We dropped in here when passing through Enstone. What a delight we were welcomed by the friendly barman who said we could bring our little dog into the bar area. The service was first class. We felt very welcome. Then our food arrived my word what a treat piping hot beautifully presented generous portions and all at a reasonable price. I would recommend this pub/cafe and without doubt we will return. Thank you for making our lunchtime so pleasant.

Loved everything about it here, not a lot to dislike. Great food, quality, service, outdoor area, beer and at the right price. Can especially recommend steak night, (Thursday) and fish night (Friday) it’s a must visit for when your in the area or if you live local, I know I’d be there all the time. We are staying at the Heythrop Park Hotel and drive past this Bistro a few times. Decided to visit on a Wednesday afternoon for lunch. At first glance may look like a small pub from the outside but once you go inside it is big. Lots of seating a very good outdoor play area for the children and tables. On entry it is very clear this pub is fully set up for current situation with everything in place. We were welcomed with a warm and friendly greeting. The two ladies were very polite, the decor of this pub is very very kool something diffrent with class. The menu has a good selection both for adults and children. The portions are a good size and you will be full after your meal. I tried the Pork Chilli Pie which was delicious and the best I've had. Children all enjoyed their food and finished up everything. I'd highly recommend visiting this pub the food is delicious, customer service excellent and once again this is a kool pub. You won't be disappointed. 10/10 all round

We were having a "staycation" in nearby Chipping Norton and booked this cafe based on trip advisor reviews. The food was excellent and fantastic value as we used "eat out to help out". The cafe was organised with a 1 way system but we were seated with backs to the bar and were sometimes a little uncomfortable as there were quite a few gents drinking close to us, making any sort of social distancing impossible. Otherwise, recommended.

On our way back to midlands from New Forest. Ideal place to stop. Both hubby and I had the special Cod and Chips £8.50. Excellent value for money fish was white with lovely light batter and the chips were good also. Ordered mushy peas but served with garden peas but this was a minor gripe and didn’t detract from the meal. Venue interestingly decorated with art for sale and a motorcycle!

Wow! What a find. Using good old Trip Advisor we set course for our visit to Chipping Campden with a stop off along the way. This place appeared to have good ratings so we gave lunch a try. It was fabulous! Spicy wings for him, ham egg and chips for me. All arrived piping hot and very fresh. The eggs were particularly yummy! Sweet waitress who was polite and attentive without being overly intrusive. Nicely done. We decided there and then to stop by on the way home for breakfast at the end of the week. Again, not at all disappointed. Lovely log fire burning and smashing cooked breakfast in good time. (The restaurant is covered in eclectic art work which is all for sale. We have spotted a peice of work by an immensely talented pencil artist who will intend to look up very soon for a commission peice) This smashing little place is now firmly on our map! Thank you, and see you again soon.

Not sure where to start about the food quality or the taste. Children food was horrible and so the main meals. We had a salmon and chicken meals, both tasteless. The salad was not fresh and my son pizza looked like a cheap value meal that was heated in the oven. Chunky chips were full of oil and more like poor quality thick cut chips.Never again.

My husband and I heard about this place some time ago and have only just got around to going. Oh how I wish we had found it sooner. I have coeliac and most restaurants only offer a limited choice for this dietary condition, not the artyard cafe, not only where most of the items available to me with a little adjustment but I was told that the chef had gluten free flour and would make up a batter if I wanted fish and chips. This not only told me that their food is all freshly cooked, but that they care a great deal about all of their customers. I had the fish and chips, a rare treat for a coeliac, it was delicious. My husband enjoyed his too. Great food, great service, will go back again soon. Thank you Artyard Cafe, great job.

We visited after playing golf at the nearby Heythrop Park course, not being able to get any hot food there after our round. This is a quirky bistro / cafe, with a couple of motor bikes on display in the bar. The lady behind the bar was extremely friendly and accommodating, even cooking bacon sandwiches for two of our party, although they were not on the menu. We recently visited the Artyard Café for a family get together. We reserved a table for 14 and were seated in a very comfortable and easy to access table. Our meals and drinks were record correctly by the waitress who was polite and welcoming. Meals ordered ranged from Sunday Roast (pork, chicken and OMG the roast beef was 100%) and burgers. When the lunch was served, it was the only time the table was quiet!! I had a Sunday Roast (beef), it was accompanied by roast potatoes, amazing stuffing, parsnips, Yorkshire pudding, broccoli, carrots, cauliflower and roasted beetroot. There was so much meat on everyone's plate that we were able to share and taste - added bonus. For desert some of us ordered chocolate brownie (the best, so rich and tasty), fruit crumble and ice-cream. Once we had finished our dinner/deserts and coffee we enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant with the local art work displayed. We were not rushed from our table which made a lovely change and were checked upon often to make sure we were comfortable or in need of more food or drink.

Four of us met up for a meal and drinks. Someone has already commented on the strange way of having to collect your food, but having collected it, we found that two of the meals were not the correct ones, or at least not as described, and the Surf and Turf (medium rare) I ordered was more of a slice of beef well done, with a couple of shrimps on top. The side of onoin rings amounted to two onion rings, and it was served with chunky chips and not the fries I had ordered. When we recieved the bill, it had comments on it that we had asked for, but which had not been delivered, and it was quite a substantial cost for the meal, much more than I expected. Drinks, mainly soft ones, were also very expensive.

My partner and I had been out for a long spin on our motorbike. One daughter was at work and the other hanging out with a friend so we had a 'pass'. Stopped for fuel in Chipping Norton and decided we were having our tea out. Had had good reports of the Artyard from a couple of colleagues at work, so a quick Google on the forecourt (away from the pumps) established that they were open and doing food. Arrived, parked up, entered, oredered a couple of drinks, grabbed a menu and was promptly advised that there was roast beef and roast pork available. Nice surprise as this was about 6pm and was kinda expecting all the roasts to have gone. Couldn't choose between beef or pork so we were told we could have both!!! Food arrived not long after ordering, plates fully loaded with decent cuts of both meats, plenty of roast potatoes, a couple of Yorkishires and a separate bowl of veg (red cabbage, carrots, broccoli etc). The least I could do was clear the plate. Rather fine cup of coffee to end a superb Sunday roast lunch at tea time!!!! Nice one.

I came here for a Sunday Morning Brunch and I have to admit that this is the best breakfast I've had in a very long time. It was a full hearty breakfast with high quality meat and cooked very well. The service was equally as good and so was the coffee. I would strongly reccomend that you should visit here because it really is that good. Overall spot on! See you again soon.

I met a friend here for an early lunch. We arrived a little before 12pm so we're told we could order from the breakfast menu straightaway, or wait until 12 for the lunch menu. We decided on the lunch menu. I had the beef burger and my friend had the chicken burger. Both were delicious, as were the chips and coleslaw. The staff were friendly and very attentive. Most enjoyable.

I have visited a few times and there is a good choice on the menu and changing art on the walls. The food overall is very good, and real ale on draft. The staff are always friendly and it is in a good location. One thing, I'm not sure on the chips. I think they are oven chips and spoil the food. Sweet potato fries are worth the extra.

One word for everything about this place.....WOW! The food, the environment, the people......if it really wasn't for this place, I'm sure my visit to the Cotswolds would be sadly disappointing! My boyfriend and I booked 2 nights at Heythrop Park which is only up the road from this place.....and because that was a massive let down accommodation wise.....I most certainly chose not to dine there but was only looking for a short cab ride away also. Trip Advisor directed us to this place due to its location and excellent reviews, I must admit on first impressions I did think it wasn't the 'fine dining' I had in mind but how pleasantly wrong I was because once in, I was drawn to the quirkiness of this building with its paintings on the wall and its impressive clean art palette lay out. We were greeted by the most friendliest of staff and chose a lovely table for two with nice comfy red chairs.....the menu was extensive and the most reasonably priced I've ever seen! It was a real joy to sit there and take in its wonderful surroundings. All paintings hung are local artists and all for sell unlike the motorbike by the French doors which my better half would of been quite happy to buy!! We ordered a lovely bottle of wine and I waited for my starter which was the creamy garlic and tarragon mushrooms....and God was I not disappointed! The flavour was like a taste explosion in my mouth, the fresh tarragon cutting through the mild creaminess of this dish was a culinary delight..... My partner had the pate on toast and we both shared each dish with great delight. The proprietor John even went to the kitchen to write down all the ingredients for my mushroom dish as I was so enthralled with it! I opted for the BBQ chicken with sweet potato fries and my partner had the homemade beef burger as our mains and once again silence prevailed amongst us as we devoured both these beautiful dishes. My chicken had the sweet sticky smokiness expected with BBQ and was really a palette pleaser and the burger was the best homemade one ever tasted......you would not be disappointed with both of these dishes although be warned......portions are the biggest I've ever seen so please don't eat days before?!!! All dishes were presented beautifully, clean white plates and elegant tall wine glasses and clearly the freshest locally produced ingredients are used here. Everybody working here was fantastic, I cannot fault one thing about this superb little find.....even right down to the toilets which were uniquely styled and perfectly clean! Oh yes, I can actually.......why can't you offer accommodation???!!!We wanted desserts but was so full we really couldn't manage it so asked John whether he could recommend us a cab firm back to Heythrop.......he went above and beyond and dropped us off there personally himself! The next morning we returned for breakfast and my partner had the set breakfast which consisted of back bacon, 2 poached eggs, 2 pork sausages, beans and toast and I had the scrambled eggs on toast.......once again, it didn't fail to deliver on size and flavour....and set us up for a long day of sightseeing in the Cotswolds. We were planning on heading elsewhere to eat that PM truthfully but after a wander around, I discovered they had a superb separate bar area at the back with comfy leather sofas and after eyeing up there specials board.....we both agreed that we would be silly to go elsewhere. We booked another table for 2......John had even offered to pick us up but we felt too cheeky to take him up on that offer again! This time I had the goats cheese tartlet special starter followed by a stroganoff (another special) and my boyfriend had the mushrooms and chilli beef as his main....what can I say? Except WOW! We were both in foodie heaven with it all once again.....and this time we attempted a dessert, a sticky toffee pudding as recommended and apparently that was the smallest piece......but it was HUGE!!! Yes we shared it. Yes it was out of this world and yes I'm so very pleased this wonderful little find served us so well for 2 days and nights, I honestly don't know how we could of ever lived without it! We sat in the bar to sample some of the vast collections of gin he had on offer and it was the most wonderful end to a perfect night. The locals were interesting, warm and friendly as were all the staff and we were made to feel so welcome ( unlike the stiff rude staff at Heythrop), the Artyard Cafe has been an absolute blessing to our stay here and I cannot recommend it enough. I hope it lives long and prospers because it so deserves to due to the incredible time and devotion from everybody, right down to the chefs clear passion for cooking, the wonderful use of fresh ingredients, the friendly faces and the many laughs from the owner John. Yes we went back for breakfast the following morning before our journey home. Surely when someone dines in a place as many times as we did it can only mean one thing...........WOW! Thank you Artyard Cafe for having us, John for the lifts home even though we were pretty merry, to the chefs/kitchen staff for the truly amazing food we ate and to everybody there that made our stay most welcome. We will most certainly return without a doubt, but first...... where's that gym membership!!

We stopped off for early lunch on our way back home from Stow on the Wold, so we would miss the rush hour traffic on the M25.There is a good choice of menu and come with large servings my wife chose the Scampi while I chose the Beef and Ale pie this is what I would call really good pub grub cooked very well along with a well kept beer made for a good satisfying hearty lunch.

I’ve attended this pub twice, both at private functions. The pub is beautiful, albeit short but for such an old building I hardly think that’s a worthy issue, just take notice of the duck signs! The staff are excellent, provide a quality service, and are most welcoming. The food provided at the functions was impeccable. It was well prepared, well presented, and tasted fantastic. Luke, the manager, is a class act. That is all that needs to be said. A friendly man, and an excellent face for this brilliant pub. Will visit again in the future for dinner and drinks, and will be delighted to enjoy it as much as I have on both visits. 10/10

Always a great atmosphere, friendly welcome, great food and varied menu. The pizzas are amazing. We’ve been for Sunday roast before as it’s also incredible. Refreshing to enjoy a family run pub.
