Excellent location central for everything, parking available, spacious rooms large restaurant the food is top class. The best breakfast I have had anywhere I've been all local produce the best. There's a bar and a cocktail bar you must give it a go and a coffee lounge which is really nice and relaxing

The Green Dragon Hotel, Hereford, was an excellent venue for our Monmouthshire Reel Club Annual Ball. The service was outstanding, the food was delicious, and the ballroom was a great space to dance to live music. The Green Dragon events team were also a delight to work with, making organising our event stress-free and easy.

Despite the fiasco with the parking (see important warning below), we had an enjoyable stay at the Green Dragon Hotel. We had a Christmas package that included Christmas dinner and afternoon tea on Christmas Eve. The room was spacious and the bed extremely comfortable, although we felt the all-round beigy-green decor was a bit bland. It really wouldn't cost a fortune to give the place a lick of paint. They go to town with the Christmas decorations in all the public rooms - but nothing in the rooms :( - and it is done in a classy and elegant way. The lounge, in particular, was a lovely environment: spacious, well-lit and airy. It is one of the nicest hotel lounges we have ever been in. As we had dogs, we also ate in there but this was no problem as we used the same corner table for all meals and it felt like home with our own space. There is a small bar which was very busy and popular. The waiting staff were absolutely fabulous. We know how tiring it is to work long hours around Christmas and New Year and they were all so polite, cheerful and helpful: a credit to the hotel and their families. The positive attitude of the restaurant/bar team transformed a good Christmas stay into a great one. CAR PARK WARNING! DO NOT PAY FOR MULTIPLE DAYS PARKING AT THE ‘HOTEL CAR PARK’. Despite the sign saying Green Dragon Hotel Car Park, it is not. It is operated by Euro Car Parks and this is not at all clear. The car park is small and even though you may have paid for multiple days, if you leave and come back there may be no space for your car and you will need to pay to park somewhere else. We found this incredibly disingenuous (and expensive!). Had we known the arrangement was like this, we would have used the public car park just a few metres further away in Little Berrington Street which is about the same price but has three times as many spaces and there were always spaces there. fwiw, Google Maps doesnt realise that both ends of Aubrey Street are two-way, so bear that in mind if you drop people off at the front of the hotel: you dont need to go out onto the ring road to get back to Aubrey Street for the hotel (or Little Berrington St) car park.

Great hotel with lovley rooms. The staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. If you are in Hereford and want a convenient hotel in the middle of town with good food and staff then dont pass this one up

Nostalgic, old-fashioned (decorated) hotel in the heart of Hereford. No card to open your door, just use the key. Wooden floors (carpeted) so it can be a bit noisy, but I always have earplugs with me so it wasn't a problem. Kettle, coffee, tea and tasty cookies in the room. Excellent breakfast (if there is scrambled egg, bacon and rolls then I'm happy) but there was also fresh fruit, yogurt, sausages, etc. Restaurants, pubs and sights within walking distance.

Poped in for a drink after Cathedral show, nice bar, but drinks on the expensive side.

We booked in to the green dragon for a party this weekend, rooms were great for the value, had a meal in the Garrick lounge, their gluten free fish and chips was amazing as was the normal fish and chips. The service from the staff was fantastic nothing was too much trouble, would highly recommend staying and dining here!

Disappointed for the money wr payed for 2nts stayed in room 212 horrible 😪

Really enjoyed the stay at The Green Dragon. The staff are all friendly and knowledgeable and the room was spacious with a comfortable bed. Really like the quirky features as well. Would recommend.

Ok hotel, large room. Old, and worn. But clean and a good bed.

Room a bit small to be called a family room....the sofabed took up all the spare space.the window opened onto a view of a fire escape covered in pigeon poo and cigarette ends...not very encouraging.

It’s the little touches like the cookies that make the difference. Great pillows & duvet. Comfy beds. Blackout curtains were great. Choices of tea & coffee were plenty. Service was lovely Hotel was immaculate Easily the best hotel breakfast I’ve ever had Will be staying again when in Hereford.

We liked the green dragon. The actual building, the staff, and the central location were all excellent. The only gripe was the incredibly slow hot water, making a decent shower all but impossible. Get there early if you want a parking space in the hotel car park.

We were impressed with the hotel. In good decorative order throughout, very clean and with excellent quality food. The bed was very comfortable and the staff were helpful, professional and friendly. The only complaint was that the water ran dreadfully slowly making the running of a bath an endless occupation and the alternative of a shower, a misery. We would definitely stay in this hotel again though

A bit old, traditional local hotel. Rooms are clean, it's nothing luxurious but ok to stay for short time. Nice pub in hotel. Food in the restaurant was ok.

Lovely hotel, rooms could do with a bit of an update but they are lovely and large well equipped. The staff are lovely welc9 in g and friendly, will definitely be back and would definitely recommend.

We travelled to Hereford for the Ferrous Festival and our first visit to the city. Very pleased to find the hotel easily and be able to park so conveniently. We were greeted by the very interesting, quirky and expansive entrance and that set the scene for our stay. Checked in early to drop off bags and get ready for our day of forging and feasting at the Ferrous Festival - we stayed in a Luxury Double on the second floor, and what a room! Everything was clean and the room felt huge. The bed was probably the most comfortable we have ever slept on in a hotel, with various thickness pillows to choose from, which meant we slept...and very well! We chose to go for the buffet breakfast and there were plenty of options, all of which were fresh and flavourful. Plus the staff were great too. In summary: *Great central location with parking *Fantastically comfortable room *Welcoming staff *Good quality food *Would/will stay again *Highly recommend Thank you, Green Dragon Hotel!

There for a drink and draw evening, (life drawing), would recommend if anyone is in the area. Lovely atmosphere, good, quiet bars with knowledgeable staff.

Beautiful building, great restaurant and bars. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Great location for the centre of town.

My partner stayed at this establishment and was impressed with the waiting staff wearing white gloves for service (a rare treat). All in all excellent food, service and price (compared to prices down south!). The room had character but hot water could only be accessed at set times for baths. Otherwise, highly recommended. Bravo!

Had a sandwich lunch here and very poor indeed! Didn't stay overnight so cannot comment on rooms We sat in the Garrick lounge..dirty tables & an unbelievably dirty carpet We would not use the Green Dragon Hotel again
