Food is average at best, very little veg in any of the dishes and all tasted bland

Horrific. The food was so despicable I didn’t allow my family to eat it and I’m promptly going to be reporting this takeaway to Environmental health.

Enjoyed a really delicious, very reasonably priced takeaway a few nights ago. Would definite recommend.

not local to area so was please to find take away full of locals for Saturday evening Chinese, we thought the food was plentiful, enjoyable at a reasonable value

Normally in my opinion this is the best Chinese around but today I had the worst takeaway. So much salt in the food, unable to eat it. The salt n pepper chicken was not to the standers it normally is. All portions were smaller. Not enjoyable

Cash only premises. Food was good, portion size was average.

Disappointed in the Small portions - shrinkanomics! A lot of vegetables used were just onions and beansprouts. Wouldn’t order again.

It is with great regional et I write this I hav used golden wall for many years but tonight I was disgusted having daughter and her younger daughter over for Chinese.the noodles were dried out and unbeatable I complained although chips were replaced chips were ok not the standard they usually are so I though oh well at least I have the rest that looked good unfortunately I found Museveni vomiting after finding 3 black hairs disgusting I really want my money back I hav never had to complain in 34 years I’d hoped they would offer money bk but now am feeling sick after throwing up

It says they do delivery but when I called up they said they don't do it but it's still on there website they do delivery they need to update there website

My family are all quite big fans of the place. I'm not. I used to love it under the previous management. The curry was different, hot and spicy. Now its sweet and sickly.

spent £40 and it did not fill three of us, the portion sizes are very small and they also do not take cards.Bens chinese just down the road is much better quality and portions.

Folk from the Chinese takeaway we usually go to had the temerity to shut up shop go away on a brief holiday for Chinese New Year the other week, or something. So tried this other local one instead. Dreadful! Food consisted of weird squareish chunks of material that probably started out as some kind of low-grade chicken product, but might as well have been textured vegetable protein by the time they'd finished adding their 'delicious cooking sauces' to it. Yurrrgh. The various cooking sauces we tried were NOT delicious. Food was all of poor quality throughout. Disappointing. Would not consider visiting this place again.

This is the worst Chinese food I have ever had in my life. Tried a whole range of takeaway dishes and every one of them was rancid, stale fat tasting, greasy and repulsive. Ate some then had to throw the rest of it out. Shocking. Really disgusting. I was appalled.

Really good Chinese and fast to prepare food. Never had any issue with the quality of the food. Really nice delivery guy also. (The guy with the black glasses). He was very polite and had change ready for me straight away. Don't normally tip but he was fantastic and gave great service. Well done! Will order again for sure!

We have been customers of the Golden Wall for 6 years now. I usually order the Singapore Chow Mein extra spicy which they always get spot on. All their chow meins are very tasty and if asked they will adapt the contents to whatever you prefer whether less veg or spice content, especially with the curries. Also the chilli beef is also very tasty and moreish. (but isn't very spicy normally so ask for extra spicy if you want a bigger kick and they will add fresh chillies to it) My husband who is Chinese usually orders sweet and sour chicken or mixed (chicken, pork and king prawn) battered balls as he says it's his comfort food (even though not really authentic). The chicken balls are always very large with a crispy coating and fluffy inner coating, very filling and satisfying. So delicious with the sweet and sour sauce, which unlike other places we have tried is not too sweet but spot on. When I call the lady always remembers our name and is very friendly and sometimes we get free prawn crackers which is always welcome!! The only dish that I have tried which was a little disappointing was the duck in plum sauce. The duck was a little fatty and a little on the tough side. There are English options for the non Chinese eater, which I guess is great for families and children who are picky eaters. We live in Berkeley where there is a Chinese takeaway, which we have tried twice but were very unimpressed with. So when we decided to try somewhere else we came across The Golden Wall in Dursley. We so enjoyed the food that we have become regular customers. Therefore when we want comfort food we order from here. I'm surprised about the negative comments on here so I had to write about our experience with them. We have never had to wait more than 15 minutes to pick up our food. Didn't even realise that they delivered!

So my youngest son wanted a Chinese takeaway for his birthday but the two Chinese takeaway shops we normally use are both closed on Tuesdays, so we decided to try The Golden Wall in Dursley and they delivered which was a bonus. Food was delivered pretty quick, a slight mix-up over which delivery was ours but all sorted out and the food was very good. The prices are almost identical to our usual ones and I would definately try them again. Only nit-pick was the plum sauce was very sweet but that was the only minor fault we could find!

We regularly go to the golden wall for Chinese and are always happy with the quality and taste of the food! Always quick and always piping hot. Have tried the other chinese takeaways in Dursley and Cam and will always come back to the Golden Wall it is much better than the rest! Great that they now offer delivery too.

First meal for 2 over charged by £2 told £11-70 when delivered £13-70, after our complaint reimbursed £2. Thought we would give them another chance this time for 4 of us. On delivery we were 1 meal short, the black bean sauce was clear and transparent (dish water). They proved their mistake by reimbursing us all our money and the meal for 4 went in to the bin where it belonged. Disguisting.

We went to pick up our order on a very good recommendations, it was cold, and tasteless, will not be ordering again

I feel terrible leaving a bad review but it was the worst Chinese i have ever tasted. as a new customer i was looking forward to trying this place but myself and my husband were left very disappointed. I order the sweet and sour king prawn, Hong Kong style, the sauce was very watery and tasted like vinegar. The prawns were nice and big but i couldn't finish my dish as it tasted so bad. My husband ordered a chicken curry and the meat looked very questionable! The one good thing is that deliver and we only had to wait 30 minutes on Saturday but I am afraid that i will not be ordering again, the one in cam is much better.

Very fast but we were only ones there. Good was good , friendly staff. Menu was not online so I posted photos of it.

We were visiting Dursley for the first time and knew nothing of this restaurant. It turns out to be very acceptable. There is a very good choice of meals which are served pipoing hot and in very quick time. Well worth a visit.

Como alguien que nunca ha comido comida china antes. Fui al este con poco o ningún conocimiento de la comida que me iba a comer.

Nuestro local chino es una basura, así que decidimos viajar un poco más y salir de la pared dorada. Los platos eran muy sabroso, bien cocinada y nos alojamos caliente hasta llegamos a casa (17 minutos).

Great local chinese takeaway and often special dish menu.

Have had a take-away from here on a few occasions in the past. Thought I would give it another try. Nothing special about my take-away, average only.

Opened 15 minutes early for us. Food was changed as requested. Very reasonble pricing, worth anyone's money!

Got sweet and sour chicken Hong Kong style from here the other night. Not impressed cost £8. Sauce was very watery , mate got chips that tasted like cardboard. Maybe alright after ten pints but not my cup of tea. Much better up north.

Golden Wall was the first Chinese in Dursley, it's been there since I was a kid (and that's a long time!). It's recently changed hands but I'm happy to note it's still the best in town.The owners are lovely, very friendly and welcoming with an excellent selection of food, including a few provincial dishes and a few Thai style options too which is a nice bonus too.Highly recommended.

The service is great and so is the food! I would recommend it to anyone, there are other Chinese takeaways in the area, but this is the best.
