. It is very popular, while we were there some people were given a buzzer to have until a table became available. There is plenty to look at while you wait, a lovely farm shop with upmarket items in the deli section. The gift shop section has beautiful things in too including some lovely children’s books, cuddly toys and other toys. Plenty of gifts that are a bit different, I bought a mug which I couldn’t resist,it said, “I’m from Cheshire”...(The posh bit). See photo.

Ordered rarebit and it tasted like gravy? This was replaced by the quiche which was just as awful...soggy pastry and weird filling...it tasted as if it had been microwaved? Coffee was delicious but will not be returning again. Unfortunately because of the fact that the restaurant is all hard surfaces the noise is unbelievable and makes a conversation across the table impossible.

We don't live too far away but we don't head south much so don't get many opportunities to come here. We tried a few months back, but could not get a table.

Coming from abroad, popped in today and watched as they said they've no tables available for a waiting couple. We then requested a table for 2 and could see 4 tables for 4 on which there were only two people drinking/eating at each. We were told they had no free tables. When asked about the free spaces they said if the table was partly filled they didn't offer the rest of it. Where but in England and the North of England at that, would a coffee shop be so pretentious as to think strangers can't sit together?

After many vivits to the other Hollies at Little Budworth we decided to give the other Hollies a try after being very disappointed in the Coffee Shop/Restaurant at Little Budworth. This was much better, staff were better organised and much more pleasant and it just seemed better organised as we could never work out who did what at Little Budworth.A much better and enjoyable experience.

Came this morning for breakfast and tried the white chocolate and the Rocky road biscotti, made by the young lady promoting them – her own business. All the very best of luck for this gorgeous product, tasted absolutely gorgeous but must keep to my SlimmingWorld!

Have used there sister shop and although the other shop is fantastic for produce and meat I’ve never felt entirely comfortable in the restaurant. The staff there are friendly and efficient but never the less, that uncomfortable feeling persisted. We decided on the spur of the moment to try this one with not great expectations. However I was proved wrong. We initially sat outside but was advised by staff that a food order will attract unwelcome guests (wasps). The seating area inside was much more to my liking and all staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. We were only wanting a lunchtime snack and had rarebit which was excellent. Overall my preference is for the Kitchen rather than 59 which is personal choice

We were on our way to Wales for a weeks holiday & had been travelling for quite a while so pulled off the M56 to swap drivers. Quite a few cars followed us off the motorway so it was difficult to just pull over at the side of the road. We had only gone a matter of a couple of 100 yards when we saw the sign for Hollies Farm Shop & it was 12:30 so we thought yes well why not, lets stop & stretch our legs.

Food excellent but service below par . After our main course we asked the waitress for the menu again to order sweets and coffee. The menu never arrived for some time until we asked another member of staff for it . We ordered coffee and dessert . Five minutes after ordering , the original waitress arrived we told her we had ordered . The coffee eventually arrived with no sweet - just about to leave and the sweet arrived ( which we would of liked with our coffee ) .proceeded to the counter to pay and the girl noticed we had been charged for four coffees . This was rectified . Good food but staff need to get with it . Ruined our day - was supposed to be a little treat for hubby who had recently had surgery . Too much time spent keeping a eye on things as service wasn’t up to much I’m afraid .

Great place for quality food. sit inside or out. Staff are well trained, friendly and patient. our latest visit was a small group comprising of some elderly persons, waitress was very pleasant and helpful with slightly slow oldun's. We only had the cream scone and a pot of tea each, and for £6 might seem expensive, but the quality was superb a proper home made scone with generous helpings of butter jam and Clotted cream, with some fruit on the side. Delicious. We will be going again and look forwards to trying a wider range from the menu.

I visited the Hollies today and entered via the restaurant. I am a disabled person who finds it very difficult to walk/ open doors. The entrance was blocked and the right hand door was locked. A member of staff did open the door but the obstruction was put back in front of the entrance. I approached the manager and explained the fire risk. She just rolled her eyes n asked did I want a table?? I requested she keep the entrance/exit clear to which myself and my disabilities were treated with scorn. I went into the Hollies shop the staff are so helpful, accommodating and friendly and cannot do enough for you. Restaurant take note!!! Shop staff 10 out of 10. They even carry your bags to your car if necessary. Thank you for that. To the manager of the Resaurant please enrol on a fire safety course and disability awareness as people skills are severely lacking.

We have been regulars of The Hollies for many years and it pains me to say this but the quantity and quality do not now match the price. The chicken and bacon salad now has the addition of a few pieces of Camembert and is now nearly £14 per person!!! Let me say it is nice but nothing to write home about, portions are small and the salad is fairly run of the mill. When you can go into Stockton Heath and get a 3 course lunch in a French restaurant for the same price this highlights that for a cafe this is way too high! I suspect observing the downturn in the cafe we are not the only ones to decide we can get better value elsewhere. Sad but unless there is a rethink I suspect trade will suffer.

My sister took me here for coffee. We sat outside with my dog. The garden area and furniture was very comfortable and pretty. I liked how you were positioned. ..like being in your own garden. You can even sit in a pod! It is waitress service. We shared a coffee cake which came served on 2 plates beautifully decorated. At other places you get just two spoons. Staff friendly and personable. Our waitress was lovely...sorry did not get her name but her dog was on holiday in Accrington! A lovely experience. 2 coffees and a cake... £9.80. Would come again. Doggy station would be welcome but I'm sure they would have given my dog some water if we asked. Well done. Hope to come again.

Had wanted to visit for a while so decided to take my mum for breakfast for her birthday. A real disappointment. Fried egg and bacon very hard and eggs Benedict luke warm. The wait was disproportionate for our order and when I asked the most disinterested waitress I have been served by could she check our order as other had been served before us it all seemed a bit too much....apparently toast will always be served before other breakfasts....seems a strange way of serving too me. To be fair I did complain as mum's breakfast was poor and Carol dealt with it well offering to cook all again but I just accepted a freshly cooked egg. So the two stars are for carol who was polite and efficient. On the whole a real disappointment.

We bought a £54 turkey for Christmas dinner and as such expected a fine quality bird. Instead it was inedible. It had an absolutely weird texture akin to pork perhaps. You get a glossy leaflet with the turkey telling you all about the farmers and breeding etc together with cooking instructions which were followed precisely. We've cooked turkey dinners for 30 years so we know what we're doing. This wasn't about the cooking this was purely down to a very poor quality offering. A complete waste of money and effort so we would definately steer clear of this place

Decided to have lunch following undertaking shopping in their farm shop. The restaurant was busy so I decided to sit outside. Lovely outside seating. Inside is decorated to a high standard. Staff are very attentive. The menu has lots of choice. I decided on the salmon fishcakes with salad . It was superb. It came with a piece of whole bread, mayonaise and chilli dip. A colourful plate of food. Very fresh and tastey. Very reasonably priced.

I arranged to meet some friends here for breakfast, as they have been many times and highly recommended it. I have to say that the food was very nice, but on the morning we visited, it was so noisy. It seems that it's a place for some 'school run' mums to meet after dropping off their young ones. Unfortunately, a table behind us seemed to be unaware of the impact of their 'talking'. Even one of the waiting staff commented on how loud it was when trying to take our order. The farm shop is a place filled with local produce so was an added bonus after eating. I'd certainly try the Hollies again, with the hope it's a little quieter!!

Went to this subway today, staff are so rude. Threw my salad into the box and rushed my husband when he was ordering his sub, when we asked if the bottles are in the meal deal we got a massive sigh and a response of “yes it always has been nothing has changed” food was a mess and wrapped like a child did it. Will not be returning appealing service

Fantastic breakfast. Unfortunately the Roast beef dinner was cold, poor quality and exceptionally disappointing. I did try to explain to a staff member but just got "oh" as a response.

We’ve used the Red Lion for years. It’s a proper pub with a good selection of beers in a building with real character. They have developed the outside area, and recently refurbished the inside, including the Gents facilities! All this has been done whilst retaining the cozy friendly atmosphere.

Who is the chef in this joint? He,or she ( can you call a women chef? Or is it chefette?) Who knows. Anyhoo, only ordered a plate of chips but 👌 Crispy, sure, fluffy on the inside, you better believe they were, all washed down with a pint of the amber nectar. Get this person on master chef, tout suite.
