First time here, best Curry we've had in UK well done guys!

Best Nepalese restaurant for miles, the food is excellent and the menu is comprehensive and has something for everyone even that friend or relative that doesn’t like curry. I can’t recommend this place highly enough. The staff are very friendly and the service is excellent. Can’t wait until my next visit

Amazing experience nice staff specially the manager with pony tail food is devine momo, chutney, chhoila , Kathmandu curry , butter roti and not to miss the Gurkha beer 🍺 amazing perfect to go with food highly recommended

The best curry I have had in years ,lamb gurkhali,lamb railway special rice, all food was fantastic .Good service no rip off service charge.looking forward to my next visit already .

I would highly recommend Gurkha, we have come as a large group several times now and the food and service is always excellent. The food is tasty, authentic Indian and not greasy or oily. We have eaten at a lot of Indian restaurants before the naan here is the best we've had.

I love curry and have never thrown one away... Until now! Since Velevety Ginger has been closed we've been doing the rounds to try and find a new curry house, with little success so far. This place just made bottom of the list! Maybe their Nepalese dishes are edible but I would really think twice before ordering an Indian from here. The Dhansak and Tikka Masala were like nothing I've ever tasted before. The Dhansak was so lemony and bland and the Tikka Masala literally tasted like tomato soup! I don't even know how you could class them as curry, in all honesty. The poppadoms were also completely crushed and at £1 a shot I just don't think that's good enough. Honestly it's the worst curry I've ever eaten, I'm afraid to say. The delivery driver was friendly though...

So tell first of all the food was great and the service was too. All the staff were attentive as well as helpfull in every way and also they make sure we were comfortable as well . And let’s not forget the owner they are one of the nicest person I know. So give it a try and I am sure you will not regret it.

I was recommended the Gurkha by some friends who regularly visit this restaurant. Wow that's probably the best curry I've ever eaten. The food is amazing. Fresh and full of flavours that I've never experienced. The Gurkha staff were so nice and friendly and very attentive. The menu is vast with so much to offer. I will certainly be returning to this wonderful establishment again and I would recommend this very highly...

Ordered a delivery so can't comment on the atmosphere. As for the food I can definitely comment and say there rifle curry is one of the best I've tried in the UK. It truly does taste of sweet and sour with a lovely warmth to it. Highly recommended

Sunday buffet was good, but I assume the main menu is better. The momos starter were the highlight of the meal . Cocktails were good too

Excellent food! We went as a group of 14 and there was plenty of room for us. The staff were patient and polite. The service was fine. I would say the food is the highlight. I would definitely recommend the goat cur.... full of flavor. The drinks options were a little limited. But still had some good beer on draught, shame the IPA wasn't available. This is our ‘go to’ Nepalese/Curry restaurant. First of all, the food is amazing. Freshly produced, well presented and full of flavour What ever dish you order you can be guaranteed it won’t disappoint (they even do pizza for that member of your party that hasn’t yet found the delights of exotic spices and sauces). The service is always top notch and they can’t do enough to make sure you have a great evening out. I’m glad to say it’s becoming more and more popular as words spreads about how good it is so make sure you book. It’s easy to find, plenty of parking and if you have too many cobras, there’s a hotel above the restaurant.

We ate here for the first time and will definitely return. Lots of dishes to choose from. This is not your run if the mill curry house. It has many dishes that you don't often see, as it has a proud Nepalese heritage. The food was absolutely amazing, lovely spices, great taste. The staff are very attentive. I didn't know a lot of the dishes on the menu, but the staff took time to explain. A great variety of beers and wine, too. The venue is well spaced out, light and airy with fantastic Himalayan pictures, etc. It is a stand-alone building off the A22 and has plenty of parking. Everything is on one level for the restaurant, so it should be great for people of all physical abilities. Highly recommended.

Very good food, nice ambience and great service. Prices are quite reasonable and portions are well placed compared to other similarly priced restaurants. We had ordered vegetarian dishes in Nepali sauces, which were great. Not the standard Bengali taste that you get in every second Indian restaurant in the name of North Indian food. Here it was authentic Nepali taste, which was much closer to the North Indian.

Me and my partner visited the gurkah this evening as soon as we walked in we felt very welcome the food was amazing and the staff were very attentive. We will definitely be visiting again very soon 👌 thank you to all the staff 🙂would highly recommend

I hadn't tried Nepalese food, but it was amazing. We had a prawn puree to start. Which was very flavoursome. I had lamb tawa, not too spicy but very tasty and 'melt in the mouth' with garlic rice 😋 my husband had a goat curry, equally fabulous, again spicy but not too much. Staff were friendly and helpful.

My family and I have been here on numerous occasions and have not had 1 bad meal! Service is great, food is amazing and is all in all a great place to eat out! THE BEST NEPALESE/CURRY HOUSE I refuse to go anywhere else for one!

I loved everything about The Gurkha! The staff are so friendly and accommodating, and the food is honestly incredible! I would come back just for the peshwari naan. Definitely worth every penny! An amazing, unique restaurant <3

Superb restaurant, would certainly go back here

Starters was beautiful very light and tasty could of eat it ten times over. Chicken biriyani was delicious and wife had chicken chow mien which was delicious as well . My boy ordered a chicken madras which was mega hot 🔥 I had to swap my biriyani with him as it was too hot for him but also for me as well. I thought I was the spice king but it knock me on my arse. I will be going back 1 for the tasty food and 2 to take on the chicken madras again .

Beware of the food dyes they use! I ate the tandoori chicken and my fingernails are still bright orange a day later despite scrubbing. Must be awful for your teeth as well and can't be healthy to have artificial additives. Absolutely unnecessary! It's a shame because the food tastes good (although overpriced).

The food here is perfect. Delicious. Hot. Great portion sizes. The staff are welcoming and happy to help with selections. Prices are average but the quality and authenticity are way above your regular standards. Dhansak was my favourite curry I’ve ever had and this is a return visit which shows standards are consistent. Well done. I cannot wait to visit again when im staying in Felbridge.

We booked this restaurant whilst we were staying at the Crowne plaza and wow. Can i just say wow? From the moment we walked in we felt welcome, the food was delicious, the vibes were immaculate. The Gurkha restaurant had left the best impressions with me on Sunday. The Friendliness of the hosts, good food, lovely presentation, extensive wine list, and excellent dessert. Although there is a relaxed and calm atmosphere, the personnel is also very cordial. You can tell that making the clients happy is their first concern. The food is very good, with some traditional Nepali dishes and some modern twists, and it is definitely worth the money.It would be nice to return here frequently.

Amazing authentic Nepalese dishes. We had Choila, Goat on the bone, Tawa Lamb, Garlic Naan and Gurkha beer. The lamb dishes were phenomenal

We stopped off at the Gurkha to take advantage of the lunchtime offer which is great value (£17 a head). We were really impressed by the quality of the food, having chosen from the Nepalese part of the menu. We highly recommend this restaurant and will be returning again to enjoy this food with other friends. the service from Rajesh was excellent and attentive. The items we had were as follows: SHEEK KEBAB 9/10 CHICKEN / LAMB MOMO 8/10 MANGO CURRY (flavoured mild and creamy curry with Chicken) 9/10 TAWA LAMB 10/10 OKRA side dish 9/10 KEEMA NAAN 10/10 Coffee was good too!

First visit to this restaurant and will be going back again! The food was very tasty and didn’t leave you feeling heavy. Nice venue with plenty of space, good for dinner parties. The atmosphere was great, it was Tuesday when we went and couldn’t believe how many people showed up. Lastly, the staff - so so friendly and accommodating. Before we paid they offered us a drink on the house. Good food, good people.

Oh my, the food here is authentic, fresh and tasty. I haven't tasted Nepalese food so out outside of Nepal. The ambience is amazing with photos of Namche Bazaar and Durbar Square on the walls. The staff are friendly, attentive and efficient. Try the goat curry, it is simply divine with the meat falling off the bone, and the Buhtan starter - who knew offal could taste so good. I wish I lived closer so I could go more often - I eould make this a regular stop.

This is my go to curry restaurant at the moment. The Nepalese options are really good, Railway Curry mild and flavourful, Tawa Lamb is a bit more spicy and rich. I drive a 22 mile round trip, passing 4 or 5 other Indian restaurants to eat here, highly recommend it.

My husband and I had lunch today at the Gurkha Woodcock Inn and would say it’s the best meal out we have had for quite sometime. As we walked in we were very impressed with the appearance and it felt very clean. We had the lunch menu which at £15.95pp thought was excellent value for quality food. We had starter, main and coffee and all was excellent and definitely will be going again. The staff were friendly too.
