The Gorilla Kitchen (Mobile pizzeria) in Brighton and Hove

Waited for over an hour for take away pizzas from The Gorilla Kitchen on two occasions now at The Star in Steyning. We were told on both occasions that the wait would be half an hour. When I raised this with the guy who cooks the Pizza (in a van in the car park ) he told me that he had to wait an hour and a half when he went out for a meal recently and that he didn’t complain (so I shouldn’t either! ) Shame because the pizzas are good but we won’t be recommending them to anyone in Steyning. Lots of young families also waiting in the car park looking very fed up.

Best Pizza in West Sussex bar none! Tasty, perfect crusts, amazing toppings. Great value for money. And the real test - really good cold the next day if any left!!

Found their van at a local brewery. AMAZING PIZZA! So good, you should try it if you get the chance. Do it!

The best pizza I have ever had! You can tell the love and attention that has gone into sourcing the ingredients and making the pizzas. They always have seasonal specials, often showcasing some very special ingredients, Nutbourne tomatoes, cured meats etc. My favourite is the Gorilla but they are all absolutely delicious. A credit to the Sussex street food scene- I couldn’t recommend them more.

Best best best pizza I know and everyone says the same. The chef Rob is the sweetest pizza maker and he is very passionate about what he does.

Really crispy thin crust pizza, generously topped with high quality ingredients. The toppings look a little sparing but there is more than enough when you get to eat them. Really delicious. I'm a bit of a food obsessive but I tend not to review unless something is worth 5 stars. Well earned in this case. Not only the food is great, everybody is really friendly and you can tell that there is passion in presenting a top quality product.

I was at the Weyfest festival last weekend. The Gorilla Kitchen was one of the food vendors. What a revelation. Their pizzas are divine! Imaginative and generous toppings, large base and super thin. So good I refused to share any with my husband!! I went back two nights running. I can’t praise them highly enough. They were the most popular stall, long queues all day and night, the staff were friendly and they worked their socks off. It’s a pity I don’t live nearby. I shall judge all future pizzas by their very high standard.

Had a pizza from this mobile Pizza oven, in West Chiltington, 3 weeks running. The pizzas are delicious. You can even sit there and eat at tables and bring your own wine/ drinks or take it home as we do.

Possibly the best pizza I’ve ever tasted. I’m not kidding! It should all be about the flavour, right? All the ingredients in Roberto’s pizzas are the best he can source and it really shows. Super-thin bases, so as not to crowd out the incredible flavours. Cannot recommend highly enough

My first experience of Roberto’s amazing pizzas. Staying with my lovely daughter in Brighton for the first time since last August. Thank you so much. Loved the Vesuvio without the chillis. Loved the thin bases. Loved the marinara. What a treat for a first visit back to Brighton since lockdown.

Visited tonight at West Worthing station, really lovely looking pizzas and great customer service. Very friendly. We arrived just as they were closing and they, very kindly, stayed open to serve us. Really appreciated! Thanks guys, will definitely be coming back.

We caught Gorilla Pizza at Steyning (by the Star Inn) on a Wednesday evening. My word, these pizzas are good! Full of flavour, and far better than any I have had for a long long time. I want to have another one now! Lovely people, lovely pizzas and a lovely town.

Pedí la pizza Vesuvio. ¡Delicioso! Excelente pizza, gente encantadora corriendo gorilas y un ambiente encantador. Qué gran noche, definitivamente volveremos.

Probamos Gorilla Kitchen por recomendación y no nos decepcionó. ¡Se puede notar la popularidad de algún lugar cuando la gente hace cola un viernes por la noche ventosa y espera a la hora para una pizza! Fabulous freshly made pizza. We had 3 pizzas between us - marinara, pepperoni and margarita on Worthing beach this afternoon. All 3 were very tasty, the best was marinara. We would recommend Gorilla Kitchen as they make the best pizzas!

A marvellous first meal out in nearly 3 months! Sat on the beach in glorious sunshine eating this slightly expensive but totally worth it pizza - would recommend!

Normalmente no me gustan mucho las pizzas, ya que he viajado por Italia por mi trabajo y me han decepcionado con frecuencia las que he comido allí. Un colega de trabajo me sugirió que probara los de Gorilla Kitchen en mi pueblo y ¡no hemos mirado atrás desde entonces!Roberto y Fiona siempre han sido muy amables, nos recuerdan por nuestro nombre y son muy complacientes. Por lo general, compartimos solo una pizza entre nosotros (ya que son de tan buen tamaño) e incluso nos dejaron tener diferentes ingredientes en cada mitad porque nos gustan cosas diferentes.Los hemos echado de menos durante el bloqueo hasta ahora y estamos muy interesados en ayudarlos con este servicio de entrega de prueba.

Comimos sus pizzas por primera vez en la Feria de esquí de Londres. Fue absolutamente delicioso. La mejor pizza! toda la familia estuvo de acuerdo. . . . Tuvimos que volver por más. . . Así que el sábado pasado visitamos Brighton durante el día, y estábamos listos para pizzas más increíbles a las 5 pm en la ubicación del faro de Shoreham. No puedo recomendar lo suficiente!

Top-quality, authentic pizza. All the elements as good as they can be and a proper wood fire. Really doesn’t get better.

What a perfect way to end a lovely day in Worthing. The chef was so friendly, the staff were helpful, and sitting on the beach to eat delicious pizza watching the sun set was amazing! The pizza itself was delicious - we had the Marinara and the Special (bacon, mascarpone etc) - would definitely recommend. Want to go back to try all their other pizzas!! Wonderful atmosphere, just perfect :)

Absolutely love this little gem of a place on our seafront in Worthing. Have been quite a few times as it’s just so convenient to where we live in West Worthing. You can sit & look at the view whilst eating the best pizza ever! They use the freshest ingredients which just explode with flavour in your mouth! The owners (Robert & Fiona) & their team are so friendly & helpful! Well worth a visit or three!

We visited on a Thursday when the van was outside London Road station and were warmly greeted by the staff who were friendly and made sure we were happy. The pizza was tasty and just the right size, we will be returning! :-)

Can highly recommend the Vesuvio and Gorilla pizzas which are our regular favourites (though the La Reine and Summer Garden also fab). Pizza covers a whole spectrum of quality but the ones from Gorilla Kitchen are made from the finest ingredients. Great tastes, great service.

Ok, I haven't tried every pizza place in the UK, but it's hard to imagine anything better. This mobile pizzeria with wood-fired oven is outside London Road station most Thursday evenings and is very popular with locals (who include me). The pizza bases are thin and superbly flavoured and textured, and there are just a few regular toppings plus a special every week. The simplest, the margherita, is my favourite - the simplicity allows the quality of every ingredient to shine through. You'll struggle to find pizzas as good as this outside Italy, and even there it would be among the better ones - and there's no higher praise than that. Not the cheapest pizzas ever, but worth every penny.

Best pizza in Brighton by a long way. And probably the UK. 6/5 would recomend. Go to London road station on Thursdays from 5-9 and you won’t regret it.
