Sibu is one of my fav local places! So I brought my brother from london with me, he loved the food and the service by Sumairaa was incredible, she was so friendly, jolly and helpful, great customer service!

Have been to sibu a few times now as the food is not bad. But every time I go the service gets more and more unprofessional. The staff definitely need training.

Would never in my life order from here again. Got two salt and pepper wings. And pulled brisket bao bun. The bun and chips came cold. And my wings was missing. I just got some soggy salt and pepper chips. After the ringing the store and going back and fourth with the staff who told us to just make a new order of something small and they’ll send some wings out for free we explained that this would still us cost us money (delivery fee and service fee) we asked to speak for the manager who told us to make the order and they would refund the new order and the old order for the inconvenience which we agreed to. He sent out some wings and an extra of gyzos (which we didn’t even eat) But he just left a refund in the envelope with the order of £12 which didn’t even fully cover the price of both the wings?? So we didn’t get compensated for the inconvenience again. And we got short changed on the refund. Extremely disappointed in the service and I would not come back or ever order again. The customer service really lacks and I will definitely be sharing my experience with others Edit - I don’t know why you added chicken gyzos if we wanted chicken gyzos we would have ordered them. If you wanted to add an extra why don’t you ring and ask so nothing goes to waste? - you provided me with an £8 voucher on uber eats which I’m never going to use as I would never order from you guys again. - and my point was the manager told us he would refund the entire order and the new one he asked us to make. And that was NOT honoured. - what you could have done to make the experience better was honour what you said in the first place. Not thinking you done me a favour by making me place a whole new order and adding in an extra for something we didn’t ask for. We had one child eat his food and then had another wait another 40 minutes for his food to come because he wanted his wings. When you are busy and cannot organise the correct service, perhaps rethink if you are in the right industry?

Good atmosphere. Friendly and attentive staff. Good portion of food, though I was disappointed by the 5 chicken dumpling portion. However, it was tasty. We had a mixture of noodles, pulled brisket bao, and Korean fried rice. We enjoyed and certainly recommend.

We got a lot from the menu and there wasn’t one thing we didn’t love the brisket bao buns were insane so soft, the sushi was so fresh!! Was served by aifa who gave us a bunch of recommendations which was all delicious. All the staff were very welcoming and friendly can’t wait to visit again

Staff were very attentive and well spoken. Starters were delicious, we had the volcano rolls, dynamite prawns and chicken satay. Portion size was very good and food was presented well. Mains were bought out while we were still eating our starters, would have been nice to have a little break. We had beef Mongolian which wasn’t to my taste, it was rather bland and just didn’t hit the spot. We had it with rice and noodles, rice was abit to over spiced and the crackers put on the plate were stale. I would visit again and maybe try something else in the menu. The place is clean and the interior is nice, not over the top with deco. It was nice and warm. Drinks selection is also good!

The stir fry is horrible and the only good thing was the dynamite prawns, I’ve come here many times but this time it disappoints, the staff are also just rude and dump the plates onto your table and they blast loud music to which you can’t even hear yourself think. There is some parking down the road but other than that this is a place you should avoid.

Below average street food, poor sushi and overall not worth the money. When ordering I’ve asked for two bottles of sparkling water and the girl at the says we don’t have any, without evening looking at the fridge behind her. When I said look there are she still says no we don’t, until another staff told her just to go and put it on 😀 Like cmon it’s not that hard to remember 5 different type of drinks you have in the fridge? And then just dumps the food on the table. Honestly, some basic hospitality should be taught to the staff. Mixed up , didn’t double check the order. Typing this and wasting my time so that other people know it’s not great!

I wish management would realise that it's more important to look after its loyal and regular customers than it is to provide free meals to so called influencers. Couldn't believe that eating in and paying for food that has gone up substantially in price and reduced in portion size still entails paying an extra £1.95 for a small tub of sauce that used to come with the meal. I have been visiting for the last 4 years and each time I go, it becomes more and more disappointing. Please get your priorities right otherwise you will lose your loyal customers.

Delicious food and good service

First time visiting here with family for dinner. Pleasantly surprised with food quality & cuisine. It wasn’t overly hot food but pleasantly spiced. The bao buns were beautifully soft, portion sizes of mains were filling enough for most people. The decor was nice as was the atmosphere, not too tight or noisy. The menu has ample range but not too much that it was hard to decide what to eat. Pleased it is a HMC certified restaurant, would be great if tap water could be provided too.

Went with a large group last week. Showed to the table then just left us with out telling us we had scan the bar code to view the menu and didn't even tell us we had to go to the tills to place an order. When the food came the waitress didn't even know what food was what, so we had to tell the waitress what is what. The lamb chops where raw. Whilst we where still eating they started to clean up the table. I'd give it a zero star if I could, save your money and go somewhere with better food/service.

Ali the Ower gave me the best customer service I've seen in ages, hard to find in this day and age, 10 out of 10 on everything, would defo recommend to anyone who hasnt tryed hes food to defo pop down and see for your self u won't disagree with me I promise, I'm a fussy eater so it's hard to find stuff I like but this is foreshore on my list of great food places I've ever been to thank u so much Ali keep up the good work 👏 🙌

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Sibu Asian Fusion with my Mrs for lunch, and I must say the experience was exceptional, thanks in large part to the outstanding service provided by Nisba at the till. Nisba was incredibly friendly and professional, ensuring that our order was taken swiftly and accurately. It's easy to overlook good customer service, but when you encounter service as excellent as this, it deserves to be recognized. Good staff are the backbone of any successful business, and Nisba exemplifies this perfectly. She not only follows KPIs but exceeds customer expectations—exactly the kind of employee every business needs. A big thank you to Nisba and the team at Sibu for making our lunch experience so enjoyable. We will definitely be returning!

Went in on Friday for a meal with my friends, the overall experience was great but one worker who took my order was having trouble understanding me and didn’t speak much English, also he gave me more change than I was expecting back as I paid with cash and when I addressed this with him he didn’t seem to understand the difference between a 5p and a 10p. When the food came to my table we were served by a young woman who I believe is called afiya, she kept coming to our table mid meal and asking for reviews on google mentioning her name which made us very uncomfortable. Other than that the food was amazing and set the standard, will definitely be returning. Back again with an updated review on my experience at sibu. Went in with family today was greeted by lovely waitresses who were really helpful with the menu leeba and hena throughout our meal they made sure we had everything we needed and were content. However we did have a small issue with the sushi and when we addressed this to the manager named afifa she didn’t really seem to be interested in resolving the matter. Smiling and apologizing was not going to compensate for the inconvenience, also my sister noticed she rolled her eyes and mumbled something as she walked away which we found quiet rude. I do suggest they look into their management and make appropriate changes.

(especially from this young lady with braces) 😀 The atmosphere was layered with warm lighting, creating a casually comforting environment.. Tables, sofas, and bathrooms were clean meeting the top standards. 👍🏼 The food was incredibly delicious! 🤤 The Sushi was super fresh, light and yet satisfying! Our waiter was EXCELLENT!! She really could not have been better. We relied upon our waiter's experience to select and create a display of customised dinner options...... and you guys was spot on for everything! It was all delicious and scrumptious !! 😋 We even requested a second order for takeout. She truly and surly is the most sweetest angel :) she treated us like VIPs. 🫶🏼 We will be returning. You have earned customers for LIFE.😌 Everything was handled really nicely from the minute we arrived until we departed. I thank the people for putting together such a positive experience. I am already looking forward to my next visit. 💨

This place was disappointing, service was horrible and food was a let down. We were shown to our table but sat there clueless as we were not told to scan the barcode and then get up to place an order. And to top it off the servers didn’t know basic English. It was my first time visiting so was not sure on how to place an order. Portion sizes were small and overpriced. Food was freezing I bit into it and my teeth were in pain lol. The seating was weirdly low felt like I was sat on the ground eating my food. Food was expensive and not worth the amount I had paid. Only thing that was fresh and nice was the chips, asparagus and prawns. Staff looked bored and were eating behind the counter. One even approached us with a full mouth. At the end of my meal the owner came and asked about the food, once we had expressed our opinions he then did nothing and it also seemed like he didn’t understand what we were saying. Overall, not with the hype and if you really wanna check it out stay on the safe side and get chips or prawns.

Another overhyped tiktok place. The service was appalling. Waitresses were absolutely clueless, couldn't even point us to our tables let alone give any info about wether they take orders or if we need to order ourselves. We sat waiting around as it was our first time and no one came and told us you have to order at the till then they bring your food. The food itself was disgusting, we paid around £35 per head and it was not worth it. The sushi was literally freezing cold and you could tell its not freshly made. The drinks looked pretty but they were nothing above average. Dynamite prawns were the best thing but you can find them in any other restaurant. Overall wouldn't recommend this place. We could hear other tables also disappointed as the presentation of the food was the only good thing.

Overhyped place. Only good thing about this was the aesthetic lol. Sushi was cold and not fresh, chicken was very salty, waitresses were clueless and not capable of knowing basic English. Best part of this meal was the chips. Very disappointed as we paid a huge amount for only 3 people.

The service at Golden Lotus is commendable. I specially love their sushi, i remember my server Aifa a member of their staff with level-headed approach to work and great customer service and thank for her recommendation to try it out and it was totally worth it. I'd love to try it again.

This place is superb, we drove from Manchester to come here and it was worth the drive. The fact they serve so many different dishes from all parts of Asia and seem to get everything so right is a credit in itself. Even on a Wednesday night the place was hammered from the minute we got there until the minute we left and we can now see why. Highly recommend if you are in the area.

Food has got no flavour at all it’s so plain and depressing. The chicken buns were so tasteless , chicken very thin and hard , rice and chicken with brown sauce was horrid tasted like lentils. If you like spice and herbs do not visit. Waste of £50 what a robbery

I came in with my wife on a lunch break to have some food. Wife ordered a Bao Chikey wow - she enjoyed it. I ordered the steak , asked for it to be rare to medium rare. Came to me well done. Gave them the benefit of the doubt and sent it back , waited for my food to come back. Steak was cooked better but appears it wasn't rested, I can get past that. What's not excusable is the blandness of the peppercorn sauce and it's consistency it was like water ontop of the steak, no effort has been put into it. A good sauce really helps elevate any dish and this just wasn't good at all , tasted of nothing. Waste of money and waste of time. Excuses: short staffed, but it didn't appear like anyone really cared about the experience. Highly disappointed.

Food was perfect. Service was okay, could be better. Was greeted and shown to our booked booth. No explanation on how to order. You have to scan the QR code on the table and then get up and place your order and pay at the counter. Would be nice to explain this as it was out first time here. The drinks were room temperature so asked for glasses with ice. Which they sorted quickly. Food was good though, will be visit again.

SIBU is the most authentic Asian food restaurant with amazing and tasty flavours from different asian countries. Customer Service is excellent I had been there 4 times and no issues so far. I'll always recommend my family to visit and try their amazing food.

Probably one of the worst meals ever . not many in restaurant . Ordered red prawn curry had 4 prawns along with a plate full of raw onions . Everything was over spiced with no taste looking like someone’s left overs Apologies in advance as chef may have been off sick

The customer service wasn’t good. Staff need training on customer service: not paying attention when taking an order, bringing a bottle of water with no glasses, not asking how the meal is or afterwards. The steak was small and not the best. The noddles and buns tasted good but overpriced for portion size unfortunately. Nice concept but need to make big improvements, it seemed like the owner was telling the staff his life story behind the counter for the whole restaurant to hear instead of asking customers about their experience.

Aifa was our server and made our experience more special. Food was outstanding, we got half price on street bites on a Wednesday but would gladly pay more.

Nice decor and table setting. Good variety of food on the menu. Food gets a 4 star as portion sizes could be bigger and because of a lack of consistently- had the exact same order twice but tasted completely different. Service was also slow given that there was only one other table occupied. Could also hear the staff arguing which was a bit awkward. Will be visiting again and updating this review.
