Purchased Fish and chips for the whole family, including children. The meal was freshly cooked to order. The proprietor and his wife were charming and more than helpful, providing smaller portions for the children. After eating our meal it was very obvious that the fish was fresh from the sea. It was delicious. I have had fish and chips from other shops in town and this was by far the best.

Chips weren't cooked enough burger was a nasty texture mushy barely cooked.the only nice part was the curry sauce. Overall pretty crappie.

Fresh local rigg caught by Deal fishmen cooked perfectly - with lovely locally grown chips and mushy peas - piping hot, and all for less than £10. Great take away meal at a great price.

We always go here. Have never been let down. Wonderful food, cooked fresh and always hot. No soggy chips or batter. Friendly people. We always place order to collect and will continue to do so.

This is a very good local take-away chippy. The cod & chips were very good quality (piping hot and crispy chips) the portion sizes are very generous and the price is very reasonable (a generous sized good quality cod & chips for under a tenner these days is a rare find). Would definitely recommend. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was the batter on the underside in the middle of the fish wasn’t as crispy as the rest and just ever so slighty soggy.

Used to be my goto for great fish and chips. Staff were welcoming..when prices go up and you get knocked back on quantity, for a long term customer that's not on! And they knew it. Shame.

Food is OK sometimes but the most annoying thing about this place as with many other Chippies in town is that they don't take cards any more. People don't often carry cash on them these days so if you go there and you've forgotten to get cash out then you're going home disappointed. I normally use Walmer Fish and Chip shop or Seaview near Deal Pier as they always take card payments.

Hot, fresh fish and chips bought and enjoyed very much. There is no cooked food hanging about, because everything is cooked to order.

Ok so we have used this place a few times before and the fish and chips from here was above average, however we had arranged some friends to come over for a fish and chip evening well unfortunately it was really bad, it tasted like it had been sitting there for hours and this was only about 7.30 pm, and on top of that the 2 staff that were serving did not look very hygienic so for this visit I could only rate thee fish the chips and the sausage at a 1 out of 10 probably one of the worse I have ever had, hence won’t be returning.

Food is good cannot say there is a atmosphere, but the owners always have a smile on there face & I like that.

Service was just OK, due to waiting while staff had a little moan at each other. Polite and friendly when interacting with customer, the staff appeared confused as to who should be doing what so disorganized. Fish was very good my partner said one of the best she had eaten, chips very dry and potatoes not had black eyes removed. Most went to sea gulls.

One of the best fish & chip shops in Deal. I can honestly say that I have never had a bad meal from there. I especially love their burgers but their fish and chips are also excellent.

Went with my mum to get some dinner. Impressed with quality and freshness of fish. Big portions and not at all expensive.

Food is always great cook to order usually I would give the place full marks every time Shop is always clean.The staff are friendly and polite and nothing is too much trouble for them. Service is excellent, very good value for money.

The staff here at the Golden Fillet are bloody wonderful. They listen to your order, cook it fresh in front of you, offer salt, pepper etc and give option of open or wrapped. They make polite conversation and whilst food is cooking there are no awkward silences. The food tastes great and in 15 yrs of eating from here I have NEVER had a bad meal. If you're in the area they are worth stopping by and getting dinner.

Friendly and helpful staff ready to serve you as you walk in, nothing to much bother, beautifully cooked fish, chicken, burgers, sausages and delicious pies. I use this chippie every week because they are the best around.

Rig & chips fresh and wonderful. Always cooked to order so you will have a short wait but it's worth it. Polite and friendly staff who provide a great service, sometimes under significant demand.

Pleasantly surprised with this little gem of a chippy. We are not from Deal but wanted fish and chips by the sea front so tried this place. Freshly cooked haddock and chips and I can honestly say the best I’ve had in years ! Chips were perfectly cooked , not dry or over cooked , batter crisp and not soggy and delicious piece of fish - slightly more than we usually pay but worth it

Bought for 5 people. Fish (haddock) was good, chips were soggy, saveloy x 2 was worst ever - rock hard skins and clearly not fresh, fish cakes x 2 ok. Very disappointing. Won't be visiting again aytime soon.

Our family chip shop, always serves freshly prepared and delicious fish and chips! I particularly enjoy their cod, as the batter is crisp and light and the cod itself is white and flaky in texture. You can ring ahead and reserve your order in advance. Superb!
