Sibu in Kirklees

First time trying this and I wasn’t disappointed. The food was lovely, big portion sizes. Service was average and the food came out as and when it was cooked rather than altogether which meant some dishes were getting cold whilst waiting for the others. I think there should be options to remove certain sauces/salad (especially for kids). We ordered the chicken bao bun, kids fishfingers bao bun - didn’t get the juice though. There was no ice cream or desserts although it was on the menu. Pleasant experience overall. Could be so much more with better service and attention to detail.

Food has gone down hill from the last time I had it, extremely dry and just not value for money at all had better else where standards have droped served by teenagers who where clueless

We were served by the wonderful young lady called aifa who was very attentive and kind..nothing seemed too much for her, we moved tables a couple of times and she was happy to accommodate us. The food was absolutely banging, we all loved the wings the bao bao buns were really nice too.. will definitely be returning in the near future in shaa Allah

We went for the first time to try Sibu food was delicious and the service was up to mark specially Aifa thank you for it.

The food here is always amazing, it never disappoints. The service was brill, Aifa looked after us and was really attentive. The decor inside is really nice and the place is clean. Definitely one to try if your in the area.

Aifa served us today and was so lovely. Food was really good and portions were so big, I couldn't finish it (had to take it home). The place has good boycott alternatives for fizzy drinks which is so considerate of them.

Aifa served us and she was really lovely, made sure we had everything we needed. Food was great, big portions! Had to take the rest home. Only downside is it’s very loud so it’s hard to hear the person you’re sat with.

Amazing service from Shamsa she was very attentive and sweet and made sure we’re ok even when it got busy. The food was also amazing my fave was the volcano roll and the ying yang wok. 10/10

Overall it was a good experience. Food was nice, I think it solely depends on your tastebuds to choose what you prefer. We had a few issues with the food being cold, and the chicken being raw however it was sorted straight away. Romana was amazing, she checked up on us frequently and sorted the issues out straight away and she was so lovely. Definitely with trying out!x

Food was amazing only to be outdone be the brilliant service. Beef brisket bao buns were 10/10. Special mention to Arifa/afeefha( can’t remember the name) who was really attentive. She was working the floor.

Amazing food. We ordered 4 dishes and all of them were perfect. The service was excellent; it was fast and efficient. We was waited on by Aifa who was very attentive and professional, and looked after us well. I will definitely come back (iA), and recommend the place to everyone!

Everything was perfect from the food to the service. We got boa chicky wow buns, dynamite chicken, fuji fries and korean fried rice. We got excellent service from Aifa and Maham.

Served by Aifa today, amazing service and made sure we were well looked after. The food was served very quickly, Aifa made sure everything was perfect and if we needed anything throughout. *side note: you should be able to upgrade your sides like to spicy chips for an extra cost instead of having to order them separately and allowing food wastage

I ordered 2x BAO CHICKY and 2× PAd Thai and had raw chicken in both. This is a food safety issue, raw chicken causes food poisoning. The manager refused to accept this issue and admit they got it wrong. This place must be avoided at all costs. This place should be shut down. The manager and chef have no clue and sent out raw chicken. I will be complaining to environmental health and TSO. THIS IS SIBU IN BATLEY **BE WARNED**

Amazing food and service by aifa

Usually this place in on top form however for the past year or 2 the prices have gone up (which isn't a problem but it is when the quality of food goes down. Ordered on Uber Eats and had the half price offers.. if you're going to skimp on the quality then what's the point in the "offers".. Dynamite chicken was NOT Dynamite sauce it was a spicy mayo rather than the Aioli they normally use ( you can tell by the light in colour sauce than than the deep orange/red it usually is. The boa buns looked like the kids version.. Tiny little prawns on the sushi.. and did NOT taste good again the quality of food went down!! Just everything in general!!

Food tasted beautiful and the staff were so welcoming and helpful when attending to our needs. Would definitely recommend!

Went for a family meal with the wife and son. Ordered food at 8pm. Portion of chips was served at 8.15, my food came at 8.30 and my wifes food came at 8.45 and the salt and pepper chips came 10mins after that. Was offered £20 and a voucher which was refused. But the point is the person sending the food out and crossing items off the bills had no idea of time management. They were sending stuff out without any time management and without an explanation they were giving complimentary chicken strips but they were wrong orders for other tables being passed off as complimentary. Overall a very bad experience, one I was not expecting. If you know you're busy and it's a weekend you need to get proper staff who understand time management instead of letting everyone loose and owners are sat behind the counter just staring. It's like they're scared to apologise or face the music for their errors. I hope you guys take this on board and you shouldn't take the money so fast if your food is going to be served slow. Regards

Ordered an angus steak for delivery and for the price of £20 food was disappointing came with rice and about 5 chips in a small box. Steak was very chewy and mostly fat nothing amazing. Chips were nice but only about 5 of them in the box. Portion size was small. Overall disappointing not sure what all the buzz is about this place will definitely not be ordering again

What a lovely place to visit ! Went tonight on a busy Saturday night. We were served by Romana who was very friendly.All the staff were extremely friendly, working very hard to make sure they look after their customers. They all had big smiles on their faces when serving the food.There was a minor issue when half the order was delayed, the staff apologised and even brought us a complimentary dynamite prawns ( Shamsa). Aifa brought us a gift voucher :) Amazing customer service skills at this place ! Many thanks to Aifa, Romana and Shamsa and all the staff . You have all been brilliant tonight and are a great credit to the place. Well done!

Resturaunt is an hour away but it’s so worth it, the food is unimaginably good, the service is impeccable (we were served by a lovely young lady named aifa I believe) and the decoration and atmostphere was so lovely. Wold recommend the Fuji fries for sure, salt and pepper wings, and the doner side

Took the Mrs out for valentines yesterday at sibu as it was a recommendation from a gujrati friend, I have to say firstly if anyone is expecting fine dining like I was then you've deffo come to the WRONG place, inside was small and cramped looked more like a ooodles to me, soo many delivery drivers just stood with big boxes, next came the customer service from the lady at the till, very very moody angry grumpy could not be bothered wanted to go home type of attitude, good thing was we were seated right away and the food was decent but yet again when asking a waiter a question about the drinks all I got was an angry look and sorry were not doing them and she walked away. Just to add the cherry to the cake after our meal we decided to take some pictures together, a other waiter comes and says I need to tidy the table, I mean what utter nonsense it's like she wanted us to get up and go home. Horrible experience not due to food but the customer service unless your either a food reviewer or a gujrati u will be on the vip list for good service otherwise its the rest room for u.

Visited with a family of 7. The food was lovely and the service was exceptional. Had.an issue with one of the dishes which had an ingredient my mum was allergic to. Our waitress, Aifa, was quick to sort out this problem, with a smile on her face. The food and the service throughout was fantastic and made this a memorable experience for my family and I. Great service from Romana too. Will definitely be back again.

beautiful restaurant perfect for lunch or birthdays, staff are lovely. Had a two lovely waitresses called Shamsa and mubarasha who made us feel very welcome and were very quick with the service. Would recommend to everyone and will definitely be returning!!

I actually visited sibu afew months ago I traveled from Birmingham and let me tell you, the food and service was incredible! The owner Recommended me afew dishes which was 10/10 and the girl who served me at the till with the loose scarf went above and beyond to make sure I had a fantastic experience. She deserves a pay rise and also left her a nice tip for her service. I can’t recommend sibu enough definitely recommend if your in the area,Will definitely be visiting again

Visited Sibu this evening and would come again. Ifah was very helpful at the tills and recommended the wok+roll korean which was delicious, thank you! And Rumana was at our table seing to our needs and checking in on us which was very polite and considerate. Both ladies made it a pleasant experience and a credit to the restaurant. Thank you! Ordered lunch on Wednesday, recieved the 50% off sushi and the wok and roll. Called in around 12.15 and got a phone call at 12.30 to say the food was ready. Picked up. Food was spot on portions where decent too. Thanks once again will definitely be ordering again and this offer is not to be missed!

I struggle with this place as I love love love the food … simply amazing. The mixed sushi platter is to die for. But the service, especially trying to phone an order in, is poor and needs work. Can be soooo much better to match the food.

Have been on the restaurant's Instagram page for a while, and then I decided to celebrate my husband’s birthday with all the delicacies and I wasn't disappointed with every bit of the food was tasty and delicious. My first time having Asian food and I loved it, the customer service was notched Aifa helped in taking pictures of us and she attended to us so softly and calmly, oh I forgot to say they helped me write HBD to my husband which was the sweetest part🥺 Thank you Sibu🥺 we'll love to come again

Good food and very friendly staff. I just wish that they serve food together .. we were 11 people and food was served separately. Nice clean seating area and reasonable prices.

Visited sibu today and the food and service was amazing. The owner was so kind and gave us a complimentary main meal and drink. We ordered the sushi, dumplings, steak and pad Thai and i couldn’t complain about any of it. I would definitely recommend to everyone and I’ll be back soon!

First time visiting Sibu, and certainly won’t be the last! Absolutely stunning food, wonderful, friendly staff and super fast service! Gorgeous restaurant with a lovely atmosphere. We bought a variety of bowls: butter chicken, chicken satay skewers, Singaporean noodles, pad Thai noodles, and were also kindly given a complementary chicken bao meal. Every single dish was beautiful. My personal favourite was the butter chicken, the best I’ve ever had! Quality 10/10, flavours 10/10, presentation 10/10, and service 10/10. Fantastic experience and will certainly be returning. Thanks sibu!

We ordered Korean noodles and Boa buns, never disappointed with the food or the service every time I've been, food came within minutes, if you like a spicy kick then Korean is what to go for, and good portion.

The service is really good, and the food is tasty. We've been to Sibu multiple times and enjoy the atmosphere whenever we go. We would have preferred the old menu not to have been altered so much but overall no complaints about the dishes.

This is an excellent eatery the staff are always polite always helpful the food is always brought to the table quickly and it’s absolutely delicious. I would give this place 10/10

Decent restaurant. Interior is good. Food was generally good The Fuji chips didn’t really hit the spot. Mongolian Beef was very rich in flavour. Singaporean Noodles seemed a bit bland. Staff were a bit moody. On Street Parking. Accept card payments. Have to order at till and pay first. HMC Approved. Edit. Tried the Korean chicken with noodles and Volcano Sushi on the 2nd visit. Both rated 5/5.

Been coming here for a while, great food all the time service is nice easy to use simply come in scan and go to order at the till , recommendation for just the business to order via the QR code so it comes to your table as some places do, no complaints 10/10

Havent been back since our last disaster trip here but thought we would give it another go because the food is usually spot on its the service that lacks. I came with my 2 daughters 11 and 14. Went to till to order and was faced with the miserablist woman ive ever met she never cracked a smile. Ordered 4 items which came out one at a time with 10 mins between each item. If i wanted to eat alone id of eaten at home. So obviously once all the food was out the first item was cold. I asked why it was all being sent out separately and was told it just gets sent out as its made. The couple on the next table came in about 15 mins after us and they got their food and left before we did..not to mention the freebies they got at the end. No compensation for our late and cold food Just a 'oh' The girls bringing the food out were polite but it means nothing when the above happens
