The Green Man in Hounslow

Had a very good night last night with friends. The atmosphere was vibrant and very busy. Food was on point well presented and good pricing.

Very friendly helpful barman! Pub cat ignored for England.

Have been a few times previously. Fun for the children to see the planes whilst eating. Sadly we returned today to meet with family. Told on arrival restaurant would be closing in an hour due to a group of 30 arriving (we didn't see them) ordered starters and mains, some mains came out with starters which meant we ate separately. We raised this and just had the response "oh sorry" Tried ordering got drinks after to make the most of outer time together and was told "not today" It's a shame to travel 40mins to somewhere we once loved for poor service. Wouldn't mind but although we were a group it wasn't busy.

Cosy old fashioned style pub, at the end of Heathrow runway and a 5 minutes walk from Hatton Cross station. Steak night every Thursday is £10 for steak and chips, good value, and a nice option for escaping the hotel bar!

The only reason I haven’t given them a one star for service is because the food arrived timely and was brought over by a nice guy. However, the person that manned the counter as I entered the establishment had an awful attitude. Didn’t smile back (that’s fine), was very blunt and sharp (hey, I’ll excuse that too.) But the worst part was when I left my phone by accident on the payment counter. I went over to my seat and within maybe a minute realised that my phone was missing. Went back to the counter to get it and it wasn’t there. The man had set it aside and as I approached the counter he asked me I was looking for something. I said I’m looking for my phone. Saw it kept on a ledge behind him and said hey that’s mine. Dude literally asked me what model it was and that he couldn’t verify if it was mine because he “just saw it lying on the bar top”. I mean really? I was there a minute ago. Someone comes to your establishment and you make them feel like a common thief for asking for their own phone back? I even chalked the whole thing out to him probably having a bad day but then I saw him laughing heartily with another guest later and figured I was wrong. I don’t know if this man is the owner or someone who works there but horrible vibe to be greeted by when trying to eat out. I’d recommend my fellow Indians to avoid this establishment, you aren’t welcome here. I’m not the type to make a scene- I ate my food and left. But I’d like people to be aware that this stuff happens. And in the extremely small chance that I’m wrong and you did not pick on me for my race - why are you working in the service industry with that stank attitude? I’ve read reviews by Bangladeshis and Africans calling this place out for similar behaviour so I’m inclined to believe that this is the case.

Quiz nights here are awesome and the staff are brilliant making sure we have table service so that we can focus on trying to win the quiz. We submit a team every week and have so much fun

Fantastic pub, lovely atmosphere! Manager and Bar Staff are very friendly, hard working and attentive. I would highly recommend you visit this wonderful little pub.

We visited on the 28th March to enjoy the live music as I has been a while. What an amazing night had by everyone. The atmosphere was amazing. Staff were very busy but handled themselves very well. Singing, dancing amazing evening cannot wait for the next 1

Popped in for a few drinks on the way home. YmtmThey had a singer in doing 80s classics, so we stayed to enjoy the crack. The atmosphere was amazing. the great staff behind the jump was busy, but attentive full marks to them thoroughly enjoyed our evening out. Will definitely visit this place again soon

Unfortunately the customer service let us down on our visit to the Green Man. Food was okay, wasn’t 100% as described and some unavailable. Not all members of staff were rude but we encountered one on our visit who was quite blunt and sharp which was not at all welcoming. This was our first time and think it will be our last.

Lovely place service was outstanding, the lady who served us was so kind, chatty & friendly. She was also great with the kids! The manager Jason was also a breath of fresh air to speak to. Very down to earth would recommend to anyone.

The pub is great. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Food is good too. The noise from the planes is absolutely horrendous if you’re sat outside. Such a shame as it has a huge amount of space outside for people to sit.

I visited the Green man this evening, the manager was incredibly hospitable. Very chatty and willing to accommodate my allergy. I think she said her name was Elise, would highly recommend if you are in the local area.

Staying at a hotel near Heathrow, we decided to get out and explore the area ( on foot) . Luckily for us The Green Man is within walking distance. I had wings w/ IPA Hot sauce ( very good) and my husband had fish , chips and mushy peas. My wings were perfectly done ( crispy ) . I would 5/5 recommend dropping in anytime, even if it's just for a pint or two. *Side note - the prices are very reasonable.

We discovered the Green Man Pub while staying near Heathrow, and loved it! The building, which dates from the 1600's is the quintessential British pub! The chef and bartender were wonderfully engaging, and the food was far beyond "pub grub". The fish and chips were perfect, and my wife's wings with their "IPA hot sauce" didn't stand a chance against her! 😁 Highly recommended!

The Green Man is a cozy and friendly spot, perfect for colleagues looking to gather for occasions like leaving dos or Secret Santa parties. This year, we chose it for our Secret Santa gathering and truly enjoyed its tranquil atmosphere and traditional pub setting. While I didn’t get the chance to dine in, we ordered some snacks and French fries, which were decent in terms of taste. The loo was clean, and the staff were warm and welcoming.

Nice joint for socialising, etc. Food is OK.

Jason, Faye, and the crew at the Green Man, were super lovely and accommodating to our Christmas event. Food was lovely, vibes was lovely, great times had all round. Good place to stop for a quick pint and decent steak.

Very crowded even on a Thursday evening. Reasonably priced decent food but many of the items on the menu weren't available.

Had a table booking. Told over an hour wait for food as priority for festival group. No apology, waste of time. Don't book not worth it.

Went here tonight and it was just terrible the lady at the bar was rude and confronting, she was very unkind to other people too, the prices are not bad but for the food we paid for it was digusting, all the meat was well overcooked and was dry, you couldn’t taste the flavour from anything unless it was smothered in salt or some kind of sauce

Decided last minute to eat out and we were not disappointed. Food was lush and drinks were ok. We were well looked after and was very nice with all the Xmas decks.

Although the weather was awful today, we decided to visit this little gem if a pub and enjoy a few drinks and a roast dinner. The food was delicious and the service was good. Dave joined us, the pub cat 🐈 😻

Food average, turned up at 19.16- car parking machine broken and app not working, just copped a £100 fine reduced to £60 for payment on 14 days- be very careful or better still just avoid, not worth the risk, you'd think they'd just have charges during the day, its clearly money making for the car parking rip off merchants and reflects badly on the pub

Great and affordable pub really close to the airport where we were staying, so it was really accessible and cheaper than eating at our accommodation. Would recommend if you're in the area.

Visited the green man pub to catch up with friend.Everything was going well and smooth until, i went place an order. I ordered 2 drinks and a portion of ice cream. At the time didn’t think nothing of it and paid. After some time my friend went to the bar and ordered the same drinks without the Ice cream. And then its got to my attention that the drinks cost £12.60 on its own. but when i checked my statement i have paid £26 something. Just for curiosity when i when to the lady to ask about the prices as i didn’t grab the receipt at the time. the nice lady who has serve me before at the bar told me that she thought i was getting the adult portion of ice cream. (which was completely fine) but besides that the price didn’t match the total. when I ask for the receipt, I’ve been told that they can’t find the specifically my receipt on the system. Then the lady called her “supervisor”. When the supervisor approach me she informed me that she’s has finished her shift at that time and that she will get my contact number and she will update me on that the next day. I provided her with my details and move on with my night. The next day i haven’t received anything from the green man pub. Which makes me very disappointed about the effort the customer service they provide. Also, I would like to mention that I visit the pub many times before and never had any disappointments or complaints. It’s not about the mistake which can happen. I just wanted to share this experience regarding the effort of the staff to the client.

The place is decent... The beer is nice although the service is pretty lousy ... Appears like the person accepting orders doesn't listen to what you are ordering... I am a vegetarian and I ordered a vegetarian fries but she instead got me the one with beef. Later on she replaced it but without an apology... I thought 🤔 they may offer a free pint as a courtesy.. they didn't although. Moreover the dish that she finally brought was also incomplete. I very politely asked her about the missing crispy onions to which she replied coldly the chef didn't tell her that they don't have them anymore.

We are visiting from Australia and we’re staying in a local hotel before flying out. Came here for drinks and dinner- we had a great evening in this lovely pub- friendly staff, good prices but above all the chef Ian was terrific. My wife has a serious allergy and Ian came to the table about 5 times to discuss and offer different solutions- nothing was too much trouble. Both or meals were safe and delicious- thanks Ian - we will be back. Highly recommend this pub for drinks, food and great service.

We booked for 2 adults and 2 children, at 9 p.m. When we arrived the waitress told us that children were not allowed and that the kitchen was closed! However, we had received a confirmation email for our reservation. Our children walked 30 minutes to leave without eating, it's shameful!!!

The root of this pub and inn goes back centuries and I love how they have extended it.

Great little British pub, stumbled across this place looking for something to do before our flight, food was amazing, stuff friendly and the prices were great. Highly recommend going for a few if your near terminal 4.

I've been told it's a place where you can sit and watch aircraft from London. Heathrow we were there about 2 hours. Didn't see one plane.. while this place is a wonderful little out of the way place, the service was wonderful. The drinks were great but the food tasted like it was something that was frozen and microwaved won't be eating there again. But I'd definitely go back and look for airplanes and have a beer.

Went on Saturday morning. Pub area outside had lots of glasses bottles and rubbish around from previous night. Car park opposite was equally filthy (is this just normal in London). If you like plane spotting then clearly this is the place as they go exactly overhead on the finals to LHR. Food was okay and beer equal. Whole place could do with a really good clean and revamp and would be great.

Great value pub near Hatton Cross. Friendly staff, well cooked food. The pie was lovely as was the fish & chips. Would recommend to anyone staying nearby.

Enjoyed the traditional charm of the low roof beams and cosy nooks, and the large beer garden was a lovely surprise. I've added it to my barguide.london site too!

I came in with my family unfortunately it was busy. No apology or consideration for the delay, then what came to my table I can only describe as an inedible microwave burger. This wasn’t enjoyable I in fact felt like I was chewing on a rock. Then when me and wife thought it couldn’t get any worse, we saw the chef go to the toilet. A scruffy, greasy dark haired man. Serious change on management is needed. I was going to express my concerns at the bar, but the blonde lady was already in an altercation with another unsatisfied customer. I think it’s safe to say I won’t be back.

The lad louie was fantastic however the other staff r very rude nothing available pitcher size is rubbish definitely would not be coming back

During my time in the area for work, I decided to stop by the Green Man. This cozy traditional pub offers delicious and straightforward meals in a classic pub grub style. When I arrived, it seemed like they were in the process of changing menus. Nonetheless, I was still able to enjoy my favorite Chicken Ham Leek pie, which they fortunately still had available. The bar lady/landlady provided excellent service, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for all patrons, whether they were regulars or newcomers like myself. With ample outdoor seating, the Green Man is a great spot for a leisurely lunch or a refreshing drink on a sunny summer day. Convenient car parking is also available at this establishment.

Rude service, it took a long time for the order to arrive and the quality was only reasonable... What saved it a bit was the IPA Neck Oil beer, which is very good... Otherwise, it needs a lot better to be a place to recommend

I had a great experience, I came with a group of 13 for celebratory drinks and we were taken care of! Outside seating is lovely and the energy is lively.
