Got Don Pho on uber and I didn’t expect such big portion of beef! The beef slice could be more tender but it’s easily the best pho I’ve got outside of Vietnam

Pretty good find. We were given a table last minute before closing on valentine's day without a booking which was nice of them! We ordered quite a few dishes; beef pho, chicken gyoza, spring rolls and bao buns. The pho was the showstopper! Delicious, umami broth with melt in the mouth shavings of brisket. Felt very nourishing and not heavy at all. The cocktails were good too. Everything was tasty and arrived in good time. Would definitely recommend

We wanted to try this viet place for a few months and heard it was good. We finally got round to do this with some friends as a nice Saturday lunch gathering. Everyone arrived within 15mins of our booking time. As we arrived separately some of us needed a bit more time on the menu but the staff came back very quickly to push for our orders. With a big group ordering of course would take time but the staff was not patient and gave us black face. Her voice is also not friendly. The food was only ok, gyoza is very dry, summer rolls are better but it had to be taken back into the kitchen to cut into smaller sharing size, the beef pho soup is alright. One of the serving staff is particularly moody and pushy and not helpful. They seemed to be staff sufficiently but when we asked for a saucer it never arrived. Dish prices are reasonable but the bad service and below average food quality didn’t justify paying £20+ per person. Would not recommend this place.

I thought the food was excellent. The staff were polite and the staff were extremely accommodating as we were running late due to traffic. My only gripe would be that all the "additions", chilli, lime/lemon, bean sprouts and herbs were served in the actual bowl of pho not on the side, in a separate dish. We would return again! Booking is advisable, it was fully booked on the Thursday evening we went.

We booked weeks ago and one of our party arrive early and got seated downstairs. Then the rest of us arrived just after and an hour later they came over and told us we had to leave as the table was only booked for an hour as they'd got a large booking. We hadn't even finished our food and they gave us takeaway boxes. We had to leave still holding our half drunk beers and with unfinished food bundled into boxes. No one apologised it was not good service, would not recommend.

Small and homely vibe with a gorgeous classic pho. Staff are polite and efficient with a smile, atmosphere is positively social.

Absolutely delicious Pho and spring rolls! It was busy when we went for lunch here and we waited about 15 mins for a table however once sat the service was quick and the food came out quickly for how busy it was. I want to return and try everything on the menu! In the photo the nearest Pho is lemon grass chicken and the furthest is shredded chicken. The spring rolls are pork and prawn.

The best pho in Bristol so far, though it may change in the future as it’s not as good as the ones I had in Korea. Some menu items are often unavailable, but the alternatives have been very good as well. I’ve been more than five times but am too lazy to dig up older pictures.

Went again for the 5th time for anniversary, service, food and all was great. Don Pho is what I usually go for but I tried the new item - Pho Tai Lan where the beef is flash fried and with a slightly different broth. Fantastic! The table was unstable with no fault of any staff as it's the floor that's slightly uneven, resulting in spilling something which the staffs were profoundly apologetic and handled the situation extremely well.

The food here is divine and authentic, my favourites are the Bun Cha (as good as I had in Hanoi) and the Don Pho which has slow cooked beef short rib. Attached photos of some of my (many) trips to Viet Kitchen

I've now booked online twice to eat here only for them to ring me just before to say there was no availability. They clearly prioritize bookings of larger parties and then let others down. Bookings should be firm at the point in time they are made. I'll never be back.

Sat down, ordered an appetiser. Came within 2second (felt like it at least). Maya took a bite into it, and boom her main dish turned up. Was proper quick service with equally tasty food. Proper good value for money

Exceptionally good pho and bahn-mi. We tried the Pho Tái Lan, it was amazing, the broth was delicious, generous amount of protein and served lovely and hot. We also tried the Fat Pig Bahn-mi - another delicious one, crispy baguette, super fresh ingredients. Still drooling as I write this 😅

We had Vietnam style curries, which are lemonade rice chicken and beef brisket. We both liked the beef brisket more than the other one. It was our first with Vietnam style food

We went back tonight, 3 months after leaving a full 5 star review across the board and honestly had the WORST time. We arrived and they didn't have our booking, we were sat at a super wobbly table which was squished right up next to other tables, we had to keep moving whenever the waitresses went past with other peoples food, had our order taken, drinks delivered and after 40 minutes of waiting and seeing multiple tables people who arrived after us having their food delivered I asked about our food. They had lost our ticket. They said the kitchen would get our food done straight away. They walked over with our drinks order, saw we already had received (and finished) our drinks and just threw the new ones out. We were given our spring rolls which were not cooked, raw batter on the inside. After 20 more minutes we saw our exact order being given to several different tables (it was 2x Banh mi & chips, not a time consuming meal to make) our new ticket clearly hadn't been pushed up the queue to be cooked quickly, so we paid for our drinks and left, hungry and disappointed with this restaurant firmly removed from our "to go" list. Honestly mistakes happen, a ticket can get lost, but the way they dealt with it was appaling. It's a Saturday night so we have had to settle for Subway for dinner as it's now too late to get a table anywhere decent.

Disappointed. We booked a table for 8PM, arrived on time and told they were full and to come back twenty minutes later. Came back and managed to get seated at 20:30. Had to wait over 30 minutes to get drinks and our food didn’t arrive until 21:35 and then we were told while just finishing our food we needed to leave as they were closing. After a bit of back and forth we did manage to get a small amount of money of our bill. It’s such a shame as the food was really good and the staff were friendly but clearly were over booked.

Honestly one of the best viet restaurants in Bristol 😊😍 very authentic and delicious and the food always arrives super fast too! My husband and I always sits downstairs and they always come down to check on us to make sure we're okay 😊 food is amazing, service is great! Really love this place and highly recommend 🥰💕🇻🇳🍲

Great place for dinner! Cotham Hill is a vibrant road with great restaurants and this is definitely one of them ✨✨ First thing to keep in mind is that these portions are very generous so order with caution. They are also very delicious so you will want to finish everything 🤤 To share, we had the fried chicken bao buns - the chicken was very crispy. For the main we had a pork noodle bowl - the pork was marinated in a delicious sauce and the overall flavours were light and balanced. Healthy, tasty and fresh. We shared the tiramisu (big portion alert as well). Tiramisu was good, not too sweet, not too heavy. Worth trying if you are a tiramisu fan.

Quick turnaround, authentic cuisine

We visit Viet Kitchen every time we go to Bristol, this time we were unable to go in the evening - so, rather than miss out we went for a light lunch. We had Duck Bao Buns and Summer Rolls with a pot of green tea - so delicious - perfect. We will be back for a full meal next time we are in Bristol - every time we go the food is delicious - never disappoints.

Busy little place yet staff still noticed when drinks were low and looked after us so well. Broth flavoursome umami. Pork fresh and tender. Great value for money.

the fatty bits of the beef in the beef pho (13.5£) was delicious! huge bowl of noodles, very worth the price. perfectly matched with the sriracha. even though it is the same brand, i do think their other outlet at stokes craft is tastier. seems a bit inconsistent across branches but both are still above average

Some of the best Vietnamese food I’ve had in the UK. I was fortunate enough to spend a year living in Hanoi, and this restaurant is without question the best Bun Cha I’ve had outside of Hanoi. Great portion size with all the right trimmings and delicious broth. My only feedback on the bun cha is that it could have come with more fresh mint and coriander, otherwise perfect. Really friendly, quick service and very authentic Vietnamese style open kitchen. They have Hanoi and Saigon beer available as well as Vietnamese coffee. A real bristol gem, I’ll definitely be returning.

This was my second visit here to eat and definitely not the last. Friendly staff, quick service, busy and cool atmosphere, and lovely food. The bao starters and summer rolls were particularly good both times.

Food: I had the classic beef pho, fried chicken bao and iced Viet coffee. Coffee was good. Fried chicken had a good batter and the batter was fresh and crunchy. Chicken a bit dry. Bao texture was a bit gummy and wet for me. I prefer a fluffier texture. The beef pho was a bit disappointing unfortunately. The chilli, cilantro, Thai basil (?) were fresh and good, and noodles had good texture (and large portion! I shouldn't have ordered the baos as well) but I found the broth to be a bit disappointing. The beef was overcooked and chewy in my opinion, but they gave a good portion of it and they were nicely thin-sliced. Service: fairly friendly once I got their attention, but was slightly slow. I guess they only had about two waiters for more than 10 tables. The wait for food was reasonable. Atmosphere: good I think. Clean and nice decor. Comfortable seats, etc.

Other reviews highly rate the restaurant so perhaps it’s better to go in person. We got takeaway delivered, and it initially said it would take 40 minutes, but took an hour and a half. The food was decidedly mediocre. We got a vegan noodle bowl and a chicken noodle bowl. Very noodle-heavy and the tofu and spring rolls were soggy. I’m sure this is because we got takeaway on a Friday night and they were too busy to put care into our order, but I don’t think we’ll be back.

Authentic Vietnamese food in a great restaurant. Very Vietnamese feel to the atmosphere and service. Portion sizes are massive and delicious - only get a Pho unless it’s acting as your breakfast, lunch and dinner! Highly recommend

Tofu and mushroom pho was extremely plain and bland. Guacamole summer rolls didn’t have guac in them, overstuffed with rice noodles and tasteless. Just generally not enough fresh herbs or flavour. Staff were nice and friendly though, and clearly working very hard.

The first time here on Saturday fancied trying a different cuisine. Totally the right choice 👌 the food was amazing 👏 🤩 our table was right opposite the kitchen so we could see that everything was made fresh and was piping 🔥 when it arrived. The service was quick, although a constant stream of customers. The staff were welcoming. My husband and I shared the Vietnamese spring rolls so tasty 😋 the bun cha was full of flavour it was strange to have a mixture of both hot and cold food in the main and definitely different. Being a coffee lover, I tried their slow drip Vietnamese coffee ☕️ as seen in the picture. They use condensed milk, which is put in the cup first and then you stir the milk and ☕️ unique taste similar to a mocha but more of a richer taste I would definitely have it again. Prices were extremely reasonable and will definitely be returning.

With a recommendation from a friend, I went to Viet Kitchen for my first experience of Vietnamese food. The pho was full of flavour; the stock was beefy, and warming with spices of ginger and chilli; the noodles were soft, but not too soft and the beef was tender. The staff were friendly and service was fast. My partner and I left with very full, but satisfied stomachs. 🌸

I would have given zero if possible. Ordered 4 portions of Pho Beef and the meet quality was just disgusting. All shiny like it was covered in washing up liquid, full of fat lumps and extremely bad looking. After my complaint that this is not the quality I was hoping for, I was informed I’m not eligible to a refund! Are you series… this is way beyond imagination to serve this type of food and then not even take the customers feedback on board.

As a Bristol student my friends and I have come here on numerous occasions as we are extremely happy to spend our money in such an authentic and delicious place. All the starters are fantastic (not overpriced) and would recommend any bao or summer rolls as you will not be disappointed. For a lunch the Banh Mi is perfect and you will find nothing better (and for a good price) in Bristol !!

The atmosphere is wonderful, cosy and sweet decor with great music and seating. The food came in very good time with very good service. The food was absolutely incredible, genuinely by favourite meal I have ever had. I could not recommend this experience enough.

The restaurant was busy when we got there. So many takeaway, deliveries and a packed restaurant. We decided to take a seat outside and while we were the only one outside, the staff kept coming over to check on us. Staff was friendly and they kept apologising to us because the food was slow to serve due to the crowd but we didn’t mind it. The food was definitely worth the wait though! The spicy soup was so rich in flavour, the beef was tender and soft, the spiciness of the soup was balanced, not too spicy but enough to heat you up. The pork on the vermicelli salad was perfectly marinated, so soft and fragrant. Will definitely go back again.

The best Vietnamese food I've had in the UK! The portion sizes are huge and so flavourful!!

Really good quality food and a wide variety of different dishes. The Baos were particularly tasty. We did have some issues with service as apparently our ticket item had fallen down, although it took over an hour and half for them to realise despite us asking a few times for things like water. However, they were very apologetic and gave us some Baos on the house which was appreciated. I've friends who have been here before and it does seem like they are often one staff member short in terms of table servers. We did still have a good time and I look forward to coming again. Prices are also reasonable for the quality.

Reservation is recommended as this restaurant is always packed during Saturday evenings. We ordered classic pho, don pho, and bun thit nuong. The meat portions were generous, and the broth was flavorful. Anyone wanting a bowl of authentic vietnamese pho should look no further.

Fantastic Asian food. The Don Pho (like Sup Buntuk) is great, as good as you can get in Jakarta. Great value too. Nothing to complain about, a wonderful experience.

I don't understand how this place has such high ratings. In the banh mi I ordered, the "meat" was mostly fat, there was very little sauce, and the sandwich overall was very bland and tasted mostly of carrots. You can get more flavour and less fat at Subway. As for the atmosphere, the whole place looks like a warehouse with table. It didn't look clean, and it was definitely not well decorated. I will not be returning.

I came here a week ago with 2 friends of mine and we all loved the food. I went for the Ca rí Curry beef brisket and it was absolutely delicious!! I loved the beer too! The staff is nice, the place a bit small.

We have been here a few times now - delicious authentic food in generous portions, great atmosphere. Cramped tables but all goes to creating a cosy relaxed feel. Advise booking first as it is always busy with a queue outside the door!

Not happy… My bank account keeps draining because I can’t stop coming back! Coming from Vietnamese heritage myself, I can say the pho reminds me of home. Nothing quite like a hot, comforting bowl of pho on a cold, rainy day. Though, I’ll still be back in the summer!

AMAZING!!! We got here at 12:15 and it’s already packed. We got the beef pho, dry noodle and cow bao and it is amazing. The bao buns were so pillowy and soft, the filling was packed to the brim. The pho had so much meat its extremely great value for the amount of food that you get. Very balanced with the spice, lime and onions. The dry noodles had a lot of meat too, sweet, sour, and really tasty! The iced vietnamese coffee was amazing. The waitress was so nice to add more condensed milk into the coffee for us too.

BRILLIANT dinner. Such great Bao buns and summer rolls. I am a HUGE fan! Service was a bit slow so do not come starving (a good hour wait for food) but was a very lovely and central location. I would recommend sharing a few dishes between friends to try everything

Food is extraordinary, Their soups (pho) are very tasty. For example, spice of the classic beef pho is so balanced and very delicious, and meat inside is soft and tasty. Besides, it was gluten free..I will be trying their all food, and I recommend the same.
