This place has no idea how to treat a customer, service was absolutely shocking, when I complained I was meet with nothing but aggressiveness and would not let my dog eat here

My girlfriend and I stayed at the hotel next door as we had an early flight and decided to go to MiaBells the evening before for some food and a drink or two. We ordered the Pizza and Burger and they were both phenomenal! Chef Mehmet has a clear passion for his food and is truly a gentleman. He was very helpful with recommendations and you could see he was extremely happy that we enjoyed our food so much. Would highly recommend!

With a good selection of beers and drinks, I was blown away by the quality of the food and the warm friendliness of the staff. Chef Mehmet has an obvious passion for food which was beautifully prepared and delicious. I can highly recommend the bruchetta with a mix of basil, parsley, citrus zest, garlic and red onions complimenting the cherry tomatoes. Scrumptious! If you are staying over near Stansted Airport I would highly recommend eating here.

We drove up from Bristol 3 hours and rang on route but after 9pm......kitchen was closed but they opened it up and we were so glad they did .....the ribs were gurt lush and cider was welcome afer a longish drive .......landlady was very friendly, had a singer on and it made for a great unexpected night

Just arrived back from Tenerife, decided to stop in the Green Man Boutique Hotel, got there about 9ish. Chef Mems greeted us , helped carry our luggage and agreed to cook us a couple of burgers, even though the restaurant was closed. What a meal. Seasoned beef mince moulded into a thick patty, cooked to your preference, topped with 2 types of cheese including parmesan, served with Brioche bun, coated with burger sauce, leaves, red onion and tomato, tempura battered onion rings, homemade coleslaw and thick crispy chips. Possibly, no definately, the best burger I have tasted. Super bar area, great ambience, and super friendly people. If I had a whinge, it would be as simple as adding a scattering of micro coriander on top of the gin and tonic. Little touch but makes the difference. Thank you for a lovely, friendly welcome back to the UK. Definitely a must visit place.

Had a veggie pizza and glass of wine, the pizza was very tasty and hot and way too big for me! The chef came out to ask if everything was ok and offered to box it up for me. Very friendly bar staff, I would eat here again :-)

Large sign outside restaurant saying kids eat free during half term so gave them a try. Food and service was ok. No real complaints. A bit expensive for what we received. Bill came at the end of the meal including a 20% service charge and no reduction for any of the four children within our party. Apparently the advert outside only applied until 16:00. Shame this wasn’t put on the sign to offer customer a full insight into the offer available. Raised my complaint with the manager, who brushed my concerns away with an insincere apology. Considering they are a small restaurant, in an equally small village, I would have assumed they would have been a bit more sympathetic towards any customer issues.

Really happy to of booked a place to stay above this restaurant/pub, the food was amazing, which was not what I expected. I travel quite a lot and I’m used to shoddy food, first the welcome was great I usually shy away for eating on my own however they made me feel welcome as soon as I opened the door, the calamari special was seasoned well and a generous portion (none of the usual frozen rings this was great food) the Chicken Milanese was huge but bursting with flavour better than some of the Italians I’ve graced my presence in and half the price, and how could I not treat my self to an espresso martini especially with the live jazz, it did not disappoint, looking forward to coming again.

We visited Mia Bells on Friday night . The service was fantastic despite the fact place was packed . Food was good and live music was a very good touch . When we got a bill , we were pleasantly surprised , as the prices are very reasonable . Good selection of alcohol as well , for those who prefers a few drinks with they meal . We also stopped over for a quick Tuesday lunch , which was also good

Absolutely dire place, 1 star is too many. Horrendous service and I’m talking chef forgets meals then you wait two and a half hours to eat anything and if you dare ask where your meal is, you get a barrage of abuse from rude management having their own party all sitting very comfortably with their own food and drink whilst their friends make rude middle finger signs at you whilst you wait. Some advice. Read trip advisor and all the 1 star reviews of awfulness and avoid big time!

I’ve honestly never been made to feel as uncomfortable as I did in this pub/restaurant. After waiting over 1.5hrs for a starter the owner gave us 2 comp bottles of wine, a lovely gesture. It was explained that the chef had put our starter through as complete and that the year will rush it through. Ow and make us a priority. We all make mistakes so all was good. After another 20mins, we were all having prawns or salad, we had to chase again. While the new manager was trying to sort the situation the owner approached us and said ‘you have already had 2 bottles of wine just get drunk and enjoy your night!’ Shocking! The starters eventually came and sizzling prawns were tasty but far from sizzling, which we fed back. 30 mins after we had our starters we asked where our mains were, baring in mind at this point we had been sat for nearly 2.5hrs, and were greeted with hostility. The owner was on the table next to us, having had her meal, and her friends were clearly heard saying ‘they are taking the p**s now’ while the man on the table was staring at us and shaking his head. It was just so uncomfortable. When the mains came they were not only not great but the waitress was then chatting to the owner and pointing at us. When we asked her why, it became even more hostile. The owner approached us again and asked what more did we want, said it had only been 10mins since the starter and then told us they thought we were here for the night so didn’t think they had to bring the food quickly?!!!?. We were trying to explain how slow the service had been and how uncomfortable it is to be talked about and stared at by her friends when we are the ones that had been there for hours with no food. She then asked us to leave!!. The abuse continued when we were waiting for our cab outside with the owners male friend swearing at us through the window and then coming out to try and start an argument with us, even the waitress came out and shouted abuse at us. Shocking, just shocking. As I said at the start I have never experienced such an uncomfortable, rude and hostile environment while trying to eat dinner. Sad thing is, we just wanted to support a new local restaurant.

The service was terrible, the food was very disappointing, very poor and expensive for what it was.We had to wait 1:15hrs for the food to arrived, (it was not busy, only 3 tables at the time) the drinks were out of date, the starter never arrived, only main courses in bad presentation and taste.The staff were not wearing face masks, only when someone came to do an inspection, they all put the mask on!! And when we paid by card, they were not able to provide a receipt!! For all the excitement for the pubs and restaurants to open, this was a total disappointment.I don’t recommend this place and not coming back!

After waiting for 1:15 hrs for the food to arrive, we got a very disappointing dish with 5 small pieces of lamb (half burnt) loads of fries and salad like from a cheap road side eatery. All this for £16!The drinks were out if date and had to be returned. Starter never came and still was on the bill. Staff did not wear face masks, only where put on when an inspector arrived to the place. We tried to support local businesses but this just backfired at us badly. I must say the place was not busy at all as they only had people in 3 tables. Definitely not recommending this place and won’t be back at all.

I had lunch today at this place & well what can I say..... Authentic cuisine with the most friendly staff in an amazing setting. It felt like we was on holiday & will be returning vey soon.... An absolute gem of a place

Came for lunch on 13th April, the outdoor seating area has been brilliantly done and feels like you're in a cafe near the water in Greece or Turkey. The food was great and it was refreshing to go to a pub and there not just be fish and chips, and a burger on the menu. We will be back soon, thank you for the great service and giving my Dad a nice lunch on his birthday.

Went to this pub on the opening night 12th April and a total disastrous service. Having booked a table for 8 pm we were just left standing outside along with other people and no one greated us for 15 mins. Finally got seated and had to ask 3 times for a drink and waited 1 hour before getting our drinks. Lots if people complaining of poor service, waiting for food and wrong drink order. Shocking service!

I want to warn everyone about honestly the worst pub ever. Me and my boyfriend came here for evening meal. We sat in and ordered our food. After waiting for nearly 2 hours in a cold freezing pub with no heater we were informed that the food we ordered was not even in stock. We asked what they had available and they had little to say. No staff helped at all and looked like they had no control at all. Everyone in the pub virtually were sitting on an empty stomach as they were clearly unprepared for the evening. Alot of angry customers. All leaving on a empty stomach with no warning. No covid management at all. Honestly surprised they haven't been shut down. ABSOLUTE DISGRACE. Serving drinks without a meal. Not even a refund. PATHETIC. NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN

Pre booked a night out 3 -4 weeks ago for Christmas eve at 6.45pm as was told when we turned up that we arrived at the wrong time and when we told her that it was the time we booked for she said oh it's ok but told us to remain outside so they can tidy the table up. Ater 15 minutes of waiting outside my husband went back into be told they forgot about us. We got seated and we were given a menu to order are food to be told around 4 times that nothing that we wanted to order is left. The time was around 8.30 and everyone was very hungry and fed up. We was served alcohol drinks without food. As we were about to leave we queried about getting some sort of discount due to the inconvenience and they denied. The chef came out of the kitchen crying and also looked tipsy and wasn't wearing a face mask. She was getting very close to my husband which I wasn't very happy knowing we are in a covid pandemic. It announced that we would be in tier 4 on boxing day and the chef was completing abiding by the restrictions. We will never return to this pub again.

One of the worst experiences of my life at a pub. We Booked for Christmas Eve for food and it was a shambles.We arrived at our Booked time for our Dinner. We were then told they didn't realise we were coming at that time so asked us to wait outside until they got us a table. Waiting outside for 10-15 minutes one of us had to go inside to ask if the table was ready to be told sorry we forgot about you and our table was ready. We were then given a menu and ordered our food. We then found out they had nothing to serve us after long confusion in the kitchen.The Chef then walked out and told us what she had. We finally decided what we wanted from what was left. 10 minutes later we were then told they don't even have that! so we left hungry and frustrated. We had bought a few drinks during our time at TheGreenMan expecting to have it with our meal, which we didn't end up having and wasn't even offered a discount for the poor preparation and communication during our time at TheGreenMan.Will not be returning

I went to the Pub with my Family for a Christmas Eve Meal and I couldn't have had a worse experience...We turned up to a prebooked meal for our family and friends hoping the celebrate prior to Christmas and had the following problems throughout the night. The heating system wasnt on which left my girlfriend shivering.We ordered our meal and was waiting for 30 mins before we were told they didn't have it in stock. We then proceeded to reorder another meal only to find out another 15 mins later once again they didn't have any left. The Chef then was called out to our table to brief us on what was available...so we reordered our food for a third time. We bought some drinks whilst waiting after being very patient with the staff and Chef. Over an hour later the waiter then returned for a fourth time saying once again we do not have any of the food left after the Chef told us they do??? Our table of 8 couldn't have been anymore confused and frustrated.The end the night, not eaten we decided to go elsewhere as they appeared to not have any food even through we prebooked weeks ago. What made the experience worse was we had a crying chef pleading for forgiveness which appeared drunk. She was touching our table members disregarding COVID RULES!!! We were also served alcohol without a meal which is ILLEGAL OVER COVID!!!We left angry, confused and quite frankly discusted by the whole experience which is the worst I have had in my life?!!!After all this we expected at least a small refund on the drinks but we were even refused this. I will never ever return.... COMPLETELY DISCUSTED!!!

Went for lunch with my kids today. Waited half an hour for food that turned up uncooked soggy (chips) my daughter asked for skinny fries she got the soggy uncooked ones instead. Fish was about the best thing. My chicken pie had literally 3 tiny pieces if chicken in it the pastry was soggy the mash wasntMashed properly and the gravy looked like dirty dish water. I sent back my dinner as i said i was going to pay £13 for it. No apologies offered. I wasnt asked if i would like anything else. It was terrible i wouldnt go back there if the food was free. Cold and no atmosphere also customers walking around freely without masks on.

attended an event last night 12 March of local residents a great turnout of neighbours so expected a warm reception. was going to eat here but decided not too as pulling pints was such an effort for the staff. very unprofessional and rude. will not return back. next residents meeting I will suggest the 4 ashes

I recently visited with a group of 5 colleagues for a weekday lunch. When we entered the pub the atmosphere felt cold and our group seemed to be an inconvenience to the staff. We then had to ask the waitress if we could order food and were then advised that their delivery had not arrived and therefore certain dishes wouldn’t be available. This limited the choice significantly as there was only a maximum of 10 items on the menu anyway and only one option for the vegan in our group. After 45 mins had passed there was a horrendous smell of burning coming from the kitchen. We asked where our food was and got told another 10 mins, however, it did not arrive for at least another 20/30 mins (over an hour wait) when the waitress admitted that our dishes had been burnt the first time around. It was appreciated that one of the main meals was removed from the bill however, the whole experience was very disappointing and I certainly won’t be returning.

We popped in for lunch. A bland welcome in a cold pub serving worse than average, tasteless food. I asked if the heating could be put on which was ignored. Lacking in atmosphere

What a disgrace to the village of Takeley. I took a friend to our local for lunch having never been before. Having ordered our drinks we had a look at the menu. I had to go in search of the barmaid in order to place our lunch. Half an hour later we were informed that the kitchen would be closed for half an hour for an urgent meeting!! As there was no guarantee of the timescale we left. I was absolutely disgusted having invited my friend to lunch. How this pub can advertise as a boutique hotel with such dismal service is beyond me. The decor was tied and the interior was not very homely. I would not recommend.

Scones, jam and cream were nice Everything else was poor, Mr kipling cakees, 1 cheese, 1 ham and 1 smoked salmon finger sandwiches. All served on a very wobberly cheap plastic tierd server. I won't be going back.

Well this was our third visit, this occasion was my 80th Birthday, Wife. Daughter. and our Grandaughter with baby Preston now ( 9 mths old ) our meal was as mentioned previously was excelent,in fact my wife was not able to finnish hers,just to much for her to eat,pity as the food was to the standard one would expect from a top class reastraunt. We were served by one waitress,and i must admit was courtious and served our meals with a smile,nothing was to much trouble,would i return to this Public House ?. Of course we will.

We were en route from the north of england to the south coast and headed off the M11 to find somewhere to eat after a four hour drive. This pub was handily placed and a convenient car park at the rear. This was Saturday around 12 midday. There were four people having hot drinks at a table and us (party of 4). We ordered our drinks and perused the menu which was small (but not a bad thing, more likely to be fresh food). We ordered our mains and a while after we ordered we were informed that one of our orders was off the menu, second choice made. Two of us decided on the burger and two for soup. the soups were tasty and the burgers were nicely put together although overdone. We then ordered desserts. Some time later the girl on front of house came back saying one of our orders was off. Second choice made. Some time later that one was off the menu as well. We ended up with an ice-cream order (sorry only vanilla available).

Enjoyed a very pleasant evening, with super friendly staff, a lovely meal, we had two of the specials! duck breast and The ribeye steak which was excellent! So were the chunky chips, and lovely large flat juicy mushrooms. The other was the fish and chips which was superb! Beautiful white fish cooked perfectly! Followed by delicious cheese cake. Accompanied by a very nice bottle of Sauvignon Blanc thoroughly Reccomend. A great evening in a comfortable friendly pub.

Went there with my son this evening and bought a pint of ale and half a pint of lemonade. I was gobsmacked when I got charged £9.00. I've paid less in London and this is extremely overpriced. I used to come to the green man a lot but wont be again.

After an awful time at Stansted (missing flight etc etc) managed to get a room here, originally the booking didn't include a child (booking.com error) however staff were extremely helpful and accomodating, and put up a pop up bed so me and the 2 kids didn't have to sleep in 1 bed. Bathroom was lovely, yes shared however shower was lush. Had breakfast in the morning and the food was amazing, easily best brekkie I've had in ages!!! Antonio was extremely helpful and all the staff were awesome, helping where they could and made sure me and the kids were well looked after. The pub itself is clearly an old building but it's cute and quirky. We all had an amazingly chilled time there and will definitely come back.

Looking for a pub for lunch after a very hot walk in Hatfield Forest. I called ahead to see if they were open and serving food to be asked my name by the lovely Antonio and told that they would make us whatever sandwiches we would like. -just talk to him when we got there. He was very rushed off his feet (as short staffed due to unforeseen circumstances ) but he was absolutely charming and very attentive. Great food, drink and host. Thank you.

We are a family of 5 who wanted lunch after flying into Stansted. We didnt want to go to the services, as wanted proper food, and found the Green Man on 'places near me'. I am so glad we tried it, the food was delicious and obviously freshly cooked. The staff, particularly the lady who served us, were so friendly and welcoming. This place is just a bit off the main Stansted roundabout and is ideal if you are meeting up before or after going to the airport. We will most definately go again.

Phoned from airport to advise of flight delay and to check how to access room. No answer. Left messages. Got taxi there as paperwork says check in until 11.30pm. Arrived at 10.50 pm - pub shut, no one around. My 77 year old mother basically stranded with no room so had to drive her back to the airport and book in at Hilton.

Wish I'd listened to the reviews and gone elsewhere ! Went for Mothers day and we arrived for our booking to be told we would have to wait an hour and to come back ! Stupidly we came back as it was mothers day and had no other option at short notice. We had to wait another 35 mins !

Arrived to have dinner at 8.35 to be told that they stopped serving food at 8.30 despite signage all over the pub indicating they served until 9pm. We did later stop for a drink and as it was a warm evening sat outside. Fairly grotty and bar person very surly. Disappointing.

Dinner for 4 on Friday evening. On our last visit several years ago this place was really good. It appears food standards have slipped - a lot. The restaurant was empty on a Friday night - which speaks volumes. The waiters were really friendly and efficient - no problems here. The restaurant was clean and well prepared - the menu is limited but good enough for good pub grub eating. We had to wait nearly an hour for our first course. When it arrived , the soup was watery and the ciabatta on the menu didn't appear. Mains were also slow to arrive and the dishes weren't all that much better - no mushrooms as per menu one one dish, the chips ( two kinds) were soggy. The meals were of poor quality. Two of the party had really bad stomachs the next day - but this may be purely coincidental. Vast improvements are required or this place will be under new ownership soon.

I went here for a meal with my family tonight and we waited 45 minutes for our food, they forgot part of our order and when it did eventually arrive it was very average. Overall the service and food was very poor, I would not recommend this venue or be visiting again.

Regrettably, I had to write this review, just to vent my disappointment and to warn future customers. We stayed for one night only in a twin room with a shared bathroom. This room was located in a separate building, next to the pub. I had a feeling things won’t be great as soon as we were led through the main door, with a broken door handle. It probably takes 3 minutes to drill that thing back in, but hey. One of the shared toilets is downstairs, just next to the entrance and just by glancing at it through an open door, I noticed it wasn’t clean. The room had low ceiling, so we had to be extra careful not to smash our heads. TV wasn’t working and the WiFi was almost non existent. The highlight of the stay was our shared bathroom; probably the grimmest bathroom I have ever been to. Toilet wasn’t clean and the toilet seat was too small for the toilet, so I did not even attempt to sit on it. A large mirror behind the sink was held by a dish washing sponge. Again, not sure how long would it take to drill that mirror to hang off the wall. Probably 3 minutes, too. Anyhow, I am not sure how do other, more expensive rooms look like, but to say the Green Man is taking a piss out of customers who cannot afford those - is an understatement.

I booked the Green Man for a one night business stay. It looked nice from the outside, had a room available and was close to the office. Booked easily on the website and looked forward to the stay.

Very disappointed. We had to send our main courses back because they were cold and I found the vanilla cheese cake for to big and rich (personal preference). Restaurant is trying to be something that it isn't. Would not go back for a meal.

I always try to leave positive reviews but this experience was so awful. The table was basically in the corner of the pub and although the young man serving us was great, the food was dreadful. It was by no means your traditional English afternoon tea. The sandwich selection consisted of egg, ham and tomato and for some reason two lots of prawn! Turns out the table next to us had phoned ahead to say no fish so they got our cheese and pickle. There was more butter than filling in the sandwiches. The cakes were not fresh, in fact the brownies seemed to be the tiny squares you get in the boxes of supermarket brownies. And their afternoon tea is priced at £33.90! Should have gone to Rosey Lea!

I do not like leaving bad reviews but I feel I have to let people know how bad the afternoon tea is here.

Just met my friend for a quick catch up - a standard size glass of house white wine, and a soda water - £7.75. Really?! Won’t be rushing back

A really nice local and the food is excellent. Try the lamb they do it very nice. Just adding characters to this review.

I feel it needed to review what a perfect Cream Tea my mother and I had Nov 2018, So once again I booked through Groupon for my partner and I in April... It was very disappointing in comparison... felt an overall lack of attention and felt relieved to be out of the experience. Sandwiches looked zero effort and some had no filling and just bread. What a shame. Attached are photographs from both experience for comparison.

This is a really nice pub, the staff were very friendly and helpful the food is fantastic. Was all very reasonable. I think they have a very caring chef. The tables were all nice and clean, but the kitchen door isn’t something you would walk through and think you were going anywhere clean!! Look at the picture? Absolutely shocking! The outside is a bit tatty as well. I have given them 4 stars for the staff and food. It should really have been 3 stars. I would definitely go back though! Hopefully they read this and make that 2-3 hours effort.

We were recommended The Green Man as somewhere to eat, by our local b&b; hostess. We were not disappointed. The food was delicious. I had the gammon and my friend had the Hake. The food was a large portion and was all very fresh. My friend commented how fresh the Hake was and still talks about it days later.

Just had the most amazing mothers day lunch. Food was one of the best Sunday roasts I've had in a long time. 3 courses and a glass of prossecco for the mum's. Fantastic value and all cooked to perfection. Roast beef cooked to perfection with all the accompanying veg absolutely no complaints and considering the amount of people they were serving the service was excellent couldn't fault anything and will definately be returning again thank you .

Having been to the forest eight of us, including three kids, decided to stop there for lunch. We hadn’t booked but the lady behind the bar help sort out a table for eight really quickly.

I have reviewed this pub before with a less than favourable review. That was before they changed chef and many of the staff.

We booked the groupon offer for afternnon tea.. but what we got couldn’t have been further from it! It was so bad groupon have refunded in full! It is nothing like the picture advertises! You get stale.. dry sandwiches in a chopping board... 1 cup of tea.. and the cakes aren’t even worth mentioning!!!!!! The homemade scones looked and tasted like they’d used playdough & were served with whipped cheap cream as opposed to the clotted cream you naturally expect at adternoon tea! I wouldn’t go back here if you paid me !

Yes, that's what I did so I cannot give a full review. However, I was immediately made welcome, my order was taken and I sat inside a cosy, friendly pub. The local micro brewery beer was in excellent condition and very tasty, as was the cheese and pickle sandwich.

Came here for Sunday lunch on recommendation however although there was plenty of tasty beef the Yorkshire’s weren’t cooked properly in the middle the potatoes were luke warm and soggy no crispness at all which I did point out to the nice young waitress. my husband had the cheese board however cheese was straight out of fridge so too cold he ate most of it but he doesn’t like complaining. Wish I could give a nicer review .

Well we’re do I start...? The sandwiches were dry on the edges and soggy in the middle, not a good start by heyho, let’s see what’s next.

Changed hands a few times recently and glad to see now some continuity as all want a village pub we can rely on. Food good and service and staff very attentive and helpful. Would highly recommend as a local pub and overnight stay before an early flight at Stansted, as have 5 boutique rooms above the pub, which are all very nice.

Perfect.Booking made by our Granddaughter,with her baby (2 weeks old) and Daughter, occasion,my Wife's birthday,mid week so not busy,meal was in my opinion prepared and served by staff who care, drinks served courteously, as was the meal,dog,allowed in the bar, so a bonus for pets, all in all very highly recommended, but I guess you would need to book in advance, as the dining area is not that large.

Called to make a reservatio for us and the dog. We arrived with our name on the table reserved along with dog treats. Food was excellent value for money. The staff were all friendly and attentive to all our needs. We highly recommend and will visit again if in the area.

Had a lovely experience for morning coffee and lunch today at the Green Man. Lovely atmosphere, lots of room, really lovely staff and the food was excellent. Will definitely be back.

Today was the first time eating at The Green Man. Impressed I was not.

Rather upsetting. A friend was visiting so we booked a meal. Unfortunately the flight was cancelled due to a highly publicised event at the airport. The green man refused totally to refund our deposit despite being fully aware of the incident, A totally uncaring company with no customer service at all.

Pub was nice enough, but the prices and portions were laughable, ham egg and chips ...with about 8 chips was one of the cheaper items on the menu, thought it was a childs portion, really cheap generic wholesale brown sauce in little jars ( probably to hide the fact it was cearns and brown or similar muck) £15 I seem to remember. will not be visiting here again.

We were taken her with friends that live local a very cosy place the food very good my wife half Austria and she had apple strudel we could not believe this was the proper one but when spoke to the chef he was Austrian the whole meal for 6 of us was very good and great drinks

Having booked reasonably well in advance for a birthday treat for our son, we were contacted the day before and advised (good communication) that a number of the restaurants offers would be limited due a supply failure, so could we pre-order..not bad thinking.

We called in around 6pm after a long drive, we should have known when seeing the car park empty! Nobody inside, ordered a pint of hobgoblin which was excellent, menu very basic (cafe! Typical) ordered chicken & chips £15, chicken arrived with 2 very thin slices of lemon & dried herbs on top of over cooked & wet clammy skin, no crispy skin here!

Popped in Monday morning for a full English and pot of tea as I have many times before , girl behind the bar was completely clueless and no more personality then my teapot !! My breakfast was dry very substandard compared to other mornings I have visited the green man , to be quite honest she wouldn't have even noticed had I have walked out without paying , it was only the young lad that I ended up paying my bill to , come on green man sort it out

We are forever looking for a reasonably priced, family restaurant that serves great food close to home & at last we’ve found it!! My husband & daughter adore fish & chips & can never get over how often it’s done badly, but not here - lovely fish in a crispy batter & those tripe cooked chips are to die for!! We all had the apple crumble for pud & that was scrummy too. Very comfortable with a nice atmosphere & great service - we shall be back!

Great friendly staff, great atmosphere and amazing food! Got a voucher on Groupon, easily booked. Saw the main meals as well while we were there, def going back!!

I and my partners visited The Green Man after a visit from old Harlow yesterday. The pub is a lovely pub with a great menu ordered the new Autumn special with a side order of chips then followed by a dessert. Very yummy food at a great price to. The staff were very friendly. If I’m ever in the area will definitely be visiting The Green Man.

We booked this as a treat for a couple celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary
