Was supposed to open at 12 no sign of life and no one answered the phone great service .

Had lunch. It was 'ok' but nothing more.

Excellent staff. Helpful and friendly. Shout out the brilliant Geordie who always looks after us. Had the bao buns which were amazing! Better than the Dumpling Library!

Call every few weeks to the Bar for tea. Without exception the food has been fantastic both in terms of quality and portion size. Service is great as well. Well worth a visit.

No atmosphere, well used furniture, cold, food at best average.

Just called in meeting up briefly Christmas Eve with family for a drink, only there around half an hour, had to sit at the bar as we were only having a drink but we were asked five times one staff member after another within about 45 seconds to a minute if we wanted another drink, so we left as we felt we were being pushed out - don’t think it’s on my list to return any time soon!

Just back from a magical afternoon in the Four Winds, lunch for 4 adults and 4 children. Food was superb and portions generous. Staff were incredible and attentive. Santa was also in attendance, greeting the kids and giving them small gifts after they had eaten their dinners. Such a fantastic family spot, will be back and will recommend to all!

We were seated quickly & got the drinks we ordered straight away. We then had to wait for half an hour before one of the busy waiting staff came to take our food order. The food arrived & it was very good. I had a seafood chowder packed with fish which I really enjoyed. My wife had a salad which was also very good.

I really enjoy the four winds. Food is good, it's comfortable, the staff friendly and it has a nice outdoor area for the summer. It's an especially good place to go to watch live sport and their speed quiz mid week is good craic too.

Terry and his team were amazing as per usual ! My wife and i went to watch the Ireland match and also had a fantastic dinner ! couldn’t recommend the Seafood Pie enough !!! Service from James, Seamus, Conor etc.. was flawless.. Great atmosphere, great seats , atmosphere and all round fab service 👍👏👍👏

This is my second excellent experience at the Four Winds, this time was for my son's 18th Birthday Party for a group of family and friends of about 60 in the Private Function Room upstairs. Right from the booking a few months before, James was exceptionally helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The food on the night was as good I expected, portions were generous. The staff were extremely helpful when I was decorating the room, nothing was to much trouble. Jordan ,Seamus and James could not have been anymore helpful. They were always checking that I was satisfied with all arrangements. The bar staff on the night Daniel, Noah and Eoin, were polite and efficient. I would strongly recommend the Four Winds for a private family function. It was a memorable night!!

Modern surroundings, excellent food, large portions & good value. Staff were friendly and helpful. Belly pork, pan roasted cod and honey chilli chicken were really tasty! Would recommend!!

Filthy floor , disgusting place ..useless lazy staff horrible dirty seating areas ..dont honour gift vouchers..walked out went to a much more welcoming establishment !!! Dont visit here unless you want to feel depressed !!!!!

Booked a table in bar, very busy on arrival with football showing how we shown straight to our table. Drinks & food order taken. Food was good & starters & mains were relatively quick. After the football ended the bar cleared out but despite being much quieter the service deteriorated significantly. Our finished mains were left on the table for ages. We had to go to the bar to ask about the kids ice cream- we were then asked to find out what flavours they wanted and go back to the bar to let them know!?!? They then brought out the kids ice cream. We had to then ask them to clear our main meal plates . We were not offered the dessert menu for the adults or tea/ coffee. Wouldn’t be in a rush back

Cold coffee, meal was perfect. However, table service was not the best. Bar staff didn't know what wines they had in front of them. Had asked for glasses 3 separate occasions ended up getting them myself. Even though the 1st time I asked the bar man, the response was that we would be bringing them to your table. A bug was doing back stroke in jug of water. I wasn't a happy pup.

Lovely place for a Sunday meal out with the whole family. Super comfortable seats with plenty of space. The service was amazing and we got seated and served in no time. They had crayons and colouring in sorted to keep the kids occupied. The food came out super fast and tasted unbelievable! The desserts where massive and also tasted amazing. The staff here where supberb and we were well looked after. Couldn't recommend this place enough.

Went to get a meal in the pub food was fresh and very nice has a quality pub atmosphere not a particularly cheap place but the price was definitely reasonable

We are regulars at FW. Loyal customers but no more. Today we nipped in for a wick bite. We waited 45 mins for food to arrive even though restaurant almost empty. Despite concerns at a recent order of fish pie my husband ordered his long term favourite. It is topped with mash as one would expect. But digging deeper he discovered that at least half of the pie’s filling was composed of half’s of small baby potatoes. We brought our concerns to the restaurant manager who sympathised. Ten minutes later he arrived with a small plate of fish and other odds and ends. We sent it back. It was not what we ordered or wanted. When our bill came we were charged £19 for a tiny fish pie which was at least 85 per cent spud. We will register our disgust by eating elsewhere

4 of us went for lunch, although table was booked no table ready. Seemed to wait ages for a drink and even longer for our food. Food not great at all, triple cooked chips tasted fishy yet we weren't having fish. Southwest sauce watery and some of the chicken was hard. This place used to be great, definitely won't be back! Left and went to Secret Garden for coffee, tea and cake!

There were 18 of us so service was slow, very slow. Room was uncomfortably hot. Food was very good.

This is getting worse and worser. Reduced menu, reduced drinks menu, kitchen closing super early. What's the point. The venue is nice, the food used to be good. What a shame.I'm not gonna go there anymore.

Have been a regular for a while but last few times the food has gone seriously down hill not sure if they've changed chef but it's went from consistently good to consistently bad

Top quality food and atmosphere

This is a very handily located place to meet people unfamiliar with Belfast as well as doing old style bistro meals. Plenty of parking and easy to provide directions to if coming in post Sprucefield. It was quiet but that allows for chat in comfort and privacy. We both had the specials and my sister loved the fish pie, plenty of fish as well as topped with creamy mash. I had a flat bread topped with spicy chicken, salad and tomato based relish/ salsa. Not too spicy but flavourful. Both too full for desert but the staff provided decent coffee and space to enjoy the time together. Pricewise medium high- 32£ for the mains- but then again energy, food and pay costs are all increased so not unexpected. Have eaten there also in early evening and recommend the fajitas.

Food was nice, staff were helpful, only little issue we as a couple had was portion size and price, it felt a bit small for what the price was, maybe if wr ordered something else it would've been fine, but it felt expensive for the amount. Location isn't too bad, you can get the belfast metro up around there and there's parking too.

Went for a charity quiz night and had a great time. Lovely building and the barman was excellent. I have never been to anything else here, but if you are planning an event then it would be perfect

At a ok pub quiz. First time here in a while. Good facilities, service fine also . Place was busy. Patently a sign of a good venue.

Bland tasting lukewarm vegetable soup with not much barley etc in it, mainly carrots. Sandwiches were turkey, turkey or turkey and salad. Personally one day a year of turkey is more than enough. Tea was lukewarm. There's no excuse for cold/lukewarm drinks and food. Perhaps that's just what you get over Christmas. Not impressed and won't rush back

Only popped in here for a coffee at The Two Magpies. Staff member very professional but friendly. Good atmosphere as there was live football on the various tv's scattered around the premises. There were overhead heaters outside also which made it very comfy for smokers.

Terrible. Bone in the soup, staff unattentive and uninterested, place empty no follow up or asked if needed anything or drinks etc. Young male staff smelt of BO, no spoon with soup, had to go and call someone for drinks then forgot them and had to ask again Food was poor not that warm and like something out of an old people's home. Staff seemed just not bothered and restaurant empty. Won't be back.

I had the chicken curry which was great (but had to ask twice for the missing mango chutney unfortunately!). However, there were good covid-safety measures in place and tables were well spread out. I feel it’s a little overpriced for the portion size but the atmosphere makes up for it.

The food, Atmosphere and Service are all top notch. The staff respond well to banter and the food arrives promptly and hot. My only critique would be the dip sizes for nachos etc. They are far too small and we were sharing between 2-3. Other than that, great place.

Would leave zero stars if possible. Been drinking in the bar all day with no hassle I was informed after 3 hours that our table was reserved for the evening and basically told to move on. Not offered another table or anything. Complained and eventually offered a table for 1 hour. Treated like 3rd class citizens. I’ve never been so insulted and made so unwelcome in my life. Really feel that there was an alternative motive going on.

Great food and drink, ate here several times always left satisfied. Staff are friendly. And its a nice cosy setting, which is child friendly.

visited the four winds at lunchtime last week.as we hadn't been for a while due to covid the waitress was very friendly and got us drinks and menus we order 2 breakfasts and crispy squid and 2 soup and sandwiches the breakfast were not as the soda and potato bread were hard as if deep fried ,bacon overcooked and tomato soggy not nice the soup in a cup was nice but the squid was atrocious not crispy but was so mushy and tasteless so could not be eaten at all .terrible.since our visit we heard the bar has drafted in a new chef A GREAT MOVE . the whole time of our visit ther were only 6 tables taken not surprised at all

It's 2022 and they don't offer a veggie roast dinner on a Sunday.

Family lunchtime meal in the bar area to celebrate a birthday. Really great experience, lovely staff and delicious food. I was able to bring a balloon and birthday cake, kids food was great too.

Not bad for a drink …but the food is not good…Sunday Roast,no Yorkshire & no Horse radish….if it was in the City it wouldn’t last long.

Were to start with this poor excuse for a restaurant. Took the useless staff more than an hour to bring our food out (the place was a ghost town), which came out either burnt or tasting like it was fried in toilet water. Disgusting food that is majorly overpriced and Im assuming they train their staff to be as useless as humanly possible. The staff had no idea how to handle anything and they just sat huddled in the bar staring at us like a pack of rats. The manager was probably the most useless and his customer service skills were non existent. Had the cheek to blame burnt fajitas on the soy sauce they use 😂 and they came with wraps small enough for the borrowers. Then they actually thought we would be paying for the trash they served us 😂

Amazing! Brought the family here for lunch; Friendly and welcoming staff and the food is amazing(especially the chicken fajitas), a little issue with another customer wearing a shirt that made me and the family a little uncomfortable and was a little rowdy, but other then that not a single issue and am definitely bringing the family here again!

Waited over 1 hour for food. When it came it was black like coal and they blamed it on the soy sauce. All the peppers were black. Service was horrible. 5 people standing there behind bar and never came over unless we asked. Sent food back and never even asked to make again. Just let us sit there. So refused to pay. Instead of saying sorry they just had all employees come out behind bar and give our 10 seater table stares and dirty looks. Worst thing was we were the only people in there getting food. So no excuses for times and filthy food. Pints tasted like soap. And parts are the roof were falling down into out pints and food.will never go back. !!!!! Overpriced rubbish.

It used to be good but has went massively down hill. £15 for chicken goujons that tasted like Iceland's, worst meal I’ve had in a long time. The manager was rude. Avoid!

Went for birthday but very underwhelming Overpriced and service not great. £16 for a burger that was under cooked and chunky chips in a container smaller than a cup. Pint of guinness just shy of £6 and £3 for a jug or cordial demonstrates value issues in local market

I visited here with 3 of my friends for a ladies dinner. Service was excellent and the food was delicious. Good portions and great atmosphere. Highly recommended

Went in Saturday afternoon, was expecting big things, but was vastly overpriced. My friend had chicken strips that seemed to be frozen. And the salmon itself wasn't bad, but the dish itself wasn't bad, but definitely didn't justify the £17 price tag. Plus £8 for a glass of wine. All style no substance

We had such a disappointing family meal here this evening. It was terrible from the moment we arrived and continued to go downhill until we left. Some of the contributing factors to a really bad meal and overall terribly experience included (but were not limited to...): - reservation comments completely ignored - having to move tables but being asked to leave earlier as they needed it back, which wouldn't have been a problem but nobody came to take our order to speed things along - food orders not being put through the system (our food arrived but not my hungry two year old son's which we had ordered as soon as we arrived before our own!) - staff ignored us and never checked on us - we had to go to the bar to order additional drinks, food etc as we were conscious they wanted table back by a certain time - the food was really poor all round - I ordered a steak sandwich and the ciabatta was burnt, steak tough and obviously very cheap, chips were cold - when the bill came, they had charged us for the kids meal which came 15 minutes after the adult meals despite being ordered before. I actually had to ask if they could remove it as my son had ended up eating our food instead. I found it overpriced for the horrendous quality of food. - we were asked to leave our table despite the fact we hadn't finished and we had a huge number of issues which nobody had been acknowledged, never mind apologised for - when I spoke to two different members of staff to highlight issues, they seemed surprised, indifferent and offered no empathy or apology. All round, it was an incredibly disappointing experience. It is clear that the staff are young, inexperienced, not well trained and have absolutely no insight into customer service or experience. We eat out as a family a lot and have never had such a poor experience. So many of our issues could have easily been resolved if someone had just engaged with us. Overall it's lucky to get 1* from us. So much room for improvement and it is such a shame as I have such fond memories of coming here years ago. It's gone completely downhill on the simplest of things which could easily have been avoided with a bit more care and attention. I will never grace the door of the four winds again and will be strongly recommending others follow suit.

Was directly involved with a local school Parent Teacher Association in organising a Ladies Lunch for nearly 100 parents at the Ox Bow Room at the Four Winds in May. From the outset ,the organising committee had great help and assistance from Aaron and Paul at the venue in organising the menu and organising the logistics for a Fashion Show on the day, run by a local boutique. No issue was too much for them, with good suggestions on how best things would work, with great communication at all times. Access on the days leading up to the event was not an issue and the room was beautifully set up on the day. They had plenty of staff on during the event, so service for both food and drink was excellent on the day. Key to the event was that the food was all served quickly(and hot!) to all guests and was of excellent quality, with several compliments received on the day . Aaron was there as guests arrived to ensure all guests with pre-advised dietary issues were catered for. He was always on hand during the day, which was a major plus. There was a great atmosphere in the room all during the event, and acoustics are good for a PA system. The set-up for the Fashion Show was also excellent .The other bar in the Four Winds (Two Magpies) is also excellent as a break-out area! All in all, I would strongly recommend this venue for any private function of 100-120 people. They certainly delivered for us!

Was a regular customer for 20 years. Wont go back. Invited a family member for lunch only the two of us but waited for 35 mins b4 very disappointing 😔 below standard food was served. Embarrassed&annoyed.

Food was average. Ordered chicken goujons and they were something that was bought in Iceland. Not what we expected.

We booked for a family dinner, 8 of us and a high chair. Arrived to find the table table set up was for 6+2. Who would do that? Also no high chair. Service was very slow, made to feel like we were putting them out. Had to ask for everything, drinks, to order food, when food came we didn’t get any cutlery. Not once were we asked if everything was ok. My partners meal actually came with a sauce pot on the plate….it was empty! How can a chef and a server not notice that it was empty? We ended up having to clear our own plates from our table onto the next empty one, which also hadn’t been cleared. We were not asked if we wanted dessert or tea/coffee. We had to go to the bar and ask for more drinks. Food was ok, but expensive for what it was, nothing special. Don’t even bother asking for anything resembling a simple cocktail. Be careful when you ask for gin that they upsell it…without asking you!

Was there with a group of friends on a recent Sunday afternoon. Food was lovely, nice surroundings and the majority of the staff pleasand and helpful. I say majority because one young barman had no manners, unpleasant and just looked like he didn't want to be there ......maybe a change of employment might put a smile on his face!

Friday night four of us before the theatre. Meal choice was good, but seating bad, the reserved table was level with one's knees. This meant leaning over to try and eat. Three meals were good, but mine, 1/2 chicken piri piri was dry and tasted as if it had been cooked hours ago and reheated. As we were with guests I said nothing, but sorry, for what I had served to me I'll not be in a hurry back. Pics before & after...

Went for lunch and had an absolutely lovely experience all round. The lunch menu offered a good choice of dishes & well priced. Our lunch was beautifully presented & full of flavour ... delicious. The staff were friendly, courteous & very welcoming. This was my first visit but shall be booking again very soon & have already recommended friends to enjoy.

Monday night outing for a birthday meal, fairly disappointed, slow service, and food not the greatest, overall wouldn't return, been here loads over the years, can be a great spot, but let down by customer service and just ok food.!

Nice atmosphere fair prices, good food wides menu choices. Visited at lunch time 21/3/22. Will be back.

James the manager and his team were unable to cope with the few people in the bar ! No eye contact at the bar , head down at all times .. stood at the bar for 10mins whilst everyone else was staring at the ground...

Nice spot lots of outdoor space that's heated. Play rugby and football matches. Think they do live music too.

We rocked in on Saturday 5th March, 12 of us, unannounced and for a drink ordered and asked for a platter of sandwiches. We were just calling in after attending my mum's cremation, so it was spur of the moment. The waiter said sandwiches were no problem, unfortunately the kitchen said different and insisted we ordered from the menu. As we only wanted a snack it was disappointing, but we just went for a selection of sides which was a great call! The onion rings were amazing! Coupled with a selection of fries and garlic bread, it was perfect for us! Well be back for the onion rings again soon! Jim

not very impressed, took my disabled friend he had so much trouble getting into the place as auto door didn't work. seating in bar was not suitable either as dinner was closed, eating at small tables is not very good. the area was dirty not been cleaned since last occupied, as in photos. meals were nice but we ordered only the pie and got a dinner, waitress offered to take back but we already waited three quarters of an hour for the dinner in the first place. came as U105 are always recommending it. not to my liking, Sorry

First time visit after a gap of a few years. Lovely warm inviting restaurant lay out. Menu quite extensive and staff very helpful with menu explanations and prompt service.

Friendly front door staff, relaxed atmosphere and one of the best outdoor areas I have seen with great heaters.
