The Greek Hut in Ipswich

Ordered online yesterday for delivery today 1745-1815 and get a message at 1715 saying they cannot fulfil order. Very disappointing, been using them for ages, will think again now

Ordered at 7pm for delivery. Food did not arrive by 10pm when the restaurant closed so had to ask Deliveroo for a refund. Couldn't speak to the restaurant as there was no answer when trying to call them directly

Ordered through Just Eat, the restaurant opening hours are 12pm-10pm and my order was placed at 12:45. We waited an hour and wondered where our food was, only to find Greek hut had rejected my order! So I called up and was told a pack of lies that they weren’t open but he had already prepared our food and was waiting for a manager to open the door. I asked if I could come and collect my food and was told no and to call back in 15 minutes. Something didn’t seem right but I called back and was told the manager still wasn’t back and the manager will call me. I have had no call. The restaurant has been open as my friend drove past and saw it open. 2 hours later I still have had no delivery or call. Absolutely disgusting service and the staff are liars. DO NOT order at this restaurant, save your time and money. Unreliable, unprofessional and liars.

Amazing food - lots of it - with friendly service and good value too. Have visited before when they’d just opened and just as delicious this time. Took advantage of the indoor seating so nice and warm and look forward to going back when it’s warmer and sitting outside. Highly recommend this place

Ordered a delivery as a celebratory meal via Justeat from the Greek Hut. This is our second time after a lovely first takeaway. Meal arrived but they had left out the loaded fries. I phoned to mention this had been excluded and was told to come in and collect instead. I mentioned that we couldn't do this and was told that they could instead refund the difference for just the loaded fries. Therefore, if you want a takeaway meal and are prepared to collect or have missing main items then fine but this left a bad taste. If I was the Greek Hut I would repair the error and go beyond as a good will gesture.

Had a chicken skewer, and the taste was good. But for £8.50 it had two pieces of chicken in it and loads of salad. Asked about the dessert in the menu, the only thing available was chocolate brownie - not very Greek. Coffee tasted bad. Friendly waitress though.

The food was really fresh, hot, and well seasoned. We had chicken on a skewer which was really good. My wife is gluten,dairy,and egg free and there was no issues. Can't wait to come back!

Awful service, awful food and a manager who has no idea what his doing . Waited for ages in a empty restaurant to be served cold cardboard food. When I tried to complain by email I’ve been ignored.

Yesterday I ordered a meal for me and my husband hoping that we would be as satisfied as we were the first time we came. We certainly was NOT pleased. To start with the meat was partly cooked but mainly raw the food was distasteful and cold. (Not to mention it’s over priced) This morning my husband had woken up with an upset stomach which I’m assuming was the meat as it was the only meal we had yesterday and to top that all off part of our order was missing. Waste of money. Health hazard!!!!

The worst take away we have ever had. We had been looking forward to this after seeing this place be promoted on instragram with "great"reviews. We asked to have a gluten free pitta as its heaving advertised the meals are gluten free on the menu to be told that's stopped and everything needs to be updated! There was a normal pitta in one of the boxes which shouldn't of been there and it was missing halloumi. The food must of been cooked and just sat in a warm server until we collected it. All of it was like cardboard and lacked flavour. Emailed them and heard nothing. Poor service aswell as the food!

Disappointing meal. Overpriced kebab. Ordered the chicken skewer wrap. Not much chicken, salad and chips in the wrap. Luke warm when it arrived.

Ordered for 5:15 delivery having been told my preference of 5pm wasn’t manageable due to workload on Father’s Day. Unfortunately delivery arrived at 5:50pm and driver offered no apology. Meal was Luke warm at best and whilst tasty enough a disappointing first experience overall. Also ordered some additional dips which didn’t arrive in the order.

Looking forward to a friday night takeway thought we would try the Greek hut in Ipswich . R We ordered over the phone a pork and a chicken box some Hulloumi fries and 2 cans of drink to collect in 40 minutes . So collected on time and had our foof order waiting for me in a hot holder ready straight away thinking hopefully its not been holding for long . Paid the friendly server at till , didnt think of the price at the time was a bit shocked it was £29.55 for the takeway . Looking at 5.00 just for two cans of drink wow. So drove a mile back home from the restaurant looking forward to our dinner still shocked at the cost but We thought ok as a one of takeway should be good . As we arrived home openning and trying our food it was dry and luke warm so must of been cooked at least over half an hour ago not 15 to minutes . When you pay that sort of prices I would expect the food to be cooked as fresh possible and boxed up as i arrived to collect or let me wait 5 minutes so its the best quality and piping food for me to takeway . Presentation and flavour were ok cant fault that , I'm not going to enjoy luke warm food for my dinner after ive paid just under £15 ahead for two meals not worth it I'm afraid we wont be returning .

Easily one of the worst meals I’ve had the displeasure of being overcharged for. The quality of the food does not warrant these prices. Everything about it was shocking. Firstly our order was wrong. We asked for specific items to be adjusted but that was missed. The meat was dry and leathery. The chips were freezing cold and dried out. The tzatziki had absolutely no flavour and was basically just warm plain yoghurt. All the food felt like it had been sitting there for days. Absolutely disgusting.

Visited the place today again and the place has already improved. There’s always improvements in business and The Greek Hut is doing the right thing. Tried chicken skewers and that had a very delicious flavour, very well cooked. Also tried the pork skewers and I couldn’t be happier with both chicken and pork. I would definitely recommend this place Thank you for bringing Mediterranean taste in Ipswich ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
