As Southerners, it’s not hard to please us with a proper northern pie and gravy. The Greyhound Inn was hands down the best pie we’ve ever eaten. We had the minted lamb pie and it was tender, full of gravy thick enough to stand a teaspoon in and filled us to the brim. The staff were also very accommodating and lovely. Fabulous range of ales and beer too. Would 1000% come back.

We just returned from a lovely dinner at The Greyhound, which was the closest pub to our Airbnb and also recommended by our hosts. The cosy pub is run by a family with young children, and the female owner was incredibly welcoming. My wife had the halloumi burger and I went for the barbecue ribs, both of which were excellent, not to mention enormous. The beer battered onion rings were the best I’ve ever had anywhere. I’d happily recommend the pub to anyone else staying (or living) in the area.

A perfect place for a Peak District dinner, bed & breakfast in a cosy but stylish pub. After a long muddy walk we found a very warm welcome at The Greyhound. We started with a few late afternoon drinks in front of their woodburner ,playing board games. Then freshened up in our comfortable and warm rooms. Then a nice dinner ( catering well for gluten free and vegetarian requirements)and some pool and retro video games. A good breakfast too! I took the dog around the village for a frosty walk the next morning- they are very accomodating even with our clumsy and not so fragrant golden retriever. We will be back!

My first visit, what a find, a real Country Pub restaurant, its not pretentious, its a proper country pub restaurant, with a style, roaring log burners, a welcome, with a great Sunday Lunch menu, home made soup that's more like a main ! clearly locally sourced food, and prepared by a chef who know how to cook, definitely NOT a microwave option. On a grim weather day, it was most certainly worth the drive to enjoy the experience. If you enjoy fresh food, cooked by a chef, and an atmosphere, its well worth the visit. Yes , we will return. Thank you to all behind the scenes for making it all happen.

The best pub I've ever been to!! The food was some of the best restaurant food! I had the BBQ ribs and had to come back the next day for the roast! The staff and the service made me feel at home and so valued and loved! They honestly made my day and week!! If there was one thing we were looking forward to after a hike it was the found and service at greyhound to some hungry lads on a Sunday afternoon.

Dined with friends and were treated to quite a quirky experience. The pub was busy in the dining area, and appeared very dog friendly with all but one table in the dining area to the rear of the pub being accompanied by a dog. The staff were welcoming and there were home produced ales on tap from the pub's Micro Brewery which were enjoyed. There was also a band which was a very pleasant surprise, with the barman taking turns to lead the singing. The menu seemed quite extensive although that rapidly changed when the waiter told us that there were "no pies" and "no pizzas". Eventually two of us settled for the speciality 18 hour brisket burger to which the waiter replied that the brisket burger was in fact pulled pork "I should have told you that before". The atmosphere was good, the beers fine and the food OK, particularly nice homecooked chips, and we enjoyed our evening. Would we give it another go, yes, but please have the full menu on offer?

Great 2 night stay. The owners are a young family, working really hard and making a really good go of things in difficult times. The pub is characteristic, and cosy . Nice cosy fires in two of the rooms, a little games room with free pool table, good background music and a great selection of handcrafted beers. The food was homely, very tastey and plentiful, both breakfast and evening meal. Again, loads of effort goes into the food The room we had was a good size as was the bathroom, along with a decent shower. Great location, near to loads of walks, national parks etc. No shop in the local village. Overall top stay with very accommodating hosts who are doing a great job of running and growing a local business.

We came across The Greyhound Inn by accident, after a long walk in the hills. And what a find it was! We were welcomed by a friendly barman who recommended a stout in the absence of Guinness made locally by his son in law. Dare I say it was better than Guinness?! (it actually was). My boyfriend tried three other local beers and they were all superb. The dining area had a lovely romantic ambience with fairy lights casting soft glow and candles on tables. We were already very happy and comfortable after a long day, but then the food arrived and it got even better. Food was amazing - super fresh and all round delicious, plus best chips I've ever had! We even got a carry bag of beer to take home with us. Thank you ❤️

In sleepy little Warslow The Greyhound Inn is making a proud name for itself. Lee & Jenni have created a little gem of a pub. Its unpretentious, serving up great food and brews its own craft beers. We had a warm welcome, treated to great friendly service by Steve behind the bar and the young waiter. Its perfectly located for walking in the area, park and forget about the car you simply don't need it. I wish Jenni, Lee and team here all the best, they have a winning formula and will go from strength to strength I have no doubt.

Lovely venue, very welcoming and accomodating. Rocky Road exceptional, could be smaller and cost less. This is an extra word.

Lovely little pub. We stopped for Sunday lunch with our dog who was warmly welcomed. Staff were very friendly.

What a lovely surprise this turned out to be. The staff greeted us warmly, the Bistro had a lovely calming ambiance and the food was freshly made on the premises. We had a very pleasant few hours and will definitely return to enjoy the other delights on the menu, at very reasonable prices. Fish and chips Friday is first on our hit list!!

Best ever onion soup, Sunday roast lamb was lovely, no complaints here!! And we do complain…..it’s rare to find a pub which really knows how to cook a good roast…..definitely worth a visit….

Went on a Saturday night. If you like to party and like loud music, this is perfect!
