Colosseo Hove - Ristorante Italiano in Brighton and Hove

We came here for the first time on sat to celebrate my birthday, we had a table of 5 . We had calamari to start and the cured meats and both were delicious. I ordered the clam linguini it was reminiscent of a dish I had in ischia Italy and just as authentic and fresh ,everyone enjoyed their evening and we will definitely be coming back .

One of the best Italian restaurant in the area. You can pick up everything in the menu and will come amazing.

I had seafood ravioli but it was tasteless and mushy like it had been frozen.

I treated my family to a lovely meal at colosseo restaurant and absolutely everyone enjoyed theire food . We had 3 grilled filet steaks cooked to perfection 1 medium 2 medium rare with sauce on the side,. 2 grilled salmon with tropical orange sauce, Both my wife and niece loved the salmon. I would highly recommend to give a try to my friend&family Thank you Billy and team, specially for looking after and being patient with my 2 year old baby girl. God bless, See you soon

One of the best small restaurants I have been to in a long time superb food outstanding service and a great price they even put on a little birthday surprise for my step daughter with candles and music absolutely brilliant will definitely be going again places like this are far and few between and am glad to find this gem locally thank you guys!!!!

Me and my husband went on a Tuesday lunchtime as we were passing by the owner greeted us with a lovely warm smile the food was delicious I came back on the Thursday eve with a group of 7 ladies again the owner greeted us with such warmth everyone enjoyed there food lasagne chicken calamari all the dishes were finished with clean plates all round with the owner asking if we all enjoyed the food will definitely be back and the extra bit of birthday cake was a extra treat thankyou 😋

In a world of chains, fast food and technology, it is rare to get the family out of the house and just ENJOY an evening. Here is perfect. Family run, with an owner who is front forefront of everything that makes this place brilliant. You can go there and be welcomed with a smile, and a sincere one at that. Your kids can be kids, and you can order fresh food made with heart, at reasonable prices. Everyone enjoys being there, and as my 9 old said: "It's just great! You're with your family and eating great food and they give you things. What else do you want?" Love this place.

Top quality food with the highest quality service. For a true authentic Italian meal I cannot recommend this restaurant anymore. I have tried quite a few dishes from the menu over the last couple of years and every one tastes just as good as it looks. Restaurant is on the smaller side but this adds to the atmosphere. Would recommend booking in advance.

We love going to this resteraunt the food never fails to impress Billy is the perfect host and all the staff are so attentive without being intrusive. The tables are well spaced and as mum now 92 needs a walker it is easy to manover her to any seat. The food is always excellent and we think it is the best place for steaks in B&H

Ate here on the 30th May, it was a last minute booking and fortunately there was one table for 4 available. The staff were very welcoming and professional, the restaurant was a nice size and the menu offered enough choice to suit most. The food itself was tasty and very well presented and I would happily revisit. Despite it being busy, we were not rushed. Thank you for an enjoyable evening..

My first visit this year to Colosseo today. The food and hospitality were both five star. From the moment you arrive, Billy creates a nice relaxed atmosphere to enjoy the wonderful food in the menu. My mussels today were divine. They set the bar for excellent customer service. Will be back very soon.

Considering Colesseos was opened during COVID, it is such a joy to see this restaurant has gone from strength to strength and a firm part of the Hove restaurant scene. The food is fabulous and the service is warm and thoughtful. Highly recommended.

Our regular gentlemen’s evening kicked off at the cafe next door to Colosseo. As we finished our coffee’s, the restaurant owner came out to say hello and as we were just several feet away from the front door, he offered to park my mobility scooter around the back by his kitchen. Our usual incredibly friendly welcome was followed by incredibly tasty spaghetti bolognese and pizza’s. We were the first evening customers at 6:00 and by the time we left at 7:30 every single seat was occupied. As usual, the farewell was as warm as the welcome. Our final stop was the pub up the road and overall the evening could not have been better. Billy certainly contributed to making it a wonderful evening. Take a bow. You sir are a star.

Delicious! The food was amazing, atmosphere was superb and absolutely top notch hospitality. Our waitress was super sweet and attentive (not sure of her name but she had blonde hair with a fringe). You can tell the owner really cares for his patrons as he was connecting with everyone throughout the meal. Charming restaurant and can't wait to come again 😁!

We came for a family evening meal with my in-laws over from Argentina. We live in Hangleton and have driven past this place so many times without giving it another thought. When looking for a nice Italian restaurant in Trip Advisor, I thought I’d follow the reviews and taken a chance. So glad I did. Service was great and the food excellent. I ordered rhe seafood linguine, might be the best one I’ve been had. Absolutely delicious!

This is my new favourite restaurant- I’ve been twice now and both times the welcome, the meal and the wine have been truly exceptional. I tried the filet steak and sea bass, whilst friends raved about the pasta dishes too…. Some fabulous wines on the menu and to top it off, the friendliest welcome and great service… I dont want to say too much more for fear of not being able to get a table next time I want to go there!!

This lovely authentic Italian restaurant is located in Portslade, and i have to say it's amazing. As soon as you walk through the door, you are always welcomed by the staff . The food is good, old, honest Italian food which is cooked with love and care. The only downside to the restaurant is the size of the dining room. It's a little small, so i guest booking to avoid disappointment !

This is truly an authentic italian cusine, amazing service, delicious food, very clean and authentic dishes. I tried seafood pasta and Calamari and i was very impressed, see you soon!

Yet another fantastic meal at Colosseo...the Parmigiana Di Melanzana for starters was amazing. I've had it elsewhere before, but this was in a different league & I'll definitely be having it again!! I had spaghetti with meatballs for my main & the portion size is generous, but very tasty. My mum had the salmon special for her main & she said it was very nice & just the right amount. Billy & his small team work wonders & he has a lot of regulars who he greets by name....he must have a good memory! Highly Recommended, but call to book as they get very busy & you wouldn't want to be disappointed.

Popped in yesterday with a friend on a chance. So happy when they managed to squeeze us in. Although they was having a busy Friday night. Service was very attentive and the food was served in good time . We both had the Pollo Milanese, I had the last piece of Banoffee Pie and my friend had Tiramisu. My partner and I went here for a quick lunch, and I can honestly say it was the best Italian food I have ever had! The service was incredible and everyone was so lovely, very affordable, and an all around wonderful experience. Coming back again as soon as possible!

Second lunch here. Lovely restaurant. Nice and small. Owner is super friendly and welcoming. Both times I've had the chicken caesar salad (see photo for beautiful presentation) as it's delicious. This time I had the burrata to start, first time the salmon and prawn cocktail. Both were fresh and light and tasted great. The Pinot Grigio Blush was served cold and really complimented the food. No room for dessert so I can't comment on them. This is somewhere I will definitely not hesitate to visit again (& again!) The only reason I've given 4 stars for the atmosphere is because they were quiet lunchtimes. I'm sure if it's busy it would be buzzing.

I took my partner here for her birthday, it was a Wednesday lunchtime. It had just opened and we were one of the first in. We was greeted by a lovely gentleman and taken to our table, it soon got busy but that didn’t stop the waiter (who I believe to be the owner) remembering who was in order. The food came out in great time, the service came with a smile and good conversation. Everything we needed was catered for. The food was delicious and we enjoyed every moment. Amazing food and reasonable prices! Really friendly staff! Been to countless restaurants in Brighton however this one tops the cake. A tiny gem hidden a few miles from Brighton town center but definitely worth the trip if you’re looking for good food and little bit of a laugh.

Heard great things about Colosseo and they were right ! Popped in for lunch with three friends. We were warmly welcomed and seated. There was a lunchtime special menu of 1 course for £8.95 or 2 courses (starter and main) for £13.95 or the regular...

What an amazing place to eat . Authentic Italian restaurant. Had a 3 course meal , glass of wine and finished off with a liqueur coffee… The owner and other staff were incredibly welcoming..
