Absolute last time I will ever order from these clowns. Ordered at 2004, supposed to be here at 2115, long time for a Monday but anyway. Got to 2120 and checked up on where the order was. Apparently it was out for delivery and would be there shortly. Called again at 2130 and was told the same again. Cancelled the order. The driver turned up at 2145. Shambles.

Ordered at 19:15, delivery confirmed for 20:30, called restaurant at 20:45 and was told food was ready and was waiting on driver, still no delivery by 21:10, tried to call to cancel as food would be cold but no answer, contacted just eat and they got no answer from them. Asked just eat to cancel order at 21:30. Over an hour late and over 2 hours wait total is ridiculous, I would have preferred it if the restaurant had given me an honest time and reason, then I could have cancelled when I called and not have to wait a longer to find an alternative. Was told they had received a lot of prank calls, but since we ordered through just eat I don't see why that should delay our order. Can't comment on food quality since we never got it, so just gone for the middle option.

SHOCKING SERVICE!!! The first phone call which was 1hr 20mins after order I was told 'your food is on it's way'... to which I replied would you like my address... the 2nd phone call 15mins later I called back to be to be told just eat send them the orders late do not use them and call us direct therefore my order will be there in 5 to 10mins...3rd phone call I asked is it quicker if I come collect to which they replied not a good idea because you already paid £1 for delivery to which I stated you could just give it me back... 2 hours later when the food arrived the delivery driver mentioned we were not the first ones to complain today. There was no apology on the phone or any goodwill gestures with my order. Very disappointed...

we waited an extra 45 minutes on top of our delivery time only to receive food that was nothing like we have been received the hundreds of times we have ordered from here before. the crispy shredded beef was not meaty at all and was powdery burnt fat, not meat. complete waste of money. child on the phone made it very hard to understand when our food would actually turn up and didn't seem bothered when I complained about the food. I want a FULL refund, this is unacceptable.

Food never arrived and still charged. Can't get hold of just eat for a refund. 25 quid down the drain

food was cold on arrival. "duck in orange sauce" was more like lemon and tasted very odd. very disappointed.

I had to wait over an hour and a half for my order, when it arrived it was wrong. I rang up and they told me it was 100% right and didn't seem to believe me. I was passed onto someone else on the phone who asked me to come collect the missing order. I asked for a refund in the end the finally brought the missing items. The food is good but service was really really bad. Won't be using again.

Our salt and chilli chicken pieces were so good! And the delivery guy was polite. However........Our food arrived an hour and a half after ordering. We ordered mixed salt and chilli appetisers, barely any meat on the ribs and wings, chips were soggy, and there was only one piece of bean curd. The chicken curry was really watery.

Forgot extra chips. Needs a refund

Food was rather disappointing, I ordered crispy chilli and boiled rice in chilli sauce. the beef was beyond crispy and it felt like eating charcoal and there wasn’t enough sauce to even cover it all. the portions of both the meal and rice were small and barely filling. Delivery was very fast though but I won’t be ordering from here again.

Order was pushed back by 30 mins initially and then proceeded to be another 50 mins late. Called the restaurant and was just told the order was on its way without actually giving them any details so they would know what the order was. Proceeded to have a live chat with just eat who rang the restaurant and was told the same thing, that the order was on its way. Absolutely abysmal service, wish for a refund or some kind of compensation or will not be ordering from the Great Wall again

First time from here but didn’t enjoy it. Sorry. About 3-4 bits of chicken in chicken fried rice. Chips cold and over cooked. Ribs really dried out and hard.

well I'm a little bit disappointed to be honest!!! supposed to open at half 4, was still waiting to order online at 5:30 but was still saying offline, rang up and asked what was going on to be told they are no longer taking online orders, decided about half an hour later to ring back and order a delivery anyway to be told they only take cash now!! so cancelled the order! checked online again and they've switched on JustEat!! fuming is an understatement, I've never had a bad word to say about this takeaway, and I've been a loyal customer for about 4 years now, if they didn't do the best crispy duck and spring rolls I'd stop ordering with them! but they do! please open on time and keep the online ordering system!! pleeease or I'll be forced to find another takeaway, and I'd rather not!

The takeaway as been taken over and the service was horrendous, items where missing and when we rang to tell them the phone was answered by a child. Who i now know is only 9 years old,please boycott this takeaway.

usually order from here and love it but tonight wasn't that great . ordered BBQ spare ribs in sauce and they didn't taste a thing like BBQ and where extremely oily and buttery didn't eat them as they just weren't right , rest of meal was ok nice enough but nothing special . little disappointed

Easily the best place for Chinese food in Huddersfield look no where else everything on the menu is yummy. Food is always fresh and piping hot.

The delivery came early and the food was delicious. However, unfortunately there was a large piece of glass in the prawn toast. I phoned to tell them and they apologised. Will order again just a shame about the glass!

foods really nice when they get the order right but make sure you check your order. they missed part of our order which was very frustrating having driven to collect it.

All the food was cold when it arrived. Combination starter was very poor quality as was my special chow mein. Will never order from here again... Massive disappointment

Food arrived earlier than stated but it was stone cold!! Not what I expected when it only comes from 1.2miles away. Maybe invest in some insulated bags for your deliveries. Definitely will not order again waste of money.

ordered from here tonight and I must say it is the worst food I have ever had. it was late but not by much so can't really fault that but the food was stone cold. the rice was rock hard and the chips looked and felt reheated. disappointed

I love this Chinese!! We order from here almost weekly, food always fresh, piping hot, and delivered before time stated, always the correct order and the crispy duck (my personal favourite) is the nicest I've ever had from any Chinese takeaway!! Always recommending to friends and family!

ribs were wonderful but the shredded Crispy beef was very chewy which is unusual as it's normally spectacular

Always excellent food and service from this establishment. Usually arrives before the promised time (depending on how busy they are), pleasant drivers. Food is hot and tasty, great portion sizes. Plenty to share.

Brought wrong curry but to be fair it's the first time they have ever got it wrong Salt and pepper chicken is really good

I ordered through just-eat and took a leisurely stroll down. i've never ordered from there before or ever met the people in there, i'm only here for a job... yet the girl on the counter as soon as i walked in just handed me the food before i even said anything! how did she know it was me? spooky. good food.

Special fired rice is not boiled rice with 4 prawns, a bit of chicken and some chopped spam. The noodles tasted like supernoodles soaked overnight in soy sauce. The prawn toast was nice but they buy that in prepared. Thought id try somewhere new, im definately not happy about parting with £22 for a meal my 14yr old could cook

Duck which costs us £16 turned up cold with no hoisin sauce. They said it would be half an hour for them to drop off some hoisin sauce. Ended up giving the food back as wasn't happy with the service and quality of food.

Chicken fried rice was fab BUT thought beef was going to be crispy and was disapppointed that there was no crispy beef option. Also too much veg no very happy

Have ordered from here before and previously been impressed, but unfortunately I didn't really enjoy this meal. I found the chicken in the chicken curry to be quite poor quality, didn't get a very full container of egg fried rice, and too much onion in the curry. The chow main was ok but a little bland to be honest. Overall wasn't an enjoyable meal so didn't eat it all, threw quite a lot of it away.

They came within 15 mins but forgot half my order... Including my drink! Also the prawn rolls tasted like they had been cooked five times.

Really tasty food, had plenty of sauce and the batter wasn't too thick. Definitely coming back

Was allright, sweet n sour was good, all food was hot, curry was a strange like some form of potato wad used as a thickening agent. All food was ok though, curry was edible, just not to my taste is all.

Ordered in advance for 8pm. Turned up 20 mins late. Food was still hot though. Apart from that, can't fault it!

This chinese delivers quailty meals ever time quickly and perfectly cooked. I used to work for this takeaway as a delivery driver and i can personally guarntee the cleanliness is spot on. Best chinese in huddersfield by far.

Couldn't fault it, we've just moved to Huddersfield and this was our first take away, we clicked so lucky. Everything was spot on!

AVOID!! Ordered takeaway - arrived originally an hour late. Food eventually arrived and there was missing 3 portions of salt/pepper chips. We then rang up the takeaway and told them that they had forgotten to include all three portions and they were incredibly dismissive of our request. We then waited an EXTRA HOUR for ONLY one portion! So then AGAIN we rang up after being left on hold for what seemed like an eternity, before we requested a refund and they accepted a meager sum of 7.50, which we never received!! Awful service, poor standard of food and unwilling to apologise for their mistakes. Will not be using this takeaway again!

Great takeaway, no complaints at all

Order arrive a hour n half after ordering with half the order missing I was then told they would send the rest and it would be a hour!! I said this is not good enough the rest will be cold by the time it gets here he said ok it will be 10mins then so I agreed and began eating. A few mouthfuls in I found a bone in my chicken (chicken and black bean dish) I phoned the restaurant again and explained to them what I found to which they told me it can't be we use boneless chicken and we're very rude to me on the phone. I told them I would like a refund and he wasn't happy and said only if all food is there because people do it all the time and just leave a few mouthfuls. I said obviously I had started eating but the majority of it was there and to send a driver out to inspect the chicken and I would happily show him the evidence. I had just given birth to my daughter the day before and as you can imagine was counting down to the takeaway arriving and hormones all over the place so for the restaurant to treat me the way they did was very distressing for any woman never mind a very hormonal woman! That had just given birth. A driver did come out in the end and accept it was a bone but I had to phone just eat myself to get a refund. 3 hours from ordering to getting my refund. Disguising! Will definitely not ever order again

Food was ok, arrived before expected time but no prawn crackers as stated after we spent over £15 and we ordered 3 cans if diet coke and received 3 cans of normal coke

I was very impressed by the speed at which I received my order. The food was freshly cooked and tasted great.

Food quality was quite tasty not the best but still enjoyable. Delivery was faster than expected but the driver did not leave a receipt for the order. When I called the restaurant they where not happy to send the delivery driver back but I asked them if the driver could drop it in on his next delivery in the area (I am situated in the center of town) they said ok. When the driver arrived he insisted that I had to pay him for the receipt so I had to call the restaurant again and they where not happy but the gave in.

Barbecue ribs probably worst I've ever eaten!

This was my favourite take-away with out a doubt, service, price, tasty food all spot-on but recently the potions have been getting smaller and smaller. I asked spoke to them about this and it made no difference. It's a little disappointing.
