Finally back to selling toated tea cakes - on the small side though and still over priced. Still no atmoshere in the cafe.

Quick stop to pick up a coffee on the way to work. Staff friendly and efficient, although it wasn't too busy. Because of it's location at a main road junction, traffic can build up causing problems getting on and off the carpark. Recommended

There was no toilet paper to use, good job I had a packet of tissues in my pocket. Staff replaced it when I made them aware, but they should have done that before it ran out.

Quite a queue despite there being 4 members if staff on Jimmy who served us 1stly looked like a smile would hurt and had what seemed like a natural surly attitude lots of tables with disused crockery on them not cleared no interaction from.serving staff to anyone else waiting in the queue just made 1 drink at a time (surely multi taking is a pre requisite for staff)

Tables weren't cleared, and when they were, they weren't wiped clean. Had to clear our table despite asking. Very little food available. Seemed more interested in serving the drive thru rather than people in store.

Very dirty place. We didn't know if stay in or sit outside. There wasn't different. Three people but we where waiting ages. Coffee was like a dirty water . Because was half an hour before they closed coffee was just in paper cups. Few years ago it was really nice place for relax . Not now.

Never open when says it will be open. Opening times need updating or hire people who open it on time

Lovely place to come and sit for breakfast, nice in the evening too. Can be busy sometimes but the staff are very friendly and the service quick! 2023 edit: opening hours are not correct online. Says 7am Sunday, it ain't open!

Come here once a month to meet a friend for breakfast on a Sunday… not my choice ! Every time we come in we say how fed up the staff look and how long it takes to actually get served. Today at 10am there were no glasses for a latte so a paper cup was provided. 2 pieces of butter was provided for toast which clearly isn’t enough. When asked for one more I was told I would be charged for it…. What? Staff need to learn to smile and be more approachable.

Rubbish, rude service, drinking inside but served up in paper cups like a kid at a birthday party. When correcting the lady as she brought a small instead of a medium, they thought it would be acceptable to just fill it up with milk. Garbage.

Coffee use to be very good but last couple of times i visit this branch totally disappointed coffee was cold like ice and second visit coffee was slightly warmed up who likes cold coffee ?

The staff were brilliant and the coffee is always good

My experience is of the drive thru. They get the queue down reasonably quick and in my opinion the drinks are always better here than other costs nearby. The staff are very pleasant too. The only downside is they turn the machine for cold drinks off very early, maybe an hour or more before closing.

Why can't Costa make a HOT cup of coffee....its luke warm at best..

Disgusting attitude from one of the female workers. 2 men in front of me walked out because of slow service. When the guy behind the counter pointed out to the girl that they was losing customers, her reply was, “I don’t care, I still get paid “ I am sure that this is not the type of attitude or customer service that Costa expects from its employees. If she does not want the job, I am sure that there are others who would be more than happy to take it.

Two drinks ordered. Both not made properly, (I worked at costa for 2 years) staff are lazy and rude. Had a bad experiences previously but decided to give them another go. Lets every other costa branch down as the drinks are no where near company standard.

Went with my daughter and grandson today , lots of staff but filthy tables , service was slow and coffee station and machine had not been cleaned down for a long time . Staff said they didn’t want to be there and it was very apparent. To top it off my coffee was cold !! Very disappointed

Preordered a coffee, turned up before the allocated time (got there quicker than I thought I would) but it wasn't an issue they made it for me there and then so I didn't have to wait to long

Have only visited Costa for a drink with various friends - the staff seem friendly but it just doesn't have a lively vibe as do so many other Costas in Warrington... Parking is good as has such a variety of spaces to choose but not many Disabled.. I've always had difficulty then getting out of the car park and back onto Winwick road - not great but you just have to be patient and somebody will hopefully let you out... Not my favourite Costa but for a meet and drink briefly with friends it's good

Website says they open at 06.00 on a Saturday, but actually opens at 07.00. Other than that Great Coffee, Smartly dress Staff and very polite. Very clean store. 100%+

Used drive thru 3.20pm 21 10 22. Whilst queing saw server give V sign to car ahead leaving. How many others get the same treatment? Totally unprofessional and gives poor image of Costa. Maybe having a bad day as only two girls serving- the one who did not have blue hair was the one giving the V sign reflects poorly on Costa.

Got together with a catch up with a colleague and friend who haven't seen for a while!we absolutely loved it !had a lovely toasties and a large skinny latte,highly recommend and lively friendly atmosphere

Friends visited today both don't eat meat. Ordered vegetarian breakfast. They brought it out with real sausage. To which the response was it being snatched back by the woman. A young lad brought the vege one back and apologised. One friend said hope she is OK tell her to smile. (Meaning hope she is ok) the left got in the car and began to pull away. Then a screaming shout oi excuse me oi. Do you have a problem. It was the female member of staff. Screaming. She claimed to be the manager. They proceeded to say no problem etc so she proceeds to scream and shout. She had dark hair was pregnant and a piercing each side of her mouth. What an utterly disgusting way to treat people and to behave. We tried to call costa their lines aren't working. We sent a message via Facebook and also filled in an online form for customer service. No response all day.

Everyone looks busy but they are doing nothing. The staff have no direction and that must be down to the lack of management. It doesn’t take 12 minutes to make one drink from ordering

6 staff all seemed like they were new. Customers were leaving because had to wait so long. Felt sorry for the new staff as they were just left to it. I could see they were struggling. Took about 15minutes for the staff on drive thru to react and move staff around.

The coffee is always really good and the staff are so friendly. Good value for a good cuppa. A really big thing that lets it down is because there isn't any bins outside and the staffing don't clear away the empty cup's and food packaging in the outside seating area it's always really dirty and Scruffy

Have been here twice now the first time I came 45 mins before closing to be told that they were not serving cold drinks anymore. The second time we came there was a notice that they were having staff issues and had closed at 4pm. Avoid this costa and try the second nearest one.

Had the most awful experience in Costa today. I was in with a work colleague at approx 4.45pm and after I was spoken to so rudely by a staff called Hannah I asked for my money back. Never experienced this in all my years of travelling up and down the country and using Costa’s. She pushed my order to me on a tray in a really rude way and when I explained that wasn’t all of my order she persisted to be rude. I came into the shop to meet with a colleague for 20 mins and then requested a refund as she made us both feel really uncomfortable! Horrendous experience!

Not many people in, was served very quickly. Lots of seating both inside and outside.

I am a regular here. I must be spending on an average 15 pounds every other day enjoying their sandwiches , sweets, coffee etc. For the first 4 trips I was not told about the Costa app and free coffee. In later trips I realised what I missed not knowing about the app. So that's one point. I know Im paying for dinning in. I request to slightly warm my food...brownies and sandwiches as well. Since it's cold inside and I like the warmth of the food. I was given it the first 4/5 times before. Today I asked for the same and was told the mayonnaise in my veg sandwich should not be heated. I informed there's no mayonnaise. I was then told 'something' in it should not be heated and heating it will cause 'cross contamination'( veg sandwich?). The brownie was passed through the heat not warmed enough. I have not enjoyed my interaction with most of the associates. They are curt and least bothered. But such a huge deviation in service and this was done without any apology just curt repetition of same words again. I have been very kind and friendly to the staff always requested with a smile and please though it rarely gets returned. Today there was a fan like blow coming out at the place I was sitting at the latter part of the day. I informed them that it's so much that I can't sit. The support staff said okay but it continued until I left which was almost an hour after I told them. Need I say...Will never come here again!Adieu Costa.

Good range of pastries and savouries, however the latte coffee are still very weak. Like drinking hot milk.

What can you say, Costa is Costa. Store staff here a pleasure to deal with. They even took my empty cup for the bin when I went through the drive thru.....it was a Starbucks cup

Friendly staff and clean coffee shop.

This is my go-to coffee shop. It does get busy and there can be queues but the staff gets people served as fast as possible. I usually get it to take away and sit outside where there is plenty of seating and it's quite pleasant in the good weather. You can usually find a seat inside if it starts to pour down. It's not cheap but there is a wide variety of hot and cold tea and coffee. There is M&S food too, salads, pizzas, sandwiches, etc as well as a wide variety of muffins and cakes. Overall there is very little to complain about, I wish vegans didn't have to pay extra for oat milk but such is life.

Absolutely terrible service. We have a 6 man order almost daily, some dairy some non dairy milks (lactose intolerance) and the coffees are never ever right

Went in today to get a coffee and a flat white with toast. The girl who served me only started in the last few days but she was kind enthusiastic and a credit to Costa Thank you

Sort your Staff out! Absolutely disgusted that I had to walk out. Filthy look off the Barista, she didn't even acknowledge me to take my order! Instead some old lady barged in front of us and she spent a good few minutes talking to said Barista, felt completely ignored. Disgusting.

By far the worst experience I've had just trying to get a coffee. Nobody seemed to have a clue what they were doing and nobody was taking a lead. I can only assume there was no manager on shift to lead. Service was so terrible that having waited 20 minutes and still not having had my order taken I left and went elsewhere. I would recommend you don't waste your time by going here and either go to the Starbucks down the road or the Greggs round the corner where I was served with good customer service and had my drink in my hand within 2 minutes.

Today I visited the Costa on winwick road, Warrington with my 84 year old grandad. We were refused service because I didn’t scan the QR code for track and trace. Upon entry I was served at the till and a payment was taken. I was then asked to scan a code or if I had the app, I’m not fully sure so I said I don’t have the app and I’ve never scanned a code before. I was then directly told that if I didn’t I would have to leave. Obviously this was quite insulting, especially in front of a que full of people so I challenged her back and said it’s not a legal requirement to have to scan a QR code, she told me she would have to refund me if I didn’t do it so I said ok refund me then. As she did the refund, I told her that I didn’t know why she can’t just write down my details for track and trace like other places do as it would have been more simple and she said well I can do it on the computer? It sounded complicated. By then she had already processed the refund. I was so annoyed and anxious. we just left. Your staff need to learn how to communicate properly with customers. If I was asked from the off politely to give my details for track and trace I would have said yes, but to be told to scan a code or leave wasn’t the right way to do it. As I took the receipt and walked away she shouted “you’re welcome!”???? Seriously, she expected a thank you after all that?? You need to teach I your staff some manners.

After visting costa yesterday and standing i the queue a friend of 60 years old needed to sit down she sat at a available table with no reserve signs on it i was the told the gentleman in front had booked the table.. is this allowed at a coffee shop? And was told to move .. i am a military veteran and was treated like something the staff had trod in and was refused service i found this to be most insulting and you need to review your rule i am well aware of covid but this was outragous

I can appreciate that they are a busy shop but what they serve you is terrible..coffee either to hot that you taste the burnt in the milk..I order same every time I go and most times it's ok but they are on a run of bad coffee..they will start losing customers well today they lost 4 good customers

Very busy coffee shop on a very busy road on the A49, Winwick road. Very handy drive through as the car park can be difficult to find a space due to the other units on site. Staff always nice and up to the usual Costa high standard.

I have visited this branch of Costa a few times and i have found it to be very unkept and scruffy. The chairs have seen better days, the tables are always dirty, carpet and floors are full of crumbs and bits and the blinds and windowsills are filthy. This will be my last time visiting this branch due to the poor standards of cleanliness.

It’s a Costa.. Staff pleasant enough, coffee nice. Long queue to be served & plenty of grubby tables which seems to be standard for Costa.

This is a busy Costa and that’s always better seems food is fresher and baristas get more practice?? Had an Americano with soy which mixes much better than home soy . Had a toasted fruit bread which is good value too .
