Amazing bakes and cakes, a very luxurious treat and so much more than a standard cream tea! And we didn't need any dinner!! The tearoom itself is no longer open at this address though so call ahead to make use of an ordering system with delivery of your cream teas to you. Excellent service!

We were recommended to visit Harbour Tea Rooms for afternoon tea so we're disappointed to hear the tea rooms were closed. However we were thrilled to hear that Helen now offers a takeaway afternoon teas. We were very happy to receive our tea boxes and even happier to eat our delicious teas. Thank you, Helen!

We happened to stumble across this place while looking for some lunch and what a perfect find it was. It was quite quiet when we arrived but soon filled up and rightly so! We both went for the half afternoon tea (think that was the name) which was a sandwich, cinnamon toast, scone and tea/coffee. You also get other little bits with it and wow was it good! The sandwiches were amazing, the scones to die for and just all in all it was perfect and also really good value for money. You get a lot of food!! We are only visiting for a few days but have already said we will be back before we leave. Highly recommend to anyone and we will be telling anyone we know who is coming to the area to visit.

Popped in for an early lunch. Excellent Covid arrangements. Friendly staff. I had the soup of the day, this was well flavoured and came with doorstep bread. My companion had a bacon sandwich - also on substantial bread. A pleasant our overlooking the harbour.

My husband and I had the afternoon tea - can't remember what is was called, but it was the biggest one on the menu as we made sure we both had a good appetite! My husband had earl grey tea and I went for a lovely ginger and rose tea from Lydia's recommendation - both loose leaf. Chose the cheese & chutney and the coronation chicken sandwiches, one lemon and a fruit scone, then the cakes were lemon drizzle and bakewell tart. It was all really delicious - everything was fresh to order and beautifully presented. Had to take our cakes home as we had no room to finish them! One of the best scones I have ever tasted, came with a zingy lemon curd, strawberry jam and plenty of clotted cream. Customer service was also excellent, Lydia couldn't have done any more to make us feel welcome.

Had a fabulous afternoon cream tea at one of Paignton’s hidden treasures! Lovely decor inside on the harbour theme, coupled with nice touches such as attractive cup and saucers. The ladies inside are very friendly (even entertained a conversation about Devon scones vs Cornwall scones!) As for the food and drink itself, the mini cream tea is a must as the scones are fresh and come with plenty of jam and cream! Will come back when we’re next in Paignton!

This is my second visit to this amazing gem of a place. We last visited in September 2019 and the service this time was just as amazing as the last time. They had COVID secure measures in place this time, and I was impressed with the safety precautions in place. Staff were chatty, friendly, and really helpful. The cream teas were out of this world, and I would highly recommend. Cannot wait to come back to Paignton to try this lovely place again.

The actual food was good. The fact that we had to wait 20 minutes for 2 scoops of ice cream and two scones even when it wasn't busy was mind boggling. And the menu has a whole range of smoothies, but then they said they only had mango? Why would you even serve them in the first place then?..

Very pleasant light and airy atmosphere, a happy welcoming staff, and a basic but more than adequate menu of food and drink prepared and served well. The sandwiches and scones are amazingly good.

Fabulous find on our day trip to Paignton. So happy to find a genuine independent, local business that so deserves to be supported in these challenging times. Felt safe and well looked after. Fantastic home cooked lunch.

We called in for a coffee and to look at the menu with the possibility of eating there one evening during our stay in Paignton. We were invited to look around and choose a table but unfortunately the only table we chose was already booked for that evening and the restaurant was in fact fully booked. There is a one way system in place and everywhere was spotlessly clean with sanitisers available for use throughout the building. We felt absolutely safe and the staff made us very welcome while observing the new rules. Yes we will go back another time.

Really nice independent cafe. Lovely atmosphere inside and seating out the front. The sweet cinnamon treat bagel was very tasty and my flat white was crafted really well (I'm pretty fussy when it comes to coffee). If you are looking for great coffee and food this place is definitely worth a visit.

We nearly missed you. What ravishing reviews! As is often the case had been meaning to visit this fab little café but it's taken a message on Facebook to learn you're moving on. Excellent toasties today, generous fillings and delicious. Great coffee. Clearly supported by locals and regulars. Doggy friendly and thankfully no plastic plants! That alone is worth a star. Lovely team. Best wishes for the future. 🇬🇧🇳🇿

What a wonderful place. My dog and I were made to feel extremely welcome by Kerry and Freddi. Great coffee, fabulous homemade scones and cakes. Breakfasts are generous and reasonably priced. You can see why the lovely locals flock to this cafe. There is a real sense of community here. Don't miss it if you're in Paignton! 🌻
