Just finished the best cod and chips ever, plus my wife had an excellent curry sauce. It was a last minute call in near closing time however still had a very fiendly service.

Amazing food and the wait time was quick. When they run out of fish or pies, etc they quickly restock and the quality of the food is spectacular. The fish is full of flavour and a nice crispy texture on the outside meanwhile the pies especially the steak and kidney pie which is too much to describe. The only way to describe it is to try it. The portions you receive for the money is well spent and highly recommend going there. The only thing that is a little strange is the open and closing times, (have a look above this comment). Overall 9.5/10

Best chippy for miles. Food is tasty every time. Piping hot and great portions. We drive from Eldene as no longer in Bassett, just for their food. I love the fact, fish isn't greasy nor full of skin. Love that they do curry sauce too. Prin and Jamie are so friendly as are staff.

Chips were alright and the scampi was okay too. The fish was a bit mushy and tasted quite odd - a shame as I had heard it was the best chip shop in the area. I would personally try a different one instead.

Place was bright and clean, greeted by Smiley happy staff, an cheap prices. £5 for large chips and jumbo battered sausage. Also had chips left over in the bag, wouldn't all fit on my plate, picture below. Overall great ! Will be definitely visiting again 👍🏻

Great food and good portion sizes

Have not been to the Harbour for some time but I do love their Cod and Chips, always very well cooked to order so is always hot. The owner's have given the shop a makeover and it looks really fresh and clean, I will always go here for my dinner as and when I feel like a treat.

Large portions of quality fish and chips. Only issue is difficult to find parking at times.

Best fish and chips I've had that isn't on the coast

Tried this place for the first time today, food was piping hot and fresh. Portion sizes were very good, and a fiver for a large portion of chips and a jumbo battered sausage is really good value for the quality you get. The servers were polite, smiley and friendly, and the speed of service was really prompt as well. I wish they were open a little longer, but really that's all I can nitpick about. I'll definitely be going again, looking forward to trying out some other things on the menu.

I popped in Friday lunch time for the first time and certainly not the last. The food was excellent and I look forward to returning again. Great service as well from the staff. I didn't have to return anything at all.

Worst chips I've had in a long time. Rock hard and so dry. Not what I expected after reading rave reviews. Threw the lot away. Total waste of money, won't be going back! Such a disappointment.

Simply the Very Best and Freshest, nicest tasting Fish and Chips within at least a 50 mile radius, probably further.....! The Owners and Staff are lovely people and very friendly. It is also Immaculately Clean! If you do try it, you will certainly, return many times!!

Bought fish and chips for the four of us as our local is closed as they are on holiday. Not great. Fish were stuck together, no greaseproof paper to keep them from sticking and really, really oily. Broke apart when we tried to remove it from the packaging to the plates (what’s wrong with regular chip paper)? Chips were not cooked through so although a massive portion most went in the bin. Disappointed. Wouldn’t go back.

The best fish and chips I've had in my life. If you want chicken go as early as possible . He won't cook from frozen and it's rare to find a chippy with such high standards. Always busy and the chips are just right!! Not to dry and never greasy. As a chef of over 22 years it's the best chip shop I've been to in my life!!! The batter is fluffy but crisp and the cod is MASSIVE #getyousomeofthat Owners are super friendly and welcoming .

Good quality fish & chip shop just needs to be open later. Plus stop refusing to cook what the customers want after all your either open or closed. Several times had too leave empty handed & go elsewhere.

They make very tasty fish and chips. The quantity of chips are massive so we now order 2 cod and one portion of chips which we find is just right. Very popular and would highly recommend.
