Visited on a Saturday night & the overall experience was awful. We had seen great reviews on trip advisor so we thought we had found a gem. The food was awfully dry and had NO flavour. The prawns tasted as if they had been sitting out for a hour, the steak came out and had no flavour. Worst £100 spent ever. Will not be returning!

Good evening meal with a friend. Booked online, which was very straightforward. Good choices on the menu. Delicious food and friendly service. Quieter than expected but still quite busy. The restaurant had a good ambience.😋 However, the only downside was the ladies' restrooms. I was surprised to find graffiti on doors and cleanliness of floors not very good. Certainly could do with being refreshed 😌

We had a great family dinner. I have been there several times before, and it didn't disappoint. The menu, service and general atmosphere has improved hugely since the change in owner. The food was brought promptly, and was excellent. Really good, actually. We had brilliant service from Sarah. Fantastic. Thank you! Marks out of 10, 9. Would I go again. Definitely.

We loved everything about this restaurant. We literally have nothing to say on what you could improve. The food and drinks were amazing, the staff was super friendly (thank you Gracy) and the place looks beautiful.

Friendly staff, great atmosphere. Good food with lots of choices. Large wine list. Attentive if allergies made known. No mad rush to move people along, leaving us to have a fab evening. This is our third time of visiting and will defo go back 👍

Gosh It was great as we had lunch and the service food and ambience was superb. Have visited here for the Last 40 years and it has waxed and waned. Today was faultless. Thank you. Haven't been for quite a while and had a lovely meal from the new and innovative menu. The duck salad was to die for. Attentive service and will be back soon.

Meal was excellent. Sarah is brilliant as always. She brightens our week abs a very good communicater. I had the Hake special as did my friend and it was lovely.

Gracie served our party for our family reunion. She was very lovely. Food was very nice. I had the seabass and sticky chicken.

Very well known restaurant pub in Cambridge. Lots of parking space and safe. You can seat in their beautiful garden to have drinks only or lunch. Inside you have the pub service on one side which is very nice family friendly. On the other side it's the restaurant very nice cosy with a big fire place in the middle of the restaurant. You can have a romantic dinner, family dinner or group it's very big. You are not on top of each other enough room between the tables. The food is simply delicious served like a gourmet restaurant. Lots of wine choice. Absolutely great place for any occasion. Staff very friendly.

The food was not up to the normal high standard, bit of a shock. it was our 40 year wedding anniversary, so this was a mistake coming here. very doubtful we would revisit. after receiving communication from the care team. an offer was made to return for a complementary meal to celebrate our 40th anniversary. we had a lovely meal. both had the Sunday roast , and was to its usual high standard. the service was great. so much so that I have just booked another two Sundays. We are very pleased as this is our favourite pub for Roasts. so thankyou to the care team for taking the complaint seriously.

The food is good, service is fast and friendly. Nice atmosphere in the pub, it's only a bit on the expensive side. Dog friendly with free dog treats which is a plus. The quality went a bit down recently and prices went up.

We had a great meal here this evening. (Table 42) We were served by Kaiden, who looked after us well, he was very attentive and friendly. We chose the Wine & Dine Experience and were not disappointed. Good value for money. We would recommend coming here.

We had a works night out at the Green Man and we all had a lovely time. Our server, Sarah, was very attentive, professional and friendly. She really helped to make it a wonderful experience. The only criticism was a steak was overcooked but Sarah offered a refund for that meal - again showing her wonderful customer service skills. I would definitely come again. Thank you Green Man for a great evening.

I pre booked a table online, but on arriving, I decided that maybe I hadn't really needed to. As the restaurant was empty. Maybe lunchtimes aren't generally as busy as evenings. The food and portions were good. I had the Panzanella salad. Which was a little disappointing. Going on previous Panzanella salads I had eaten. But still tasty. The others I dined with all enjoyed their food. The greeting on our arrival could have been with a smile. Maybe she was having a bad day..... The table waitress was polite and helpful. Overall, it was a good experience and would definitely visit again.

Came to the green man, a regular place for us with friends for Sunday lunch. Food was fab as usual with the beef well done to request. Sarah is very attentive without being too over attentive. We anticipate returning shortly. This is a pub/restaurant that we trust very much.

Was a disappointing experience , trying to be something it isnt

My hubby and I were visiting family and they had booked a meal .it was fathers day so there was a special menu which we chose from . I chose squid for my starter and can honestly say it was the best I'd ever had ! I told the lovely lady who served us too. Then I chose the 3 roast for my main I could t get over the portion size .. huge ! It was amazing then for sweet I had poached pear with coconut sorbet I loved the sorbet yum yum Everyone loved there meals the lady who served us was so nice and always making sure we were OK We would definitely come back Keep up the good work

Most helpful member of staff. Nothing was too much trouble and we were asked frequently if everything was in order. We were looked after by Sarah.

Our waiter Kaiden was excellent. He was incredibly accommodating with my allergies (and there are a couple haha) he checked multiple times if I was okay with possible cross contamination. And was very attentive throughout the meal.

Went for Father’s Day. Food was amazing to be fair. But there’s no service with a smile. The staff aren’t rude. They just seem very unhappy.

The Green Man is very local yet been a handful of times. Usually not my typical pub; but the service was excellent along with the atmosphere. Was served by the delightful Tabatha, who gave me helpful recommendations on the menu! The food was lovely and drinks were also lovely. Will definitely be returning soon.

A bit light on the vegan options throughout the menu, and the drinks menu doesn't show prices for some items. A quick service at Sunday lunch time which is impressive. Nice decoration and soft lighting

Terrible food. I paid £23 for pork belly, scallops, and dauphinoise potatoes. When it was served 10 minutes later I knew something wasn't right. There was very little in the plate. The pork belly was fatty, not crispy, not hot. The vegetables could have been tucked up through a straw they were so over cooked although I was promised glazed carrots and they were dry and as tough as leather, the scallops were inedible they were so salty and I could only presume they came out of a jar of brine! Oh and the dauphinoise was block of RAW potato!! Not once did anyone approach us to ask how my meal was during the meal neither did they all when the plates were collected. If I could give the place and food 0 stars, I would. The village of Trumpington is a funny name but the real joke is the Green Man pub!

Poor quality service from staff - no orders taken at table, some rude staff asked ‘have you closed the tab’ on our way out instead of speaking to their colleague or check this themselves (we did when we ordered at the counter and also wouldn’t leave without getting the bill)

Would have been five stars but found the bar staff quite abrupt. Had a couple of beers with a mate, service poor to average at best. Otherwise enjoyable pub to visit.

Lovely outside seating area with heating. Nice venue inside for either cosy small tables or large parties. Food is nice. A bit on the expensive side, but nothing unusual for Cambridge - pint of Diet Coke cost £4.20. But overall pleasant. No cask ales on hand pumps

Waited 45 minutes for starters to arrive, then a further 45 minutes before mains arrived. Food was delicious, table service (Sarah) amazing however the kitchen clearly could not cope. My birthday lunch was spoilt because we couldn't have desserts or coffee as out of time. Steve (Manager) said he'd send me a credit voucher - still not received it. Despite the reply plus 2 emails, I still have not received any compensation and to be honest, I really don't feel they care about resolving my complaint.

Lovely setting. Division between the relaxed pub and a high end restaurant. You also can find hidden tables behind the bottle rack if you want some privacy.

Very good selection of meals and well presented. Reasonably priced. The staff were helpful and polite. Nicely decorated and perfect for our anniversary meal.

It is a good pub/restaurant with great staff and quality meat and fish. The drinks are fresh and the ice cream is great.

The food is awful I'm afraid. Avoid at all costs. Fine if you're just having a drink.
