The bar staff were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend the beef rib, that was excellent.

Food was lovely, atmosphere was great. Everything was nice until right at the end, we was on a budget and they added an additional service charge to our bill. We was going to tip the girl who served us but not as much as the service charge. We asked if we could remove the service charge and was questioned and made to feel as if we was complaining. After they removed this we was ignored and starred at by the other waiters. We was going to sit in the bar, but as we left we said thank you and bye to the waiter who just stared as us. It's was such as shame as everything else was lovely but they made us feel so bad so asking to remove the 12.5% service charge added. A tip is somthing that is added from the customers discretion, and as a customer you shouldn't be made to feel bad if you simple are counting pennies and wish to remove the service charge added.

Great venue we always have a good time here the cocktails and the food have so much thought put into them. The team are all very sociable and make you feel welcome. Anescia was very attentive and we were very well looked after. Always recommend this place to anyone that likes bbq and good drinks.

Great food and drinks incredible whiskey selection

All A star, food, drinks, staff.

Ribs were extremely dry. Chicken wings undercooked. Food came out in two minutes. Clearly not enough time to actually drop wings in a fryer/oven. Seemed that the food was sitting there and microwaved. You have a grill, use it and give your wings some flavour. “Pickles” are pickled cabbage and flavoured as if they were your grandmothers mediocre recipe that sat in a basement a few years too long. Still unsure about the Automatic Service Charge of 12.5%. I had to walk up to the bar and order my own food. No one came to check on my food. No one offered another drink. No one cleared my table and no one brought a bill. So, 12.5% to carry a plate to the table?!? I could have done that myself too! Ambiance included small children crawling on the floor. Don’t waste your time. This place is extremely over rated.

Excellent food. Great burger best chips i has in long time. Lots of staff on at the bar so you are never waiting long. Good atmosphere, good music and over 150 types of whisky. Could do with a few more types of cider but overall very good.

WE went for the comedy club, friday night, which was excellent and we were able to order our food to eat in the club. The food was excellent but the staff were exceptional, friendly, efficient and happy. Great evening would thoroughly recommend.

Some of the best ribs I've had outside the US. In a world full of bodeans, go to the Grey Horse. Would be good to have a choice on the brisket though, with BBQ as well as in the gravy. Still great though

Just popped in for a quick pint, and was pleasantly surprised a good pint of Naked Ladies by Twickenham Brewery and to find a 16 year old Bushmills was fantastic. In fact the selection of spirits is mind boggling. Fantastic and the food that I saw looked outstanding. Really good experience thanks.

Decided to take my son here after seeing a review on YouTube by Gary Eats. We had both decided that we wanted the beef rib but our server suggested the smoked combo which we decided against. We also ordered 2 sides of skinny fries and onion rings. The beef rib while tender was fairly bland and not much taste, the onion rings were good and plenty of them. I know this wasn't the restaurants fault but there was a guy sitting behind us who's every other word was the F word, not nice when the place is fairly empty and it was a friend of the server. Would I go back? Maybe if I was in the area.

Every time I come back to the Grey Horse, I'm increasingly impressed. Beyond the stellar bbq food, the breathtaking whiskey collection, the service is always flawless. Our server Harvey can only be described as a god send, gave us an unforgettable evening and accomodated for our every need. Thanks for the great memories and see you soon!

Has been my favourite bar in London for a long time now, its always worth the journey. Came here for my birthday, and the service was fantastic as always. You're always in good hands here, especially in terms of the Guinness. The whiskey selection is breathtaking. A special shout out to Harvey who raised the bar even higher than I thought possible. I'll be sure to be back soon!

During my visit, I had the pleasure of sampling several dishes, and each one was a true delight. In addition to the exceptional food, the service at The Grey Horse - Smok'd was impeccable. The staff were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, providing recommendations and ensuring that every aspect of the dining experience was top-notch.

Was very good but quite expensive for what it was (15£ for a burger not including chips). I had been before and food wasn’t as good as I remembered but I had a chicken burger this time so maybe the bbq meats are the strength. I still probably would come back as the staff and vibe here is really nice, but maybe just for drinks

Stupidly, I was so amazed when the food arrived I forgot to take any photos. I went for the full rack of baby-back ribs, which were delicious. Served with a couple of sides - skinny fries and house coleslaw, the glaze and house barbeque sauce were the perfect accompaniment. I'll definitely return to try other menu items and the gigs (comedy/music) in the venue/room at the back. Excellent, attentive service too + great selection of drinks, cocktails, and beers.

Went here for dinner at the weekend, we had burgers, ribs, halloumi and chicken wings with celery and blue cheese sauce, -no celery and no blue cheese sauce, quite a big part of buffalo wings, totally wouldn't have ordered them had we had know...we got some kind of garlic sauce which was unbelievably overpowering and quite frankly, abit gross.... This terrible garlic sauce was also put on our burger, again, it was SO over powering and completely ruined the burgers, who puts garlic sauce on burgers??!! Ended up taking the buns off and just eating the burger (which was good) .... We also had ribs which were great and everyone loved them, The staff were fantastic and the drinks were good. It's a great place, unfortunately half the food was ruined by smothering everything in garlic sauce. At least make it obvious on the menu that you put garlic sauce on a burger so people can say no thanks! As it stands, we wouldn't rush back for food, but its a nice place to have drink and the staff are lovely

LUNCH! We'd always thought of the Grey Horse as a great local evening option but today we tried them out for lunch. Amazing value (£10 each for lunch!), very friendly and thoughtful staff (we had our daughter with us and they were very kind to her) and a chilled vibe.

Starters were amazing! Burgers were small and average, doesn't come with chips (but chips were amazing!) Double gin and tonic is like £15min. Waitress was great! Attentive, informative, accommodating and funny!

We went to the Grey Horse for a Comedy Show and there were no faults with the comedy, but unfortunately the venue and staff ruined the experience. We arrived a little bit early and there were no seats in the bar area or anywhere to stand (as this was in the way of the serving staff till). We noticed that there were 4 tables in the restaurant vacant and asked a member of staff if we could wait at one of the tables. She did try her best to accommodate and asked her manager but the manager said that we couldn't sit at the table because we had not booked the dining area and they told us to stand outside in the cold. They only cared about making money with no care for their customers. The whole time we waited the empty tables were not used. We went inside the Comedy show room at the back, when it opened and got good seats. However the staff cramped us into the room and tried to sit 6 people on a 3 person table, with no space to move, right next to the bar. They had obviously overbooked the venue and there were not enough seats for all of the attendees. Considering we paid over £40 (a lot more than any of the other Comedy shows nearby), this was not worth the money. The comedians were good, but you do also expect decent seating arrangements and fair customer service, when you pay that much. The experience made us feel very claustrophobic and difficult to enjoy. Save your money and go to a better venue like Dorking Halls Comedy instead.

The manager does not know about giving you a good service, I am directing this at the actual manger on duty 13/12/23 eve. Arrived to find our 17.00 table had 3 different name cards with different times on it. We were informed straight away we would need to leave by 7pm. One of our party (8 of us) was held up slightly in traffic, aprox 10-15 minutes after our booking time. The Grey Horse is running the restaurant like a fast food joint. Definitely not shy to let you know they are in a rush to get you in and out asap, however our starters and main courses both took a long time to come, especially the main courses. Another group of people arrived after us and received their meal before us which we all noticed. Once our plates cleared, we had no time left to order from the desert menu, we were told you have 10 minutes left. rude and such a poor service. I informed the manager who was rude, he has just lost 8 customers and he is rude. He said that's because you ordered late, not my fault. He followed me back to my table where he ranted at us all. We all looked at each other shocked. Do not visit this pub if you want a relaxing enjoyable time, especially at this time of year. It is like a factory farm. Another server asked us if we were ready to pay the bill 3 times. Not her fault she was being directed by a manager who doesn't know how to treat customers. We were all outside the restaurant before 7 actually 18.56 We headed off to a different pub to continue our evening and order deserts/coffee there. I am a local, have visited many times over the last 20 years and will not recommend this place it has lost it's appeal with the way it is being managed. It's expensive for what you get too as it is like going to a fast food restaurant with premium prices. Note to the Grey Horse - Why make it so tight the table turn around you cannot offer a service to your customers. You can't expect people to be robots. Felt like a money factory and blatant about it. Absolutely diabolical service from 8 unhappy customers who will not be returning or recommending to their friends and families. I recommend you change your style as this pub has gone downhill.

We were looked after by a great person named Cam. They catered for us brilliantly, served us some fantastic food an drinks and made the evening perfect. The food and drink were brilliant, particularly the white chocolate martini and the trash fries. I recommend going on an empty stomach because the food is very filling! We went back in December 2023. We were served by Kerry and Orlando. They were absolutely fantastic. Orlando makes a particularly good cocktail called a ''sleigh queen', and Kerry looked after us so well. Our friends had not been to the Grey Horse before and have now vowed to go back there for a date night. Thank you so so much to the team. You're all lovely and we really appreciate you all.

Great food, could do with a few more ales on tap.

A great pub, busy but still good service from excellent bar staff. A good outside space, with a roof, so if you're a smoker you can do so without getting wet!

We chose Smoked for my son's birthday because he loves BBQ meats. Once we had settled in and received our drinks we were informed that the signature dishes, the beef short rib and brisket were not available. Nor were any of the other dishes which contained those ingredients. Now to my mind that is unforgivable. Both of these dishes are prepared in advance and in bulk I would have thought. So to have run out of those and oatmilk too, apparently, is not acceptable. We were all very disappointed. Having come to terms with this, we tried to enjoy ourselves as best we could and, to be fair, almost everything we ordered was delicious. The pork belly rib, sweet potato fries, chargrilled corn and the pit-stewed beans are worthy of special mention.

This place for food and drinks were delicious 😋 couldn't fault anything. I didn't leave hungry. Definitely going back and our host was fantastic 🤩

Normally the best baby back ribs I can find (outside of The United States and South Africa). Today's were good. Service always polite, with a smile and from a gang that obviously enjoy what they do. Superb whisky selection. They even have a comfortable smoking area for idiots like me (a rare thing to find nowadays).

We had the Sunday roast version from Smok'd and it was delicious. Enjoy that there is a nice twist to the traditional Sunday roast. Our second time here and would come again. The place is definitely child friendly in the afternoon as I brought my two kiddos along and there were other family there too. For anyone looking for a night out, I noticed they had an impressive list of whiskey and drinks menu. They seem to have something one each night as well such as comedy etc

Pork belly was a delicious option as a main. The pickle that came with it added a welcome kick of heat. The food went very well with a glass of glen elgin. You could go here for the extensive whisky selection alone

After a very long day walking around central London we needed something near to where we were staying. And this hit the spot. I had large ribs and my wife had salmon. Lovely pint of local ale as well. Brilliant service. Well worth a visit. I would think it becomes very busy at times!

Loved the beef rib and smoked brisket. The pork ribs were salty and the service staff made us think the pork ribs and beef ribs were marinated the same way but clearly wasn't but atleast replaced it with a beef rib. The bbq wings, cheeseburger spring rolls lacked flavour.May it been a Sunday and the absence of the headachef changed the experience. Also, there was no Sunday Lunch available at 5pm which was disappointing. Would come back for the ribs....
