Tasty Life in Kirklees

We have ordered from here twice over the last month and the food for a TAKEAWAY is excellent. Both times delivered (2miles away) and both times the food was piping hot. We have had the special szechuan, beef in black bean and chicken in OK, all very tasty.

Special curry was beautiful nice little spice ..I asked for ex spicy Singapore vermicelli ..absolutely beautiful..all meats in every dish we're cooked to perfection..meat fell apart in the curry .so flavoursome..I won't go to any other Chinese..love you tasty life 😋

Just polished off a large munchie box a 5piece snack box and noodles. Between 4 adults Absolutely delicious loads of flavour and still some left over this will definitely now be our new local chinese thank you for a lovley tea

Just missing 1 portion of prawn crackers as it said one free bag with orders over £25 and we spent £60 so thought we would get 2 and sweet and sour sauce with prawn crackers would be good but all very nice other wise

The rice was tasty. Everything else was terrible. Beef in oyster sauce was inedible, duck in garlic and chilli was slimy . Spare ribs were dry and col, soup was a bowl of jelly. I’d never order from there again . EVER!

The food was an hour and a half late and when I ate it, there was no taste. I will not be ordering from here again

Ordered my food at about 18:00, delivery time said 19:30 to 19:55. At about 18:35 while upstairs I heard a knock at the door, ran down, opened the door to find my delivery on the doorstep with the driver in his car and leaving. Disgusting behaviour, won't be ordering from here again.

Food was earlier than the estimated time but for some reason they never say when it’s out for delivery and I almost missed it! The food itself was spot on as always

Had great service in the past but this time a great disappointment. Arrived late. Took just over 2 hours from ordering to delivery. Why accept orders if you can't fulfill them in a reasonable timeframe.

Great tasting food, delivered in time

The salt and pepper munch box was hot and cooked well but there was little to no seasoning at all. The salt and pepper chicken pieces were basically plain chicken nuggets, the chips were plain and the ribs were tasteless. The best thing was the curry sauce. If there were more seasoning then I would recommend but not as i got mine for the first time ordering from there too.

Unfortunately i didn't get fried rice with my sweet and sour chicken. It doesn't state this on the menu. For the price, rice should be included

Everything we ordered was completely inedible. It’s all completely reheated from a few days before & with the prices they charge I don’t know how they get away with it. Won’t be back here again any time soon.

It had decent reviews so we gave it a chance but lord nothing had flavour. I got the munch box and it literally only had chilli. No flavour, only heat. S&S sauce was bland, egg fried rice overpowered everything so it all tasted eggy. The wings in the box only tasted of chicken which was overpowering. Very disappointing, don't think we'll be ordering again. Waste of £30

Have to leave a review here as unable to on cancelled ones. This place has a habit of accepting orders then cancelling them because they're too busy. Just a FYI to be aware, so you don't do what I do and sit about waiting for hours hungry not realising.

When we collected we was told we dont get the free prawn crackers as we ordered on just eat, even though it says it on the app. Tried to buy some but they dont take card so was left with disappointed kids

The food was ok... Though of the 6 dishes we ordered non blew me away. Delivery was around an hour's so on the long side but not much longer than stated in the estimated time when choosing the restaurant. The restaurant didn't update just eat with each stage.

On time but been a loyal customer for years, feel like it’s been taken over as the quality of food was poor, no flavour and soggy payed a lot of money as the prices have gone up and was really tasteless. Very disappointing from a usually banging takeaway. Food was just dropped on door step as driver sped off listening to violent rap music

Good food but very expensive. You can buy the same quality food much cheaper elsewhere. I have no complaints other than the extortionate prices

The chips unercooked, noodles tasted like they had been reheated and the prawn crackers soggy! Ribs nearly any meat on and sauces thick and glupy. Disappointed overall… prices gone way up and quality couldn’t be any worse!

Excellent value good food nice to have Chinese that's not over salted.

Having ordered from here before we expected a certain quality of both food and service, we were bitterly disappointed. We ordered 2 pancake rolls, which when delivered turned out to be phenomenally expensive spring rolls. Our other food was very greasy and somewhat smaller portion sizes. Disgraceful value for money at £31 for 2 us. We shall never again be ordering food from here!

Ordered chicken satay dish on 10/11/22. Women in phone stated it would come with chestnut and bamboo shoots . Meal was delivered really fast. Charged me £9.10. Container not packed to the top and also did not have water chestnuts and bamboo shoots as promised. Also price is ridiculous, will not be ordering again for sure. This is how now a business suffers as customers go else where.

Food was luke warm and arrived after time slot. Food was pretty flavourless.

The bbq ribs tasted like note am ribs with no sauce. The beef in garlic sauce was way too over cooked, and the chicken in black bean was really spicy.

Finally found the perfect Chinese takeaway! Since moving to the area three years ago I have tried to find a good Chinese. After a couple of friends recommended Tasty Life we decided to try it. Food was delicious, portions were generous and the over all meal was perfect. Thank you 🙌

Ordered some food over the phone to collect and told when to pick it up. Arrived at the agreed time to be told by the person I spoke to that there wasn't anything for me to collect. She remembered the order, passed it to the chef but nothing came back from the kitchen. Apparently she couldn't ask the chef about it due to him not speaking any English. And that was that as far as she was concerned - she had done her job correctly, what else could I expect her to do. They don't know what they're doing!

Not sure whether the chef has changed but neither main dish we ordered seemed to be as expected. Had really good food in the past from them so was looking forward to it but was disappointed. Was edible and warm but that’s about it. Will order from elsewhere next time.
