Dropped in for a pint and pub snacks - really friendly and big garden with a few bits for the kids to play on. Pool table looked immaculate

Clean, relaxed, great garden. They do a great meal at a bargain price. You get a real sense they want to provide value for money. They always deliver on that premise!

My favourite pub by far in the whole village. Always a welcoming atmosphere, the live bands are fantastic and a great night. The food is always delicious and well catered for my families abundance of allergies and intolerances. Highly, highly recommend this pub if you want a cosy, friendly atmosphere with amazing pub grub. My wife and I had a rare night off from family life. Had a lovely meal and ended up here. At first it was great. A couple of beers and a game of pool and then we were kicked out. I fully understand how that sounds like our fault but no, it was not. Just people who didn’t want us there. Very sad. Do not go unless you live 20 yards away.

Great atmosphere, great service, fabulous food! A beautiful outside area as well as cosy and comfy inside. The staff are brilliant and I think they have done amazingly over these recent years.

Lovely gluten free food with a great choice for coeliacs and vegans alike. The food is both homemade and homegrown and it makes such a difference to the taste and quality, the portion sizes were also very generous. Definitely recommend visiting if you’re in the area!

Sunday roast is brilliant, choice of small medium and large. All freshly prepared.

Had a roast here yesterday 5/02/23 as always never fail it was absolutely delicious all fresh veg loved the Yorkshire pudding, vegetables were done nicely still with a little crunch which I love. Lamb shank was perfect all in all it was an amazing Sunday roast. Well done to Mike & Claire I will be coming back for more! Thanks again....... Very welcoming pub love the people who run the place always have time for everyone. They have made such an effort since they've been here, and Claire does the most amazing food too.

Despite the kitchen being closed they prepared us a delicious vegetarian chilli and a meal for my daughter. We could not have wished for a warmer welcome. We had a great evening thank you.

Didn't serve food after 7pm on a Saturday night,Music seriously loud,not children friendly.

We have been to the pub a few times for weeknight drinks. On a Saturday, last minute, they were able to serve us delicious food for lunch. Other pubs in the are did not advertise that they had no staff for food, but the Hare and Hounds were the most informative and friendly. We look forward to going back again. The garden is lovely. It is both tranquil for those without children, and accommodating for those who do (great children's play area) Highly recommend.

This is a lovely pub with good food - but spoiled by the strong smell of tobacco smoke indoors because smokers are too near to the back entrance! We're unlikely to go back because of this.

Have had drinks in the pub plenty of times before but had out first roast today, and was very impressed, would highly recommend

Seemed friendly enough but I went on a quiet day until a worker decided to switch on a power tool which grated on my ears. Otherwise ok. Garden was very attractive and a pleasant place to sit and imbibe a drink.

Really quaint little pub with amazing food and lovely staff. Dogs free to run around outside with water provided on a lovely hot sunny day like today and lots of choice. Pool table and sports on the TV and children's play area out the back with slide and swing. Would definitely come back - especially for those amazing chips!

Excellent local pub with a very friendly atmosphere and superb, well-priced food. We have been here with a couple of friends and with 35 or so runners. Great experience each time. Thoroughly recommended.

A "proper pub", with a nice feel to it. I meet up with an old friend there for lunch every so often, so already knew its food was good. Just took wife and daughter there for a meal and they loved the unpretentious atmosphere and the brilliant quality and presentation of the cooking. She now resents me for having regarded it just as a great boys-day -out pub and not having taken her there long before now !

A Very Cozy Village Pub, Always Made Feel Welcome Here, The Landlord And Lady Are Very Nice, You Have To Try There Pizza's There Loaded With Toppings And Have A Beautiful Crunchy Base, They Host A Local Darts,Pool And Crib Team Which Is Very Good Fun, I Have Eaten Here A Few Times Now And Can Say The Food Is Superb Proper Pub Grub! I Must Say There Roast Dinners Are Amazing The Coliflower Cheese And The Most Mouthwatering Gravy, Keep Up The Good Work! The Ales Are Fantastic Also! Always Trying The New Ones When On The Pumps 👍

I've been drinking in the hare and hounds for over 15 years and I can say the current landlords have not only turned around the fortunes of the pub but turned the kitchen into one that serves outstanding food and I do believe the only one in the area with a five star hygiene rating.

Friendly pub and the landlord and landlady do an amazing job and always look after the customers. The also do events for charity. I would give more stars if I could but I can definitely say this is a A* pub in so many different ways. If you pop in don’t forget to say hello the Evie the pub dog! Keep up the good work guys!
