Came here first time. Great food & staff.

I visit my parents in Southport yearly from the states, and it's always worth a bus trip or drive to see Karen and Turtle at the Guild. Amazing atmosphere, great food and always a warm welcome. Really enjoy the fun events such as quiz night or karaokee, highly recommend!

Been here with my mate for a drink and food. Impressed me, cheap prices, good food, nice furniture, got to watch Leeds United lose to Portsmouth. All in all, great place. 10/10 Recommend.

Your stay is made special in every way.

1st but not last time February 2025 Visiting my child at university and they suggested this premises for lunch. Standard "pub grub" menu. Lots of special offers to tempt you, most on a day by day basis. Food good and promptly cooked by Gemma in the kitchen. Ordered via the app and delivered by Rusty to.our table in a very timely manner. This was then the start of probably an hour of half of good banter between ourselves and Rusty who gave as good as he got. An excellent front of house member of staff who was welcoming and friendly. Attentive without being over bearing. All in all, as in the title, 1st visit but won't be our last. 👏👏👏👏👏

Fantastic pub good selection of beers.

Stopped for a quick bite to eat on a work break with 2 of my colleagues. Never had fish and chips before as I always thought I don't like fish.... Well turns out I loved the fish here!! The chips mushy peas and pot of amazing curry were on point aswel. Will definitely return! Atmosphere was brilliant. Bar man was friendly 😄 and Bar lady was friendly 😍

As a Greene King expert, I would like to say how impressed I was with this particular branch. I’m not easily impressed by Greene kings due to visiting their place of business three times a week. This visit was like no other. As soon as I walked in, I was welcomed warmly by staff. The place was clean and the conversation very good. I was impressed by the chic decor and atmosphere. The grub was great too. When it was time to depart with it, I took a trip to the toilet. What a delight! The toilets were spotless. I can eat off the toilet floor it was that good. One thing I will say about this place. Come as customers, leave as family.

Came to the Guild in Fri17th Jan for late lunch the gentle ehi was cleaning the tableswas telling us about the offers and recommended Fridays deal so we tried it and it was absolutely lovely well worth it and was on special offer too would highly recommend taking a visit here has the staff are so polite and the pub is lovely too

A few of my friends & I went for a meal for my birthday. The food was absolutely delicious, the staff were so lovely & funny & the atmosphere was amazing! Also loved fussing the doggies 🥰

I arrived a little ahead of time for a table for 6 booked for lunch at 13:00. I was greeted as I entered, to be honest the place was basically empty, but I was still treated with engagement & enthusiasm, the staff made me feel like they were serving a regular, rather than a newcomer, they made me feel right-at-home in an instance. I didn't catch the name of either, but the staff behind the bar were a lady & gentleman of 20ish years & both were lovely. I was shown my table & when the rest of my group arrived & we'd ordered our lunch, which was very specific as 2 of them have food-specific preferences, the kitchen staff even came out to the table just to confirm that the specific instructions had been sent through correctly. The food was, of course to the very high standard I've come to expect of Green King eateries & the whole experience was very pleasent indeed. The bar staff came to check all was ok, but as the specifically requested dishes came out the kitchen staff then came out to confirm they'd provided the dish as specified, which I thought was nice. I opted for the Hunters Chicken Jacket Potato & was soo impressed I suggested to my party all Gastro-eateries ought to have it on their menus too. The rest of my party were pleased with their food, no complaints at all, & from this lot that's quite an acheivement.

A huge thankyou to all staff behind the bar for making us feel so welcome last night celebrating my granddaughters 18th birthday.

Been in twice recently with my children and grandchildren. Food, service and atmosphere is fantastic. Well done to the staff. Merry Christmas

great , cozy place, lovely staff

I visit the guild most weeks to meet my son. The food is always very reasonable and good quality. Today we had a 2 course Christmas Dinner for £13. I can honestly say that it was the best one I've had in a pub. There was 4 choices of fresh veg, turkey and all the trimmings. The table had been set and we even had crackers. All by the fire. The service was amazing. Well done all round. Would highly recommend.

I was able to obtain a small plated meal, as I'm not able to eat a normal sized meal and even had ice cream afterwards. Very accommodating and understanding of my medical condition. Thank you 😊

Not been for a while but visited today after being recommended for the burger deal.....I wasn't disappointed. Excellent bar staff turtle & rusty very friendly & welcoming!! Food was fantastic the burger & plenty of it...nice surroundings.. Overall a fabulous experience...I highly recommend as will be returning again.

First visit to The Guild and took advantage of the Wednesday deal. A burger with all the trimmings, lots of onion rings and fries for £5. It was superb. A lovely family friendly pub and excellent customer service from both the guys on duty. I think their names are Rusty and Turtle. Definitely worth a visit!

Me and my daughter have been coming to the guild for a few weeks now for burger weds food amazing and the staff are excellent always feel.welcome

Went recently on a Sunday afternoon. I opted for Sunday roast lunch, to be told they had run out of chicken by 1pm! The alternative was beef, which I don't eat. I chose a vegetarian dish instead, It was well presented and I had no complaints. The pub was busy for a Sunday afternoon. My main issue was the noise. Various TVs around the pub, not all playing the same channel and volume FAR TOO LOUD. Staff need to be more aware of the environment. This was a Sunday, not a Saturday night. Pubs, and especially those who serve food, should be relaxing and enjoyable, unfortunately this wasn't. I can't commit to going back in the future.

Bang for buck this place is spot on. Discounts with the footy app and belting Sunday lunches. 2 4 £12:99.

Always good food and a brilliant time at the guild. Our server (not sure of his name but had a shirt that said Rusty and had a lanyard on) did a great job during the busy service.

Fabulous pub, kid friendly, didn't eat but what I saw looked great. The bar manager was fantastic (Karen I think!!), service brilliant. Shame I was only passing through.

Stopped by for lunch with daughter. Breakfast roll with a choice of 3 fillings all in - delicious. Best combo I've eaten & tasted in years. Good value. Rusty & bar staff so attentive. Gemma the Chef earns her title of being a Chef. A cut above bar food I've eaten lately. Smashing.

I've been going to this place for years ,even though I live in Fleetwood,but it's always my go to when visiting Preston. The staff are friendly ,the food is superb and quick , the toilets are also spotless. Even better it is dog friendly to the point that you can order food for the dogs. Great place 😁

Food is lovely and menu is cheap, you can also get a deal if they is two of you, it’s only £12 for two, atmosphere is good and been few times when it’s nice and quiet( how I like it) definitely recommend , it’s kid friendly and pet friendly too

Nice place. The weather was decent, so we sat outside. We only had nibbles, which were tasty but expensive. Overall, it was a nice place to relax on a Sunday afternoon.

Still good food and drinks, and reasonable prices

A visit after packing up Daughters Uni flat nearby. What a cracking pub. I love the Greene King chain, you know what you are getting. The friendliness of the staff here especially Rusty was second to none. A credit to the company,not everyone is cut out to work with the public but his happy to please attitude was refreshing. A nice sunny day meant we could sit outside and watch the F1 (happy kids) while having dinner, 5 meals all went down a treat. Sunday dinners, burger, chipshop platter, chicken all spot on, again lovely staff. Fabulous beer garden, well looked after. If we are down this way again, (graduation is in July, will try and pop in) Keep up the good work.

As a family we have started visiting regularly. Every time we have been greeted and been treat with Excellent service and the food is moreish. Highly reccomend

Came today, have been a few times previously and decided to have Sunday Lunch, which was very good.The staff in here are fantastic, nothing is too much trouble for them. You as a Company should be really proud of them. Would definitely recommend and return.

Really helpful and knowledgeable barstaff

Our first visit to The Guild in a long while. We went to have an evening meal. The food was really good, well cooked, and a nice size portion. The service was excellent and they checked everything was ok for us. I would really recommend a visit.

Only had a couple of drinks here but lady behind bar was very helpful and was nice to sit in the sun and watch the world go by.

Nice pub nice staff foods good with good prices and a staff member was even nice enough to remove a wasp from near are table on the window would come again and recommend it shout out to the wasp man with the green hair legend

Good food and great atmosphere. We have been there a few times for family gatherings and enjoy pub grub with great offers (two meals for the price of one!). Lovely beer garden weather permitting. Car park a bit small though.

It's okay for a pub. Unfortunately, didn't realise the football was on and our table was right in the middle of it. Would have been nice if the table for people who were eating was set aside. Food was good. Got served quick too

First time in The Guild pub and we had a couple of their build your own burgers and it was absolutely brilliant🍔value for money and the staff where really helpful,we had bought a Groupon voucher and the staff sorted us out and it was service with a smile😁I would highly recommend it and will 100% be back the next time we're in Preston🥳

The Guild provides a great selection of ales and beers on tap along with the usual wines and spirits. The food is very good but I've marked it down as my favourite dish, the steak pudding, is no longer available :( The staff are great and happy to help with any requests, the pub is quite traditional and maintains a vibrant Preston atmosphere.

Cheap and cheerful, good service, foods not to bad and a decent atmosphere

I called beforehand to book a table for my family, I was told they had availability so we drove down. When we arrived we were basically ignored and when I got up to order I was told I had to wait 1 hour for food. Considering the kids had to be out by 8:00 pm we got up and left. I thought the service was really poor.

Went on a works Christmas meal. The food and service were first-rate! Many thanks to all concerned!

Superb venue spacious. Good quality beers.Probably the best pint in Preston. Just a shame its a bit of a trek from the centre.

Lovely, friendly staff. Great atmosphere. Two of our party couldn't have the meals they wanted because they had run out. The food was overall nice, but nothing special, except for the side salad, which was excellent.

The lovely Christmas decorations along with the most friendly welcome from a lady called Karen was so warming. I brought my mother for a meal and was not disappointed 1 bit. The quality of food, warmth and speed it all came was perfect. Cannot fault this place and most certainly will be returning. 10/10 👌🏼🍴🍻 🥪 🥙

Great pub to watch rugby. Great atmosphere. Busy so service a bit slow. Didn't eat so can't comment on the food. The food I did see being served looked like typical pub fare and looked good.

I had an amazing brunch experience at The Guild Pub on our first day of class. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was welcoming. The pub's location was convenient, and the staff were friendly and attentive. It was the perfect way to start our class journey, and I would highly recommend The Guild Pub for a great brunch!

Great pub with a great atmosphere, plenty of screens to watch sport. Great staff. Never had food but looks good and plenty empty plates being cleared away.

We visited tonight on our way home the food took a while to arrive but when it did the food was nice, the only unfortunate thing was the amount of small flies around our table which as you can imagine was very annoying and off-putting, ( we had a lightbulb above our table 21 which attracted the flies) I tried to say to a member of staff but found this difficult as there seemed to be only a few members of staff working and they also seemed to be too busy at the time to speak to about the situation so don't know if we will be back

I can’t say enough good things about this place! Whenever anyone visits me at uni I bring them here! Cheap drinks and food but both very very nice! Students get 20% off too. The staff are amazing! All the bar and serving staff are very friendly and give recommendations if you’re not sure on your drinks. It’s a very friendly place, you can even bring your dog! Me and my friends go here at least a couple of times a week. Cannot recommend enough :)

1st time here. This establishment is trying to be all things to all people - family friendly & students & sports. In my experience students and sports fans dont want children around. Personally, I liked it. Sound system was at a comfortable level, friendly welcoming staff, fairly clean. My husband wasn't as keen, felt the atmosphere was flat. The seating is laid out for serving food, hence non of the tables and chairs were in a good position to see the screens. The screens were high, so meant looking up, yet people queueing at the bar still managed to obstruct them. There was only 3 staff on, so long waits at the bar. The food was hit and miss. We ordered the sharing platter and loaded chips so we could compare directly with the adelphi. The chips were delicious- hot, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside and more importantly did not go floppy. Better than adelphi. The sharing platter was poor. Alot of frozen, beige, deep fried, breadcrumbed stuff dumped on a plate. Much worse than adelphi.
