Great menu and drinks choice. Visited midweek at 8.30pm, very warm welcome. Meal (pie & mash) came out in 10 minutes, not hot, no salt & pepper at the table and no offer from the server for condiments, server did not return to table to see if everything was ok. Shame - could easily have been 5/5

Nice pub. Friendly staff. Service can be a bit slow at busy times. Still recommended over other options in Trumpington.

Nice gastro pub which we found on way Into Cambridge on a day visit, seemed very nice and food was well presented, steak was overcooked for the requested medium, but beef dripping sauce was lovely, I would say they seems to have a mad rush for a monday lunch time, and maybe not the staff to keep on top. Overall would recommend a visit I would image you could have a different experiences depending on date and time.

Friendly and welcoming service in a traditional setting. Excellent starters and main courses with something on the extensive menu to please all tastes. First class all round and understandably popular place to enjoy a great meal out. Well done to the whole team.

Absolutely love this little pub. Never fails to impress and always my go to whenever eating out. However I’d like to say a very big thank you to for Sarah who always goes above and beyond for her customers. I recently visited to share with friends I was expecting a baby. From start to finish Sarah was absolutely amazing. Her and her lovely colleague made me my favourite cocktail (minus the alcohol of course) despite it not being on the menu so as not to raise suspicions. And she also went to the effort of secretly videoing the moment for me to remember the special occasion. Just the most lovely lady and always so welcoming! Thanks again Sarah for the brilliant service and making this occasion so memorable. It’s always a pleasure to be served by you.

We have visited The Green Man on several occasions and, today, once again both the food and the service were excellent. Remi looked after our table and was brilliant even giving excellent advice on wines and cocktails. Many thanks to everyone at the Green Man for making this a lovely afternoon

My favourite pub in Trumpington! Food was so good and the staff were very friendly. It’s very popular in the weekends so make sure you book your place ahead of time. The cocktails are so amazing too! Some times the waiting time for food might be a bit long but it all worth it!

Don’t listen to me - try it - you won’t be disappointed. However, if you can swing it so Sarah looks after you - bit like the icing on the cake.

Visited on a Saturday night & the overall experience was awful. We had seen great reviews on trip advisor so we thought we had found a gem. The food was awfully dry and had NO flavour. The prawns tasted as if they had been sitting out for a hour, the steak came out and had no flavour. Worst £100 spent ever. Will not be returning!

Myself and my partner came to the ABBA night and it was very good!. The place was nicely decorated and the atmosphere was really good. All the staff looked like they had the best time.

Me and my sisters and Sarah came for lunch Kayden was our waiter. He was good at serving! It took like 5-10 minutes for all food to come to our table! And the pudding was amazing!! Mash 4 life!

Came here with my sisters and my mums friend Kaiden served us and made sure my gravy was on the side with my sausage and mash. Food was very nice.

Good evening meal with a friend. Booked online, which was very straightforward. Good choices on the menu. Delicious food and friendly service. Quieter than expected but still quite busy. The restaurant had a good ambience.😋 However, the only downside was the ladies' restrooms. I was surprised to find graffiti on doors and cleanliness of floors not very good. Certainly could do with being refreshed 😌

We had a great family dinner. I have been there several times before, and it didn't disappoint. The menu, service and general atmosphere has improved hugely since the change in owner. Gosh It was great as we had lunch and the service food and ambience was superb. Have visited here for the Last 40 years and it has waxed and waned. Today was faultless. Thank you. Very well known restaurant pub in Cambridge. Lots of parking space and safe. You can seat in their beautiful garden to have drinks only or lunch. Inside you have the pub service on one side which is very nice family friendly. On the other side it's the restaurant very nice cosy with a big fire place in the middle of the restaurant. You can have a romantic dinner, family dinner or group it's very big. You are not on top of each other enough room between the tables. The food is simply delicious served like a gourmet restaurant. Lots of wine choice. Absolutely great place for any occasion. Staff very friendly.

The food was not up to the normal high standard, bit of a shock. it was our 40 year wedding anniversary, so this was a mistake coming here. very doubtful we would revisit. after receiving communication from the care team. an offer was made to return for a complementary meal to celebrate our 40th anniversary. we had a lovely meal. both had the Sunday roast , and was to its usual high standard. the service was great. so much so that I have just booked another two Sundays. We are very pleased as this is our favourite pub for Roasts. so thankyou to the care team for taking the complaint seriously.

The food is good, service is fast and friendly. Nice atmosphere in the pub, it's only a bit on the expensive side. Dog friendly with free dog treats which is a plus. The quality went a bit down recently and prices went up.

I watched football, drank beer and ate steak. The steak is medium, 4 points. The atmosphere is cozy.

We had a great meal here this evening. (Table 42) We were served by Kaiden, who looked after us well, he was very attentive and friendly. We chose the Wine & Dine Experience and were not disappointed. Good value for money. We would recommend coming here.

We had a works night out at the Green Man and we all had a lovely time. Our server, Sarah, was very attentive, professional and friendly. She really helped to make it a wonderful experience. The only criticism was a steak was overcooked but Sarah offered a refund for that meal - again showing her wonderful customer service skills. I would definitely come again. Thank you Green Man for a great evening.

I pre booked a table online, but on arriving, I decided that maybe I hadn't really needed to. As the restaurant was empty. Maybe lunchtimes aren't generally as busy as evenings. The food and portions were good. I had the Panzanella salad. Which was a little disappointing. Going on previous Panzanella salads I had eaten. But still tasty. The others I dined with all enjoyed their food. The greeting on our arrival could have been with a smile. Maybe she was having a bad day..... The table waitress was polite and helpful. Overall, it was a good experience and would definitely visit again.

Came to the green man, a regular place for us with friends for Sunday lunch. Food was fab as usual with the beef well done to request. Sarah is very attentive without being too over attentive. We anticipate returning shortly. This is a pub/restaurant that we trust very much.

Was a disappointing experience , trying to be something it isnt

My hubby and I were visiting family and they had booked a meal .it was fathers day so there was a special menu which we chose from . I chose squid for my starter and can honestly say it was the best I'd ever had ! I told the lovely lady who served us too. Then I chose the 3 roast for my main I could t get over the portion size .. huge ! It was amazing then for sweet I had poached pear with coconut sorbet I loved the sorbet yum yum Everyone loved there meals the lady who served us was so nice and always making sure we were OK We would definitely come back Keep up the good work

Our waiter Kaiden was excellent. He was incredibly accommodating with my allergies (and there are a couple haha) he checked multiple times if I was okay with possible cross contamination. And was very attentive throughout the meal.

Steady service nice food when it came

The Green Man is very local yet been a handful of times. Usually not my typical pub; but the service was excellent along with the atmosphere. Was served by the delightful Tabatha, who gave me helpful recommendations on the menu! The food was lovely and drinks were also lovely. Will definitely be returning soon.

Got served by a girl called Tabatha, she was sound. Pints were decent but Tabatha service really made my day!!!
