Amazing food, lovely staff, pretty garden and very nice interior and ambience. Good vegetarian range and not hurried at all.

Amazing food very original and delicious and we had the vegetarian options but all the family loved all the food. We went for early dinner and had the huge treat of seeing the dairy cows pass by at around 6.30pm making the evening extra special! The ambiance, service, drinks and food were all fabulous and cannot wait to return when we are next down near St Ives. The drive alone from St Ives past Zennor to the pub is very special.

Yet another delicious dinner at The Gurnards Head. I had a tomato soup to start which had an amazing taste because of the addition of cardamom served with homemade bread, followed by simply cooked fish in breadcrumbs. So fresh. Naughty but nice... sticky toffee pudding. A good selection of well priced wines. We drank Pouilly Fume. Really good. Great food with attentive friendly service. Our room was just great. Immaculate and so spacious with a log burner too. The following morning before eating the really good breakfast we walked down to The Gurnards Head itself. The waves crashing on to the rocks. Truly magical.

Incredible food and drink in a really funky venue with such friendly staff. Highly recommend this place. Third year we've been there in the summer.

One word. AMAZING. The drinks, the food, the staff and overall this place is off the charts. We’ve eaten in some world renowned venues but this place is literally something else. 5 star+++. We will be back.

Amazing Sunday lunch with our dog too. I’d booked, as it was was very busy even in October and we were not disappointed. Excellent roast and puddings. The staff are lovely and friendly and we will definitely return.

I went with family, for Sunday lunch. We had been for a very wet walk & arrived later than we intended. We were greeted with a warm welcome. We went on to have a really lovely lunch - it was warm, comfortable & with all the artwork, interesting. The food was excellent. The service was just right - friendly & efficient. I would definitely visit again.

Amazing food. All meals were fantastic and the children’s food was of an excellent quality. Vegetarians very well catered for; the soup and aubergine schnitzel were great! We found the staff really friendly and welcoming (apart from one miserable one who let the side down). All our questions were answered (husband wanted to know how the cut of beef was cooked). Looking forward to a return visit.

The food is very good but you need to be aware that the portions are rather small and service was very slow even though the pub was not particularly busy. I think it took over an hour after sitting down (at our booked time) and about 45 minutes after ordering for our starters to arrive.

Located next to a cliff in beautiful Zennor, Gurnards Head is everything you want from a country pub and more. Great food and drinks with fantastic views. Ps they also have some interesting whiskies if that's your drink of choice.

The Emperors clothes - thinks it’s something it’s not. Great location and then basic gloomy interior with 1970’s artex ceiling! And one of us was looking toward the kitchen - you can see it through a window and you really don’t want to see an area with yellowed paint and just so in need of decoration. We travelled here from St Ives having passed it on the bus on a previous holiday. Fabulous lunch. Very good choices for vegetarians. Fixed lunch menu available. Good walk down to the coastal path behind the pub.

We visited the restaurant for lunch today, the food was lovely especially the hake dish. The staff were great, my only gripe is the large number of dogs allowed in the restaurant. Unfortunately we were made to feel we were not dog lovers, but to me this is a restaurant not a kennels.

We enjoyed a superb dinner here. Scampi monkfish starter was tasty and the fish was moist. We last ate here pre-Covid and my memory may be letting me down but I think at that time there was tempura monkfish as a starter which was marginally better. Curry dip was perfect - not too hot but not bland. Spot on. Our pork main courses were beautifully cooked and so tasty. Lovely piece of meat cooked with great skill. Gorgeous dish. To finish there was a panna cota which was a lovely end to the meal. All in all a memorable meal. Service was first class. Our server was friendly and efficient. The atmosphere in the restaurant was totally professional but laid-back and relaxed.

The Gunnard’s Head is a fantastic pub in Treen. Great food and very friendly staff made this is a great lunch spot during our walk on the South West Coastal path. Definitely book ahead in peak times.

Food was absolutely incredible. Homemade bread to start. I had a vegan broccoli starter and it was the best starter I’ve eaten for a long time. The place for main with samphire and brown butter shrimp was amazing. Portion sizes perfect. Wine menu brilliant and staff were just lovely! What a lucky find! Will most definitely be back.

We had a 3 course meal for 2 people, 1 veggie and 1 fish. The food was really outstanding, fresh and tasty ingredients cooked with great attention. I particularly liked the "Charred green beans, tahini & lemon, Israeli couscous, coriander, pomegranate", I wish I could have it again!
