Popped in before the football and found it a good wetherspoons with well priced guest ales!

Was there for a family catch up. Didn't have food this time. Though food is usually very good value. Didn't go to the bar this time, but service is usually good...

Jay was a great member of the bar team can't rate her highly enough 👍 very speedy service and very courteous.

Amazing place. Id go time and time again. Drinks amazing. Prices incredible. Got the chicken katsu. Everything was crispy… and flavorful. The people are so nice and friendly. I LOVED IT HERE. (Area is a wee bit sketchy, go in a group or be prepare if alone.) so many choices. Lovely app. Clean bathrooms.

Always go here when I fancy cheap food and a cheap pint. Staff are friendly and the food is surprisingly good quality for the price

Me and two pals had a very pleasant Weatherspoons meal here on Saturday. Not too crowded. Nice atmosphere. Short walk to Rodney Parade.

Exactly what you'd expect - hearty breakfast fodder which was ideal for 3 hungry boys (and their mum!). Loved the Miners Benedict. The lady serving was friendly and efficient and the free refills of hot drinks are very welcome. Any chance of some more breakfast options which don't include eggs??

As a visiting football fan this was a great spoons, not just because the toilets are on ground level and the atmosphere was very pleasant but the food was great as well. Nice staff who were very quick at serving and recommended several drinks to try. The beer garden wasn't the biggest but it was adequate enough and I left a little souvenir behind.

The area where it's based and the walk down is rough but then you get inside and it's like a little oasis. Yes it's a Wetherspoon's so you know what to expect but the building is nice with high ceilings and a good layout. Food is good and reasonably priced. Staff were friendly and helpful. We'll definitely be going back.

It's a Spoons, what more can you say? I must say that you do tend to wait a long time at the bar to get a drink. Partially due to being understaffed, untrained but also due to some bartenders serving their friends or regulars first without even asking who was next in line.

Breakfast was shocking, cold, overcooked

Good food and great deals rather let down by tables not cleared after more than 30 minutes. Probably short staffed but otherwise really good.

Overall OK! But the chips weren't very good not your usual standard. Everything else was spot on

Nice staff. Best variety of choice I have ever seen on any pub menu. The building is freezing due to it having two doors (one leading to the car park). Sat there wearing scarfs around around us trying to stay warm!

Very good, but on a Thursday and Friday afternoons, there are often a few guys in a group/groups ,who have gone in straight from work and are very, very loud and spoil the nice atmosphere for other people . Otherwise it's a great place.

Called in for a ☕️ whilst waiting for my daughter-inlaw and ends to having the pancakes with my son. It was quite full and loud as it was Wales v England rugby International . It had a good atmosphere

It's pretty much a bog standard spoons but what makes this different is the staff. They're a lot nicer than the usual staff that you get at a typical spoons.

Had breakfast. This was standard as you expect with any weatherspoons. On this particular day it was freezing temperatures outside. This building being so Large does not hold the temperature so was pretty cold. So eat quickly else your food will get cold pretty quickly.

It's nice to get a drink here because the venue is huge. Played some pool and darts. Got plenty of TV for sports all around. Does get busy and does fill its size easily at peak times but very nice place.

My wife ordered the festive menu turkey and winter veg 3 frozen carrots a dollop of runny mash 2 cremated pigs in blankets and 2 slices of transparent turkey and a square of barely cooked stuffing 2/10 prisoners get better

Its all that you expect from a Wetherspoons

First visit to this Wetherspoon and found it to be usual good standard. New menu now available so tried the steak and kidney pudding. Very nice but could have done with a small pot of gravy.

First time in Newport and this spoons was a great place to eat .... I had the veg curry and it was piping hot and very tasty...one thing I will say is the toilets were very clean, not that I can say that about other places IV been.

The chairs are really grubby and covered in stains. They could do with a proper clean.

What a dive, rude staff and the food is a joke. Half of what was ordered they didn't have, no offer of refund either.

Used to always go there but will not be returning again, had gammon and it came out undercooked, swapped it for a burger which was kinda cooked and the mash potato was burnt, was that bad that my husband who was eating it ended up running to the toilet to be sick from it. Spoke to manager and they said they cook there food for a set time and DONT probe any of it to make sure its actually cooked and to temperature, absolutely appalling im surprised they havent killed anyone doing that. Would give no stars if i could.

My steak was very good and very good value My wife however did not like her slim chicken. Dry and no tast. But we will be back at our own Weather spoons.

A good pint, clean and tidy with friendly helpful staff

Decent Wetherspoons pub with mostly local regulars. Friendly staff but not always the quickest service. Had many meals there and only one time where I had to complain. This was dealt with quickly though and I continue to use the pub regularly.
