I am cross with myself that I have never been before to this gorgeous place. Such a gem, very tasteful, beautiful tea, amazing toasted sandwich and lush freshly baked cakes. I had a really relaxing afternoon with my friends on the terrace in the sunshine and delicious food. Thankyou. Please can you let me have some of your china teacups as they are exquisite!!!!

The best afternoon tea I have had! Lovely location and staff made my daughter and myself feel very special Delicious mini quiche, finger sandwiches, scone with jam and cream and delicious cakes My nut allergy was perfectly catered for and what we couldn’t eat was boxed up to take home Would fully recommend- thank you !!

A first visit and it was good. The staff were very friendly and efficient, the coffee tasted good which is not always the case when you drink decaffeinated, there were two or three gluten free cake options and all the sandwiches were also available GF. The interior was very pleasant and well laid out and there was a lovely outdoor seating area for when the weather is warmer. Absolutely nothing to criticise and we will definitely be returning soon.

We popped in on the way back from Stamford and had an excellent light lunch with tea and cakes. The location is charming, and we were able to sit outside and enjoy the nice weather. Wonderful service!

A lovely pop in cafe for good food, service and a quick coffee. Pleasant staff and a menu with good quality ingredients. Cakes are quite special and a few changes to keep the surprises coming and a new experience each time.

We have been here a few times now for tea and cake or a toasted sandwich. We have always sat outside, where there is a very pleasant relaxed atmosphere with good quality outdoor furniture and views over the car park to the countryside. It is very quiet and peaceful. The food has always been good , tasty and value for money and service has also been good. The menu is small, but there are more cakes to be found inside under cloches which do not seem to be listed on the menu.

Lovely toastie for both of us, but when I asked if I could please order more drinks and cake I was told he’d be with us in a minute. 10 mins later I re reminded him, again this was ignored, so we paid and left. I understand people get busy, but it should have been acknowledged at least.

The service is friendly and efficient, the food arrived quite quickly. However although the food standard is good the toasty was rather small and expensive, the coffee was good but once again expensive. I hope the owners take these constructive criticisms on board as I would like to visit again

We stopped in for lunch today. One of us had a cheese and onion scone, fairly nice. I had one of their toasted sandwiches, there was probably enough filling for a quarter slice of bread, at £6.80 I felt this was very poor. I left feeling they were just trying to make as much money as possible at the expense of customer satisfaction, they are obviously not concerned about returning business and we will certainly not be returning. The selection off the menu was very limited.

We called in for lunch and was pretty disappointed really, over priced food with a very limited menu. Service was OK, but £6.80 for a sour dour sandwich with about 1p of rocket on the plate the size of a childs meal is too much. £2.60 for a cup of tea was a bit steep as well, I get they are trying to be upmarket but it is an expensive venue.

Very misleading! Huge signs outside saying dogs “always” welcome. Well it seems not If it’s raining, the bar person claims dogs are not welcome if it’s raining. It is a shame the bar man was so rude considering we had previously enjoyed a nice visit here.

Have visited the cafe many times. always had great a experience. We order cakes from time to time to have at home, always the best quality and great prices. next on the list is to have the afternoon tea which looks amazing. can not speak highly enough of the staff and the food. Dave Nutt.

My daughter and son-in-law held their wedding reception at Mam Liz's last night and it was just perfect. The food was superb, made by the incredibly skillful chef Nick who created a vegan Carribbean menu for us, where nearly everyone had seconds. The staff couldn't have been more attentive, and they even set aside a courtyard with games to entertain the kids...and adults throughout the evening. We simply couldn't have asked for more. Thank you to Liz and Michael for making us all have such a memorable night xx
