Don’t come on neighbourhood festival weekend, 1+ hour wait on food

Came out for the 1st time after surgery Ordered food, really nice But when you order starters and a main You expect a starter then your main meal when finished. I knew it was going to be bad when I went to the bar for another drink, And a server came over to ask bar person Can you remember who ordered food for table 4 something Luckily I overheard and reeled off the order. They brought it to the table and what a surprise Starter and main meal together So thank you so much witherspoon For ruining by 1st time out and basically forcing me to over stuff myself with a starter and main meal at once. Just what I need after major surgery

Person bringing out food esp 2may very un happy. Just plonked food on one end of the table. Food not as good as previous visit

I go here almost every Wednesday with my Grandson for dinner. There are 2 young ladies that work behind the bar and take my food order. Just want to say how lovely and friendly they both are. Honestly, they are a credit to you and my Grandson loves seeing them.

Average food. The mixed grill meat gets thinner and thinner. Drinks are excellent value though

Came in yesterday for some food around lunch time, I sat upstairs as I think it’s a nicer area and was served by a lovely worker, im sure her name was elle! She had a smile on her face and was always happy to help with any queries I had even though there was a slight dinner rush, she’s an asset to the team! Will definitely be returning.

Served by Jolee today, absolutely fantastic, made you feel so welcome and was really friendly, absolutely brilliant at her job!

Good pub, good atmosphere and great food choices

As you'd expect from a Weatherspoons

Made the mistake of reading the table number upside down when I ordered - my fault. When I told the bloke working the upstairs he shrugged his shoulders and told me I'd just have to go downstairs and collect my food myself. So I went downstairs, I spoke to the barmaid and what did she do? Told the bloke upstairs to go get my order for me. So in other words him upstairs told me to tell her downstairs to tell him upstairs to get my order. And then he forgot my drink. When I asked for it he scooped ice in until there was no room for any actual liquid and then tried following me back to my table to have a go. What a lazy steroidal nutter.

Usual Wetherspoons pub cheap drinks and food. The big difference here is the condition of the cask beers. I don't know if it's a way of servings quickly and being able to pull a pint in one go but the ale is flat! There is no head and the sides of the glass when drinking is clear. With that in mind it tastes terrible 😕

A decent wetherspoons to chat and have a drink

Visited here Monday afternoon with friends. We had a table upstairs for most of the afternoon buying drinks until all our group had arrived. The young lady sering on the upstairs bar was absolutely lovely. Later on we ordered food. 3 of the meals came quickly from 2 separate orders. A fourth meal had to be asked for again before it arrived. My meal was a small fish and chips., I didn't expect it to be big, but when the fish came, we were all shocked how small it was!! It was more a fish bite and not what anyone would expect as a fish!! How any chef would be happy to serve it. We should have taken a picture. We were fobbed off when the portion was questioned. After our food we had more drinks and later went to order desserts. When served by a different young lady asking if we could order desserts to our table, we were told the upstairs is shut, we don't have enough staff to keep it open and we couldn't order any!! We hadn't been told upstairs was going to shut, had we known we would have moved downstairs. We were left very disappointed.

Great Wetherspoons, always a good atmosphere in here. Food is great, drinks are very cheap compared to all other town centre pubs, and staff are friendly & efficient.

We went on a Wednesday evening, enough people in to create an atmosphere . We ordered from the table, drinks were prompt but food was a little slow, I'm guessing they were short staffed. The food itself was good.

I came here for a brunch so decided to go for the large mixed grill. It was by far the worst one I have ever had.The meats were that burnt and overcooked I couldn’t work out what was what.Was it steak or was it gammon?The egg and sausage were good.The mushroom was so small I can’t believe they sent it out . I never complained because the serving staff are brilliant and friendly and overworked. It’s down to the kitchen staff sending food out they wouldn’t eat themselves and down to the management or do they want a fast turnover with crap food and nobody comes back .

Exceptional visit today, the ultimate burger and a pint were excellent value and the staff were friendly. We will definitely be returning :)

Nice rap and a good pint staff not very friendly

Food was good, service was acceptable. The atmosphere however, was awful - every window and door had been opened, meaning tobacco smoke from outside had drifted in and filled the entire place. For that reason, I'll never go again.

I have been to many Wetherspoon's pubs and this one is the worst so far. The food is of mediocre quality, it is stuffy. Avoid if you can. There are many other pubs to choose from in Warrington.

Nice quiet place cheep and cheerful

I been to restaurant today, we ordered one stake and 2 halloumi portions they put all together in one plate. When I asked why you put in one plate they said we served like that that’s not good if one person is vegetarian and other are not how you can differentiate. We ordered 5 drinks and some sides than staff is not cooperate with us. I spent that much money for not that type of food.

What an absolute disgrace the place is filthy and the bar staff are lacking in customer service skills. Will never use this spoons again. Been all over the UK and have never been treated in such a poor manner as in our home town. Something needs to change.

Standard Spoons but with interesting stones that can be seen through a window in the floor. Would be happy to go back. The staff were friendly and efficient.

Did not order food so cannot comment. Place looked quiet when we walked in so found a table and ordered 2 drinks on the app. Waited 20 minutes and decided to go to the bar to chase them up. Queued for 10 minutes. Only 1 girl behind the bar which was awash with cups, plates and half empty glasses of beer. In the end I gave up and left. The £8 I'd put on the app was sacrificed to the God of Wetherspoons in payment for my sanity.

If you enjoy a Spoons where the manager doesn't hand out straws for your drinks, then this is the Spoons for you. (Apparently all straws are banned as the manager doesn't like picking the wrappers up, so the staff say) If you enjoy drinking and eating to sound of crying babies and kids running around, then this is the Spoons for you. If you enjoy seeing your drinks sitting at the bar for 15 minutes before being delivered to your table, then this is the Spoons for you. Got to be THE worst Wetherspoons I have been to so far for service and food issues. Never really had much of a problem with others before. But this one manages to get worse with each visit. No straws for your drinks? Now that's the final straw!

The chips weren't nice, but everything else was good. We ate with family, including 2 children. The chicken wraps were delicious. Everyone enjoyed their meal. It's good the children have fruit options too. Very short staffed today, no food upstairs and no ordering via the app, however, could not fault the staff, those we saw kept smiling and cheerful even through the massive queues at the bar, to get served

That's my first time going to Warrington area.

Great place for food and drink staff very friendly and a very welcoming pub

Had a fantastic time with my wife, made very welcome by staff, atmosphere was great everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves, Manager was lovely & was working very hard on the floor making sure food was going out & tables being cleaned for other customers

The atmosphere was good in here, it was busy so took a while longer to get our drinks that we ordered on the app. We didn't try the food and could easily find a seat.

A very interesting building on two floors. Quiet. Excellent service. Food good.Will return if ever in Warrington again. Just another wonderful Spoons.

Had burger and chips x2 Got one of our orders wrong and then when we mentioned it, they responded saying that we didn't say with cheese - when we did - think it was just that one staff member who was rude everyone else was lovely. Paid for a single slice of cheese. Chips were cold, burger was disgusting. Complained and offered a new meal - so much better. Overall just a awful experience.

Sad is the only word that accurately describes our experience at this pub. The food was terrible, the burgers dry and papper thin, we should have gotten McDonald's! We ordered -burgers and got a slice of meat between 2 buns, no cheese to be found for a mile. As for the service, counting is clearly not a skill requirement as we ordered 2 and got 1, we had to reorder, honestly why go there, just stay home. The place is big and looks nice so perhaps it has seen better days but right now it definitely needs some TLC to get back on its feet.

I've eaten at lots of weatherspoons but the meal on new year's eve this year was terrible

Myself and my partner went for breakfast with his son on Boxing Day and it was one the worst experiences we’ve ever had from a spoons. The cups were filthy so my partner ended up washing the cups himself from the upstairs glass collection point which was filthy and full of beer flies.. he ordered the veggie breakfast which came with half the items missing when he complained they brought the back the same food with the missing items that had been left aside in the kitchen but were really overdone and inedible, when my partner complained the lady working snatched the plate from him and didn’t even give him an apology they finally brought back the right order with the amended missing items but the rest of the breakfast was stone cold as they’d clearly just left the plate there whilst fixing the order to the pint where he’d had to complain a 4th time about a veggie meal which isn’t difficult to put out and had to ask them to just microwave the lot again because we’d been waiting half hour for a simple veggie sausage beans tomatoes mushrooms and toast to be ready heated and corrected with the hash browns if never seen anything like it! The carpets hadn’t looked liked they’d been cleaned and there had been an empty coffee cup and beer glass sat on at able on a quiet service for 3 hours between the time I’d gone in at 9:30 for a coffee and done shopppiny before coming back in with the other two for food. My eggs Benedict with mushroom however was nice and the son enjoyed his wrap it’s just a shame about the customer service and cleanliness

Terrible ,they told me to sit on a table and it took them long time to clean the table after they brought the food. We literally had to keep our plates up for the table to be cleaned. Food is extremely oily, extremely bad service, keep away

I had the new Fiesta Brunch breakfast, it was 10 out of 10, lovely food and nice staff, very quick service, I would definatly recommend.

It is a Wetherspoons, meets the Ronseal Standard. You know what to expect. Staff friendly, chatty, a great meeting point. Travelled to meet family, quiet (can hear yourself think ;-) on a Thursday pm, comfy, clean, a bit of a reckkie. Space to hold a larger gathering / meeting of family only four of us but have done twenty plus in past elsewhere. Three mins walk from cheap affordable parking in Times Square.

Always busy town centre Wetherspoons. Good selection of ale. Food to usual Spoon's standard.

I am doing a fruit and vegetable diet and was wondering if I would find something "nice" to eat here. I ordered a noodle soup which was so delicious. It was really really tasty. Very glad we stopped here for a bite to eat.

Who is the chef in this joint? He,or she ( can you call a women chef? Or is it chefette?) Who knows. Anyhoo, only ordered a plate of chips but 👌 Crispy, sure,fluffy on the inside, you better believe they were, all washed down with a pint of the amber nectar. Get this person on master chef, tout suite.

Saturday lunch time very quiet but still had to wait 45 mins for food. No clean cups available again had to wait until they were washed. Food eventually came which was cold, not impressed

Ordered chips and curry, over £5 hardly any curry sauce, half of the chips were over cooked too, would eat here again 😔

Got to rate this as one of the worst spoons I've ever been to. Came here for breakfast before creamfields. The eggs were miles over done, The black pudding was rock solid, only gave me 2 small bits of butter for me toast. The pint tasted bitter and flat. I waited to be served for about 15 minutes it's as if the bar staff picked their favourites and served other people who queued up after I did.

Bar staff need to concentrate on which customers need serving next...nothing worse than waiting to be served then bar staff attend to someone who came after you...then proceed to doubt your word when you point this out!

I've never had the food from the spoons in warrington but the service is fast and there's no faffing around, its got a great atmosphere its not to quite and not to loud get a bit busy but not as busy as some I've been to. It's also very clean the glasses are clean as well and so are the tables

Went here for a couple of drinks before getting food and was quite shocked. I didn’t expect anything to be too fancy as it wasn’t a fine dining place but didn’t expect SEVERAL dirty glasses either. My boyfriend had gotten a lager and had what looked to be old food on the bottom of the glass. I ordered a cherry pepsi and was met with finger marks all inside the glasses.

Over 1 hour waiting for hamburger, nobody warned us that take so long. Finally meal wasn't tasty.

A bit disappointing. I went to what was one of the best Wetherspoons in Warrington centre but it was one that had been sold, post Brexit. I walked half a mile to another and a big screen showing football was on at one end (not for me, thanks) so I got a coffee and went to the far side of the bar. The coffee (shown) was supposed to be a milky coffee, but was strong, black. The tables were strewn with menus and food debris and an open bottle of vinegar. I ordered food using the app. A glass of apple juice was plonked unceremoniously on the table, without so much as a grimace. It had ice which I had specifically requested to 'remove', as it affects my teeth. I shouted the waitress back but she ignored me. The food (jacket potato and tuna mayonnaise) arrived without the table being cleared or cleaned, and was generous in proportions, but the salad had seen better days.

Had a chicken tikka was charged extra for a garlic naan I didn’t ask for when my food arrived asked for a plain naan as I did not ask for the garlic naan she said yes of course I’ll have them bring another one out and never did one lady with dark hair was lovely but the other lady said the kitchen just didn’t make the naan bread as I had finished my food.
