I came here last year and I have to admit they had significant improvement, My gyros portion was super tasty and massive for a decent price

Nice food & service again today. My App once again did not work. My 33% off did not work. It was at 8 stamps but changed back to one with no discount. This has happened to me previously.🙃

Food was great as was the company and shots, 4 for £7.00 as apposed to 6.50 for a double Jamesons. Hic! Had the normal mixed grill and it was more than ample my son and daughter in law went large and went extra on the steak! I did however get the mixed starter and shared it with my many minions grandchildren and the rest of out group of 13 lol

Después de una experiencia no tan buena hace unos meses volvimos para darle otra oportunidad , debo decir que fue excelente , ocho de nosotros estábamos realmente impresionados el servicio era muy bueno las comidas salieron todas al mismo tiempo y todos coincidieron en que la comida era de primera clase , bien hecho el bar y el personal de cocina

Vino a Haddon Hall el viernes con amigos para comer un bocado rápido. La comida era genial, no había quejas en ese sentido, pero el pub estaba tan frío, era intolerable, había gente sentada en sus abrigos mientras comíamos, habíamos planeado quedarnos a tomar más bebidas, pero no podíamos justificar gastar dinero mientras estábamos sentados allí, frío, simplemente no era un ambiente agradable o acogedor en absoluto, que no es lo que quieres en un pub en invierno, lo que es una pena teniendo en cuenta que las decoraciones navideñas son tan agradables y lo hacen parecer acogedor desde el exterior, no tanto por dentro.

Went Today with a group of friends from work for a Christmas lunch together. I ordered Yorkshire pudding for starters, Traditional Turkey dinner for mains and lemon meringue sundee for desert. Yorkshire pudding starters was Lovely, Yorkshire pudding filled with shredded turkey and gravy 👍 Based on the starters had high hopes for mains but unfortunately lt was Awful, so disappointed! Processed Sandwich Turkey cooked until it was curled up & like rubber, & Frozen veg that took Al Dante to the extreme, couldn't eat it. Roast potatoes were OK as was the stuffing but unfortunately roast potato and stuffing not enough to fill me up!! For desert I ordered lemon meringue sundee. Received what looked and tasted like raspberry sundee (which I don't like) with a bit of lemon meringue plopped on top ??? Not what I expected at all. Left their hungry and very disappointed.

Food was good and came out quickly until desserts they took 40 minutes but it was a busy Tuesday night I got scampi chips and peas I got about a teaspoon of peas my wife and kids ate all there's so nobody complained 😁 would return

Como un habitual que califica la comida aquí muy alto era Muy pobre esta noche , en una noche lluviosa terrible sólo había seis personas en el área de comer que pedimos nuestras comidas la comida de mi esposa salió ella estaba a la mitad de ella cuando el mío llegó a la mesa no bueno ? ? Mi hamburguesa de pollo era incomestible de hecho mi esposa la puso en una servilleta para el zorro que visita nuestro jardín todas las noches , espero que el zorro esté bien , se lo mencioné al servidor que se disculpó (no por su culpa) pero seguramente debería haber conseguido que un supervisor viniera a nuestra mesa , posiblemente podría entender esto si estuviera lleno pero en el momento de seis personas en la sala éramos los únicos que pedimos comida

fue usando un vale. Tristemente decepcionado. Mi entrante de gambas secas y ahogadas con pan rallado demasiado cocido. Filete de pollo del plato principal en la sartén nada como fotos. Verduras principalmente cebollas grasientas y el pollo gomoso. No hay nada bueno en la comida. A este nivel de comida hubiera sido mejor ir a Wetherspoons

Always love our visits to the Haddon Hall! Drinks and food always great! Service is always second to none. Maria on the bar is superb. Always a big smile to greet you and nothing is too much trouble for her. Keep up the good work, looking forward to our next visit! 🙂

I had mega mixed grill and it was perfect it has a such Good atmosphere the service amazing and food was excellent would definitely revisit

Food came completely burned and they said it would take a long time to replace it so I just sat there while the rest of my party ate. Then we had to wait even longer for the manager to come over and give me a refund (which was less than I paid but at this point I just wanted to be out of there)

Got a delivery and IV never been so disappointed...12 chips with the fish n chips peas like bullets and cold corn on the cob ...... No tartar sauce either never again

Very popular with the locals and that's what I look for .

Value food for the price..long wait for the food

Came on Friday night after changing to the Wilton Arms, however haddon have well upped their game. Massive shout out to Jess she has the best customer service I have seen in a very long time. Her service is on point, it was extremely busy, but jess took it in her stride. Took time out chatting to my friends little girl and literally didn't let how busy it was show at all. Above and beyond at every opportunity. The food was the best I have had at a Sizzler, it was amazing. So good. I'll be back again soon

Fantastic, well run pub. Felt welcomed from the moment we arrived, pleasant atmosphere. Food was delicious, and great value. Staff were polite and caring. Jess - you are a star! Thank you for making us feel extra special on our visit. You are a credit to The Haddon Hall.

Came in yesterday for food and drinks with my partner. Was served by a lovely lady named Amanda. It was our first time here so was abit unsure what to order etc but she gave us her time explained the menu and recommended the mega mixed grill. And wow! It was amazing, cooked to perfection ! Plates were cleared promptly and deserts and drinks offered by Amanda we chose to just have drinks which again were perfect. Service was amazing and made our visit more enjoyable. Will defo return.

Went in yesterday for food, it was very busy but the staff handled it very well. We ordered a burger mixed grill, food came pretty quick and was lovely! Staff was lovely too especially the nice young lady called Amanda (the one with a bad leg) who showed us to our table, took our order and made sure we was ok. Yesterday was my 1st time visiting but definitely won't be the last, this place was worth the travel

Fantastic food, service brilliant loves it

Have been before, and enjoyed the food. My sister came down for a night, so we went for food and ended up staying for karaoke and chatted with a couple of locals we met whilst there. The couple were lovely, as well as the staff, just hope I didn't empty the place when I sang! Black & Gold by Sam Sparro for the win! Enjoyed the evening, may brave a night on my own next time I'm off on a Saturday :)

Been here a few times and it's a shame some little things let the place down. The positives are that the prices and menu selection are great. Also food is also served quite quickly. You do get good value and ordering via the app was easy. Most of our food was yummy and portions are generous. However common items such as chips and fudge cake are regularly out of stock. The skin on fries and curly chips were overcooked. Our mains arrived and we had to remind them to bring our drinks over that we ordered 15 minutes earlier. You have to get your own cutlery, napkins and annoying sachet sauces from a counter as they are not placed on the table. All the cutlery on the shelf was dirty which I told a member of staff about and they took the cutlery away. I would visit again due to the cheapness but I wish they would improve on the above mentioned

The drinks were OK table service not. The food so disappointing. We had a starter 5 minutes later the main meal came. We refused it as we had only just received the starter. Later the main meal came it had obviously been kept warm.

Was not happy that we booked a table and this table was not free for us and we then had to wait for another table, then to be moved again on to another table which felt like we was all over. Also we was not made aware off what food was off the menu and then when I went to order we was told some items was not available and then I had to go back to the other parties and re check the menu

Waited over an hour, same table ordered separately but after each order within seconds, 1st and 2nd meal arrived after 30 minutes, 3rd and 4th 5th nearly 30min after, final one was well over an hour, I ordered the 2nd 3rd and 6th ones that came separately. My chicken gyro looked like bacon strips, the fish and Chips wasn't really nice. Not a nice environment, no napkins provided. The staff on the defensive when I asked about orders, I was told it's because there was 3 separate orders, same table ??? Nowhere to park either. Never again Coming home from my home in Canada to surprise friends was a big let down.

Change in menu and change of chef made a big difference to the meal. Hunters chicken, first meal came and the chicken was still pink. Second lot came and chicken tasted of nothing. Had a horrible slimey texture. Certainly never tasted like any chicken I had before. Got a refund for the meal but just eating chips and some peas left me hungry and disappointed

Just had a meal here must be the worst pub meal I have ever had. Had lasagna had pasta as a bottom layer must have been on a hot plate all day as it was burnt. Husband had a tandoori chicken sizzler tasted like cardboard. Will not be going back.

Me and friend went yesterday and we ordered the mix grill and the e chicken tikka with rice both were fresh and amazing compliments to the new chef. Lovely woman as well we both will be back.

Great food and atmosphere. Had a sizzle platter and it was more than enough food and very flavoursome. We have had a birthday celebration and everyone enjoyed their food.

I don’t know where to start we went yesterday Mother’s Day which was also my grandson’s birthday r party was 8 adults and 3 children we had booked r table there was 2 barmaids on and 1 man bringing food out the bar staff was rushed off there feet r food came out at all different times mine and my husbands being the last out which we waited 2 hours for and was stone cold we got there at 5 and we didn’t get r food till 7.40 we r local to the area and have been here hundreds of times however the last couple of times have been bad but yesterday was the worst it’s been and we will never go here again it was the worst experience ever I couldn’t wait to get out of there I would just like to say though the staff themselves was doing the best they could and I’m sure they had the worst shift as it was just mayhem u was waiting 30 mins just to get a drink I could go on and on but I think I’ve covered the basic points it’s sad as this used to be a nice pub for food but has gone to the dogs and we will never ever go there again

Quick service,friendly staff, pub grub that's not overpriced , cheap night off from cooking /single parenting 2 teenagers Haddon hall makes it possible to have a spontaneous night off/dosent break the bank !

We especially enjoy the quiz on the Thursday nights ( Geography is not the quiz setters strong point). The food is good value for Money as well.

Last time I visited was around 4 years ago and I said never again after such a bad experience. But after my partner convinced me I give it a go the other day. Must be new staff, place had been freshly decorated, small wait on food but didn't mind as the food was so good. Not one issue, staff was very polite and helpful couldn't do enough for us. We will be back thankyou highly recommend now

Called in on a Sunday afternoon. The owner served me. She gave me the impression she couldn’t be bothered and was very unpleasant and unprofessional. I had to change our order twice as what we wanted on the menu wasn’t available. She never gave us the option to honour our differences just stood there like she was waiting for a bus until I chose differently. We’re were a family of 5. 4 meals came out at the same time and the 5th never arrived till we had finished. What I ordered isn’t what we received but by this time I couldn’t even be bothered arguing. What was the point in asking if we had allergies at all as our food had the complete opposite as to what I actually asked for. We weren’t offered any sauces, had no cutlery and never got asked if everything was ok with our meals. To top it off the meals were bland. We came on recommendation. I wouldnt recommend and definitely won’t be returning. Gutted that I spent £60

I've been here lots times before and not been disappointed however this time it was awful. Ordered 4 meals , 3 came, and some chips and sauce ( which was for another table). I had to then order my meal and it arrived after everyone else had finished eating. The steak i ordered medium to well done came rare and very very chewy, I got a take out box so at least the dog will be happy ... staff don't know if there coming or going. I won't be going back which I'm disappointed about because we usually really enjoy it.

Great food with a relaxed atmosphere. Free car park on-site. Very reasonably priced! The staff were super friendly, even gave my little boy a selection box for Christmas which was an added bonus. Thank you!

We come a long way from st Helens , to visit here when we are near the area for shopping. We normally have a good experience. However yesterday visit has put us off returning again. Firstly we saw the young waitress with long blonde hair who is normally pleasant I'm a voul mood , we had a slight wait for food and when it did come it was threw at us , no mention of do you need any sauce ? Do you know where cutlery is ? Was everything ok . My husband's mixed grill was missing mushrooms and my scampi wasn't cooked as crispy as it normally is. We had pre-ordered dessert and after 30 mins of finishing our main meal we still hadn't been back to neither our plates removed. We noticed a lady at the bar who we didn't see come to any tables or see anyone cleaning empty plates of tables. My husband in the end asked could we have our desserts she just said I will tell someone . About 10 mins later our mint sundae was thrown at us and the waitress said enjoy!! I litteraly caught mine we had no spoons , no mint choc chip ice-cream was just a scoop of vanilla with some chocolate sauce , a few mint munchies and a bit of cream . The last time I had a sundae it was lovely this wasn't worth the money we had paid the meal came too £43.43 and we left with our dinner plates and our desert plates all still on the table , nobody checked on us nobody cared . Sadly we won't return this pub again . It doesn't take much to keep your customers happy we have spent a lot of money over the last 12 months eating here but no more.

Unfortunately it wasn’t the best of experiences When we arrived the bar staff was in the back on her mobile phone. We were seated, and when we went back to the bar to order our food the bar staff was serving someone else and walked off into the back again without looking to see if anyone else was there to be served and went straight onto her mobile phone taking selfies we had to call her out to serve us The food wasn’t the best we had 2, sizzling meals neither came out sizzling the veg with the lemon chicken was under cooked a was so chewy they were inedible the chicken was dry, the steak meal again the onions and mushrooms were uncooked couldn’t eat them. The steak to be fair was good but the rest was not good at all We were not asked how our meals were no one approached us at all, so we left without anyone coming to us This was our 1st time at this place and unfortunately it was not a very good experience To improve we would have liked our to be sizzling as it should have been and the vegetables cooked All we ourselves are very passionate about staff on mobile phones personal we believe they should be left in their bags or locker and used only on breaks not during work hours it looks very unprofessional for the business and not nice every time they stop serving they put their hands in their pockets and check their phone or go off to go on it So many hours of work are lost whilst staff are busy on their phones

Love this place. The Mixed Grill is absolutely amazing - literally comes out still sizzling 😍! Hunters chicken is lovely & flavourism is on point. Curry’s are great too. Chicken wrap comes with about 5 chips but other then that 10/10

I booked a table but it was taken, so I asked for assistance, soon got sorted.

The pub was really busy at 4pm today, Saturday 29th July. We had Natchos which could have done with being served slightly warmer. I also received chips instead of the rice that I had ordered with my sizzler. I didn't ask for the nachos to be heated up or ask for my chips to be changed to rice, as the majority of the work outside the kitchen was being done by a young girl called Lily. [ I did ask her name]. She was serving food, clearing plates, also clearing glasses and wiping tables. She was pleasant and polite at all times. Nobody else helped with any of these tasks in the two hours we were in the pub. We also had a jerk chicken sizzler and a burger which were very nice. We will return and hopefully next time there will be more staff on duty to work along Lily.

Beige and boiled! Unfinishable, called in after their refurb. Need new kitchen staff because oh my it’s probably the best chewy beige meal I have ever had. Mixed grill & surf and turf Save your cash buy a pint and get a subway

Popped in for fish and chips but disappointing again fryer has been off and on for weeks so ordered rump steak only to be disappointed again the steak was chewy, not to worry took it home for the dog!!

I visited The Haddon Hall on 13/7/23 with my son who has Autism and very serious food allergies. I did book online to pre warn. The staff were amazing. Very friendly and they went through all my son's allergies , so far as to ring me in the morning to discuss his allergies and assure me that they would do their best to ensure his food would be prepared separate to reduce risk of cross contamination. They even gave him a new unopened bottle of Ketchup to put his mind at ease. Honestly , they couldn't do enough for him. The food was lovely , very fresh and tasty. We really enjoyed our visit. We are not local to the area , but if we are in the area again , we will pop in. 10/10

Had a really good time here. The staff are amazing and food was served hot and so nice. Desserts are absolutely amazing apple and blackberry pie to die for. I'm new to the area and will be using this place alot more. Thank you so much for looking after me and my guest. Also the young waitress was just a doll xx

been going to haddon hall for a long time but when we visited today noticed significant changes.we always have the mixed grill so ordered as usual.when it came it seemed a lot smaller potion than normal and something was missing YES NO EGG.iasked the waitress weres my egg to be told mixed grills no longer have egg was head office decision.well ive never had a mixed grill anywhere that didnt include egg.it may seem insignificant to many but wont be ordering again and neither will friends and family.

Popped in last night, Sunday 23rd April after a rubbish restaurant meal and didn't want to give them anymore money so we thought we'd give the Haddon Hall a try, we hadn't been there since the refurb because, well basically it was rubbish. This time was totally different, nice bar staff and possibly manager. It was nice and quiet so we could have a laugh without raising our voices, In 30 mins we managed to get through a few drinks and shots, someone even came round and said 5 more minutes if you want another, I love that service. I'm tight and love saving my 10% so I ordered my vouchers, I prefer to use my card as an authorisation but was told to buy a voucher and save what was left that was the only bad thing. We'll pop in for food soon as it used to be terrible and never anything in stock, hopefully this has changed. See you soon and thanks.

Called in here with family from the area, the pub was cold and the staff seemed disinterested in us being in. You had to go to the bar to order food which I wouldn’t mind if you got acknowledged!

As this pub is local to us Six of us went to the haddon pub for a birthday celebration ,the twins ate before us and enjoyed a lovely chicken burger but did say they could had done with a few more chips on their plate , we ordered later on and the food was lovely and so was the service , all in all a great night out friendly and efficient staff and went home with our belly’s full at a reasonable price .
