The Green Man in Hounslow

What a great find. Had a meal here with friends last Saturday after watching rugby at Twickenham. Good pub food, good selection of beers and friendly staff. Would recommend trying this pub if you are staying near Heathrow. On bus route from T4 bus interchange.

We went there yesterday and the roast was awful. We were so disappointed we waited a considerable amount of time only to be served what can only be described as a microwave roast dinner. It was tiny, mine was cold it was probably the worst roast dinner I've had in my life also my son had churros and they were burnt. I would never go back again ever!

A 400 year old pup, if you sit in the beer garden you can almost touch the landing gear of the landing planes.

Our first time flying from Heathrow,what to do to kill time? Five minutes walk from our hotel we found the Green Man .Reminded us of Rafferty's in Pink Lane in Newcastle. An oasis of working class decency and respectability,good craic and friendly staff and customers.Plus friendly dogs and cat,result🏁😁

Wonderful 'old school' pub on the approach to Heathrow for incoming flights. Hasn't changed much since my Dad took me there 60 years ago as a treat to see the planes landing. Food a bit average pub grub but cheap and cheerful - service was exceptional 👌 Great outdoor space for the summer months 😀

Went back with my friends because of the good time we had before. Me and my friends were all looked after by friendly staff. The manager introduced himself to us and can I say that he was very passionate about the pub especially the history. We really enjoyed our visit and this will become our new local.

We found this place by luck, and was a really nice surprise the food was so nice long ago I didn't have a nice Sunday roast and also the pie was perfect. The atmosphere make you feel welcome and the team is kind and ready to help. Is kids friendly and is good for family who wanna enjoy a meal. Don't forget the wings and the spice sauce was so flavour and rich. A place to come back for sure. They have menu for kids Menu for seniors ( surprised me first time I see a place have options with good menu for good price for senior people ) Vegetarians and for everyone

Sorry to say but this pub has really gone down hill, the food was disgusting. The place is filthy, it needs a whole new refurb, the carpet and chairs look like they need a deep clean. Bring this place back to life, it used to be a lovely place to go with family and friends for lunch and dinner and great play area for the kids. I'm surprised it's still open. Such a shame to let it go to such rack n ruin.

Been there for a lunch with my work colleagues. Can't give out 5 stars due to the food unfortunately, it wasn't bad, but just decent. I would go there again for few pints tho.

Well... I'm giving it 5 stars for the cat! I'm a dog-lover. But the cat nearly had me converted! Best Abbot I have ever tasted. The place obviously has some history but... The Green Man in Bedfont - or is it Hounslow? Or Feltham? (It's all a bit confusing - according to who you listen to) - is not entirely authentic. Witness the very hollow sounding pillar in the saloon bar.... Still... No complaints! And, as I said... Their Abbot Ale actually makes Abbot taste great!

Staff member seems like she doesn't want to be there, got the wrong drink, made the wrong way and was overcharged for my burger. Didn't challenge as seems like the sort of place they mess with your food if you complain. Flies everywhere and just in general feels a bit gross, food itself was largely correct but not blowing anyone away.

Lovely historical traditional pub worth a visit. Great friendly welcome and service by staff. Festive meal was really good quality and value. Had a great time and a wonderful kick off to our Christmas celebrations🍾

Lovely little pub, you have to duck down a bit because the ceiling is so low in some sections which adds to the character of the place. I would go back.

I ordered a pinot grigio, then ordered another pinot grigio and this was the difference. Told at the bar these were from the same bottle.. Apart from that The Green Man is not a bad place to go for a pint.

Great little pub that we found close to the hotel. Quiet on a weekday. The wings we cooked well and the IPA hot sauce I would go back for !!! Steak and Ale pie was very filling and tasted great. The staff is also very friendly. We were lucky enough to see Dave the Cat too 😀

Great location for watching airplanes land at Heathrow Airport. Free parking at the end of the road if willing to walk 2min.

A place often passed on way to Heathrow..well worth the stop for food and drink in a very atmospheric location..and no plane noise...

Really good fish and chips and the drinks were lovely! Loved the music and the feeling of the venue. Perfect place to have dinner and drinks with friends!

Went in & waited to ask but woman behind bar was more interested in stuffing her face with food Asked if still serving as there was 5 of us she asked the chef who slammed microwave & said" I suppose I have to " so i said 'it's ok i dont want to put u out i will go elsewhere " woman just shrugged her shoulders U lost over £100 of business guys Would NOT recommend going there

Quaint English Pub close to Terminal 4 Heathrow. Good service nice outdoor patio. The pies were great Unfortunately the first 2 gluten free items we wanted to order were not available. Really no fish and chips?

Was working close by and fancied an after work ping and a burger. Place is a bit scruffy but is no nonsence. Had a couple of pints and a burger and it was good pub food with a great view of the planes.

Pretty poor pub. Service is the lowest I've experienced for over 40 years. Don't serve fill pints either. Would've given it zero stars it it were possible.

What an absolute gem This is a must visit, we saw lots of amazing aircraft overhead arriving at Heathrow. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The award winning pies were excellent. The hand pull beers were a lovely surprise A must visit, if like us, it’s a stop over before onward travel from Heathrow. Another bonus was the music. Thank you ‘ The Green Man ‘ Will definitely pop in again when we’re on our travels.

Good meals and cold beer, what more can one ask for

I was shocked whrn I walked into green man .the bar staff looked unkempt and looked like pyjamas they were in .I was served while she chat on phone which I found most rude.very argumentive with most customers ..just slam drinks down and change not giving it to the customer ..if there is a landlord landlady around may I suggest they put their staff on a customer liaison course as these people had no manners whatsoever ever ..

Lovely little historic pub for a few pints on a summers night. Parked car in car park opposite, don't use pay and display, just scan the code at the bar and you have up to 4 hours parking for free. Lively atmosphere and lots of places to sit outside.

Nice place to have a drink and some food. Friendly and helpful staff. As previously mentioned, there are some low beams so if you're 5'10 or taller be careful. Outside seating available also.

Came for a drink, service was quick, inside it’s quite claustrophobic due to the very low ceilings. Nevertheless, a historic pub, with very well-priced pints. @Green Man team, updated my review as I realized the expression I used earlier didn’t convey the meaning I thought it did.

Favorite place to go near Heathrow!

Atendimento ruim, serviço ruim, atendentes de cara feia, parece que eles estão fazendo um favor para você, não se preocupam com a sua satisfação e no final metem o louco na conta e cobram a mais ou não te entregam o que você pediu! Fiz um pedido de um menu, uma simples batata e um copo de cerveja, paguei por ambos, peguei a cerveja e fiquei esperando por horas a batata, lá fora em um domingo de sol, era para ser uma experiência boa, mas ao final não me entregaram a batata e alegaram que eu não havia pago por ela, quando você aperta eles no inglês, “fingem que não estão te entendendo” Fuja de lá!

Our hotel Hilton Garden Inn recommended this pub, and we loved it. Good food and a very lively place. Highly recommend.

Nice pub right by Heathrow. Friendly, pleasant enough place; staff were nice. The food is very cheap, big portions and pretty tasty. All around decent pub!

Good value and amazing plane spotting in the outdoor area. Children’s meal was quite nice and they do promotions on small plates daily, good for people who love to snack. Churros was disappointing but everything else it’s normal.

Odd place. Fairly decent food, fairly decent service. Don't expect garnish in your gin kind of place.

Green man, Feltham: Give it a miss. - Terrible service - No draft lager - Over-priced bottled Heineken And an atmosphere like no other… Do yourself a favour, pass in on by and don’t bother going back.

Have been drinking here for a while now, best pub for miles for food and a few pints! Staff are always friendly, food is always fresh. Best place for a beverage for miles!

Went to the Green Man for a poker night. Was an excellent night out and enjoyed myself. Lovely pub. However, it ended rather poorly with one member of staff, a younger lady with glasses shouting at us to leave when it was dead on 11pm. Usually poker at the Green Man has historically ended at 11:30pm or later so it was unusual for her to scream and shout at us to leave. Saying that she doesn’t care about us and threaten to cancel the poker night. I later learned she isn’t a manager or senior member of staff. As we finished up our game early and left. She proceeded to lock up with 2 men and began drinking a bottle of alcohol behind the bar, leaving the pub in a state. Very unusual behaviour and I hope I don’t see a repeat.

Absolutely awful service, on my last visit no draught beers and was no apology or explanation, almost everything on the food menu wasn’t available, again no apology or explanation, my group was shouted at on numerous occasions and told that under no circumstances would we be there past 22.45 so we better drink up quickly, it soon transpired that that was so the staff could close the doors and drink after hours with their male friends. Was treated most of the night with what I would call complete contempt, made to feel unwelcome and unwanted, not what I would expect from such a large pub chain, the staff attitude seems to be “I’m getting paid I don’t care” to any issue that may arise. This customer service needs to improve before there is no customers

Unfortunately the service was not very good not because the two people serving tried their best but just not enough staff, definitely not a lot of atmosphere.

Not exactly a regular but do go there a few times. This time disappointed as I took a friend telling her how good the food is but food was dry and chips were cold. Had to apologise to my friend. Will not go back

Nice enough food/drink when I have visited on foot before but be VERY aware with regard to parking. Maybe I am slow or maybe it is just that paying to park in a pub cark park is very alien to me but I feel the process could be made clearer before you enter the carpark and thus avoid ending up with £100 fine for a 20 min quick drink. On entering the carpark you will see signs saying patrons parking only and that the carpark is only open during licencing hours, it is only once you are in that a long list of terms and condition are told to you. Secondly, I have since found out having phoned the pub, that you need to scan a QR code in the pub in order to enjoy the privilege of being able to park in the carpark for free. If there are any clues to that effect, they obviously didn’t work for me as I was unaware of the need to do this. One wonders if we can't we cut the middle man out an enjoy a quiet drink without the need to sign in as all it seems to do is put you back to where you started in the first place – you pay and then claim it back for a carpark which is already signed posted for patrons only. If people taking the mickey is the problem, rather than punish everyone by making them pay, clamp the ones that don’t play by the rules. If making money from the carpark is the game, then why to I have to be patron and restricted to being able to park during the licencing hours? If the current system is going to remain, at the very least say to your customers, in a short clear sign, the hoops they need to jump through on entering the carpark. This is all rather regrettable as I had hoped that it would be a good place to stop for dinner on the way home now that I am visiting the area regularly but not if one has to jump through poorly notified hoops.

For my first time at an English pub after being laid over in London for the day, and it did not disappoint. Atmosphere was lovely, staff were extremely hospitable (shoutout Faye) and the food and beer was absolutely proper for a simple night out to get out of the Heathrow hotel as well!

We had a layover and came her just as they were about to close the kitchen. Faye and the gentlemen in the kitchen graciously accommodated us after 12 hours of traveling. We truly appreciated it. Thank you! Come see us in Texas!

Quiet when we went on a Saturday lunchtime. Bar lady was lovely, really helpful. Food was great value.

Slow service. Food was basically microwaved and terrible quality. Bar and toilets were filthy.

Service was okay, but after 45 minutes of waiting for our meals we left!

Stopped in after a flight from the states with the family. Excellent staff. Very friendly. Food was very good and they let you sample the beer to make a good pick. Would stop in again if I ever get back this way.

Family friendly , great outdoor space

Popped in with my wife and son for a quick bite to eat. The staff behind the bar were very friendly and we're happy to check the menu as my son is dairy intolerent and were able to cater to his dietary needs.... We will be visiting again

We have eaten here before the staff are always friendly and helpful. The food is cheap and cheerful and for the price can’t be faulted. Last we both had a beef and ale pie, excellent. I would have had fish and chips with mushy peas , but I just missed out, which I have eaten here before on a few occasions always superb. My only gripe concerns the toilet which was designated a disabled toilet, it wasn’t. It was a normal low down toilet bowl, there were no supporting rails to enable you to pull yourself up and the toilet seat was very loose and wobbling around. If you were in a wheelchair you would not be able to access it as that end of the bar is on a different level.That said it won’t stop me visiting this pub again. If you are disabled just bear in mind it doesn’t cater for you.

Really happy with this place. I’m living in Feltham for a couple of weeks until I move to Windsor. The beer is decent, food very nice and competitively priced, and the locals generally very nice. I’ve been about 5 times now, and I think it’s a good place to burn a few hours. Recommended for sure.

Quaint setting - watch out for the low beams! Lovely atmosphere early evening. Usual decent quality of food on the Greene King menu. Would revisit if we were in the area.

Love the atmosphere around it's nice and cozy. The food is nice as well. I am in love with the cocktails and they make it amazing. I have to say, I enjoyed every single bite of the meal in.Considering the quality, the price is reasonable. There was also plenty of room for bigger groups.Servers are also great and always efficient, happy and polite. I usually visit the place with my colleagues just to enjoy on the lovely meals.The bartenders knew their mixology and it showed in the drinks. Great place to hangout or chill.

Friendly and welcoming service, and a nifty 400-year old pub. We had a tart, creamy, brown-crusted baked macaroni and cheese, and a thick chicken and ham, each of notable high quality. An off-the-beaten path gem.

Lovely little pub, just set back from terminal 4. We had a steak & Cheese sandwich, chips and side salad and I have to say it was excellent. Would highly recommend and is great for watching planes take off overhead.

I second what has been said by others about this establishment. VERY friendly and cheerful staff serving good food at a very reasonable price. Handy for Heathrow if, like me, you need to kill some time before an airport pickup and it's dinner time! 4 hours free parking in the car park opposite the pub is also a real bonus 👍

We were part of the family to have a drink and we liked the place, it is cozy but the main reason for not giving it 5 stars is because of the treatment received by the waitress (the girl) the man was much more friendly and attentive but the treatment on her part it was totally unfriendly. We will possibly give it another chance as we liked the atmosphere as well as easy parking.

We went here after a long day of travelling - only 5 mins from our hotel and some decent ish reviews for a restaurant run by one of the bigger brewer names in the UK. Seemed like a safe bet! Sadly not. The appetiser arrived before drinks, 25 mins after they were ordered. Had to ask where drinks were, they finally arrived - best part of the whole meal. The sharing nachos were lukewarm and had runny sour cream on one side, salsa on the other - no points for presentation there. Main courses arrived almost an hour after that - after I’d enquired at the bar where they were and was told the chef had orders ahead of us. I understand that, but we were one of 3 tables and an hour seems a long time to wait on that basis for what’s average freezer to plate food at best. Chased another drinks order 20 mins after placing it, food finally arrived - 2 pies, 2 burgers, 1 steak. Steak had no tomato/onion rings/rocket as advertised, and one burger was blue cheese rather than regular. Pies were good which is why this review has 2 stars not one! I’ve not had such horribly slow service for a very long time and there was just no oomph from the staff. The barman stepped it up and was much friendlier when clearing plates but I suspect that’s because I had already complained and we were leaving by then. And - not that I expect it - but not even a sorry was given for any of the above. Avoid this place, plenty of others I’m sure would be better!

We looked at the reviews and came here based on them. We were dropping our American friends at T4. What can I say? On arrival, the 2 women behind the bar were exceptionally unwelcoming with faces like thunder. One of them was on her mobile as she pulled a pint of Guinness, not even looking at the glass (or her customer). We ordered fish and chips x 2 and katsu curry x 2 to be told there was no fish and chips (at just past 3 pm). We chose an alternative to be advised then that they DID have fish and chips ... The food, to be fair, was great. No complaints from any of us (though the surly woman's delivery of it left a lot to be desired). On departure, I ventured to the ladies. It was filthy. The floor was soaking, the sink carpet was sticky, and the toilet seat was hanging off. I was desperate to go; had I not been, I'd have walked straight out. In addition, en route to the toilet, the room stank of weed. Sadly, a pub that could be brilliant is an absolute tip of a place. A never to be repeated experience, and we were embarrassed to have taken our American friends to it.

This was a great find. I wanted a drink and an airport hotel bar is depressing. Great old building(watch your melon). Cheap pint and good cheap food. It's an actual real local . If you're flying out of Heathrow and have a while to wait, this is a good place to go. I can't say the young ladies serving were the friendliest people I've ever met, but slinging booze can be a trial

Went to the Green Man for a few drinks and food. There was a lovely blonde lady behind the bar who was always smiling and made us feel very welcome. The food and drinks were good and the customer service was really good. Will definitely be coming again

Good local pub close to Heathrow. Nice food, I liked chicken wings, 1 kilo for 9.99. 2500 calories, was enough for me.A nice cat lives there, can stroke it, very friendly.

An atmospheric little pub. Simple, but good pub grub, and plenty of it! Friendly and pleasant bar staff.

Stopped in on Friday night before the kitchen closed with my two teen daughters after a short 10 minute walk from Hilton Garden Inn Heathrow (not the one on the actual airport), diverse menu, great prices/portions, cask drawn ales and live music (singer) was starting at 9pm, pay pub style when you order at the bar, kids loved the food and I did as well, great way to start our London Holiday

A lovely looking pub with a massive beer garden. I was served behind the bar by a very friendly man with dark hair who works in the kitchen. Highly recommended. Great place to watch the planes landing at the airport.

Went for. Sunday roast as we were staying overnight at nearby hotel. Very disappointed. A few scattered frozen roast potatoes cauliflower cheese that didn't have any cheese and no Yorkshire pudding! Understand that this is a budget roast but do expect what is given should be edible. On the plus side staff were friendly but probably need another member to help out.
