Lovely place, food was great and service too, happy to comeback again.

A very cosy and rock-style pub with excellent food quality and portions. I have visited it once and I will certainly visit it again.

Food was amazing drinks a bit pricey.

I've been many times worse for wear, usually after the rugby. This was my first visit sober, and for Sunday lunch. The beef brisket was amazing, with all the sides. Absolutely delicious. I did finish with a biscoff milkshake which was good, maybe could have done with more biscoff. Service was excellent, as was atmosphere. Can't wait to return whatever the occasion.

Went there last night to celebrate with my bf and the food is to die for! I am not a steak eater myself but the dry aged ribeye was so good! The prices are fair for the quality of the food, every penny counts. We loved it so much we will be back again 🤗

We tried here on the reviews for the ribs which were meaty but lacked a little in flavour and were dry and soon went cold. The chicken sandwiches disappointed as one was a good size and the other mor like half a portion. We would have raised with the staff but they were hard to catch and not a busy night so the service charge added is excessive when it was lacking and the drinks took a while to arrive. The meal becomes expensive when a tiny pot of fries and slaw at £4 are extras, not great value.

This place has a great vibe and is a brilliant place to meet friends for food or a drink. The menu is interesting but the quality doesn't feel as good as it used to and the prices have gone up.

Had a nice catch up with some friends. Enjoyed great food, tasty cocktails and nice ambiance. On the bar Maris took special care with our drinks and his service was faultless and made all of us feel special. Would definitely return just for the sexy cocktails and lovely team :)

Stopped by one evening just to have a drink. Ended up ordering dinner as well because the place seemed so nice. Was served by Maris and the service was immaculate. The pork belly is to die for and the cocktails are delicious as well (especially the dragon one). Would absolutely recommend!

Great food, great atmosphere and fantastic service.

One of the best places in Kingston. Food is top tier, great selection of Whiskys and cigars. The seating area "outside" is great and is well sheltered. Tons of events on! I've been to the Music and Comedy. I am not a fan of the indoor restaurant area, but that's personal preference. I keep meaning to go to the Poker night and the stand up comedy classes. One day baby, one day. Tom Holland himself eats here, if it's good enough for Spiderman...

Was told the food was quality in this place so solely came here to try it tried a burger and fries for about £23. The burger was not nice at all, literally no seasoning, just lumps of meat between buns, tasteless and a waste of money. Fries were OK, basic. I genuinely would of enjoyed the Wetherspoons burgers more and they are more than half the price with a drink. Not impressed and wouldn't recommend for food based on my experience. Drinks were priced fine and atmosphere was nice, staff were friendly too.

Have been going to the Grey Horse circa 10 years and until yesterday had never had a negative experience. We were a family of 6 celebrating my mother in laws birthday and all looking forward to a Sunday Roast. No Sunday Roasts - sold out at 5pm I’ll have the beef brisket then - no beef brisket Guinness Zero to drink - No Guinness Zero No whipped cream for the Sundae or Thick Shake. It’s seemed like whatever we requested they didn’t have half of it - someone needs to be checking stock levels! Our server however was great, top bloke and really looked after us and the free pudding for the birthday girl was a nice touch, just don’t think I’ll be hurrying back.

Always a great experience! I’ve been coming here every now and then for years, whether just for drinks or food, and it never disappoints. The staff are always fantastic, and the atmosphere is consistently wonderful. Highly recommend!

I love the atmosphere of the Grey Horse and the unfussy good quality food. The staff are always helpful...My only negative comment about my visit last Thursday 21 November, the restaurant was under heated. My friend and I sat in our jackets to eat our burgers, which were delicious by the way!

Was looking everywhere for Smoke house and stumbled across this place. Great vibe, delicious food and expensive menu. Will come again, more to taste! Pulled pork and onion rings our top dishes

Came to indulge in excellent ribs and was not disappointed. The Grey Horse has a nice interior, friendly attentive staff and a fun vibe. We ordered a burger and the rib combo, with sides of chips and mac'n'cheese. It was all excellent but my main focus was the ribs, which I loved. Really tender and well flavored. Could have kept eating them forever. We'll be back!

Just a quick bite to eat on a busy day. Was served quickly and food very tasty. Always great music and enough people to create an atmosphere on a Saturday afternoon!

Lovely pub for a perfect BBQ. The service was friendly. The ribs, OMG !!!! soooo good. Worthy the visit, and I will definitely come back to try one of the lots of whiskey options and the burguers.

Buffalo wings had so much vinegar that wasn't pleasant at all. Also ordered a brisket, but they served me the round or lagarto steak which comes from the leg of the animal and barely has any fat, where brisket comes from the chest and has loads of fat. Terribly disappointed, FAKE !!!

Grey Horse is open and great as ever - fabulous bbq baby back ribs as always and the lady who served us was delightful. Will be back for my birthday in a couple of weeks!

Had a very disappointing lunch today. Last night’s food reheated - not what one expects when paying good money. The chicken burger was rock hard on one side, and the buffalo cauliflower was clearly not made fresh - some pieces rubbery and some pieces deep fried to stone. The Thickshake was watery, bland and warm. Very sad to have spent £70 on this. The service was good, but won’t be back.

A deceptively large pub, with a HUGE selection of Whisky to choose from. Went for a pub quiz, was not disappointed. Staff seemed friendly & knowledgeable. Numerous different rooms, including one area which looked like a covered outside area. Will revisit for a few drinks to explore further.

Amazing food and service. Best wings and ribs in town. I didn’t enjoy sitting in cigarette/vape smoke while eating in the outdoor dining area but understand if this is how they want to operate. Still gave 5 stars but maybe they should remove the no smoking sign.

The reviews seem to be really good for this place so that contributed to our decision to have dinner here. Maybe we came at a bad time (Friday night) but the food was really poor. For starters we had the prawns and the buffalo cauliflower. The prawns were the highlight of the meal but the cauliflower was drowning in sauce and not appetising. We then had burgers, I had the beef one with brisket, it was massively over cooked. The chicken burger was average and not worth the £15 (not including fries). We had loaded fries which were again average and chicken wings as a side, again drowning in so much sauce you couldn’t taste the chicken. Considering the establishment is called Smok’d, nothing was legitimately smoked. The bill came to over £100 for 2 of us and it really wasn’t worth it unfortunately.

Ribs was dry and hard you can get better from tesco microwave ribs i cant believe there even serve them like that some of the flavours was there tho only saving grace

Fantastic Dining Experience at The Grey Horse in Kingston We had the pleasure of dining at The Grey Horse in Kingston for my sister-in-law’s birthday, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, setting the tone for a wonderful evening. I ordered the pork belly, which was cooked to perfection—crispy on the outside and tender, melt-in-your-mouth delicious. My wife had the beef rib, which she thoroughly enjoyed, praising its rich flavor and perfectly cooked texture. Both dishes were beautifully presented and exceeded our expectations. Our waitress, Kerry, truly elevated the experience. She was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time. A special mention for the thoughtful touch—she surprised our nephew with a complimentary ice cream, which absolutely made his night! Kerry’s kindness and attention to detail made us feel incredibly well taken care of. Overall, The Grey Horse is a gem, with fantastic food, a great atmosphere, and exceptional service. We’ll definitely be returning! Highly recommended.

Chicken burger was dry. £15 burger that doesn't come with chips?! Hot chocolate is made with water not milk. No cutlery or napkins or table sauces. Took the bartender 5 minutes to understand what I was ordering and another 5 minutes to work out my table number and then it was sent to the wrong table but when I finally got it it wasn't even what I had ordered. Customers apparently allowed to smoke in the enclosed patio area?! I recommend going to the Druid's Head instead for pub grub.

The bar staff were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend the beef rib, that was excellent.

Food was lovely, atmosphere was great. Everything was nice until right at the end, we was on a budget and they added an additional service charge to our bill. We was going to tip the girl who served us but not as much as the service charge. We asked if we could remove the service charge and was questioned and made to feel as if we was complaining. After they removed this we was ignored and starred at by the other waiters. We was going to sit in the bar, but as we left we said thank you and bye to the waiter who just stared as us. It's was such as shame as everything else was lovely but they made us feel so bad so asking to remove the 12.5% service charge added. A tip is somthing that is added from the customers discretion, and as a customer you shouldn't be made to feel bad if you simple are counting pennies and wish to remove the service charge added.

Very good food! Friendly efficient service even though they were busy. Our party had the baby ribs, smoked beef rib and pork belly ribs...all outstanding and will order the same again next time!

Great food and drinks incredible whiskey selection

All A star, food, drinks, staff.

Ribs were extremely dry. Chicken wings undercooked. Food came out in two minutes. Clearly not enough time to actually drop wings in a fryer/oven. Seemed that the food was sitting there and microwaved. You have a grill, use it and give your wings some flavour. “Pickles” are pickled cabbage and flavoured as if they were your grandmothers mediocre recipe that sat in a basement a few years too long. Still unsure about the Automatic Service Charge of 12.5%. I had to walk up to the bar and order my own food. No one came to check on my food. No one offered another drink. No one cleared my table and no one brought a bill. So, 12.5% to carry a plate to the table?!? I could have done that myself too! Ambiance included small children crawling on the floor. Don’t waste your time. This place is extremely over rated.

Excellent food. Great burger best chips i has in long time. Lots of staff on at the bar so you are never waiting long. Good atmosphere, good music and over 150 types of whisky. Could do with a few more types of cider but overall very good.

Second time coming here and the food is always the best. Service was a 10/10. Love having this as our local pub!

Friendliest pub in all of Kingston, the Ram Jam is an amazing highlight. Amazing service by staff, especially Kerry, Alex, Adian and Richard the quiz master.
