The Globe in Aberdeen City

El mundo se ha convertido en un restaurante italiano llamado bocco. La comida es buena pero el servicio es pésimo. La camarera no debería estar allí porque era tan mala. Eventualmente habló con el gerente y él fue bueno, pero deseé que todavía fuera el mundo con un mejor menú y servicio.

Más que un bar que el otro lugar, este es un lugar bastante decente para una pequeña selección de cervezas. Está más cerca de las puertas de salida que de la otra opción y tiene la ventaja de ser un poco más barato y tener un personal más amable y acogedor.

Not the greatest meal but its an airport and to honest not a lot around to chose from. Had a chicken burger meal and a good pint of Tentents. The staff were very friendly and for a airport it was an ok meal

Al pasar por el aeropuerto de Aberdeen ayer, no pude resistirme a ser un turista y optar por los francamente excelentes Haggis Neaps & Tatties - regados con un Whisky. Servicio cordial de la camarera: acaba de salir de turno, pero ella estaba feliz de esperar un par de minutos para tomar mi pedido. Servicio muy rapido y servida muy caliente. Uno de los mejores restaurantes del aeropuerto de Aberdeen. Siempre una buena comida cuando paso!

Tendríamos tiempo de esperar nuestro vuelo, así que decidimos almorzar aquí. Servido por un miembro del personal amable y capaz "Katie". Mucho espacio para sentarse, solo unos cuatro clientes estaban sentados en mesas, apretados entre las muchas mesas / sillas en todo el restaurante. Nuestra comida llegó bastante rápido. Nuestro jamón / queso toasties / chips eran básicos y no el mejor, (ver mis fotos) para 16. 50 para dos personas. Un latte regular era 2. 85. Fue entonces cuando miré hacia arriba para ver a Boots al lado, con una oferta de comida anunciada para menores de 4 años. ¡Deberíamos haber ido al lado! Qué desperdicio de 19. 35! ! ! ! ! (mi culpa) . El precio es una vergüenza para Aberdeen.

£6 for a pint of IPA is taking the piss. Was never cheap but prices upped since refurb which doesn’t make it any better than it was. PA system is deafening.

If cold food and raw eggs is your thing then you will love it here. £31 for 2 breakfasts which were cold and raw egg and 2 slices toast and 2 coffees is extortionate..the service is not to good but the food is worse. Swimming in grease. I will never eat here when I’m at the airport again..better off getting a boots meal deal

Thought we would try out the globe restaurant or cafe again at Aberdeen Airport departure lounge, having been a few times previously, and had terrible experience. Not busy, which was great, should be quick service. We ordered mocha and latte plus one vegetarian an one Scottish breakfast. They arrived within ten mins, however, not sure what the chef was doing in the kitchen that took so long, perhaps harvesting the vegetables himself or sorting through the fridge trying to eek out as many portions as possible. My Scottish breakfast contained one rasher of bacon, one egg, one sausage, one potato scone and a spoon of beans with a side of half a tomato. I was finished within 5 mins, cold beans, no toast, no black pudding, no haggis, certainly did not scream Scottish to me. The other half had vegetarian, scrambled egg which were really nice, pieces of yellow pepper an red pepper, fried, half a tomato, veggie haggis round an a mushroom. Most definitely not £17 worth!!! Absolute rip off and embarrassing. I could not serve that and ask for that price so not sure how or why they can. Hope the renevated / new cafe restaurants due for completion April 2019 is fairer priced and offers better value for money. It would be worth perhaps evaluating portion sizes compared to selling prices as the globe is way off the mark. Overall disappointed again and will be buying sandwiches from now on going forward.

While transiting the Aberdeen Airport, my wife and I had a quick bite to eat and enjoyed a glass of wine. The Aberdeen Airport experience is one of the best since it is small, but very efficient. While there are not many places, you won't be disappointed by the Globe. It literally is nothing fancy, but the service is prompt and the menu is varied. There is also plenty of places to sit.

Was impressed with new extension to Aberdeen Airport very nice indeed , such a pity the Globe Restaurant wasn’t of the same standard, waited 24 minutes for 2 bacon rolls, by the time they arrived coffee and tea purchased when order placed was cold bacon also arrived look warm. Disappointing response from staff when highlighted, shoulders shrugged.

Wanted to enjoy a Scottish Burger. Got a piece of meat between some filthy bread without lots in between. Not really an experience to repeat. Unfriendly staff, really dirty tables, messy all around, sticky from yesterday's beer party... ugly. Better no food than this food here. Still prefer to buy something on the plane than ordering at the Globe. When you're lucky you get something, usually too late, but quality is always below acceptable.

Appalled by the time we waited for freezing cold food and very overpriced in a very neglected area - overall poor!

While our flight was delayed, thought we will have just a tiny ‘dinner’ as we were not too hangry. And if I say tiny.... it was more than Tiny.... overpriced smoked salmon starter one little slice with half of the bread slice and not even handful skinny chips portion was not at at what was expected. Airport prices obviously ! But never experienced that kind ! You wont see us back !

Ordered the globe "big breakfast" what a disappointment, the bacon was cold,the Mattie scones &tomato cold ,the black pudding was a grease bomb. Worst "big breakfast" I have ever had in any airport I have been to. Although the mug of tea was good.

We went in early morning, pre flight and got some breakfast rolls, tea and coffee. Seating area was dirty, the place itself looked like it was mid renovation, with make shift walls and the rolls were rubbish. The order was wrong as well, although the member of staff was polite and quickly rectified the situation. Square sausage resembled cheap meat and sawdust. Please just go the costa further along or wait for some food on the aircraft

How can anyone bear to sit on those foul chairs in the lounge? I didn’t order anything as the environment was just too off putting.

Too small, under-staffed, badly managed and over-priced. Just like the airport, treated like cattle.

Called in with an hour between flights for a bacon roll and a coffee around 09.15 on 16th of Jul. The coffee was served by an extremely unfriendly member of staff, Scots accent with braided hair, and I was given a table number to take with me, you know, the usual little signs with No attached. I tried to find a table but most were occupied 60%, the remainder were piled high with dirty plates, glasses and cutlery. I waited and waited for the bacon roll, asked one of the waitresses twice who told me it was on the way and they were very busy. I did see the Mgr come out and begin to clear some of the tables in the end. Having waited over 25 mins I gave up and went to get a refund, this was done quickly but without even a hint of apology. I know they have a captive audience but there is always a Costa or take some sandwiches, either way stay clear of the Globe.

My favourite item on the menu is Vietnamese noodles with grilled chicken. Full of flavour, very fresh. There's always quite busy and not enough to seating but staff is always pleasant

Was hungry before boarding after long sessions in Aberdeen. Convenient located and quick service. Busy place. The burger “The Full Works” was very good and tasty. Price level ok - 12 GBP. Recommended!

Good food, a better choice than at many airports. Only problem was that it was rather popular and food took a bit longer than expected. They must be doing something right.

We don't normally eat at airports but we have done so twice recently courtesy of Flybe cancelling and delaying flights so buying us some food. The Globe has decent veggie options, the food was delicious and fresh, and it arrived quickly, brought by friendly efficient staff. Nice atmosphere during England's first match of the World Cup!

Standard pub fare in the only restaurant on the airside of Aberdeen airport’s security. Can be a bit of a push to get a seat at this split-height pub/diner at busy times of the day. Service is fine and the food is probably above average, being cooked to order, and reasonably priced. Fish and chips £11.50.

I stopped here for the first time, to sit and have a coffee before boarding my plane. It was too early for me to want to eat breakfast but it was a definite life saver to have some caffeine! Good service and great coffee.Just what I needed!!

Breakfast was reasonable quality, but it was way too expensive and not enough if it. Didn’t even get any toast! This is the only place in departures for a breakfast and it’s always busy. The sooner a Wetherspoons opens up here, the better.

The food and drink here is served by very pleasant staff. They try to keep the area clean and tidy. My main gripe is that there is always a queue to be served at any time. I am sure this is down to the set up. Surely a better system could be devised!

Fantastic Chinese stir fry with chicken. Fresh crunchy and full of flavours. Staff very friendly and attentive. Tables cleaned regularly so no trouble in finding table when it’s busy.

How can it be possible to make a totally tasteless cheese and tomato toastie?? Even the chips were bad

Impossible to describe. 11£ Cesar salad, soft croutons tasteless chicken soft salad. Flat beer. Still in business due to no competition at the Airport. Go to Boots and buy a meal deal. Money out the window, terrible..,

We had breakfast at this outlet to pass the time on waiting for our flight. It turned out to be very ordinary fare and quite expensive for what it was. We enjoyed many good meals on this break and this one proved to be bottom of the league and an embarrassment for the presentation of Scottish hospitality. Management should take heed as this attitude will not survive in the competitive market we work in today.

Visited this pub/restaurant for a meal before flying home from Aberdeen. Service was reasonable and the food was filling. A little cramped table wise, and expensive for what it is.

Popped into the Globe for a quick snack early lunch time, I have been here for Breakfast on a few occassions. The menu selection is quite reasonable but tends to be exspensive

Although pricey, there was a reasonable menu and service was friendly and fairly quick.Our party of four all opted for Scottish Cooked Breakfasts and portions were large and enjoyable. This is one of the better basic airport restaurants.

I had haggis, neeps and tatties. That may not sound very exciting to many people, but I thought it was delicious.

You know what they say about airport food, well this place was a very pleasant surprise!They have a limited range of beer on offer, but a good selection of pub grub and some Scottish specialities.Although it sounds a bit contrived and dire, the Scotch Burger, which consisted of a slice of Haggis and Black Pudding on top of the burger with Irn Bru mayonnaise and robust chunky chips on the side, was actually very good. In fact the haggis on this creation tasted better than the McSweeney's haggis served with 'neeps and tatties' which we had on our return journey and was a bit bland!

Let's first state that I'm an American from Nashville and our airport breakfast is usually out of a package and heated up. Nonetheless, on our way back home we got a traditional Scottish breakfast and it was such a great start for next 30 hours of travel. Having "home cooked", stick to your bones breakfast, fast service and a very friendly and caring staff goes a long way. We will return on our next stop through ABZ. Only 2 restaurants airside at Aberdeen. Both are dire. Have to stand in Q to order. Get to front. Table number required for order..... And you HAD a table till you HAD to stand in the Q to get served. Now other folk have your table. Great. You try to order fish n chips. Its on the menu. Its on the hand written blackboard outside the restaurant. Well. They don't have any and the cashier looks at you like you're stupid for ordering something off their menu?? Anyway... Best advice get to aberdeen early and eat before getting to the airport or eat on the domestic side before security. But The Globe.... Well... Don't expect food or customer service. Their chairs are disgusting too. Black with dirt... Years of grubby muck.

The question is always The Globe or Costa for breakfast. Costa is quicker but sitting down with a back & egg roll plus an espresso before jetting off is quite pleasant.

Passing through Aberdeen Airport, I stopped off at the Globe, as I fancied Haggis Neaps & Tatties washed down with Irn Bru - What else when north o the boarder.Pay at the bar counter, and a few minutes a very helpful waiter brought out the food.Good quality Haggis Neaps & Tatties, for a reasonable price and the Irn Bru was good as well!One to remember next time i'm passing through the airport!

Paid a quick visit here whilst waiting on flight, got a large Latte, priced £2.75, i found this to be a fair enough price for nice coffee.Tables were clean, as was floor, bar area etc. I always find this bar/cafe a little confusing when approaching, thoughts of do I sit & wait for service always coke to me before I see the 'order at the counter & take a number for the table'.

Food is very very uninspiring and expensive. We ordered the smoked salmon plate - sounds nice doesn't it. Well check out the photo. A rip off for £7 - actual cost of a bit of cheap salmon and two stale bits of bread are probably less that £1!

This is in no way one of those places that offers 15 minute menus at the airport. In fact, it doesn't seem to me that staff really realise they're based in an airport at all. There were about 3 or 4 people ahead of me in the queue and everything was done very casually with lots of chatting etc. After I'd ordered and paid I was told there was going to be a 25 minute wait for my toasted sandwich. I wasn't actually in a rush but airport service it is not. The sandwich came on white bread which I personally dislike and at £7 seemed rather steep. It's a tiny airport with very limited eating options so I would recommend eating at home before you fly wherever possible.

The staff behind the counter are working very hard. The process, however, is terrible. After finally getting my order in, I started timing people at the counter. One group took 10 minutes. Average per person throughput was about 5 minutes, AT THE COUNTER.They need to improve the process. If you have the time, it is better to get food outside security. Otherwise just be prepared to wait longer. And the airport was not busy.I wanted to order again, but forget it. Food is good. And as I said, staff is giving it their best. Need waitstaff or something.

It seems to have an improved menu since my last visit and I had a veggie dish (mushrooms on toast with some other stuff) which was ok. Speedy service

Walked passed this place about 50 times a year for many years. Don't normally have time or inclination to stop for food although thanks to SleazyJet and a long delay, I tried it for a sit down meal. Ordered a burger as you can't go wrong with a burger right? Looked great, tasted pretty good too. The tiny portion of chips were excellent tasting though. Staff were bored and unfriendly. Asked for some mayo which she had forgotten about even when re-prompted.Unfortunately, I was violently ill on arrival in London about 4 hours later which I can only put down to the food as I had only eaten fruit and a home made cheese toastie prior to that.Don't think I'll be going back.

I really didn't want to eat anything here ever again after last time's inedible cheese toastie of sorts but my husband was starving. The menu has changed and is a lot better now. I opted for the veggie haggis burger and chips, and it was surprisingly good. I could hardly finish it as it was pretty big and my husband had to eat my chips (which were big thick oven baked ones and not greasy rubbish ones). He had a chicken burger which he said was good too. It's still quite expensive but all airport food and drink is. My only criticism was that my burger wasn't very hot but i couldn't be bothered complaining and ate it anyway as it was fine. Much better this time!

One chicken burger, one cheese & tomato toastie with chips, one pint of Aspall cider, one sparkling water. £25. I shall say no more other than that the staff are friendly.

Having arrived a little early for our flight we opted to have a late breakfast here. Reasonably priced and food is good. Scottish breakfast was good hearty fare and the scrambled eggs with smoked salmon was surprisingly good - often scrambled eggs are rubbery but these were fresh and creamy.

Although my flight was not due to depart until mid-morning, in view of thr traffic congestion heading towards Dyce from the Shire, I had given myself plenty time to get to the airport. As a result, I did not feel like having breakfast at home (too early!) and so waited until I had cleared security.The latte was very good and reasonably priced. However, I felt that my filled roll (bacon) although very tasty, was a trifle expensive at £4.75.The lady who took my order at the counter was very patient with me whilst I made up my mind and very friendly. However, a young staff member went to lift my plate, even although I was clearly not finished.I would eat here again if necessary but would prefer just to enjoy their coffee.

Have eaten lunch here many times. Can be quite busy and services not the speediest if your in a hurry but meal well worth the wait. Had fish and chips this time and was really good. Fish was huge. Crispy batter. Nice and hot. Will definitely be back in the near future

The staff are friendly and work really hard. That's the only positive comment i can make about this place. The breakfasts resemble a heart-attack on a plate. My husband had a sausage and bacon roll and said it was awful. I had a couple of slices of toast for £3. I could have bought a couple of loaves for that price. Drinks are extortionate but they can charge whatever they like really as it's the only place you can get food in once you're through check-in. Tables are crushed together tightly and we had to request someone clear all the stuff off it and wipe it. Wow, Aberdeen INTERNATIONAL airport serving the oil capitol of Europe and that's your lot? Meh.

Terrible food, you will be better of with the pre-packed sandwiches from the shop - and these will even be available with a drink at less than half price.

We arrived at 4:00 for a 6:00 departure expecting only to be having coffees. These were OK but nothing special. However, our flight was delayed by 2 1/2 hours so we were given vouchers against the cost of breakfast. My wife only had toast and butter. A good portion with ample butter. I had the Full Works breakfast roll which was very tasty. Filled with sausage, bacon and egg but not at all greasy. This time I had a latte and my wife had a cappuccino. Again acceptable but nothing special. If it had not been for the vouchers we would not have eaten here as their prices are a bit expensive but this is what happens when you have a captive customer base with no competition. When flying from Aberdeen I shall continue to take my own sandwiches with me.

Watery and flavourless. Would not recommend. Last visit was rubbish as well. Aberdeen needs some good good wholesome food.

Being the only bar in the airport (after security) this place can get rather busy, and it can be difficult to find a seat. This is especially irritating when paired with their fundamentally flawed ordering system, which requires you to tell them,at the bar, which table you will be at, before toy have found one or, indeed, before you've got there, leaving it open for someone else to take. On any given day, their are waiters and waitresses with plates of food aimlessly wondering around asking "did you order thtis meal" almost are random. In fairness, the food is of a good quality (especially for airport food) and the price is very reasonable (again taking into account that this is airport food).

Wandered in here on a night out....band called FUBAR playing.....busy wee pub great atmosphere well worth a visit if in the area.

Had a wonderful chicken salad - it was delicious and nutritious and great value for money! The surroundings were busy and noisy but the food and service could not be faulted!

Came here after work one Friday for a bar meal. Didn't book, but got a table just before the rush. Food was a bit of a wait, but it was fresh, hot and tasty.We will be back. And will book in advance!!

We went to The Globe for breakfast before a flight. The service was good and the food didn't take long to come. We both had the Globe breakfast and everything was really nice. The only complaint would be that I opted to have toast with the breakfast when ordering which I thought was included with the breakfast but realised later that it cost extra when the breakfast was already quite expensive.

Had a Chicken Tikka Massala here last night before my.flight to London. It was very busy, but my meal.arrived within 15 minutes, well presented with plenty of naan. The chicken was good quality and the sauce was rich and tasty.Little expensive- £10.50 but there is little choice at the airport so u guess they can charge what they want! You can get discount vouchers from Eat, Drink &Fly website which I did (20% off food) which I would recommend.Only other small problem was the time it took to be server at the bar, as you order there not at your table (which I would suggest the price warrants?) as there were only 2 staff on duty, but it was very busy.Overall, I would definitely recommend the Globe if at Aberdeen Airport. It is within reach (2mins) of all gates as the airport is fairly small, which is handy.
