Subway in Ipswich

I’ve got to say, it’s probably one of the friendliest places I've ever been to. The staff were super chatty and made me feel exceptionally welcome. It was such a nice change to feel like they genuinely wanted to chat. No doubt about it, I'll definitely be going back there soon.

Neprofessional staff, rude,and very slowly service!!!

Had a very well made very full Sub. Hats off to the gentleman serving, done well.

Great subs. Staff friendly and plenty of them, which meant that I didn't have to wait long. Very quick and efficient.

The best subway in the world. Very friendly service unlike the other subways we've been to.

Very slow service. Bowls of meatballs that should contain 4 meatballs and some sauce, only have 3 and barely any sauce. I also had to remind the guy to even put the topping on

So stingy with salad bowls. Next too no lettuce not sure what the point in a salad Is with nearly no lettuce and so tight with ingredients. The old staff were brilliant new ones are awful. Bad customer service

I had a problem when ordering through deliveroo, I was told by deliveroo that I should call the restaurant as they would be the ones who could fix the issue, when I called the restaurant I was spoken over when I tried to explain the situation and was spoken to very rudely by what sounded like a young boy, overall I am shocked with the customer service and will be avoiding ordering from there again, majorly let down and disappointed!! As someone who has worked in hospitality I was shocked with how I was spoken to over the phone.

this place is so delicious and i would eat here everyday if i could but i think they need to bring the prices down because £7.50 for a meal deal its shocking but its delicious

I have to say the staff working on the day I treated my daughter to lunch here were so lovely. They were happy, helpful and so friendly. Will definitely stop here on our next road trip through the town.

Updated review as of May 2023. Went in today and was delighted to see they had some vegetarian options now. The two member of staff who served us were very friendly, welcoming and engaging. The sub itself was great and well packaged. I hadn't visited here fo4 a long time due to a previous bad experience but things have definitely improved so I'm happy to give a 5*!

Has gone down hill ordered sausage bacon and cheese breakfast foot long and end up with sausage egg and cheese not impressed at all pluse I asked for ketchup with my hashbrows and got none at all Edit :- this review still hasn't changed

Shocking service slow didn't have enough meatballs in my footlong I had 6 meatballs when the person in front of me had 9 in his the lady never made eye contact with me as she knew I could see she then sheepishly announced there was none left and it would be 20 mins till anyone could have any. I'm not sure but do thr crispy onions go into the microwave I don't think so ! Won't be going back I'll go to the cardinal park one at least they listen there instead of being rude and openly moaning about the delivery drivers

What an absolute disgust. Why was I forced to have stuff on my sandwich which I didn’t want. Subway was always a choice of 4-6 different breads. The main part of the sun was done first asked about toasting it then there was an OPTION of salad. No one should be forced to have peppers if they don’t want them. Will not be going back for an overpriced sandwich again

Absolutely diabolical! Waited over 2.5 hours for my food to be delivered!! Poor delivery driver was sat waiting for Subway to make 3 rolls for all that time. Subway staff lied to me when I called them about likely delivery time then subsequently refused to pick up the phone. Awful! Will never use this place again.

Absolutely shocking! 2 hour plus wait for a just eat delivery. Phoned just after an hour and they said 10 mins. 2 hours later now trying to call them again and no answer!!! Turns up over 2 hours late and guess what... not even what we ordered!

I love Subway... suits my moods when I'm feeling healthy or indulgent and the staff are really nice and combine whatever ingredients you want, even if it's odd :P xx

Would like to have had my dinner from subway tonight but just like a lot of subways, they arent open even though they are meant to be 😡😡😡😡

Absolutely disgusting, ordered 2 subs and both wrong, one should of been meat balls and the other chicken and bacon, the meat ball one was a range of meat thrown in it and the other was a mess and also they added cheese to it which was not on the order, what if I was allergic to it, go down there to ask for it to be remade and was told, no what an absolute joke, will not be going back again

I eat subway salads regularly from different subways. The last two from here were disgusting. Today's the ingredients are past their sell by date (brown lettuce etc). Half the amount you would normally have and swimming in mayonnaise. Disgusting. The face to face customer is not important as just eat orders take preference.

Disappointed with my first visit they had no bread baked. So returned the next day. Best to look to see what they have prepared before making your choice as they ran out of pepperoni at 10m in the morning. Poor selection of vegan and gluten free products

Ordering was quick and they had what i wanted. The only thing that concerned me was one of the staff was not wearing a mask while preparing sandwiches. I don't think at a situation at the moment servers should not be wearing mask for everyone's safety. She might have health reasons but i think there would have been other things she could have done other than prepare food.

Much quicker service this time as more staff. Pleased about that.

Had a wholemeal bread with tuna mayo and salad, staff friendly, was nice and clean, small queue but social distancing was in place. Had a macadamia cookie, was very tasty!

Best Subway in Ipswich, staff care about your food, are friendly and accommodating, the wait you may sometimes have is well worth it. Not the staffs fault if the owner won't let more staff work on shift. Can't fault the sandwiches I've had from here.

Many broken machines lent to a poor offering with many key ommissions.

Who does not love a subway. You choose just what you want on your sandwich. Lots more to choose from. Loving the crispy onions Staff friendly and quick. The Christmas biscuits are yummy. Loved the dark chocolate and ginger

Never eat a subway if you want fresh lol

No customers other than me and took them 20mins to make a sandwich. I could do a more efficient job while drunk.

Subs are good , a quick , cheap filling lunch.

This has to be the slowest Subway in the world. It's really busy and only ever two people working there. Today, one was complaining about a customers Deliveroo order and what was ordered, all the while being on to a receipt whilst making a sandwich. Mmm. Tasty paper.

Staff extremely unfriendly my friend was overcharged for their meal and staff made no effort to rectify this. Please dont go there. 1 star but doesn't deserve that.

They make the best sandwiches here! The staff are super friendly. I can honestly say this is the best subway in the whole of ipswich

I like a Subway. Good service. Clean. Staff were okay. I guess I am a bit of a perfectionist but, when someone is handling my food, I want them to at least look like they are taking care with it.

Close and convenient with friendly staff.

Just a lovely fresh meal. To be able to pick ingredients, so much choice. It's just so yummy.

Handy location, small seating area but benches outside too.

1 member of staff could do with an attitude adjustment other than that it's ok in there, near n handy.
