Oh my gosh delicious curry washed down with porn star martini. Customer service was good, I can't believe or understand why they will be closing such a fab place.

Popped in for an all day Brunch as we had missed breakfast. Meal was just as you would expect to find in a ‘spoons’ inexpensive no flares fare – I enjoyed it.

¡Me encantó!

Useful meeting up place in the heart of Islington, ok for a Weatherspoons, decor is modern and staff seem friendly. As Islington is pricey worth for the bargain drinks.

Went here with my family and I was astounded when I ordered fish, chips and peas, 2.99 !!! Unbelievable prices so we thought it would be some cheapy breaded fish not a bit of it, excellent fish, huge, lovely batter and the chips, good and hot, perfect. The waitress did say a reason why it was so cheap but not being from London I couldn't pick up what she said but I was just so pleased. All the staff were friendly and cheerful, it was a nice place and nice surroundings too.

Achamos o The Glass Works por meio do JD Wetherspoons.

Nice wee place on the upper section of the Angel shopping centreHave eaten here several times - meals were fantastic and great value for money. Not all Wetherspoons are as nice as this one - staff are wonderful ( even accepted my Scottish £20 without a comment )

I have spent a lot of evenings at this establishment: I have worked in this area for a while and it is a standard place to visit after I attend my college course on a weekly basis. The staff are always on top form and will let you sample their vast range of real ales. I am generally very impressed with The Glass Works, their food being the best standard I can recall of any Wetherspoons pub ( highly recommend the buffalo wings ). The only down side is that on rare occasions the festival ales are poorly kept and require an unexpected trip to the bar, sheepishly mentioning that the beer tastes like vinegar, egg etc. The bar staff are always more than happy to replace my bogus beverage, and keep a light hearted and polite approach to exchanging my pint. Fair play Glass House, you might not be perfect, but your calm tempered staff make it all worthwhile. Cheers!!

This is a typical Wetherspoons, set in the heart of vaguely trendy Islington. Drinks are cheap and food is served in generous slightly tasteless portions, but it is inexpensive. The place, situated on the first floor next to the Vue cinema, is always packed. If you just want to stuff your face and want to avoid the good but expensive mass of Islington restaurants, come here. As with all Wetherspoons, the place has good disabled facilities and free WiFi.

But a good one with good value drinks. There aren't many places in London where you can get a pint of Doombar for less than £3! The barmaid who served me was engaging and funny, as well as efficient. For the hour running up to the gig we were going to, it was perfect. Perhaps a little dark in the corners and the tables sticky in places, but these are minor complaints.

From the good real ales at cheap prices to the nice pub grub, and free cloud wifi, this pub is a great place to meet friends over drinks (free too ups of very good filter coffee till the afternoon). This Weatherspoon pub doesn't have any annoying background music, but the lively chatter ov people is by far the best music you can hear.

This was the 3rd time of a visit here and each visit presented differing problems. The last viis I ordered 2 meals together for my partner and I. Hers arrived and the steak was very undercooked. They returned it 8 minutes later with the same chips and vegetables as it originally came with , now cold. Asked for fresh accompaniments, and they did....with a now cold steak.Mine then arrived with cold peas!! The server just shrugged her shoulders and walked away. The duty manager simply stated it is busy sorry about that!!Made a fool first time, lost a customer on the 3rd time. My advise...eat somewhere else.

Had an hour to kill in the Angel and decided to try a Wetherspoons breakfast. The service was good and the food was decent enough when it arrived but lukewarm rather than hot as was the coffee.A reasonable amount of food for less than £4, so can't complain too much. But the mens toilets had no locks on the doors which was a bit annoying. So an average experience all round. No surprise there then.

Visiting the Angel shopping mall, we decided to have lunch and happened upon The Glass Works. I must say I wasn't particularly impressed. The assistant who served me seemed disinterested, rattling off things I needed to respond to but she'd done it so many times that I could barely understand her. I think I was just expected to know what she said (mushy peas or garden peas is not usually an option I'm offered). And the enquiry re soup of the day had a response - tomato, lentil and broccoli. Yum, that sounds good. Then she said, so which one. Oh, those ingredients were for three different soups? As it turns out, they'd run out of my preference for lunch, then when I ordered coffee they'd run out of coffee beans so she had to go and get those, and then they'd run out of milk so off she went again. And then the wrong lunch turned up at our table. Hmmm. We sat outside overlooking the angel wings (spectacular) but clearly reserved for smokers. One must remember a pub may be great for drinkers but not so good for diners. Food was okay, but definitely on the average side. And on the up side, the person serving me did become friendly and offered better service in the end. I think it would be better to go to one of the cafes on Chapel street (market) unless you're actually wanting a drink at the pub.

We wanted to have a bite to eat after being at the cinema in the N1 Centre and thought 'you can't go wrong with a Wetherspoons' Turns out I was very wrong. The place was absolutely filthy, dirty sticky tables and our feet stuck to the floor. The person who severed me walk off half way through to have a chat on his mobile phone. I was over charged twice and after waiting 45 mins for the food the final insult was it stone cold. You could market this place as a Fawlty Towers themed experience.

Don’t expect to sit down at an unreserved table early in the evening to enjoy time in this place! Was sitting with friends about to order meals when they put a reserved sign on the table & asked us to vacate in 30 mins! A busy pub yes, but no respect for walk in customers. Go somewhere else!

Ordered a delivery costing 24 pounds. The cinnamon swirl was bone dry, almost stale, virtually no icing. Very disappointed to say the least. Food order included breakfast for a child.

I shop here now and again (when I can afford it!) and have always found the staff more than friendly and helpful. Not any more. Yesterday I dropped in and was proud to see that they were stocking my brother in law's Cornish organic antibiotic free cheese. He's a hard working farmer with the highest animal welfare standards where the cows and calves are very well cared for and roam outside in large, lush fields. A member of staff happened to be at the cheese counter and I remarked happily about the cheese and how pleased the family were that Planet Organic were stocking it. Her response knocked me for six. She immediately reacted with insulting remarks about the dairy industry, this cheese in particular and it's anti-biotic free status. She was just so utterly rude and insulting for absolutely no reason leaving me shocked and upset. Why is she working in this shop if she finds the produce offensive and can't be polite to a customer? If she has issues with the dairy industry (and I agree that there are issues with mainstream dairy farming) she should not be working in a store that stocks dairy produce. I won't set foot inside this shop again. A shame. Anyway, it almost went into receivership recently so Waitrose hopefully will take it over and she'll be out of a job.
