The Grill Shack in Croydon

this is a gem of a cafe/restaurant very relaxed and friendly and great value for money it's a mixture of caribbean and british food i normally have the jerk chicken and my wife the meatballs it's always great . what i really like is that most jerk places are more take away based where this is a great place to chill out with a nice coffee or a cold beer .

Best jerk chicken in south London. Hands down. Service was impeccable too

Came here on a Friday night. It was absolutely buzzing. Loved the vibe, the music, and the cocktails. There is so much to try on the food list. We went for non taco mains, and they were exceptional, but we then saw the people next to us, and their tacos looked divine. Will be coming again for sure. Please visit this delightful small business.

Had brunch today, @ TB Croydon, only one other table was seated. The place was empty. We ordered food & cocktails. One set of cocktails arrived, had to ask about the other two. Our meals arrived, but the side didn’t, asked to cancel the side as it hadn’t arrived well into the main course. No apology. Cocktails were good once received. The veg burger, was horrid, hard, tasteless, more of a icelands type of processed serving, I was totally disappointed. My guest loved her meal. Staff stood around either on their phones or popping outside for a fag or to speak on the phone. The place was empty, so was taken back why the service was so totally rubbish. We have had so many great brunches @ TB, but this time would be our last time. Customer service was extremely poor, the waiter who brought us our first drinks, didn’t say anything. Usually the vibe is upbeat, polite & attentive. Not today. Sorry TB, one less customer giving our custom to you in future. Sat for ages to get the attention of staff so we could pay the bill, way too engrossed on their phones. A very disappointing afternoon, paying for a rubbish experience & below standard food.

Had This restaurant cater for my son’s 16th birthday party and all I can say is 10/10! I’ve eaten there before so I knew the food was nice, BUT the catering was exceptional. Delivered early and the food was packaged well. I tasted a bit of the jerk and coleslaw before my guests arrived and nearly ate the whole tray. The food was a hit with the guests and a made his birthday a topic of discussion. Will definitely be using them again.
