The Grain Loft in Trafford

Does it even class as a weekend away if it doesn’t start with a Vodka, a cooked breakfast and a massive hug with Kostas at The Grain Loft?! Our trip to Paris got off to a great start this morning thanks to Kostas who is ALWAYS pleased to see us despite it being so busy! Our breakfast was cooked to absolute perfection and delivered to us in record time. The booth was clean and spacious and perfect for us to relax before our flight. I will say it before and I’ll say it again; they broke the mold when they made Kostas - he’s definitely one in a million! Thank you so much for looking after us so beautifully as always. See you next time!!

We had some food before out flight to Malta. Service was excellent in particular from Kostas. He is a true gentleman and sat with us briefly to talk about our holiday. Manners and fantastic customer service are rare nowerdays. But I can't speak highly of Kostas! Thank you so much and you most definitely have create a memory for us and hopefully one day see u again.

Kris from Didsbury was a nice fella!

Nice place to relax before a long flight. Great menu and drinks options Fast turnaround wait was between 7 and 12 minutes. Eggs benadict was just the ticket to set me up for a long flight. They don't rush you out if you want to hang for a while after food either. Staff where very friendly and helpful, shout out to Kris.

Digital Service is a great idea, but you can't ask for tap water, and when you do the servers just shrug. The Food was cold, small and expensive even for airport standards - but the music was good and there was plenty of room because no one else is there.

Absolute rubbish! No table or bar service all done through an app which is an absolute pain at processing stage. Drinks took a lifetime and poor quality Prosecco. Food was next level appalling. Nothing like advertised looked like a freezer fallout meal. Gutted this is pretty much all T1 had to offer in actual dining.

Stopped by on my trip back home, there is a good choice of food and drink. It’s pretty pricey as most airports are but had great service from Kris.

Most inefficient system in the world. Just wanted a drink, but need a degree in I.t. loads of bar staff doing nothing because you have to order by phone or at the empty till

Today I had a chicken kebab from The Grain Loft it was very tasty and I would definitely recommend. The staff are very friendly and the place was very clean I had a very welcoming experience

Kris provided outstanding service during my recent visit. His attentiveness and menu knowledge was impressive, and he anticipated my needs effortlessly. Kris's positive attitude and dedication greatly enhanced my dining experience. I would definitely recommend this place, not only is the food 10/10 but the customer service is exceptional.

Served by Kris, really felt welcome :) They should ditch the order on your phone stuff when it’s quieter tho, much nicer to have a person take your order

Pay on phone only! To someone who’s not great on technology this isn’t ideal. I spent 10 minutes trying to order some drinks to then go to payments which wasn’t working at all. After trying twice I gave up. I then explained to servers I couldn’t do it and they only then suggested assistance from proper ordering (with staff). Only 1 til and 1 server to handle at least 6 people who also had similar issues. £55 later we were still waiting a further 10 minutes for 5 drinks to arrive. Just seems unnecessarily difficult when it wasn’t even busy.

Kris was very efficient and talkative. Breakfast was good and served very fast which was good.

Our waiter, Raymond, was super friendly always smiling. The food was lovely too! The only thing I would say is that it was quite warm so would be good to have the temperature a bit cooler.

Would give the food 4 stars but the service 5 stars. When we finally got through checkin and security we headed to the Grain Loft for some breakfast. We were greeted by a member of the staff called Kostas who looked after us throughout our time in there, cannot thank him enough. I would recommend asking for him next time anyone is eating there.

Ordered 3 hot drinks and espresso was cold on arrival to the table. The 4 soft drinks were OK. Ordered chips for £5 and half the 20 chips were cold. Unfortunately not the best experience 😕

There are no wait staff... order at a booth. Then the food comes out to the tables...however our Bus Boy, Kris, was great a really nice man who was kind and curtious.

For an airport pub, this one had a really good atmosphere, and the food and drinks were delivered very quickly. I had the chicken tikka masala and to be honest, the sides were better than the main. The curry didn’t have a lot of flavour, but did contain more chicken than I expected. The prices were expensive, but this is normal for an airport!

Yikes. Everything about this place is in service to the great big profit machine, Mammon. Expect the bare minimum here in order to extract your cash. There's little indication of any actual humans involved in this business, let alone humanity. I feel sorry for the life that somehow, through some unfortunate act of karma, ended up as a food-like product here. Cue the automated AI response in 3... 2... 1...

Only able to order via phone and you need to sign into their WiFi or the payment will decline but still ‘pending’ charge your credit cards. Table dirty and card menu smeared in food. Food ok but not warm at all

Fish and chips are of good quality (better than chippy or a Wetherspoons), The sparkling water came cold with a glass full of ice and a straw! Using the QR code system was simple and straightforward, similar to way Wetherspoons does table service. Very fast service!

Food portions are very small. Easy place to chill before a flight

Despite having a large bar it isn't actually possible to place an order through human interaction, you have to use a phone and piss about trying to order via a QR code. Didn't bother and went to Cafe Balzar instead where you are greeted by happy people and can place an order by speaking to them, miraculous!

Decent atmosphere for an airport pint. Decent music. Not ridiculous prices for the airport. App order wasn’t working for me but managed to a person to someone to order from.

Forced to order online and not at the bar. This is a problem when waiting for a flight as you have no idea when your drink will arrive. We waited 30 mins for ours and had to leave to board. If we were ordering at the bar we would have got our drinks much quicker or realised that the bar was too busy to wait so wouldn't have ordered. This service does not work in an airport.

Food was nice but expensive. App also took payment pending then said error. Cost nearly £50 for 2 small breakfast, a coffee and a small cup of juice.

Service from Kris was exceptional. Very pleasant, friendly and enjoyed a great conversation. Food is great. Atmosphere could be better early morning, music was a little loud. Would be fine if it was a little later on in the day.

Great experience at the grain loft a few pints of morretti and a breakfast butty at 7am cant beat it , made better by kvis who has great customer service skills and makes sure you've got everything you need kvis deserves a raise great guy !

Nice enough for a quick meal before a flight. Food came out worryingly quick - the nachos were soggy suggesting the plate had not been freshly made? Music is too loud. Will try somewhere else next time.

It’s really amazing to met new people that are so kind and nice and caring ! I went to this lovely restaurant before flying to Greece ! I met this amazing and sweet man named Costas which is Greek and we had such a good chat about Greece people and life ! His survive was very good and smiley and his vibes are very positive and I just love to met people like him ! So next time will be definitely coming back to the grain loft not only for the good breakfast I eat but to see Costas again ! Thank you so much I feel grateful 🙏

Don't wait to be seated as the sign asks as no one will ever seat you as it's been order by app for a good few years and I had the pleasure of telling many diners this over an hour as was seated by the entrance watching them queue up.

Overpriced food, badly poured guinness, pg tips tea, food and drinks not arriving together. If other places are less busy go there

We were flying out from Manchester early morning and Kostas made our day! Wow! He went over and beyond with customer service. He was super nice, chatty and always willing to help. Our order came extremely fast. Food was delicious! Like never before and Prossecco was just delightfull it was a cherry on top! Thank you so much Kostas!!!

Overall it was a very disappointing experience. The portion was laughably small for a breakfast main especially given the price. Not to mention that my coffee was cold before I even started drinking it. I was left hungry, with a bad coffee and thoroughly disappointed having spent far too much for the pleasure.
