Return to my favourite Chinese for the New Year….However, no festivities, no new decorations and no special menu. This did not matter as we were here for the food but alas (and this is the second time now) we were disappointed. We ordered classic staples (Chicken Chowmein, Prawn Toast) did not hit the mark. The food was strangely lacking in depth and flavour.

As always the food was delicious and the service impeccable.

Very underwhelming. The beef and blackbean had no sauce. The rice was fine, the spring rolls weren't nice at all and tasted strange and the noodles with beansprouts had far too many beansprouts. Portions were okay size but the taste was average at best. I won't be returning.

Food and service very good, however very cold and disturbing with all takeout orders on first ground floor.

We have been here a couple of times before. Always felt very welcomed. The food is fairly good – not the best but neither the worst. Service is always excellent. This time though we had reserved for the day after, we landed up today and fortunately were offered a table. Surprising that the booking shows no availability but for the first one and a half hour the entire basement seating was 75% vacant. We were given a table in one of the alcove, which I’m sure is good for some people, but it was very claustrophobic so we requested for another table and we offered another one at the back end. When we requested for one in the middle we were told that tables had been booked on phone ‘ by ‘the table. This is the first time we have seen a restaurant where tables are booked by the table, not by number of people who are, attending. It seemed to us that the tables in the corner were for Asians or people who are Asian looking. The service though, was good, it was so rushed that by the time you were halfway through your first course your second course was on the table . Not a memorable experience in a restaurant which we like. The manager in the basement seating area was rather cold and non-cooperative. Incidentally, the bathrooms are very slippery and I had to report it because the old gentleman nearly fell down there.

We had an excellent dinner last night - food was excellent we had the monk fish which I had not tried before. The service is outstanding - polite friendly and efficient . I iwll be back !

Absolutely terrible. Filthy cultlery, food smelled of trash, and the waiter took over an hour to bring some rice and another 20 minutes for bottled water. Absolutely outrageous.

The staff at the restaurant is very mean and not nice at all . I ordered online and they did not sent me the order and they was very mean when I tried to explain them saying is not their fault that the driver stole the order . And not giving us any money back!!!! Order being around £350 because we also ordered some drinks !

Was on the plus side of middle of the road CHINEESE eatery. It will do but could not recommend this to a friend. Prices seem high until food comes & all portions are double size & suitable for 2 persons. Ordered a slightly hot chicken dish which came very very strong even for guests that like a medium curry so beware.

The food is delicious, delicious, delicious, more delicious than the other The menu is varied with an appetite that requires everything However, the staff helps you choose. *Requires advance reservation I came without a reservation for one person and they sat me at the bar, so I expect it's better that you make a private reservation if you're a group. You must try it, it is delicious Prices are high

Very underwhelming food... the egg fried rice we ordered was the most tasteless fried rice I've had in my life. Other dishes were also similarly mediocre. There are way better Chinese food in London and I struggled to understand the glowing reviews this restaurant received.

We had a set dinner. It was nice but the portions were too big. I recommend you take this into consideration when ordering.

If you want authentic Chinese food then this is the place to visit. Efficient Friendly staff with prompt service. We started with the crispy duck, really tasty perfectly shredded, tiny criticism, needed a bit more sauce. Mains of sweet and sour chicken and sizzling chicken in black bean sauce, full of flavour. The noodles with beansprouts particularly good. Give this place a go, it's our 4th visit,bit never disappoints.

I visited for a business lunch and was warmly greeted by the friendly staff. The food was excellent, made with fresh, flavorful ingredients, and the ambiance was pleasant. I will definitely be looking for another opportunity to return and try more dishes! 👍🏼 👍🏼

Hello we have been loyal customers of the Good Erath for many years and always like it a lot. the food is still good but a few things have changed, normal i suppose, but still good. the service has never changed it has always been excellent and very courteous and still is very very good. this is the second time i write a reviews for this restaurant and I have to say my only concern as last time is the cost that has gone stratospheric it is TOO Expensive and there no incentive like a loyalty card for future visit discounts. we will still visit and eat at the Good Earth but not as often as we did in the past. thank you Georges & Marie Khachfe

Great food, great drinks ( best Mojito I’ve ever had) and superb service. It was a delight! If you are in London and want great Chinese food and wonderful service then this is the place to go.

Located 500m from Harrods, this beautiful Chinese restaurant is spread over 2 floors and offers non-stop service. Very clean and sumptuously decorated, with tables equipped with a central rotating glass top for sharing typical specialties of local cuisine. It is also possible to sit at the bar to have your meal. The prices are in line with the neighborhood, but the service and dishes are up to par. Good address!

Prompt service but food is average considering the price. Platting could be more refined. But many options of sizzling plates / clay pots which make a good experience.

The directory shows that they close at 10:30 but it has been 3 times i pass by and they tell me kitchen closed. Restaurant is run by employees who want to rush back home. Its summer and the sun is up until 10 and you cannot have dinner at 9

I tried the dim sum, which is only available during the week; it's not offered on weekends. 🥟The pork and shrimp dim sum were simply amazing. 🍲The Vietnamese-style soup, which resembles pho, is even better than pho. The meat is much tastier. 🥡🥢The service is excellent, and I really enjoyed it 😊🌝

Off from bus, saw the Chinese sign, nice restaurant, clean .fried rice in little cute wood bucket, they didn’t have wide noodles, only have yellow noodles. Dishes are small portion, but taste good .after done with food they sever the hot towel for clean hands, that very old way when I’m young in HK. Very good service,

Went here for dinner after visiting the Victoria and Albert museum and we all agreed it deserved more than 4.3 stars!! Service was stellar and food was elegant and incredible. Would highly recommend getting an appetizer or two, but leave room for the main courses as well!

Literally just dried rice noodles barely any chicken or prawns terrible years ago this restaurant was nice now it’s a disaster plus the price for this food on the menu it’s like £14 and we went there for lunch they charged £18.80 for this dish takeaway put it in a trash not edible

We normally eat at the Mill Hill branch of the Good Earth and visited Brompton Road as we were meeting friends. We were not disappointed as the staff were helpful and friendly and the food excellent.

As always the Good Earth is one of the best quality Chinese restaurants in London. Staff are fantastic, service is great and the food quality is terrific. Highly recommend.

Food dreadful , very poor , no flavour . Sauces thick and gloopy ! beer warm - wine also poor for extremely overpriced meal .

My wife had the peppercorn beef with rice and it was very good. I had the Vietnamese beef broth noodle soup but would not recommend it. They would not seat us even though there were empty tables the whole time we were there, so make a reservation. We sat at the bar. Service was good otherwise.

The dishes were not bad. But they are overpriced. The location is convenient, very near many museums. May or may not visit it again.

Great ambience, lovely table downstairs, food was fantastic (as always), all the staff so friendly and helpful. It was my friends’ first visit and they were beyond delighted with the experience. Well done to all. This restraunt has maintained its high standards and I am looking forward to my next London visit to Good Earth.
